I went over the instructions multiple times before installing to make sure I got it right and worked like a charm. No bubbles and it’s on perfectly straight. The quality of the glass amazing and I have yet to see even the smallest scratch on it.

The other phone the screen protector came off while trying to put the case on. After a lot of frustration and inability to thru on the support line, I threw $100 in the trash!

I recently purchased an iPhone 12 pro and was disappointed when I noticed that the otterbox iphone 12 pro case did not have a plastic screen protected included. Naturally I bought the otterbox alpha glass screen protector even though it was way more expensive than other brands. I trust otterbox so I decided to purchase this product. This was a mistake. I applied the screen protector by cleaning the phone before hand and following the directions. However there still were many air bubbles even though I applied it just like how the directions said, with the holder. I then tried to get rid of the air bubbles using the tool provided. While I did get some air bubbles out, the edges of the screen protector did not stick. No matter how much I pressed and held it the sides, it did not stay down causing air bubbles on the corners of my screen. This is very annoying. The quality of this product is very poor and disappointing coming from otterbox. I do not recommend as it was definitely not worth the money. My husband bought a cheaper ($15 screen protector that wasn’t otterbox and it worked way better. Highly disappointed. Do not buy. 0/10

After prepping a clean area, carefully cleaning the screen of every fiber, I used the special applicator exactly as instructed. The result: at least a dozen fibers stuck underneath. I looked at the pieces and realized the “squeegee” has fabric on the application end. Fabric covered in fibers. I’m so disappointed in this terrible design because now I’ve wasted $30 and I’ll have to buy a new one. This is very upsetting, I expected so much better.

The glass appears to be substantial and yet allows full touch function of the phone. The glass easily installed, however the top edges near the cut-out didn't fully adhere. I don't know if this will eventually cause a problem and weaken the glass as dust, etc. may enter under the glass. I attempted to "re-adhere" the glass per the instructions but the area that didn't adhere remained.

One word of caution get it centered perfectly! The Otterbox case may need alignment to keep it from lifting up the corner of the Alpha glass cover. I finally got them to play nice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from new iPhone ,new otter box last winter i was skiing at kirkwood,calif.end of the day in the parking lot i had one ski boot off when i received a text from a buddy asking about ski conditions.i set my phone on the rear bumper of my xterra ,gave him the update, took off my other boot, closed the rear hatch and drove home. 40 minutes later after driving over 2 high elevation mountain passes ,60 mph ,30 degree temps ,i pulled into my driveway, went to open the rear hatch to grab my ski boots and looked down and saw my phone still on my rear bumper. holy S*#& !!! thank you otter box.

It had many hard knocks including a doozy once that put cracks all across the screen (as I feared or at least, all across the protector (as I hoped). But these included a really bad ding in the corner between the case and the protector which I was sure had at least chipped the screen...well, when I was prepping the phone for transferring data to my new one I took off the old case and peeled off the alpha protector. It came off in one piece, to my surprise, cracks and all, and revealed underneath...a perfect screen, not a scratch. So I bought the same product for my new phone and found the install to be completely foolproof...happily using it with the new phone. This is one product that is really worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wasn't compatible with my Otterbox case I bought this screen protector for my iPhone 12 at the same time that I purchased an OtterBox case. I followed the application instructions and used the application device, which is designed to center the screen protector over the screen before you stick it down. I had a few small bubbles that I hoped would work their way out, but when I put the OtterBox case on, the edges of the screen protector were pushed up, leaving giant bubbles in the bottom corners of the screen. I tried several times to push the screen protector down, to remove and replace the case etc, but I couldn't get these two products to work together. I think the problem was that my screen protector ended up too close to the bottom edges of my phone, hence being peeled up when I put the OtterBox case on, but you get one shot with these things and I ended up having to take the screen protector off and throw it out. Again, I followed the instructions perfectly, but I bet applying these things takes practice. I am not sure how people get it perfect on the first (and only try.

Before installing, read the instructions three times, definitely use the installation fixture and thoroughly clean the glass with the wipe and dust removal swabs that are included. Gently lay the glass on the phone and seal with the tool provided. Again, read and follow the instructions and you will end up with a perfect installation. I think the screen sensitivity is slightly reduced with it on but not so much to not use it.

I followed the directions carefully but when I put it in my otterbox defender case the air pockets began to appear and expand just like the 3/$15 options I tried. It had been a long time since shopping for a case and cover, but my first instinct was to return to Otterbox, which has been my go-to source in the past. I was not disappointed. The case is slim, but ruggedly protective. In addition, I purchased the Alpha Glass screen protector. Years ago, I recall purchasing a glass protector for my iPhone 6 and the sales person offered to install the cover because, ".. it's very tricky." Covid-19 kept me from visiting a store, so, with trepidation, I began installing Alpha Glass protector. I was totally shocked at how quickly and easily it applied. The installation guide is clear and the plastic guide makes it easy to apply the glass without bubbles. If you have a new iPhone 12 or 12 Pro, these would be excellent choices to protect your investment. The only suggestion I have for Otterbox is to provide a way to return the plastic guide for reuse, repurposing, or recycling. This would be an additional appeal to everyone who is environmentally conscious.

I've had Otterbox screen protectors before and they provided good protection for my phones for several years with no issues. However, when installing the Alpha Glass protector I slightly misaligned it and once the case was installed it causes excess pressure between the phone's screen and the Alpha Glass screen. This situation results in the appearance of trapped air when looking at the screen. The Alpha Screen itself appears to be very well designed.

On the step in which it states to lift the tab numbered one I did as follows and noticed that the backside of the glass was coming apart rather than the front side which should adhere to the iPhone screen. I stopped and pulled the tab again and it completely came off. I had to stick my nail under the layer which should have come off when pulling the tab. As a result, a minor piece of debris embedded itself inside the area where I use my nail to separate the alpha glass from the superficial cover. That superficial cover should have came off cleanly when pulling the tab. Evidently this is a manufacturer defect. Now I have a piece of debris on the bottom left side of alpha glass as a reminder of that tab that didn’t do what it was supposed to do. Very expensive screen protector with shoddy tabs that don’t lift the superficial cover from the alpha glass when installing. Not impressed.

Used their boxes to hold a big clunky Olympus camera on my Hotshot crew line gear: rain, snow, helicopter water drops, fire retardant, fire, you name it, their boxes just worked. Phone cases and glass are no different. This morning I left my iPhone 12 Pro sitting on the roof of my wife's SUV. She headed to "town" - 30 minutes away - up the freeway to get coffee. iPhone went for a ride on the roof in a Defender and this screen. Came off the vehicle going 70+ on the freeway at about mile marker 15. Realized what I did several hours later, located phone using Apple's Find My Phone and picked up my working phone off the shoulder of the freeway! Case had a few scuffs, this screen protector was shattered and abraded away, and the phone edge trim has a couple slight marks. That's it. Phone glass is perfect. Fixed the case with a file and buying a new screen protector tonight. Sold.

Con: I wasn't able to get all of the air bubbles out when I applied it, so three bubble dots will perpetually bug me when my screen is off. Luckily they're noticeable when the screen is on / lit up. Neutrals: Not yet sure if this protector is worth the extra money, as I haven't had any big (outdoor) drops. Also found it odd that this is an Otterbox branded product, but isn't mentioned as such in the description.

But when I went to put the case on, the corners started bubbling and rolling. Now each corner is bubbled, along with multiple spots along the edges. This is the worst experience I have had with an OtterBox product.

My wife followed all of the directions and still couldn’t get it attached to her phone without numerous problems. We did everything we could to attach them only to have the screen bubble, stick to everything but the phone, and eventually have the adhesive come off, nearly ruining our screens. We ended up throwing them out. Total waste of money.

Are following the directions it and beard nicely but after three days the bottom third of the screen saver was no longer an adhered. This was very disappointing and is making it difficult to access any functionality on the bottom of my phone. Very disappointing

No matter how I apply it, following every bit of the product instructions, the protector won't stay on the phone once the Commuter case is placed on the phone. Huge bubbles from the top and bottom corners, each time, until the protector is too compromised to be repositioned. I wish I'd never bought it.

I’m not sure which, if any, screen protector to get that will properly fit the iPhone 12 in the defender case? Any help?

They told me that I could get a refund, but I had to pay $5.00 for shipping it back. Wasn’t happy about it sincen I didn’t cause the damage. Sent it back, still waiting for my refund. Not sure if I’ll order another one.

I ended up purchasing three of these ($$$ items before getting the application process to work well enough to be acceptable. You essentially have to be perfect on the first try. If not/try to lift and re-apply to fix any issues, it will not adhere properly afterward. This is driven by Otterbox deciding to delete the built-in screen protector on the iPhone 12 Defender case. I've used these cases since they've been available, and went on military deployments for over 10 years without a scratch. I used to swear by these cases. Whether intentional or not, the removal of the Defender case screen protector to force you to use Alpha Glass comes across as a money grab...unless designing a Defender case screen protector costs an additional $40 per case which is highly unlikely.

It has already protected my phone. I was surprised to see two hairline scratches on it. Good thing it was on my protector and not my phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice screen protector and accessory kit to install On the Positive: I liked the comprehensive instructions and needed tools for proper installation. I followed the steps, no case, wet white, dry wipe, use the jig with the screen protector for alignment and it looked great. On the Negative, When my OtterBox defender case arrived, I installed it and then started having bubbles on the edges. The problem was that the alignment jg although it all looked good without the case was off by about 1mm to one side and the edges of the case were pushing against the screen protector causing bubbles. Eventually I remedied this by removing the screen protector, cweaingin everything and putting it on AFTER the case. I ordered direct on the OtterBox site to not give the big online ordering site more money, but OtterBox shipping is ultra slow and not any less expansive than that other site. As a follow up comment to the alignment issue. I had a second screen protector and iPhone to setup and made sure to be better centered and that one was OK on the first try. The screen protector does not interfere with the visibility or function of the touch screen.

So I had to order the screen and wait another week or so. Then after receiving it, I followed every step of the instructions as carefully as possible, but still needed with 3 bubbles that I can’t get rid of. So after spending about $100 all together, now I have an iPhone 12 with 3 little bubbles on the screen.

The case fits too tightly and forces the edges of the screen protector to buckle and raise up from the actual screen. In fact, it caused the glass protector to spider-fracture after just 2 days of using it. The phone case is pretty good by itself, it protects the sides, ends and back of the phone well, but the $39 screen protector won’t work with it At All. Very poor fit for accessories that are being sold as a matched pair with a discount for buying them together. Very disappointed in this purchase. Won’t be buying this sort of set together from Otterbox for any future needs.

The defender case kept pushing up the screen protector soon that’s air bubbles formed. Fine, i reached out to Otterbox customer support who assured me that their Alpha screen protector would fit with the defender case with no issue. No matter how i shuffled the Alpha screen into position with the defender case bubbles still formed on the corners! Now when there’s a button on the top left or bottom i find i have to push down or tap repeatedly. Real shame they couldn’t have tested sizing beforehand!

Glass applied and otterbox outer cover put on...but the glass started to pull up at the lower right edge the next day. A big bubbled prevented keystrokes from being "felt". super disapointing and huge waste of $$.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cut your losses. Save the $40 for the glass. Bought the Otterbox case and screen protector. Case is fine. Should have saved the $40 on the screen protector. I used the provided tool to ensure a correct fit for the glass. It is ok until you put it back in the case. Then air bubble formed at corner and keeps getting bigger and bigger. It finally got to where I was having issues with touch screen. I saw other bad reviews on here and their response was to use the warranty so I was going to try that route. However, you have to pay $6.99 Shipping and Handling for them to send another one that may or may not work.

Being clear the color of my phone is visible while offering the best type of protection. I had an Otter Box on my old phone for three years and when taking it off my old phone looked brand new.
