Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps coming apart!!!!! I got this for my dog thinking it would be the most secure, but within 2 weeks it has unscrewed and the airtag has fallen out 3 times, including in a snow bank!!!! -__-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't buy this! This is the worse case you can buy for your Air Tag. If I could give this case no stars I would. Once you install your Apple AirTag in this case, You will have the hardest time trying to remove the AirTag so you can replace the battery. I feel so bad for the people who have purchased this case for their AirTag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won’t stay together This case WILL NOT stay on. The twist aspect of the case keeps unscrewing every time I put it back together. I put my AirTag in the case, screw on the pieces, and put it on my keychain for its intended use. I’m not doing anything crazy it’s simply hanging from my keychain and it just keeps unscrewing and falling out. It has unscrewed multiple times now and my AirTag is all scratched up now because of it. I have even tried tightening as much as I can and it still will not stay together. I may consider getting another OtterBox AirTag case that may work better but as of right now I can’t trust their products to keep my devices safe

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't Buy The case does not hold the Airtag securely. It will unscrew and the tag will fall out. Have to constantly check to see if it is secure. Don't waste your money. Outer should stop selling these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beware: Case may never open again once closed! As opposed to many of the poor reviews citing the case not closing, my issue was the case not opening again! Absolutely impossible to open again to change the battery in the AirTag, meaning the (not cheap) AirTag had to be thrown in the trash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst purchase ever This is the worst product ever!! Fell off within 5 minutes and won’t stay screwed on. Incredibly disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not what I expected based on the name "rugged" This one quickly came unscrewed, within just a week of use. The sleek case seems to be more secure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Protective Does was it need to and protects air tags good.i like the hard plastic sides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can not get the case off the AirTag. Be careful not taking it out every-once in a while. Got a new phone and you have to re sync it to your new phone upon switching over. To do so you need to pull a tab on your AirTag, well I can’t get the case actually off the AirTag so that’s fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Air Tag Case! This is the best case for the air tags. The others are either too bulky or too delicate to protect the air tags for active people in rugged environments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Steer Clear of the AirTag Case I have protected all of my electronics with Otterbox products, and have completely satisfied until I ran up against the AirTag Rugged case protector. It became unscrewed several times, and I had to hunt down the AirTag. The last occurrence the back was lost - the case is now useless! Very disappointed with what I thought was a promising product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst purchase ever This case is garbage, used it 4 times on my dogs collar and it unscrewed on its own and the airtag fell out. Lost the airtag as someone ended up stealing it and left with half a cover. Lucky my dog wasn’t lost as I would never have found her. do not buy this case if you want to keep your belongings safe, it unscrews and the airtag falls out. If i could give it zero stars i would

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Case unscrewed during use It unscrewed while in my pocket and dropped my AirTag. It did not do its job of protecting my device and, while pretty, was utterly useless

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not working so well Just found three day old otter box air tag holder on living room floor. Luckily it was the side with the air tag. This had been on dog collar. Other 1/2 still missing. Not a good feeling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I was given an airtag and Otter Rugged case at Christmas. Less than 4 weeks later it has come open twice and the airtag fallen out. Once at home where it was found where my car had been parked and again but it was still in my pocket. I can't work out how to tighten the case to keep it in. This is in UK - the UK site does not have anywhere for reviews. Apple store were not interested as it is not an Apple product although bought there. I cannot trust it and have stopped using it. It is NOT cheap so this should not happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps coming apart My otterbox AirTag case that is attached to my dog's collar has come apart 3 times. At first I thought it was me not closing it enough, but found that wasn't the case when it kept happening. Then I put ugly electrical tape on it to hold it together, but want confident in that solution, so ended up buying a different AirTag holder. A lot of money for something that doesn't do its job. Usually I like otterbox products (I have abd have had a few otterbox iPhone cases over the years), so was particularly disappointed with this AirTag case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Believe the reviews about this opening Day one: Inserted AirTag into my OtterBox "Rugged" case. Tightened the face firmly after reading the reviews. Attached it to my dog's collar. Day two, part A: "Honey, I just found these lying on the floor of basement." It was the screw on cover for the Rugged case and my dog's AirTag. Day two, part B: Inserted AirTag into the OtterBox "Sleek" case that I bought just in case the Rugged failed to perform. Three weeks later: AirTag is still snug its Sleek case and hanging around my dog's neck. The Rugged case is currently holding an AirTag in the pocket of my backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can’t open this thing again I got this and put it on my AirTag and when I wanted to take it back out again I can’t get this stupid case off my AirTag. It’s been months of trying and destroying this case in every way we can thing and it will not come off my AirTag. Absolutely hate this thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive, but adorable! I purchased these for future travel, so haven't used them yet. They are nice with a silicone feel. I love the look and colors, which was the reason I chose them. They have a really nice carabiner type hanging clasp. I like that the backs are open because I had the air tags personalized (free when purchased through Apple). I deducted one star because the Otterbox holders are significantly more expensive than many others, but they are adorable, and life is too short to buy ugly items!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No a fan I love everything OtterBox. My whole family has OtterBox and life proof cases. But these things I’m not a fan of. I’ve had mine for a little over a year. It would always unscrew and open, I was constantly checking it so the AirTag wouldn’t fall out. Out of nowhere it just stopped opening. So I was happy………until I tried opening it again . It’s stuck. I’m sure it’s nothing a knife can’t handle but now ima mess it up :( maybe the sleek pop in ones would probably be better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge Disappointment, So Much So That I Threw It Ou I purchased this particular key ring because I trust the brand OtterBox, but based on how lousy this one item is I don't think I'll ever buy another OtterBox product ever again. I've had it a couple of weeks and the case has unscrewed itself over 5 times and I've found myself scrambling to pick up the pieces and my air tag from the ground, from the bottom of my bag, from inside my pocket... Finally just threw it out because it's not worth the risk of losing the AirTag. Total garbage. Not sure how anyone can give this a positive review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn’t do its job The case should lock the AirTag into it. It does not. My AirTag falls out of the case every day. The only reason I even still have the AirTag is because it’s attached to my keys, which I always put in my bag (the AirTag is meant to cover for the times I forget or if the keys fall out of my bag). I trusted OtterBox because of my positive experience with its protective cases for iPhones and iPads. It seems I shouldn’t have extended my faith that far. Looking for a replacement AirTag case made by some other company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lost Airtag in a highway disappointing, unfortunate. I used the xxx for my motorcycle keys and in a short time I lost my new airtag that is now broken on a highway trampled by vehicles and I was left with half of a useless key ring apparently the sealing is imperfect and fragile to vibration

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't bother Like many others, the retaining ring came unscrewed and the AirTag fell out. Luckily, I found the ring and the tag. When it kept unscrewing, I screwed it on as tight as I could. More than a year later, need to change the battery. Retaining ring won't budge, not even with pliers. Otterbox is sending me a replacement, but I'm wary of using it. Not up to the quality of other Otterbox products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst OtterBox product I’ve ever owned OtterBox is typically known for good products in my experience, but this product is an extreme exception. I’ve only had the case for less than three hours and the screw is already coming done twice. Don’t waste your money I would not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't stayed screwed in I put it on my dog in advance of a road trip. Stopped at a rest stop and hit the road again and received a notice that I had left my "dog" behind. Aka the airtag had already unscrewed from the container within two days of us having it. Fortunately it was only a 15 min drive back to the rest stop to secure the airtag. I immediately submitted a return request and bought cheaper silicone ones off of Amazon that have worked much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE! DO NOT BUY! TERRIBLE! Put this on our pup to take him to the mountains. Came loose within 15 minutes. Found the airtag and the other side of the case, reattached and tightened as tight as we could. Fell apart again from dog shaking his neck. We love Otterbox products, but DO NOT BUY THIS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worse should have read the reviews before purchasing this, but. never had any issues with any other otterbox products, but I had same issue all the bad reviews say, the screw on cover, does not stay closed, first time use, on hike, cover came unscrewed and I lost my AirTag, so then I went online to do warranty replacement and the AirTag cover/case is not on product list, so then I tried chat, and it was unavailable, and then I called, placed on hold for 30 min, so hung up, but since everyone else complained about the screw on lid does not stay closed, it sounds like it is manufacture defect and needs to be changed to maybe a snap together or something else
