Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mindframe Prime Headset is glitchy From first use (on a very capable computer) this headset performed poorly with conatstant and pronounced breaks/interruptions in the audio whether playing a game, listening to music or online audio. I have used many different speakers and headsets with the same computer and never experienced an issue. I would expect better from an HP product especially a headset in this price range; maybe that is why it was on sale...no one should sell a product that simply doesn't work!

It’s a good weight with supports built in. The sound is amazing and it’s a very comfortable headset that I can wear for hours at a time. This is amongst the best headsets I’ve purchased, and I’m happy to be using it. This is a great purchase for your money!

He said he likes the size of the earphone it covers the ear and they are very comfortable. He also said the sound is amazing and like the fact that you can change the color that flashes on the side of the headset and the option to turn on the noise canceling is a big plus

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Invest in a good headset please guys... I have always used cheap headsets from 5 below or amazon and I have been missing out. Having the band that stretches to match your head is a great design. On my old headphones, my ears are pressed by the sides of the headphones and after an hour or two, my ears would be sore. I have not had that problem on these headphones. I can wear these for long periods of time without any pain/fatigue. The microphone has been good WHEN IT WORKS. I have had issues using it on Discord, but I'm unsure if the problem is that Discord is not the best program let's be honest. I got this headset for around 30 dollars because it was on sale. I'm not sure I would pay $140 dollars for this headset, but at the price I got it, it is such a steal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Going backwards The previous cup was better. I could use my VR headset with it, the new size of cup doesn't work well with my VR. But that's the minor issue. The serious issues come into play with how small the cup is inside. It was made to match the size of the ear. This leaves very little airflow, and with no airflow there is no means to cool the air around your ear, this undermines the whole purpose of having an a cooled ear cup. It also seems to not cool as much as the old model did. So you have I bigger, more smothering, and it cools less... I think I you can see everything wrong here.

At first I bought the Omen Blast Headset through HP directly, and I was happy with that headset for what it was. I jumped at the opportunity to get the Mindframe when I found it, and my experience with it so far has led me to write this review. The difference in sound quality between the Blast and the Mindframe is incredibly noticeable. While the Omen Blast Headset does not sound bad by any means, it sounds tinny compared to the Mindframe. The Mindframe has a fullness of sound that is hard to ignore when put in direct comparison with the Blast and other headsets I own for that matter. There are a number of features that one can access via the Windows sound settings that add more depth to the sound. It's a shame that this is hardly spoken about in any reviews or product materials, but there are around 6 advanced settings that one can play with to make the sound better through the Windows sound settings. Omen Audio Clarity, Dynamic Bass, etc. All great features that are virtually unknown. The equalizer settings that are included with the Omen Gaming Hub are also great. The Omen Gaming Hub works seamlessly with the headset and it really serves to complete the package as opposed to being some added feature. With the gaming hub you can control the LED lights, the cooling levels for the earpads, as well as equalizer settings. The cooling feature is way more than just a gimmick. It is a superfluous, luxurious, and borderline ridiculous feature, but it works so incredibly well. It's hard to explain the feeling you get when using this headset. The cooling feature is sort of like having tiny little air conditioning units that gently cool your ears while playing. It's a feature that you don't need, but becomes indispensable once you have access to it. In essence, this headset sort of ruins other headsets. The sound is a significant step above good, and the cooling feature just ends up being that deciding factor when you're reaching for a headset. So when you're faced between using a headset with great sound but has not cooling feature, you'll likely end up defaulting for the Mindframe simply because it has that extra comfort feature. Honestly, I cannot recommend this product enough. If you want a great sounding headset with an incredibly comfortable and unique feature, then you really don't have many other options.

I was disappointed by the plug and play aspect of the device. With that said the performance is subpar and I would rather stick with my wireless PS5 headset. Normally, I would send it back but HP has a way of making that process a headache.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from avoid mesh fabric on ear cups came undone a little over a year and HP support will not do anything since I am over the 6 month to 1 year period. They are cheaply glued on to a inner ring and there is no way to remove them or clean the product. Absolutely do not pay $200 for these as they are not a premium product and regularly go on sale for $50 for a reason, buy elsewhere and avoid HP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major faults in this headset The headset's microphone doesn't work on programs like zoom meetings. I've tried everything to get the headset to work for zoom to no success. The program freezes when using my headset and fails to detect the microphone. The headset also prevents my computer from restarting or shutting down. As soon as you unplug the headset your computer will continue shutting down or restarting. Avoid this headset. It's not worth the heavily discounted price. After this terrible experience, I am going to avoid all headsets in this same product line.

They are more comfortable and the mic is comparable but the audio quality is significantly worse. The directional audio doesn't work well and the sounds is muddier and more fuzzy sounding. I wasted many hours trying to get it to work, and finally had to reset my computer before finally getting my new HP computer to work properly. Resetting my computer required me to reinstall my programs, wasting additional time. HP sold me a great machine, but the Laplink product should not be sold with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bang for your buck. Good headset overall. I didn't know it was USB. Would of given it a 3.5m headphones jack. The concept overall is very good. If you have just a PC. This headset is perfect then. However if you have multiple console like a xbox, it will not work. Will work on Switch, PS4 and PS5. The cooling system actually works and that's where most of the weight is. Material is cheap but the quality is where the ear cuffs are out. Very comfortable overall. Got it for 35 dollars. Not worth the 150 though.

Only thing I didn't care for was that it was only a USB-A connection, not a normal audio jack so it cannot be plugged into an Xbox controller or normal audio port.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little more size range would go a long way. The HP OMEN Mindframe Prime Headset is supremely comfortable on the ears. The cooling allows for the ideal temperature. The sound quality is top natch. I have a slightly longer head than most people so stuffing the headset on is a little tight overhead, this also causes the ear cups to kind of pull upwards. Slightly discomfort there, otherwise wonderful.

The audio, for me, is fine out of the box and I was looking forward to the sound once I could get the program for it on my new desktop. However, after having used these headphones for several hours, I am either giving them away or sending them back. The biggest flaw of these headphones is the adjustment strap. Regardless of where I place them on my head or if I pad them to create a gap between the strap and connecting band, after an hour, I'm in pain. It feels like my ears are being pulled off and my head has been crushed in a vice. This lasts all day after usage and well into the next two days after.

For the price they sell it, the quality of sound is ok but not amazing at all. Moreover the frostcap doesn't always work. Finaly the foam to be comfy is goos but it's just fixed on a part of the headset, not glued or anything. Conclusion ? After a bit of use (less than a year), the foam start fallinf of the headset and i had to glued it myself. I'm a bit disapointed in omen, a compagny that i was happy with for the most part. I expected to have good quality as well on my headset but i guess i'll just start buying at other compagny that have more reliable stuff

It started having problems within one month, when you unmute the mic and mute it so much static and even people on other end can hear static. Got it replaced thru best buy in October 2019. Same issue within a month,for 200 I'd rather roll a dice on number 7 than buy this. Not even worth 10 cheap as heck.

The FrostCap tech is real. However, simlar to ANDY78... they worked fantastic for for about six months, then i started to experience a problem with the microphone buzzing with a static. I am awaiting a replacement set and have had to revert back to a plantronics headset.

The inside gets cold, but my ears have to physically touch the inside to actually feel any cooling, and at the point it feels like having an ice cube resting on them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOUND ISSUE After using the HP Omen Mindframe headset for quite a while; I've been having audio issues when I play games. Some games the audio gets distorted or lag when I'm in a match. Some games I just have to be on the menu screen for it to get distorted. But that sometimes happens. The most common issue I have is every time I tab out of a game to watch a youtube video or something; after 20 seconds or so the audio for everything distorts or lags. By everything I mean everything. Like discord, youtube, and anything else that is playing audio. But when I tab back into the game; the audio goes back to normal. I'm pretty sure this issue has to do with the headset itself because I've tried multiple solutions to try to fix my audio and I've been going through the audio settings. Plus, I've never had this problem with any other past headsets. By the way, I've only encountered this problem when I have a game open. I haven't had this problem when I just have youtube open or discord.

But they don’t work with At least two standard online Instruction/meeting tools. They conflict with the programs and don’t let them open or they open but you fail to connect. I have tried to update the driver but they are the latest. Tried to get the firm ware update but it won’t work. Need to sit online with Hp tech support to debug these but don’t have the time. I tried to see if others had problems but nothing similar is reported. My cheap head set works fine with the programs so I had to fall back to it when I use the programs. Great for gaming not for work from home.

I was disappointed it doesn't have a standard audio cord for controllers. Bought it as a gift for a friend with a xbox and a laptop so he had something to use for both that worked great! He bought an adapter, it still didn't work with xbox :/

I didn’t check ahead of time. I did try using them on a zoom meeting and for some reason with the noise cancellation on I could not be heard. Once I turned off the noise cancellation they worked fine. The cooling does provide an interesting sensation. Where the padding rests on my head is warm while the inside air around my ear feels cool. I like them.

Terrible Microphone HP sent me my pair of these with a replacement to the faulty gaming pc that I was sent, and they worked amazingly for about six months, and I still love their sound quality and cooling. The problem is that the microphone begins to buzz with a static screech, and this is on all 10 devices I've tried them on.
