Great little powerhouse
After almost a month of using this for gaming, I am quite pleased. The construction is not the most impressive in materials or appearance, but it is quality and just fine. It has a nice selection of ports. The display and performance are excellent. I can recommend this, just depends on the price. I bought it on sale, would not pay $2500 for it, but that is me.

Zero customer support. AI is cringy, drops calls and hangs up on you. Sabir was the first human on "chat" , but can't type very well haha. They would help with a very simple redeem code, but he's on the Hardware team (LOL) A human can't even answer the phone but I am to believe they have a team for hardware online.
Never HP again. My experienced friends and the reviews and professionals all warned me. HP treated me well a decade ago, now they are the future, and the future my friend, is not for you or me.

Great laptop for an excellent price during the July 4th sale. Unfortunately, the packaging for the laptop box was bad. Did not laptop box in another box for shipping, just shipping label slapped onto the laptop box for shipping. FedEx left my box out in the sun and outside the gate for the world to see. Possibility of getting it stolen but I was able to get to it in time.

Great laptop.. but disappointing build quality
The laptop hits a sweet spot checking all the boxes I care about (32GB ram, great screen, dual GPUs, etc.), and 1 month in I'm pretty happy with its gaming capability. However, at this price point I expect a much better build quality, at least it should look perfect when brand new... unfortunately it's not. First powering on as the screen lights up in pure black, it's obvious to see the screen is lighting up more on certain edge spots due to the strain and bending from the casing (remember the effect as you poke on or bend an LCD). No impact on normal use, but I'm just not happy for a $1k+ laptop to have noticeable defects like that.

I've had this laptop since December and I absolutely love it. It is the ap00097 and I got a great deal on it for black Friday. This thing runs so smooth, fortnite at 200 fps+ it just handles everything so well, the co pilot AI is a nice feature it helps answer any question I have. This laptop is a well made gaming laptop and can handle anything you throw at it. I recommend

Kind of disappointing for an HP
The keyboard is often less responsive than it should be. It's also pretty small. The sound is terrible. It does run the games I want to play, and the storage is great.

Great laptop so far!
The omen 16 is a pretty good laptop! I haven’t had any issues so far, the screen is fantastic and I haven’t had any issues running some larger games on it, and I’m still able to do some other back ground tasks while the games are running. I will say the laptop is a bit larger from what I first thought from the pictures but that is expected from a gaming laptop

buyer's remorse in a big way
so far I think it's broken and needs to be serviced. It blows very hot air. Hotter and longer and louder than any other laptop I've ever owned. Sometimes the fan is whirring away for no discernable reason whatsoever. I have been trying to process photos using PS and I think there is a damaged graphics card. The system freezes sometimes completely where the only option is to hard boot. Sometimes, I just get an error trying to open a photo where the error says something about a bad or incompatible graphics card. My camera is crap. Looks like I'm in low light even when I'm in a bright room with the light in front of me.

I am on my second Omen laptop and have to return this one tomorrorw for the third one that I hope works. to be honest I dont want a third omen I am going to try another brand and hope that they work

Good computer for my needs.
Great speed. The screen is much clearer and easier to read from than my 7 year old computer. I have the highest ROM installed which helps the speed. The keyboard took some time to get used to but it is fine. There are times I miss having a touchscreen but I can live without it.

WIFI hardware stinks
The WIFI is BAD - drops frequently on my not-ancient (but pre-WIFI-6) Google mesh WiFi. A few hours invested in researching and tweaking settings and updates helped a bit and now it gets 2/3 the speed of WIFI on my phone.

Laptop was dead within a week
I bought this laptop for my son for Christmas. within 7 days it powered itself off and would not turn back on. I worked with HP support and no ideas they had were sucessfull. Had to send the laptop back in for repair.. what a great gift..... back to Asus for us.

It’s fine and does what it needs.
I primarily use a Mac, so the first thing I noticed was the screen quality being less than my basic MacBook. The other thing I have noticed is that it is incredibly slow and doesn’t respond quickly.

This Omen laptop meets or exceeds my expectations in every category. I am an avid World of Warcraft player, and this laptop regularly allows me to achieve a 133 frames per second graphics rate in the game, along with 0 hesitation or lag while playing. In addition, this capability allows me to utilize my Adobe software with little to no hesitation while rendering files. Worth every dollar.

Excellent Gaming Laptop – Powerful, Fast and Worth It
I’ve been really happy with my HP OMEN 16. The performance has been excellent for gaming and everyday use, and everything feels fast and smooth. Games run great, the display looks good, and I really like the overall design and build quality. The 32GB of RAM and RTX 5070 give me plenty of performance for gaming, multitasking and other demanding tasks. So far, it has handled everything I’ve thrown at it without a problem. If you’re looking for a powerful gaming laptop that can also be used as a great everyday computer, I would definitely recommend the OMEN 16. Very happy with my purchase and easily 5 stars from me! ?????

Solid Laptop, Frustrating FedEx & SSD Surprise
The laptop itself works great, but the delivery process through FedEx was frustrating. The tracking was inaccurate, the package was delayed by three days right near the final delivery, which caused a lot of inconvenience.
Additionally, the official product specifications lacked any mention that the second M.2 SSD slot uses a non-standard physical size (2230 instead of standard 2280), making it unnecessarily difficult to find a compatible upgrade. Good hardware overall, but poor logistics and missing technical details.
