Nortel Networks BayStack Advanced Remote Node (ARN) router offers the most extensive set of branch office functionality available today. Its modular design provides the capability to build highly flexible networks. The ARN offers great performance and flexible field-upgradeable LAN and WAN options for data and voice communication. The ARN offers flexible connectivity with a choice of LAN and WAN configurations. Each model has two WAN adapter module slots and an expansion module that provides an array of options for higher density LAN, WAN, or legacy requirements. The WAN modules support serial, ISDN BRI, V.34 modem, and CSU/DSU selections. ARN expansion modules support multiservice voice/data applications, as well as higher density serial connections.
