Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does an adequate job. Overall I’m satisfied. Make sure that you read the directions in order to get yourself setup as quickly as possible. I find it an interesting concept that I wasn’t previously aware of, using your home electrical system as a way to connect to the internet via Ethernet cables. Overall I am satisfied with the results that this product as given me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful but flawed This was the best solution to my problem of WiFi dead spots in a remote area of my house. I am able to use a hardwired printer now in a remote work room. The only problem is the design of the unit. While it does at least allow something to be plugged into it, the case blocks the upper outlet if it is plugged into the lower outlet. Just a little bit of thought into the design would have prevented this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product These Powerline Wall Pluggable bridges are awesome! They allow you to outfit your house with a more reliable internet source. WiFi can be an issue at times. I've found that the direct feed is always the best with little loss of data transfer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and Stable I purchased the PLP1200 set and it works like it should. I have a dead spot in the house as the wireless does not penetrate well through a cinderblock wall. I have a smart TV that would get fluctuating reception. Installing the PLP1200 fixed this situation entirely. The primary send is plugged into the router and the receiver goes to the TV. Internet access is perfect. No lulls, no buffering issues. I originally plugged the receiver into a power/surge strip (yes a no-no), but I did want to see if I could tell the difference. Through the strip I could only get just over 8mb (at max). Plugging directly into the wall receptacle gave me over 30mb consistently. I am very pleased with this set and recommend it for those areas where wireless is giving you problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Wireless Kit I am so glad that I spent a little more and got this kit. The speed is phenomenal, setup was a breeze, and network information tools make it a well rounded package. They lok great too. Can't wait to increase the mesh size by adding the outdoor add-on. Then I will be over the top pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NETGEAR Powerline 1200 solved my problem I have used this for over a year to improve internet connection in my office on the 3rd floor with my router in the basement...the set up directions worked like a charm and I haven't had any problems. The set up instructions are clear and easy to follow. This unit is supposed to be connected to outlets in the same circuit, and I don't think this is made clear in the on-line product info unless you are looking for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works! My wifi in the downstairs kitchen gave a weak signal to my upstairs office. This provides a direct connection without running cables. Perfect solution. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible customer support, defective unit One of the powerline adapters has no power. Tried plugging to a different outlet with no luck. Netgear website is a joke. Took me 10 minutes of navigating just to find the NON-toll free number. And after being on hold for over half an hour and transferred multiple times, I was told to hold the reset button and unplug and plug unit in 7 times. Since this adapter is 3 prong, it is extremely difficult to do that. Why don't they put the reset button on top of the unit instead of the bottom? And it took me another 5 minutes just to find this review page. If I had an option, I would give 0 stars. NOT recommended. Go for a D-Link instead

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PLP1200 I didn't know that you could use your home's electrical system as an internet cable. No more dealing with weak wifi or expensive internet cables! This item is very helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great so far Have used it for a week or two, has worked great so far. Before getting it, had some problems with lag/crashing on Zoom and another application, but this PLP1200S fixed it, now I can use the applications fine in my room, with my router which is installed in the basement : One thing I would say is the ethernet cables are kinda short, luckily had another cable to allow me to use it at farther distances from outlets

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor Performance I wanted to enhance the wifi range and speed in the basement, but this unit provides only 10% of the speed that I normally got without the unit. When I spoke with the tech support person, he mentioned that the 1,200 Mbps is for combined download and upload and is shared among the number of devices connected. So, not worth it and I returned the product back to the Store the next day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Draws all bandwidth I bought this to help in a upstairs bedroom. After installation I noticed that the other wireless and connected devices could not get internet. Unplugged this device all the other devices started to work better and at speed. Not sure if I would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not reliable I expected this to be a good buy. But after somewhat over a year it started to fail intermittently, and getting very hot. This non-functional state could only be corrected by detaching it from the electrical outlet, and from the cable to the computer ... and then after waiting some minutes plugging it in again. It is easy to understand that only having say half an hour of working connection at a time, it was too frustrating to keep. I tried out another vendor (a cheap TPLink, which has worked so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from constant reset i have to keep unplugging it from the outlet and plugging it back in to reset it. this is no problem if u have a laptop plugged into it, but i have a whole PC plugged into it which means i have to constantly shut down my computer to fix it. when it works it is fast and good service, but that usually lasts an hour or two before having to wither turn my phone into a hotspot to use or shut down my entire computer just to get a reliable internet connection

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works as described device works well at a restricted level. does not work in a multi breaker box environment. the idea of a house with a single circuit seems a little idealistic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 39 Mbps The house is 6 years old. I got a green indicator light stating over 80 packets on their internal test. The other two indicators were green as well, no piggyback circuit panel. Plugged in and connected a LAN cable (Supplied) directly to the modem and the other directly to the PC. Ran a speed test. I got 39 Mbps. Straight 150' LAN cable >80 Mbps WiFi over 100 Mbps Tech support was trying to get me to buy-in that the electrical cables were too old. I repeated that the house was only 6 years old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brief Review of Netgear PLP1200 I purchased a set of PL1200 a couple of years ago and the performance has been terrific. Based on that I purchased another set of PLP1200 to extend my ethernet coverage and they all synced up as expected and are performing perfectly. Netgear's tech support is excellent as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great Purchased this set based on the previous reviews and I’m completely satisfied with the result. The NETGEAR Powerline was easy to setup and connected easily to my system. Noticed an immediate improvement in my signal strength, especially when streaming video.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gives a reliable, somewhat fast connection Was having issues with wi-fi as speed was anywhere from 150 mbps down to kbps and also losing connection at times. Got the Powerline 1200 and it was easy to install, up and running within minutes. Connection is pretty constant at about 45-55 mbps, which is good enough for me. Get the plug pass-thru as this unit will probably cover most of your wall plug. You won't be able to plug in a 3-prong plug in the other socket,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Netgear PLP1200 review Purchased the Netgear PLP1200 one week ago and it worked as advertised. It was easy to install and I said goodbye to Wi-Fi streaming issues. I plan to buy additional Netgear powerline adapters for my other Ethernet-capable devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does it work? Yes it does, my wireless router is upstairs and I always had wifi issues in certain parts of my house. I installed the powerline adapters and it is like I plugged my device directly into the router upstairs. Plus the setup is quite simple. Highly recommend if you have wireless issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PLP 1200 works surprisingly well! I had some doubts. Out in my detached garage, through a sub- panel and a main- panel, it provides reliable 150 mbps to my gigabit router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PowerliineAV1200 A great product bought to replace a model 200 designed in 2001. In our apartment some of the wiring is copper (as it should be) and some is the very old aluminum? wiring which degrades performance, but I can still watch HBO over WIFI at hours of peak demand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dangerous Adapter started making loud static noises whilst plugged into the outlet about 8 months after purchase. After pulling from the wall to look at it the back of the adapter along one of the prongs was burnt and melted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bit disappointing It might be just my use case, but it doesn't help as much as I'd hoped. I bought these because sometimes I get disconnected while working from home at my boyfriend's place. I did speed tests with these as wired connections and they're generally only half the speed of the Wi-Fi. That might change when there's heavy demand or at other places in the basement here, but so far, I'm disappointed.
