Horrible Customer Service
I bought this product less than a week ago, the directions for install was mediocre at best, but it comes with a free 90 day technical support, which is the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. Over 5 phone calls over 12 hours, I was put on hold for over 45 minutes each call, then when someone got on the call, they hung up. Wasted. On 1 call, I was transferred to 5 different extensions who also could not help with this product. If you have a different choice, DO NOT purchase this product.

not designed for Australiam GPOs
technically it worked great, but the PL adaptor is too wide for Australian double GPOs. I only have a double GPO where my modem is and the manual says not to use a powerboard but due to the wide of the PL1000 when its plugged in I can't fit even extension cord plugs into the spare side of the double GPO so it makes it impossible to use!

Outstanding product
I bought 4 of the model 500 of these about 5 years ago. With the move to wireless, I am only using 2 now, and one finally failed. Plugged one of the other two in, and immediately resumed operation. The speed is excellent. I haven't measured it, but it seems about the same as using a 100 ft cat 5 cable. (but without the cable!. Functionality, ease of use, durability - all excellent. And I imagine the new models are even better.

Device robustness
My pair of PL1000 has been working perfectly with no need of resetting since I installed it like 6 years ago. I added a PL1200 wifi device as well and that too hasn't given me any trouble

We bought this because I needed a landline source from the basement, but the only source was a floor above. This works great and the speed is really good. I would like to connect my smartphone to it, but there is a password for the network that is unknown.

Bad speed
I get only 4MB/S when i download games files 50GB and the Pick A Plug LED is red when it`s Connected to my PC. The powerline 1000 that is connected to my router Pick A Plug LED is green.
i have tried to reset the Powerline 1000, same problem

Works great one warning
This is a plug and play device which is great. What isn't stated anywhere I found was it creates a second wi-fi network your device connects to. It does not seamlessly extend your existing wi-fi network but creates a second one. You have to switch between the two as you move around the house or area.
