When moving throughout the house, the ISPs equipment would not hand off properly and I would need to turn my wifi off and rely on cellular data. Orbi fixed all of that. The connection is rock solid and hand offs between satellites work well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding After using the Google Mesh for the last 3 years, and getting worse and worse coverage, it was time for a change. I did my homework and landed on the Orbi. Yes it is more expensive, but you get what you pay for. The coverage for my 3 piece system is outstanding for my 2 story home. No lag, no buffering. We have tons of wifi devices that need to stay connected and after a month of usage, nothing has fallen off yet. I haven't had to reboot it daily or troubleshoot daily either. Being able to label and identify every device on your network is great also, I can pause devices when I want or block them all together if I don't recognize them. I'm getting my full download speed as well.

This was quickly remedied with our new NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System. The setup was quick and very easy. Coverage has been amazing with just the central unit hub and one satellite. The entire house is covered. WiFi has been consistent and strong with this Orbi hub. The design of the units are sleek and non obtrusive in our home decor. We are looking forward to many years of service from our purchase as this was one of the deciding factors for this brand and unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It woul dbe 5 stars, but... I bought this setup a couple of weeks ago because of the Ethernet ports on the satellite and dedicated backhaul between Satellite and Router. I really only have 2 complaints with the product and performance... 1. Lack of Parental Controls. I have kids and the Mesh setup means they get Access at ALL times, and to ANY site. If you want to be able to limit specific devices on bandwidth or time or site, like other Netgear products, you will be unhappy. 2. No ability to force a device to a closer connection. In most cases, the mesh works very well and everything is fast. That being said, I have a couple of devices (my work computer is the biggest headache that insist they need to connect to the farthest unit possible at 5Ghz speeds, even if the devices are stationary. If I could force my work laptop to lock into the router, since it is closest, I would be a happy camper...but instead I am being forced to buy another $300 satellite to get the ethernet connection to keep a stable connection...which is just stupid. Other than those 2 "issues", I am extremely happy with the product. The Builder for our new house decided that the coax for internet needed to come into the house in the VERY center, inside a closet and no other places would have coax connections. Because of this, the dedicated ethernet ports on the Satellite meant that I could put the router next to the modem in the closet and connect a switch to the satellite upstairs in the game room. The dedicated 5Ghz-2 connection means that the connection stability is awesome, and very fast for every device in the game room....which is MUCH better than I ave experienced with range extenders and other APs.

I am only trying to get coverage for my 1600 square foot house (main router + 1 satellite...this combination still provides a dead spot approximately 30' from the main router. I have the other satellites set up in my back yard (my entire property is only 12000 square feet - .28 acre) in attempt to provide internet to 3x tiny houses. The closest satellite is connected via ethernet as is the farthest. The remaining satellite is approximately 40' from each of the two satellites that are wired in (it's in a window), but struggles to connect to either of the satellites.

We also added a Netgear Ethernet switch because there’s only two now on the satellite. One system was a gift and the other was for myself. I love the Netgear Orbi mesh system. It’s worth it!!

My coworker, Vitaliy, told me about Orbi. I bought one. The setup was easy. After getting setup, I was able to join the garage door opener with a strong signal from Orbi. All other devices are working well, too.

I live in a 2000 sqft house, and I have excellent coverage throughout. Between everyone's phones, computers, TVs, and all the various smart appliances, I typically have 20 devices connected at the same time and the system handles all the traffic with ease. Absolutely no complaints so far. Setup was simple enough through the Orbi app. With the router and two satellites I am able to get great coverage throughout the house and backyard.

We only have 11 devices connected to the system but it has made an incredible difference. We are now seeing 573 Mbps downloads and 22 Mbps uploads. Would highly recommend trying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great as a routing device. Terrible as an AP device The Orbi 750 was purchased for my home as a mesh network using 3 nodes. If I setup the device in router mode it worked PERFECT! Very fast and easy to setup. Strange the IOS client does not configure everything. Have to use web interface. The issue is I needed it in AP mode. I purchased a Firewalla Purple to be placed between a cable modem and Orbi device. When the Orbi is placed in in AP mode, the device resets the WIFI interface every 10 seconds. This causes all devices include satellites to lose their connections. I have worked with Netgear support since September and it still does not work. Over the past two weeks I have asked for a refund since it has never worked correctly. They keep saying they will get back with me but never a call back. Hopefully one day. I would not recommend.

We’ve traditionally had very poor WiFi in the basement, even with multiple range extenders. With the Orbi router on the top floor, and two satellites on the first floor at opposite ends of our L-shaped house, the basement now has a full-signal, full-speed connectivity to all 10 WiFi devices placed there. Our home is about 4700 sq ft. Very impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Upgrade! Bought my ORBI RBS-753S second hand. Factory reset was easy. Set up was not very difficult. I was able to transfer my old network name and password to the ORBI system. Most all of my devices hooked right up, no password changes needed. Took my dog for a walk and checked my WIFI connection to my phone, WIFI was still connected four houses away, around the block and across the street.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Connection is unstable As much as I want to like the product, I can’t say I’m as happy with it, inasmuch as I want to. The primary reason is that the connection is not stable. Although I have connected all of the 5 satellites to the main router in a daisy chain connection style, the access point devices are keep jumping around with the connections from one satellite to another. For example if the ring camera is closest to the satellite that is closest to the particular satellite, it won’t specifically connect to the satellite that is located within a few feet from the WiFi camera. But it would connect to the satellite that is on the other end of the house. Even though I would stand right next to the satellite and the camera and reconnect the camera to the WiFi in attempt to get the camera reconnected to the satellite that is closest to the WiFi, still it changes to the satellite that supposedly already has been saved. So instead of trying to search for the best signal strength within the network, it just connects to the satellite that has already been connected within the ring’s network. Even if I reset the camera, it still connects to the satellite that is on the other end of the network. Daisy chain connection gets better signal strength throughout the house than connecting the satellites to the router wirelessly. That way each of the satellite is acting as a router, instead of as a WiFi signal extender. My phone and iPad Pro tend to disconnect from the WiFi whenever I’m moving from one location to another within the house. It doesn’t stay connected, or switch automatically between the satellites while I’m moving away from the satellite that was connected to and getting closer to another satellite. I have to reestablish the connection again. Sometimes it maintains the connection but most of the time it loses the connection. And they are not cheap. I bought 2 sets, and each set came with 1 router and 2 satellites. So I ended up using one router and 4 satellites, plus bought one additional satellite and total of 5 satellites and one router. To ensure that every corner of the house is covered. One should not be fooled by the product advertisement, saying that each satellite covers up to 2400 sqft. For a house like ours 2400 sqft 1 router with 2 satellites is not sufficient to cover every corner. With 1 router and 5 satellites yes it gives a very good coverage. But you have to interconnect them all with Ethernet cable, so that way every satellite will be acting as a router. For 5G speed the compatible device supporting the 5GHZ supposed to be very close to the router or hard wired satellite in order the 5GHZ signal strength to be effective and reliably maintained. Otherwise it will automatically switch to the 2.4 ghz band if it’s farther than 5 feet away from the router. 5GHZ vs. 2.4GHZ. 5GHZ maybe compared to the pixel density of the image. If you increase the image size then the pixel density will drop and it will look like blurry cubics. A similar method applies to the WiFi signal strength. The manufacturers took the 2.4GHZ signal and condensed it into 5GHZ signal strength. 2.4ghz band covers a longest range of all bands. The 5GHZ covers much shorter range but it provides more spectrum of signal strength, which translates into a faster speed as opposed to the 2.4ghz band. So therefore in order to get the sufficient signal strength on 5GHZ band, the 5GHZ compatible device that is connected to the router must be located within less than 5 feet away. Otherwise it will witch to 2.4ghz band if it cannot receive the adequate signal strength for 5GHZ band.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great once online The Orbi has been revolutionary since I installed it. I actually have wifi coverage with the speeds I expect throughout my home now. I would be hesitant to recommend this system to less technical inclined people such as older relatives since it was not an easy plug in and go. The app wasn’t completing the start up but the website was way more straightforward. It took about 1.5 hours to set up with several restarts required.

My orbi is running speed of over 500mbps in most room. Even my birds is happy because he gets to watch his TV with over 500mbps. I used to have google mesh wifi and it was a nightmare. No more intermittent drops with Orbi and super fast speed!

The internet comes into the basement which was the best place to put it, but that made for horrible reception on the second floor. Orbi to the rescue.

Called tech support and the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. The card in the product said call this number instead of returning to the store. After about 2 hours of trying to setup the satellite I called tech support. The lady wanted to know when I purchased the ORBI before she would talk to me. I told her and then she read off some disclaimer about 90 days of tech support. I explained my problem and she was able to help me but then proceeded to try to up sale me on extended warranty and extra services. I declined. My ORBI's are running well. I'm not sure what will happen when my 30 days of

Pros: -Good looking won’t be a eye sore in any room in your house - Had good reviews - Strong signal when it works Cons: - not the cheapest solution - Internet streams works with jitters, will stop for a few seconds to buffer(i assume), had to research and change some setting la to improve; this does not happen when connected with the old router - Installation wasn’t that easy since both router and satellite need it a firmware update. Router was easy, but satellite was a mission. - satellite loose connection with the router; they are located 30 ft away, clear line of vision; but a door in the way; when you close the door, signal become weak. Will give the system a few more days, I though I will be impressed by the easy installation and results…. still on the fence on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely happy with new system My alarm system and smart thermostat kept dropping. The cable guy would tell me to get a mesh system to solve the issue. After the last episode, I decided to follow their advice. I didn't know what to get so I spent quite a bit of time looking at different brands and reviews. The Orbi by Netgear was consistently given high marks. It wasn't something that I wanted to tackle on my own so I contacted a computer technician who came and installed it for me. It has been wonderful. My speeds and stability have never been better. No more droppage of alarm, tv or thermostat. The cost was a little higher than I would have liked but I wanted the issues to be solved and didn't want my speeds to be compromised. My biggest regret is not doing it sooner.

Over the past two months, it has repeatedly dropped signal. We've done all the troubleshooting, including having xfinity come out to check the line to the modem. Netgear won't help because we are beyond the 90d help warranty. Useless! We have the base plus two satellites, which should be more than enough for our 4bedroom home. We have problems with just one tv trying to stream. I would not invest in this product - it is clearly outdated and/or poorly made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not straightforward setup but works well once done I added an RBS750 satellite to a one satellite system and wanted to wire-backhaul both satellites (the first satellite already was). Impossible to just wire and add the 2nd. The 2nd satellite said it linked/sync'd but wouldn't change off its factory wifi name. I had to factory reset both satellites and the router, sync both sats wirelessly, then wire backhaul them. And, as usual, it took 4+ hours for the new sat to link and actually sync. I left them overnight, by morning they were good and I then wired the backhauls. The satellite website is next to worthless - gives no usable status nor options. How about at least a reboot and state of syncing? There are also bugs in the software somewhere - saying a device is hardwired when it is wireless. I will give Netgear, though, that it has made the 750 wired backhaul actually work via software updates.

Was a pain to get set up via the app which required repeating the steps 5-6 times as I kept getting errors. Once online I do generally get better signal in corners of my house. The specs say it will cover 5000 Sq ft. Not sure that’s playing out with my home set up. Will see over time if the Orbi 750 to 950 would be better. Many of the features require a subscription. These are nice to haves not have to haves.

While using the Eero system, I had multiple network drops every day and found the management app extremely basic. Since moving to an Orbi system I have not had network drops interrupting my work day and the interface is more user friendly more someone like me.

The first ended up being solved by customer service call. I was a missing instruction regarding logging into the router to setup an admin password. The second is a MOCA conflict with Xfinity X1 product. Took me 2 days and the replacement of a MOCA switch in the basement. I feel like both issues could have been addressed in the Setup Instructions. 1 Satelite more than delivers coverage to my old 2 story home with challenges. No more rental charges for Xfi router and 2 boxes.

I have gig speed and live in a old pre war 2 bedroom. The wifi router provided was not cutting it with dead zones in two rooms. I researched and found the Netgear Orbi model and shot my shot figuring all the new bells and whistles plus up to date wifi 6 had to make a difference. I have a hub and a satellite. Easy Install, no dead zones, great speed, and great monitoring and alerts all at my fingertips. My work from home zoom calls and IOT devices are tip top speed now. I would highly recommend Orbi the handoffs are seamless and have had a great experience. Going to recommend to others.

I read the reviews on Amazon and the next day went to Best Buy talked with Sales rep Alexis, yes. I bought the Orbi 6 Wi-Fi 3 towers. Brought it home opened the box, I was excited. Downloaded the Orbi app it almost connected it self. Then the task of adding all my iPhones, iPads and smart devices in my house. Many of them appeared to jump on the Wi-Fi. I was really pleased. My tv I had never seen the sharpest picture and all the Sonos speakers were connected along with Ring doorbell and my security system and cameras. I knew I had a lot of devices I was lucky that I had passwords written down. That night we sat down to watch the cliffhanger. It was great. The towers were larger than my old system but they have disappeared into the home decor and you don’t see them. The other benefit is that my internet speed was around 200 but now it comes into my house at a steady 560. This will really help in my office as I do training and audits on my web services internationally that had issues being consistent. Tomorrow I finish checking all my lights and garage doors. My Alexa’s I watched a quick utube and then they were synced. I’m really pleased and told my son of my upgrade and today he went and purchased a set of Orbis. So glad I did this purchase. Now the WiFi has about same strength in every room in the house. I was impressed with the satellite in the second floor, front bedroom. It boosted a very weak WiFi signal without any adjusting. We just plugged it in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still a great solution Bought this to replace my RBR50 set which suddenly died on me. Nice that I didn’t have to reconnect all of my wifi devices when upgrading. Setting up the new router was not 100% smooth but was not difficult. Found myself repeating the same steps for it to suddenly work and proceed to the next step. Even though this was an upgrade per specs, I noticed no performance gain compared to my 6 year old Orbi RBR50.

However, the mesh system doesn’t require you to change wifi it automatically connects to the one with a better range. I may have over done it with a 1,500 square foot home as this was advertised to be for 5,000. No drops and great for gaming. Should have bought it long ago!

Real-time speedtest at various location saw no drop in speed compared to what my ISP speed. I had tried Eero 6 and saw a 50% drop in wireless data speed. This is probably the best performing Wi-Fi mesh in the market. The only drawback is the initial setup. It was slow and hard to decipher the different stages by the blinking/pulsating LED. The APP UI definitely needs new design. Overall, happy with the purchase.

Came across Mercku system and thought I had found the remedy to dead spots in my home. Not until I decided to go with the Orbi did all my concerns for coverage/protection go out the window. I replaced an old Apple Extreme wifi Router and a wifi extender with a Netgear ORBI RBK753 system. The difference is phenomenal! We have no more dead spots anywhere and in some areas it increased our wifi speed more than twentyfold!!! Response is near instantaneous. On my Mac I get 470 Mbps and on my iPhone 333 Mbps (Mega bits per second).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic mesh system My 7-8 year old Asus AC router died so I picked up a single station Nighthawk. I have a ranch house, 2000ft up and 2000ft down. The Nighthawk failed miserably, dead spots everywhere. Immediately replaced it with this Orbi mesh system and this thing is amazing. I now get 300mbs in the entire house, even the garage. Finally fed up with paying monthly for the router that our cable provider gives, I pulled the trigger. Couldn't be happier. SUUPER easy to setup and provides fantastic coverage across our 11,000sqft property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tri-Band Mesh Orbi AX4200 WiFi 6 System Easy setup, with 2 satellite, works great, the range is great as well. Strong signal to the garage 30 yards away and to the granny cottage 40 yards away as well. Samsung S22 that's WIFI 6 capable work great as well.

Handles everything in my smart home just fine. Came from a competitor that starts with EE and couldn't be happier. The speeds are consitent and it blankets my entire home yard.

Throughput is the same as i'm paying for from my provider, covering 7500 sq ft with two sattelites and I find wifi 6 works better with my fire cube, no more restarting the cube with orbi 6. Very pleased, worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Flawlessly As Expected After building an outbuilding 200 ft from my home structure I wanted both buildings on the same mesh network. Simple solution was to connect a third Orbi satellite to the home router by a CAT-6 buried cable. Fast and reliable! Love my Orbi’s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Orbi Rocks! Nice mesh home Wifi. Works perfectly with my NetGear modem and was pretty easy to set up. Took a few tries, but once it was up and running, it's great. Got it to set up a safer experience for kids on the internet, and it doesn't disappoint. In conjunction with DNS filtering, it's wonderful. Lots of options and flexibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding coverage and speed NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System is better than advertised. The setup was very easy. My entire home (3200 Sq. feet) is covered from upstairs, downstairs, and backyard deck area with over 900 mbs of download speed consistently. I would recommend this product to everyone who is teleworking regularly, streaming constantly, and with a couple of gamers in the home... Orbi is a must have product. The Bitdefender network security is topnotch too.

For example, there used to be so many glitches and dead spots when I would play games online or even within the same house if my brother and I played on two different PS5 systems, there would be so much glitching.
