It’s doing the job other than connecting to the arlo security camera. If technical support could help me figure out the settings other than telling me to call arlo it would be a five star

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improved coverage We needed to replace an old hotspot and decided to go with the ORBI. Very happy with the LBR20 so far. Will be adding an external antenna in hopes to get an even better signal. Having the "anywhere access" will come in handy as well as the other features on the device. We live in a very rural area with no option for cable or dsl service. We have tried satellite internet as well as was never happy with the speeds. So this for us is the best option we have. Looking forward to many years of use.

I purchased the Netgear Orbi 4G LTE along with one compatible antenna and am amazed at the upload and download speeds. Before buying this I had to stand in specific locations to make phone calls and internet was barely above dial up. Now I am able to connect to the world quickly with ease.

After my Verizon was up i switched it for a T-Mobile SIM and it synched right up with no issues. Would purchase again in a second. If you are on the fence about this system, just go ahead and do it. You wont be sorry

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Netgear lets me down again! LBR20 is difficult to set up and does not work in certain instances. Netgear continues to have the worst customer service in the industry. During my attempts to solve set up issues I was transferred to 6 different techs and none of them spoke English well enough to understand what they were saying. I was even cut off a phone conversation due to me asking to please get me to someone I could understand. No more Netgear for me.........

I did have to replace my original unit but my current unit has been extremely easy to set up and synchronize with my devices and has been quite fast and reliable. Highly recommend for internet challenged areas of the country.

When it got to the point where my Internet connection was not much more than a whole, I discovered ORBI through my cell phone carrier. I had to replace the first unit when it quit working but it’s replacement has been extremely easy to set up, integrate with my devices And has provided fast reliable Internet/Wi-Fi.

Was able to provide wifi to our entire family allowing my wife to work, text, e-mail, check facebook, etc. My son was able to play fortnite and minecraft, and I was able to stream TV and Movies. Perfect for our mobile adventures and much better than truing to use our cell phones as a hotspot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the Money I replaced an ATT hotspot with Orbi. The difference was astounding. I added two external antennas and doubled the signal strength from the ATT tower that is over 4 miles away. DL speeds up to 35meg and 9meg UL. With 5ghz and 2.4ghz, I can stream to my smart TV using 5ghz for high throughput just like a cable connection while having range of 2.4ghz if I want to work out on the deck. I like that it has more than two LTE bands, like my hotspot did, which will utilize all the LTE bands in use. It will not become obsolete for a long time. Spend the money, you will be glad you did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Perfectly I bought this for a friend who had an AT&T LTE hotspot. The hotspot barely could reach 8MB download and upload was abysmal. He had it inside his house and placed it everywhere he could, but to no avail. The AT&T hotspot also had poor in-house coverage in his 1200 square foot house once connected. I bought the AC2200 router and an additional outdoor antenna, coax, etc as we thought the issue was building penetration and antenna gain on the AT&T hotspot. We received the AC2200 and proceded to install it with the Orbi app as instructed (took a while to download over the AT&T hotspot but we perservered. We installed the AT&T SIM into the AC2200, followed the instructions and crossed our fingers. The AC2200 recognized the SIM and connected to the AT&T network immediately. We answered a few questions on the app and were up and running with a WiFi connection via LTE before we knew it. Using the Oribi app, one can see the "number of signal bars" that the AC2200 "sees" for signal strength from the AT&T tower. We hadn't installed any outdoor antenna at this point. Inside the living room, without a clear view to a window, etc, we had 2 bars of signal strength and the OOKLA speed test came back at 8MB. My friend was estatic as the AT&T modem had spotty coverage there. I then placed the AC2200 near a window in clear "view" of the AT&T tower (there are web pages on line which show you where the towers are, what LTE bands they use, and their coverage so I knew where to "point" the AC2200). Immediately, after a reboot, the AC2200 showed 4 bars of signal strength! We ran a few OOKLA speed tests and they consistently showed downlink speed at 50 MB or higher and uplink speed at 8 to 10 MB. I told my friend my cable supplied internet only does a bit better. Smiles all around. We chose to not install an external antenna as the performance was outstanding without one. Kudo's to the Netgear antenna and radio engineers (I design wireless systems and antennas for a living) for an incredible job well done. LTE antennas have to cover a large frequency range and be small enough to fit inside the AC2200 package. Awesome performance. I would, in a heartbeat, buy this product again.(I did actually, and two of my friends neighbors have placed their orders after seeing the performance.) You may not have the experience I had if you live far from an AT&T tower. My friend is at least 5 miles from his tower and the land is flat. I do think that using an outdoor antenna in places with poor coverage will help a bunch (put the antenna above your roofline so it can see all around). The antenna I was going to use is a Wilson 4G Omni Plus Building Antenna (they sell on Amazon for about 50 bucks, well worth it, great antenna). We didn't need it, but I'm keeping the antenna for another day when the AC2200 needs help and we have to install an outdoor antenna on someone else's house. I'm a big Netgear fan. I've bought a lot of Netgear products over many years and have always been a happy customer. The AC2200 is a great product, well designed, and a great performer. The best part of the whole experience this time was seeing my friend's wife's face light up when she said, "WE HAVE WiFi?". Priceless. Several days have passed and each day I get a thank you email from either my friend or his wife. BTW. The WiFi coverage of the router is incredible. They have a 1200 square foot house. The AC2200 is placed in one corner of the house (so it "sees" the AT&T antenna the best) and my friends wife's computer room is in the opposite corner of the house. The WiFi on her MAC shows 4 bars, and she is getting high LTE data speeds on her MAC. The AT&T hotspot would WiFi would barely cover one room when connected to LTE. Again, your mileage will vary with the LTE experience, but if you want to try an LTE connected WiFi router (and you have AT&T or one of the providers Netgear's AC2200 has been approved for) you can do no better than the AC2200. It may cost a little bit more than some of the others out there, believe me, it's worth it.

Would have given it five stars but it does allow to see the cell signal strength from the app. This makes it tricky to know if it is in the best placement in the house for fastest speeds. Also, has needed a reboot a couple times to provide Internet. May be because we are in a rural area and cell service is spotty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Router! I received a sample of the Orbi 4G LTE Advanced Tri-band Router (LBR20) in exchange for my honest review. This router comes with a sim card so you can purchase a data plan, or you can use the sim card from your phone and use the plan from your cell provider. There are also 2 ethernet ports. The router was extremely easy to set up and I am not the most tech savvy person. The internet speed is far superior to every router we have ever used. We have kids and multiple devices going at the same time with no lagging, glitches, or downtime. I really appreciate the ability to set parental controls, bed times and use my Alexa feature for the smart devices in my home. The stated coverage is approx 2000 sq feet and I feel that is an accurate coverage area. This is perfect for the size of our home, because, we can go anywhere in the house and never lose connection. We live in a more rural area and oftentimes lose connection if there is inclement weather, so, now I don't have that worry. I love the sleek design because it doesn't detract from my decor.I feel it would blend seamlessly into any area of your home or business. If you want superior internet speed this Orbi 4G LTE is a must have!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW – What an Improvement! Living in the middle of the woods means our options for Internet connections are limited, to say the least. This Orbi LBR20 replaced the Orbi RBR50 LB1120 4G LTE Modem we’ve been using for the past few years. What an improvement! Living about 1-mile from our carrier’s tower, we used to get 25-30Mbps download speeds. We now hit over 80Mbps consistently with half the Ping time (typically sub 38ms) and virtually no Jitter and zero Loss. Whether watching 4K movies or working from home, NETGEAR hit this one out of the ballpark! Setup was a snap. My two original Orbi RBS50 satellites even seem to work better. One satellite sits over 100-feet away in our barn and is provides an even stronger signal! We have over 16 devices set up on our Wi-Fi mesh network and they are all flying along faster than ever. I was expecting some improvement but not this much — WOW! Buy one. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointed faulty designed product From the paper specs, it looks very attractive. The reality is completely different. Purchased the product for my some remote properties to replace MR1100, but eventually I had to replace LBR20 out. Orbi LBR20 is using a separate (like an external modem in the same box LTE module QUECTEL EG18-NA as modem. The LTE modem NATs to router, router NATs to user, double NATing cause lot problems for me... The Netgear built-in feature "Remote Management" fails because double NATing, Netgear DDNS update with the LTE modem WAN IP address as a 192.x.x.x. , it makes make Netgear built-in DDNS feature gets wrong IP on LTE internet, you cannot remote access via DDNS. Not mention the Orbi LBR20 is huge in size and very heavy (Orbi LBR20 is 885g vs. 226g MR1100 with battery). the speed is very similar, actually slight lower than the MR1100, even it is a cat 18 vs. cat 16 on MR1100. MR1100 is portable (with battery) can carry around, Orbi LBR20 cannot go anywhere. LBR20's reception is ok; it also has two external LTE antenna connectors available.

However, it needs some other wiring/technology that was not provided with the unit I received. Based on the reputation of the manufacturer, it should be a good quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Very Solid LTE connection, great Wifi. I bought this to replace my Nighthawk M1. My primary internet connection at home is AT&T LTE. I had to go to AT&T store and tell them I replacing my Nighthawk because it was dying and they swapped out my Micro SIM card for a Nano SIM card. No questions asked. Which is great because I am on a older grandfathered Unlimited Data Plus plan. They did not ask for an IMEI of the new Orbi, nor did I even mention the Orbi. They just added the new Nano SIM card to my to my account associated with the phone line of my old Nighthawk. Came home popped the new sim into the Orbi LTE. I installed the iPhone Orbi App and followed the directions. This is the only place I ran into a problem. The Orbi App kept saying LTE failed. I tried several times to manually enter the APN information and its kept failing. I then just attached my computer to the Orbi wifi and entered in the ip 192.168.1.1 It asked me if I have a smartphone to download the Orbi App, I entered no, then continue. The online web browser version then immediately recognized the Orbi and my LTE network and just connected, it auto configured and then you just go in and personalize network, wifi names and passwords etc... So far my speeds are about twice as fast as the Nighthawk, getting on average of 40-60 down. The LTE signal is stronger as well. I think this will be a solid device for everyday home streaming and gaming. I will post a follow up in a few weeks.

This Orbi Router really has helped boost wifi inside the house and outside with no disconnects. I am not tech savy but setup was not all that difficult. I even like the look of it sitting there. Dont look like a piece of equipment.

Our upstairs the WiFi does not extend far enough out for my son to be able to complete his school work in a quiet setting . We added this router in and it covered the whole upstairs and I was able to let him use the computer in peace . This is a well made router and not your typical ugly box one . I love the modern look to it !! It was a easy setup and we completed it within 30 mins . I didn’t feel like an electronic idiot when I set this up . The instructions were easy to understand!!

It is so easy to setup and it connects with your sim card for your cell phone/mobile service. You can use your own sim card or it even comes with one that you can connect to a mobile company and purchase a data plan. Being that it works on a mobile service you can connect to the internet basically anywhere, it provides a wi-fi connection in all areas. It covers a very large area, appox. 2000 sq feet so you can connect anywhere in side a large house or small business. It supports 4K HD video streaming which is amazing! It does have two ethernet ports to connect your wired devices as well. I love the fact that it connects with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, making this even more incredible and "smart"! One more option that is great is the Parental Controls which allows you to manage your kids content and time spent online, this is very useful! This router is amazing and works so well I would recommend to everyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Router drops all the time This router was working fine for about 3 months, have about 12 devices connected to the Orbi LTE router and was working well. I work from home in a rural area and LTE is the best I can do. This router will drop every 2 to 4 hours for no reason? Changed the wireless channels and hoped that would help? It did not help. Reset and rebuild my whole network and still does not stay up for more than 6 hours. It is NOT the LTE (AT&T) signal. The router just shuts down (red/purple) color of LED light on top or router. I have to unplug it to reboot it or sometimes I can reboot through the app. I would NOT recommend this product. Very disappointed with the router and the support. I paid 139.00 for a year of support and they can't help me! I am looking into a CradlePoint LTE router. expensive but it should work much better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up This was a great router that was easy to set up. I did not set it up as a fail safe for my current ISP, but I did purchase a plan using the inclosed SIM card. Overall, it is easy to use and easy to set up. I received the router on a Sunday just before church and had it set up in a short amount of time just before church started. I used it to try to broadcast live which is why I wanted to try it at church. One thing I do not like is the light on the top is not constant on, so it is hard to tell if the router is working or not. The other down fall (and this is probably because of who we bought the plan through, T-Mobile), we went through 10 gigs in less than three days and that was with us barely using it. The interface on the app is a good one, and I was able to find everything that I needed in there. Overall, I am very pleased. The range boasts up to 2000 ft, but there were times I was just a matter of a few feet and it said the signal was not that strong. I also did what they suggest and put it in the window to try to obtain a good signal.

You live in rural area where minimum to no internet service, but you have access to 4G LTE from your mobile phone provider. 2. You want to continue using your existing internet service, but have 4G LTE as your backup internet service. The setup was very easy and all was done thru Orbi mobile app. I used this device to replace my mobile phone as a hotspot and got 4 devices (kids' tablets, phones) connected and no issue with Internet connectivity checking email, browsing sites and watching Netflix (worth to note that I have strong 4G LTE signal in my area). My speeds down more than doubled, however my up seeds slowed, which seemed bizarre to me (I’m not super tech minded tho.). The only thing that I’d say is it’s not as flexible for IT techie types that want to dig in and customize. TBH, I‘be not had an opportunity to explore to see what advanced options are available.

We use it mostly to read emails and send emails and it works perfectly. The only downside is that unfortunately the router is not compatible with Verizon. Fortunately it does come with a SIM card and instructions for a website where you can purchase monthly plans. We purchased the $30 plan and it has worked well for us.

This router allows us to have our kids be able to be in school virtually, along with having some luxuries around the house like Alexa devices and tv streaming. Our home is 3100 sq feet and we are able to reach almost the entire house with this router even upstairs. This is the perfect router for rural life. Only con I could say is that it is a little pricey but well worth it. Directions and set up are also clear and easy. Five stars ??

We have tried both rural carrier options and had similar issues with both. We have used Netgear devices in the past so when I came across this router it was a no brainer. This handy device allows us to use a SIM card from Verizon added to our unlimited data plan to broadcast hi-speed WiFi throughout our house. We were previously using a different expandable router with two additional signal expanders to give us coverage out to our detached shop and outdoor pool. This router covers our house- 1700 sq feet- but we'll need to add the additional signal expanders for this router as well to give us the same coverage. That was why this router got 4 stars instead of 5. It would have been nice to be able to get by without, but that was asking a lot. Overall we're quite pleased with this router and would recommend for anyone living in a rural location that struggles to get consistent hi-speed internet but has a stable cell phone signal.

It was a little bit difficult to get setup, and I have issues with various devices bouncing on and off the network. I was hoping I wouldn't need satellites but I soon came to realize that if you have a 2 story home, it's probably wise to add those as well. The best feature, in my opinion, is the ability to have 4G data access through either the SD card they included or through a phone company such as AT&T. Whoever came up with that, deserves a raise! If you do not have many selections where you live such as a living in a rural area, then using the 4G is a great option. The truth is, thanks to bad weather and construction, where I live having a backup is a great idea so that's how I choose to use the 4G. When it comes to setup, setting up guest access, parental controls and continued use of the router, it can be controlled via an app. I definitely recommend that you give this router a try!

I bought the first one in September 2020 it worked flawlessly up until two months ago and it started giving me problems. The service would drop every half an hour. I tried requesting technical support from net gear but after three hours on the phone I gave up. Word of advice, buy the extended warranty

Super impressed. Easy to install. Easy to set up with tmobile. Perfect and cheap monthly service so far. Great solution if you can't set up fiber optics and you need fast internet. I work from home so this is prefect for me. Great product only catch it's not 5G. I would upgrade to 5G when it is available but the speeds are great. Staying in hotel with very terrible wifi now I feel like the king in the castle. Actually got this in 1 day and at the best price I could find right here.

This router won't play TV shows without buffering all the time, web pages load very slow and internet connection drops all the time, we end up using a hotspot from my cell phone as it works much better than this router. Tried contacting Netgear Technical Support for help and spent hours on the phone being transferred back and forth saying they don't have anyone trained on this router to offer support. Definitely don't recommend, really thought Netgear would offer at least some support for their own product.

I took time prior researching this to do research, it wasn't until a couple of days before I received it that I was informed I had to get a separate line from my cellular provider to use the Sim card. I set the router up next to my existing one and ran the ethernet thru the Orbi and the speed tests on both units, it showed my unit was faster but I realize there could also be a spike in service. Unfortunately right now is not the time for me adding a second phone line however I have to use this in the summer as I spend time in mountains where its needed, I feel confident that using the Sim card will add a major benefit to the Orbi and will reserve any future comment until then.

Connecting to the system was super easy and so far I’m very satisfied. I did a speed test and have gotten 56+ mb on downloads. Way fast than I was getting with my cable internet. Highly recommend!

Unlike the nighthawk, my T-Mobile SIM worked great . In Athens tx T-Mobile is very weak but I was still able to get 2MB download speed just by putting the device in my apartment window. I purchased this for use at the farm where I expect I will get much faster access. It is worth the price. I plan to install external antennas to get max speed.

Since I upgraded my home modem to one of the latest Netgear Orbi models I’ve noticed significant improvements in connection strength, and reliability. Once I had the LTE service online it was a short jump to broadcasting wifi and connecting devices. Being WiFi 6, the coverage is great. Not until I got LTE that now I’m averaging 40-60 mbps!!! I know some may not understand this, but I live in the country where satellite internet was ONLY available. There is no way to lock the band on the device as you would a MOFI modem. I live right outside of town (population about 20k and outside of Baltimore with cell towers nearby. My cell phone has no speed issues. I connected an external antenna and that helped a bit but have to restart the device often to get better speeds. Maybe my nearby towers are overrun or getting throttled but AT&T?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vast upgrade over hotspot Orbi has replaced our prior hotspot with far superior seed (50 Mbps down, .5-5 up and covers our entire vacation house. We’ve had a WeBoost antenna that works pretty well, pulling in an ATT signal from 6.2 miles to the tower. Very pleased — my wife and I can do simultaneous video conferences so we can both work from there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remarkably good reception I purchased this device to use as a mobile hotspot in my RV. 4G LTE reception is poor in many of the areas we frequent. The advanced 4G LTE radio in this router outperforms (higher throughput, better reliability anything else that I have tested, especially with external antennas attached. In some places where I have previously required an external antenna, I am able to connect without using one at all. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most advanced 4g router on the market I have been using the Orbi 4g router for almost a year now and have to say that I love it, the security is amazing. The functionality is incredibly user friendly and the best part is I can take it anywhere in my bag with my laptop and have 4g high speed internet anywhere I go. The user interface is very easy to manage and understand. I would recommend this 4g router over every other on the market based on my knowledge of most of the others out there solely because of how secure it actually is, and it’s useability user friendliness. I have been repairing electronics for about 20 years now and I highly recommend this router to anyone who wants the ability to have high speed internet where you might otherwise not be able to get it, or simply because you travel and this can be used in a vehicle quite easily with only an inverter. I use this product daily and for streaming music nonstop as well as using it for movies and tv occasionally. Highly recommend product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great.....some of the time When it works it works great. Speed is decent, WIFI works great. BUT I typically have to reboot this at least once a day after it drops the connection to Verizon. Once it's dropped, only a hard power cycle seems to fix it. I actually put this on a wall timer to force a reboot once a day in the middle of the night since I have house things (thermostat, sump pump tied to the device so I can monitor things when I am out of town for work. I do not think this is a Verizon issue as my phone hotspot works just fine at the same time this goes offline. Signal is 4 to 5 bars, so it's not a signal issue. Other people seem to also have this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent solution for country internet I had Viasat which I couldn’t watch online TV or game. I now get 137 Mpbs download and 18 Mbps upload speed. So I’m saving $50 on internet and now I have an online TV service that has saved $40. WIN/WIN!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In the beginning it was great...but not now It worked perfectly for a long time I've had it about a year now and for the past few months, it is constantly dropping my signal. I use it with my sim card from my provider. I constantly have to reboot the orbi. It is EXTREMELY frustrating. Really disappointed and it's pretty expensive to just get rid of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow So I live in a very rural area. I'm miles from any town. So high speed internet is none existent in my area. We tried everything possible and it was all a joke. Then we decided to get an att hotspot. It worked ok but I wanted router functionally so I bought a Mofi router and was a hair better on signal quality but still not great. Like 20meg on a good day. Well this past week the Mofi router died. At that point I decided to pull the trigger on the Orbi LBR20. Wow I wish I had done it way sooner. I'm pulling 110meg down and 15meg up!!! Thank you Netgear for making a quality product. Oh and another thing. Talk about a simple setup and the app is great. So if your in the market for LTE internet do your self a favor and just buy this router out the gate!!!
