It's very fast with a strong signal, and I’m getting speeds like never before. The amount of features, and the ability to handle all my wireless devices is great. The NetGear app made setting up the Nighthawk router extremely simple and fast. It’s easy to navigate as well. It’s worth the money…I highly recommend.

So I hung up. Hence the 3 stars. NETGEAR you need to do better. The amount of money I spent on this Router alone I should be able to understand the person on the other side of the phone. Disappointed

What good is that when I want security cameras running 24/7 to turn off the faster 5G other things use. I suggested our cable provider consider giving out Net Gear Bighthawks instead of eero.

At first, I was surprised since there were no instructions included, just the quick start card with three steps on it. However, I quickly understood the process when i got the app on my phone. The setup was a super easy, the router works amazingly well, and the app provides a lot of useful information. I would highly recommend this router to anyone looking for an update or replacement. It is a bit pricey, but worth every cent.

Enjoy the nighthawk app that allows you to see what devices are connected to the router and performs a network security scan on each. Only negative so far is that the security scan program requires a subscription cost after a trial period. We have 8 devices connected and set up with the nighthawk app took 20 minutes and was simple.

This router was recommended to me by the tech I spoke to from my local ISP. Haven't had a single issue since. It also is very easy to manage devices with the Nighthawk app.

It would be much better to just access the web interface and be able to adjust all of your settings in one step. This was not the first router I have installed but it was by far the most difficult.

Router is now installed, pihole is working properly, and I've had no problems in terms of performance since then.

Wasted a lot of time, used browser based 'wizard' like the old routers and things went much better and faster. More choices this way than cell phone. The routers work fine. I can't say they are better or faster than the old ones but they are just as stable. One of the old WNDR4500's did not want to cooperate anymore. I liked the bookend style of the old ones. The new AX2400 hang on the wall above cupboards/bookshelves and look ridiculous. Spaceman Spiff meets Will Robinson. All the wires are exposed. But cannot see the status lights with the units laying flat. Progress has it's price.

I was having some trouble connecting wirelessly from the far side of the house. The house is not large enough to warrant a mesh set up and I wanted to keep the expense down. I strongly considered TP-Link, Asus and Netgear largely based on reviews. Choosing to do the install myself I ran into trouble with the set up app. The app ultimately hung and referred me to phone support but the number the app provided was not a good number. I called the support number that came packaged with the router. I have to say this was the most pleasant and helpful support call I have ever been on. The support folks were pleasant, patient, and very knowledgeable. Router was up and running in no time and I learned quite a bit in the process. The router signal is very good throughout the house. I am no longer experiencing buffering issues with my wireless TV set up. So, I am very pleased. Glad I got the Netgear. Can't imagine other vendor support being any better.

We changed our internet provider and had to purchase our own router and compared a lot of them and decided this was the best one for us (also recommended by new provider). Got this one on sale and noticed how vastly different my speeds were, only wish I had just upgraded sooner, actually getting close (at times) to the speeds I'm paying for through my provider. This current unit, i have had for 6weeks now. The installation was easy. The performance is great. I'm not one to constantly tweek my network, I just set it and forget it. The set up process was really smooth. The app walks you through each part of the process. I haven’t taken a dive into the more advanced features, but I really just want to know that I’m getting the speeds I pay for, which I am. It was a relief just how simple it was to get up and running. All of my devices have been able to connect to the Wi-Fi with no issues at all. Great product!

And it HAS NOT disappointed. The East Coast is plug and play. When I lived in Philly, DC, Atlanta, and Miami I just let the provider install a box and I was good to go. After moving back to the Midwest recently I found out that I needed a router for one reason or another. I guess there is no fiber here and Spectrum doesn’t send them, or I didn’t opt for one. Regardless my wife and I landed with the Uhaul and I needed to get her internet access for work ASAP and following the MANY recommendations I saw for the Nighthawk did not lead me astray. I am very happy with my purchase - exceeds expectations and looks cool.

I work daily as a mental health therapist, video conferencing 8 hours daily, and need reliable equipment. So far, my expectations have been met, with consistent Wi-Fi quality. I highly recommend this Netgear router to anyone, no matter what your Wi-Fi demands.

Went through the process three times before it worked. And good luck getting a hold of customer support. All that being said the router is preforming as advertised once it was set up.

I was fed up with the old router dropping my connection constantly, so I paid up and bought this one. Since installing it, I have had ZERO connection failures. It is very much worth the money to pick one of these up from Best Buy or Amazon.

Setup is easy using the Nighthawk app from the mobile store. App provides easy to use interface to manage router. This router does not provide a lot of the higher level configuration that other routers provide such as port forwarding and management of of ptp and other network services, but it's a fantastic entry level home router with great speed and easy configuration.

The performance of this router is way better, faster, and larger range. Setting it up was extremely simple and I love having the app on my phone that lets me control every aspect of my connection. I'm not a hard-core gamer or anything so I can't speak to that community but I can't imagine it giving any lag problems. I highly recommend this router, especially over renting.

It has not only helped with my latency issue while gaming. It has almost doubled the Wi-Fi coverage for my home. We are now able to stream from all of our smart tvs with no buffering.

My router is upstairs and my wifi signal with my internet provider was weak in my living room, where our main tv is located. The cable provider suggested the Nighthawk. Really glad we got it. Signal is great through the entire house. It supports my computer, 2 laptops, wifi outlets for our lights, 3 Alexa doors and two cell phones!

The Nighthawk router has performed very well as I have seen improvement with streaming and faster speeds. It has a strong WiFi signal throughout my entire house. It is easy to set up and the quality is great! I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a new router.

I knew we needed to upgrade our Wi-Fi from our outdated netgear to your most recent model. Took me months to finally make the purchased. A little shocked at the cost but the protection and security of your product is worth it. Installation and setup went so smoothly I waited for something to be wrong. There wasn’t. The only problem I encountered was that my printer didn’t recognize the new router. Fixed that yesterday since I had to. Turns out that was simple too. Just had to tell the printer we had the new router. Again my anxiety with computers. ( I’m an old hippie, what can I say). No question your instructions and setup are designed for folks like me so thanks a lot for that. I give you our highest marks. Thanks Dave

Technician walked me through the steps to successfully complete the set up. I’m not a tech wizard but tech was patient with me and steered me through the installation. After completion, he asked if I would like him to call and follow up to make sure everything was working properly. I told him I was all set. A day or two later I received a note asking if everything was working properly and I told him yes. A few days later I received an e-mail from someone else at Netgear following up and making sure everything was working properly and I responded “yes”. I believe Netgears customer service is exemplary and sets the standard for everyone else. Good Job!

Traded the old one in at Best Buy and got a 15% off couple off a new one and chose the AX2400. We have a 3 bedroom house, about 1100 sq ft for reference. At first, we couldn’t get it to connect to the internet so we called our ISP and they did a reboot of our modem and then it worked. Once that was done, it was a breeze to use the app to set up the router. We have multiple TVs and devices using it at the same time and we get a strong signal to the basement for devices there. It’s worked great. Definitely a good purchase.

Very happy with performance and features, enjoying the feature that scans devices for known vulnerabilities. Appreciate the support for WiFi 6, and WPA3. On the WPA3 front...bought a "Fire TV" a few months ago, connected it to the new router, and every time we turned the TV on, we had to go to "Settings", "Network" and choose the SSID for it to reconnect. Didn't have to reenter password, etc, but did have to manually select the network each time. Didn't have that problem with previous router, so I tried disabling WPA3, then reconnected the FireTV to the RAX30 using WPA2. Worked fine. Renabled WPA3 on router, TV still connects fine. None of my other devices that support WPA3 have any issues reconnecting, so I believe the issue is with the TV, not the router. This is probably my 5th Netgear Wi-Fi Router over the last 20 years or so, mostly I've upgraded to keep up with improved technologies, only 1 has failed. I've also installed many in clients homes/offices, and recommended them to many friends, almost no one has had any issues with them.

With that exception it gives us great coverage through out our house without using extenders. We upgraded out wifi to 1G and our old router wouldn't accomodate it. This one does a great job. Full disclosure, I'm a boomer but consider myself technically savvy enough to do this myself. I don't like the fact that you have to download an app to set up the router. Following the steps was not an easy process although in the end I was able to get it working. It definitely expands the coverage area of my 2400 square foot two story house so that's a real plus.

Was a bit of a struggle to set up as you need to ensure you disconnect all other routers and storage devices from your main isp router. Took about an hour to set up but once set up it’s working well and now we have our main WiFi running strong again. Definitely recommend as an WiFi enabled extras router.

You have to use the app, so if you don't like using or don't use a smartphone/tablet, that could be an issue. I really like being able to access the settings using my phone rather than the old way with Genie. And, it even had setup for a guest network on the app. Hoping it continues to work at this level. It was still working but was not getting the speed my provider supported. The RAX30 was easy to set up in about 10 minutes. Now I see 364 Mbps download and 11.8 Mbps upload speeds. This new speed really helps when the family and grandchildren with all their electronic devices are here. No one complains about connection problems or slow speeds now. During setup the metered connection feature was turned on (setup done via the app) and took over an hour of troubleshooting to turn off. I would suggest setting the default value for that feature to something higher than 0 when you first turn it on.

I have installed many routers over the last 20 years for work and personal use and this was as easy as the included instruction manual tells you it is. You download the Nighthawk app on your phone, you scan the QR on the back of the router after you plug it in to your modem, you then update your firmware (I had to, anyway) and you create your new network and connect your devices. It IS that easy. My router came with a year subscription for all my devices to Bitdefender, too!! Very happy with this router purchase. ??

It has excellent range with no areas of drop out to my entire house and garage encompassing about 5000 ft.² even makes it outside to the pool without any problems at all. I had no problems connecting all of my devices and everything has run smoothly since day one no compatibility issues with anything including security, cameras, TVs thermostats, cell phones, and laptops. My son is even running his work computer through this without any difficulties he works from home for a software company we have not noticed any shortage of bandwidth whatsoever. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Router I previously had an older (5+years) Nighthawk that worked okay. However, with more devices it just couldn’t keep up. The AX2400 is a wonderful upgrade! All my devices stay connected, ans it does a much better job of auto choosing between 2.4 and 5 GHz.

Pros : easy set up with a smartphone app, works well in the few weeks I've owned it without issue. Cons: not as customizable as my previous router. I used to be able to have the router restart on a schedule, turn off the LEDs after dusk, and other cool features. I'm missing those in this router.

I was expecting a boost in overall WiFi bandwidth and speed but that has pretty much been on par with the speed I was clocking before the upgrade. That said, the WiFi range is a solid improvement. I am also enjoying the proprietary nighthawk application that allows me to monitor my network on my phone. The complimentary security features have also come in very handy. Overall I’m happy with the device and while performance could be better, I’m able to stream 4K content and support multiple devices simultaneously.

I live in a rural community and I have a 2 acre lot, no matter where I am I get wifi, but I think the thing I like the best is, that you can control anything on it. Not like some other routers I have that will not allow you to stop broadcasting it's SSID and locks some other functions. Great router, great price.

I purchased an updated version of what I had. That replacement provided me with 3-1/2 hours of phone calls and 2 tech support agents. Apparently an issue of the Yellow Ethernet not communicating with the modem. I was instructed to return the unit. And I did. Reluctantly I again purchased another just like the first. I had no issue installing the second unit. And did not require calls to Tech Support. Very much satisfied now. The unit is working wonderfully in o my 2100 sq ft home.

It also has remote management, but the major issue is that you can only do remote management via the mobile app. It would be nice is you could access the remote management via a web browser since not all places I would be have cell service but I could use a PC connected to the internet where they may not have WiFi. I haven't had it too long to fully teat how reliable it is but it does seem to transmit the wireless signal fairly decently. I have it located on the 1sy floor in the corner office in our 2 story home and we get a good signal in the basement and 2nd floor. All in all, this router seems decent, but the software could use a bit of extra functionality.

Setup of the RAX30 using the phone app was easy. Had the new router configured and running in 20 min. Fine tuning of settings can be performed via the router web page. Daily email of the router log is helping me to pinpoint trouble devices on my network. Early days yet, but my network stability, wired and wireless, has been good. No problems at all. I would have no trouble recommending this device to someone in need of such.

Using the application to set up on my iPhone was a little bit difficult. But using the application afterward works flawlessly and provided all of the information needed. It has shown to not quite have the coverage that my old one had. So, good, but for the price I really hoped for better. Also, the web interface acts much slower than my old one.

I have an L shaped single story 1600sq ft house, and the entire house gets a great signal from this router. I definitely recommend this if you are looking for an updated router.

Our household was experiencing lags and disconnect issues. The Netgear Nighthawk was very easy to set up and all our devices easily connected by entering the password. The Netgear App is user friendly too. When setting up the Netgear router, a prompt informs you that if you keep the same WI FI network name and password your wireless devices will automatically reconnect to the internet; however, this wasn’t the case for me. I had to reconnect each device even though a kept the the network name and password the same. The router I replaced was another brand, so maybe that made a difference. Since installing the Netgear NightHawk router, we haven’t experienced any connection issues or lags. I would recommend this product.

First time ever having a WiFi system. NetGear's awesome Customer Service Tech's were quick, courteous, empathetic and knowledgeable (kudos to Opak and Frank). Their assistance enabled me to complete setup, in lieu of unable to scan app, for completion. They assured me, that it would not interfere with my solid computer or VOIP phone modem network (and it has not). This purchase was for 4K Ultra TV usage only. I look forward to purchasing a Smartphone with a minimum 256 GB, laptop and perhaps security doorbell to encompass and utilize the wonderful Nighthawk Armor features!

What do you know? You have to actually follow the directions. Pretty easy though. Took about 20 minutes. Plenty of coverage throught my apartment.

I had to replace my range extender (to send the signal to my old Airstream office in the yard, but I was able to integrate it OK. We did have some dropouts and reconnect issues at first, before I turned on Smart Connect, but all seems OK now. The Netgear Nighthawk app is clear and helpful for making adjustments and monitoring the router.

Given how long it had lasted (10 years was anxious to replace with another product from Netgear. I reached out to the support team at Netgear and have to say I was blown away by the level of support and responsiveness to my needs. Even after I finally figured out what I was doing wrong, the team reached out to me to make sure the router was set up and running. Finally connecting to my wifi and the WWW was achieved except many web sites were not opening because of a security problem. I called tech support right away and was quickly connected with a professional. I was assured that I would be cruising the web shortly. He clearly guided me through various necessary operations and I was zipping uninhibited around the web wherever I wanted to go. He had understood my situation and was patient all the while we worked together to get me online. I immediately ran a test and found I was running faster than ever before. I was very pleasantly satisfied with my purchase. It has been only about a week in use and I should have made this purchase sooner.

A little tricky if you're replacing an existing router and want to keep all the same names, but otherwise just follow the steps in the app and it works. More advanced settings are not available in the app, so you must go directly to the router via browser. In general extremely happy with this router.

It took a short amount of time to plug it in and set it up. Automatically it detected my devices, is faster and much more secure. Definitely satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much Faster than a 6 year old router I replaced a 6 year old 2.4 GHz (600 n) router which was ok for most part, but was slower especially when downloading large files for work, and loosing signal about 60 ft outside my house . It was taking about 3 minutes to download large files, and I would have to try 4-5 times as it was failing constantly. This time was reduced to about 30 sec, and never failed in the 2 wks I had the Night Hawk 30 RAX. The result was the same on 2.4 and 5 GH at about 30 ft distance in a different room from the router. The signal was much stronger all around the house and I had good signal at about 100 ft. I have 3 tvs and 4 cell phones sometimes streaming in the same time. My new 65

The instructions and video made it easy to follow. The router is great and the wifi teaches all the areas of my house. This is definate well worth what I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Mid-Tier Router Not everyone needs a big mesh router setup, and the AX2400 provides great coverage in our 36X48 ft home 1300 ft2 indoors 400 ft2 covered lanai. Because we stream, WiFi 6 is becoming more important. It's also about twice as gas as our previous router. My only complaint is adding a new network is not supported by the app, and I have to use the web interface. OTOH, what the app does it does well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as described Was able to take the router out of the box, plug it into my modem and using the Nighthawk app setup the router quickly with all of the basic functions (Wifi, parental access etc.) I do wish the app had access to the higher functions if needed such as if I was connecting to the router IP on a desktop. Getting the speeds as advertised, and it has very good coverage for the house. It sits in a room on the very far end of a 2500 SQ FT house, and i've had no issues with speed or latency in the basement or in the garage on the other side of the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got the job done! It was time to upgrade my old Netgear modem/router. I am using the free modem from Spectrum and my new Netgear Nighthawk RAX30. It significantly improved my existing wi-fi signal to my Ring4 doorbell camera. The battery life is now what I had hoped it would be. Take your time when installing and use the app. Make sure to call Spectrum to make sure the new modem is registered before proceeding. Excellent signal since installing last week.

Bought this router and set it up. I had my doubts that it would make a significant difference. But I'm glad that I was dead wrong. Amazing speed and signal strength. Set up can be a bit of a challenge for a non-techy person like me. But with some patient coaching by a support person, we got it done.

The user interface on the router itself feels dated, though. When you bring up different screens, they are a finite size and you have to scroll to get to all the options, which isn't obvious.

The Nighthawk AX2400 covers my entire house without any issues and even reaches to my back yard. While I like the additional technology in the next model up and higher, the price took a significant jump and I didn’t want to pay that much extra at this point in time. I’m glad that I was able to get basic WiFi 6 technology and a good coverage range at this price point. I’ve been pleased with it so far.

This new router and also the new Netgear cable modem did not fix the issue. This product seems to be a good one, just unhappy that I have not been able to resolve my issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made a great choice My old router was a NetGear model, 15 years old.Was informed by Spectrum that we had the capability to have 200Mbps but after speed testing, we could only get 60Mbps. After a lot of reading I choose the Nighthawk AX2400 WIFI 6 RAX30. I also downloaded the app to my phone. This really made it easier to hook up. After all is said and done, we are getting 230 to 329 Mbps depending on the time of day. We now have a faster computer response and no more sound bleeps from the TV streaming services. I’ve already talked to a couple of friends to buy this router .

Which include: Smart TV, Ring Security Cameras (5 cameras), Cellphone and tablet. Along with other devices when guest stay at my home. I'm impressed with this router.

We noticed that our ISPs WiFi was not ideal for this setup, so I purchased the Netgear Nighthawk AX 2400 WiFi 6 Router. WiFi 6 was a good selling point as we have Amazon FireTV Cube and the Amazon FireTV 4K Firestick (WiFi 6 enabled). I set up the wireless network as two networks: One being the ISPs for guests and the other being the Nighthawk for my wife and me. It has been working wonderfully.

I have had incredibly fast internet speeds with multiple devices going at the same time. The app and mobile site felt like I was going in circles and repeating myself a lot. But once it was all done, everything was working great. The range and connection strength are excellent, and being able to easily reset either from the router itself OR my phone is very handy. Setting up the network details and guest network is very easy. You can check your connection strength/speed/status while away. You can even disable your wifi while away if you desire. I may not utilize these features, but it's nice to know they are there if an emergency/threat or strange situation demanded it.

I will say Nighthawk works smoothly with all of my devices, it is fast and secure. I would buy again.

I did have to change a few passwords which wasn't a problem. I downloaded the Nighthawk app for my phone and it's great as well. I highly recommend this router.

My old router couldn’t connect to my phone and required you to be hardwired into it to get a strong signal in my little 1200sq ft house. Not the Nighthawk. Set up was a breeze, the app is easy to use, love the ease of parental controls, being able to create a guest password for visitor's and for the first time in years my Apple TV works perfectly, my IPhone hooks up to it perfectly and I have 2 gamers in my house all running off the same signal with no signal drops and no buffering. While the Nighthawk cost more than a lot of other brands out on the market it is worth every penny. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

Oliver was our rep we spoke to at Best Buy and made things easy to understand and it was great knowing he bought the same thing for his place. Setup was so easy and we were set up within 20 min. I have used Netgear as my preferred brand for my routers for many years, and I have never been disappointed. I decided to purchase a new router because I wanted to upgrade. I had my last router for approximately 10 years, and it was still operational, but I wanted a WiFi 6 router. The signal strength and range are better, so I am very pleased. I have been wanting to upgrade. However, I have been extremely hesitant to make a new purchase due to my fear that the set-up would be too time consuming. I definitely want to express my extreme pleasure that the set-up was very efficient, particularly when using the Nighthawk app! I definitely would recommend the NETGEAR Nighthawk 2400 WiFi 6 Router (RAX30) to any purchaser!

The nighthawk app however leaves a lot to be desired. My main issue is that even though I’m enrolled in netgear armor, the app keeps indicating that I am not and tells me to enroll. I’ve tried so many things but nothing had worked. At least the router is nice.

After troubleshooting for 12 hours I finally discovered the signal my Spectrum router was transmitting was garbled with corporate code you can’t remove. I bought this, swapped it out, and have had no issues since. Easy setup, strong signal, same great speed. DON’T TRUST THE SPECTRUM router. Use this instead.

After trying to connect it with customer service for over an hour the ultimate solution was to unplug the modem and router for 5 long minutes and then connect them in a specific order to finally make the router work.

I chose this Router after much research and wanted to stay with NetGear! I am so happy I purchased it. It was an easy install following the online instructions. Keep up the great work NetGear!!!!!

NETGEAR has such an easy setup process with the Nighthawk app, I was done within 10 minutes. I also love the ability to log into the app and review internet speeds, devices connected, parental controls and even a guest wifi option! I am very pleased with this purchase.

The Netgear Nighthawk was highly recommended by the IT person at my workplace. I confessed I call support with the set up only because it's been so long and I was to do it correctly. Easy to set up. We now have faster internet, it is working great with the new fiber optics, and all our devices have had no issues connecting with it. What a difference with my printer! Have always used Netgear routers and will continue to do so. Great products and support.

Installation was super easy and the improvement was immediate. Three people were able to work/be on zoom meetings at the same time in my two-bedroom apartment without issue. The internet wasn’t notably faster, but it was a good speed and consistent, which was the goal. Overall good router!

It can stream all 4 TVS, 4 phones, 2 computers, and a gaming console all at the same time. The app is also great. You can purchase security features, see the devices connected and troubleshoot and even restart without having to get up. We will never be purchasing any other brand!

It has fast download and upload speeds while it also shows your ping. The only thing I will say is that I wasn’t sure if I can have it as a wireless router or not.

I was able to check my internet speed along with security checks and rename and change the password without having to read the instruction manual. This is the best router I have purchased so far. I will recommend it to others.
