Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic extender Been using this extender for over 1 year and have not had any problems with it. Have multiple devices connected to it at the same time with no issues. It needs to be plugged straight into a stand alone power point on its own and NOT into a multi extension power board or double adapter. Firmware easy to use and simple. Also, the 'Wireless Output Power' which allows you to adjust the output and range of your extender WiFi coverage on mine I think was set on 75% by default, you can change this to 100%. Overall, very satisfied with this product.

I can now use my iPad and laptop anywhere in the house I choose. I am completely satisfied with this product. I truly wish I would have found it sooner. Anyone fighting wifi connection from their current router needs to purchase this unit. I was totally blown away with the fact that this tiny wall-plugin unit could give me the wifi access I needed.

I purchased a NetGear N300 WiFi Range Extender. It's small and compact, was fairly easy to set up, and works wonderfully. We now have strong signal to our entire home.

Wifi has to run through 5 walls including a fireplace to get to the patio. With the extender, the wifi is nearly as fadt as being near the modem. I'm using the 2.4 wifi line on the extender. Huge improvement to no extender on the patio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup I must admit I was a bit intimidated when I first considered buying a wifi extender because I'm not a very tech savvy person. I read some online reviews before ordering and saw that people were complaining that they were unable to set theirs up or had a difficult time doing so. Personally, I didn't excounter any problems at all and actually found setup to be super easy using WPS on my router. Wifi signal has improved greatly in my daughter's bedroom which is at the very back of our home. Before the NETGEAR N300 Wifi Range Extender, the wifi signal on her phone was iffy and her streaming device would not connect at all. All devices are now connected and there is no buffering or jumping. Our signal has also improved in our main hallway bathroom, where signal was in and out before. I'm happy that I took the chance on buying this, and so is my daughter. I would recommend this product and would definitely purchase again, if needed.

The TV with my Amazon Fire device is on the first floor at the other end of the house. After easily setting up the range extender mid-way between the two points I now receive an excellent signal on my TV. No more buffering! Amazing!

I had poor signal strength, and the connection sometimes dropped.This solved my problem. Set-up was simple, and I've now got a full strength signal with no drop-outs.

They were unable to play their video games online, so I bought the NETGEAR for a Christmas gift. Problem solved. What used to have 50-60% signal strength now has a 100% signal with this new device. I highly recommend this product.

Then I added the wired connection from my Blu ray and everything worked perfectly. The LEDs on the device are a great troubleshooting tool if needed in the future.

Had purchased the Ring Chime Pro which did not resolve the weak signal so returned it and took a chance on this. Easy to connect and now the doorbell works like a charm. Not only was it half the price of the Charm Pro but it can also be used to extend the signal for my other mobile devices. Great product!

If you need to boost the WiFi signal from your router (and your overall speed is under 300 mbs), I would recommend the N300. We are very happy with it.

Before we had this product we could only get Wifi downstairs, and unless we were in front of the router, it's strength would be very low. Now we have this product and we can get a strong signal all over the house! I no longer have to use all my mobile data when upstairs! After installing our Netgear Range Extender, the wifi has never been better! We are able to stream Netflix while simultaneously using our phones and computers. Our neighbors recently bought an extender under our recommendation and it is working just as well for them! Thank you!

Put in the N300 and now all components of the system show a minimum of 4 bars on the system panel. This range extender really "extends" the coverage.

After setting the device up (which was very simple - I added my Apple TV and iPhone to the extender. I now no longer experience bad buffering or resolutions while streaming my favorite shows. I would recommend this device for anyone who does not have their modem/router centrally located in their home and have 'dead-zones.'

My WiFi signal was rather weak in both my front foyer and my great room due to both my router positioning and the distances involved. This product worked very well extending that network and allowed me to both install a video doorbell and a internet based TV. I found the device easy to both activate and install. I am well pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does a great job. Because of the infrastructure setup in my apartment, my wireless router had to be placed in a location that made Wi-Fi difficult to get to my room. I would at best, get about one or two bars. And that was with the door open. I placed the extender inside of my room. And now I've gone from having little to no service to 10 megabytes download speeds. About one third of what is outside near the router. It may not sound like much, but it's better than the 0 megabytes I was getting before. I am sure if I would be able to move the router closer, my download speeds would improve. The product works exactly as described and I am extremely happy

Our main unit is in the media room and prior to the extender we had issues with inconsistent wifi. This purchase was made our WiFi life easier.

I used to not be able to stream 30 minute videos, but can now stream 2+ hour movies with little to no problem. Sometimes the extender's connection will drop, but it almost immediately re connects before I can manually reconnect.

I have my main wifi hub in the living room and due to the way everything is set up and the age of the walls, my bedroom one room over had no connection. It's easy to reset if you are looking to hook it up to a new modem down the rd. The ethernet connection is always a great way to get true connectivity and with the NetGear n3000 you get just that. I would recommend this to anyone trying to boos the signal within a couple hundred feet.

I'm thinking of adding more to see how far from the router I can go (right now, it has to be at least 60 feet on two levels).

I did a little research and found the EX2700's were well rated at a very economical price. I tried one at one end of my house and it worked so well I put another at the other end of the house. The config was easy and allows you to somewhat control the range of the signal. I have a VoIP phone plugged into one EX2700 and it works great! Solid piece of hardware for a great price!! Highly recommend!

Our WiFi router lives in the front half of our basement, which makes it tough to get a good signal in our master bedroom, kitchen, and impossible to get a signal on our back deck where we enjoy listening to music and relaxing! I picked this extender up on a whim and it has been the ideal solution. Plugged it into an outlet in our kitchen and we don't even notice it's low profile. The only thing I can say is that I am upset with my internet provider because I pay for 75 megabytes per second for my internet but I was only able to achieve this after using the Netgear Wi-Fi extender. I had some "dead zones" in my family room and master bedroom where the wifi signal could be low and losing connectivity. This was very frustrating because in my master bedroom, it would happen late at night. The master bedroom sits directly over the family room so I plugged the Wifi extender in an outlet in the family room. And, even though the extender is quite a distance away from the router, it works perfectly. I am a senior citizen and not that techy, but I followed the included directions and had no problem connecting to my router. There were a lot of brands of Wifi extenders to choose from. I ordered Netgear because I had recently bought the Netgear Arlo security cameras and felt that the Netgear technology and construction was solid. I highly recommend this extender for anyone who is being plagued with weak wifi signals in areas of their home.

My internet connection point is in a remote part of the house, and the ISP equipment just doesn't reach far enough. I have one of these in my kitchen and it serves my 2 smart TVs and laptop. It even covers the back porch. I bought a second one for the garage so that my driveway security camera would have a good connection. Both work great, and handle the high-bandwidth video streaming. The N300 device is white and has a nice design, so you can put it in any room without it looking like an ugly wart on the wall.

It's placed halfway of my house in the hallway, and it has not had any issues. I have my PS4, 3 phones connected to it, and it has not failed me yet. For the price, it is worth it. The setup was smooth, kept the extender in same room as router, followed easy setup and configuration instructions, removed and plugged extender in close to patio. Then connected iPad and phones with ease outside the router room. Great results that exceeded my expectations. Great product for the cost.

Works great with my wireless security camera, my iPhone, and laptop at that distance. My internet service is 20 MB download wireless for I live out in the country. Again works just as good as I had hoped it would. Very easy setup. Within a minute or two I was up and running.

But it excells at Ethernet to wireless and wireless to Ethernet. This helped my Dell Win 10 laptop that was very sluggish upload/download by connecting via Ethernet from the EX2700. And on a second one, connecting the EX2700 via Ethernet and connecting devices via 2.4 & 5 GHz with decent speeds.

Located on the second floor, this particular extender (N300) covers a sizeable area across three floors which is otherwise unreachable by the main router 200-300 ft away. It was very easy to set up and had easy instructions. I've never even set up a router before. After set up, I moved it to the desired location and it works perfectly. I've had it for a week now and it's maintained a constant a strong connection for this end of the house. I may even get another for my upstairs.

Our home has a lot of stone work so signal was pretty weak from the router in the office. After taking just the few minutes to install the extender, and it was easy, the signal to our main living area and from the cameras is great!! I highly recommend the N300. It will make your life a lot easier.

I was furious with the frequent, a dmean almost CONTINUOUS dropped signals. Everytime I checked the status of my network, I would often see not connected, or the best I would get is two or three signal bars.The day I connected this product, I was pleased with the very simple setup and delighted with the IMMEDIATE and steady signal boost to five full bars, and I have had the product for more than a week now and NOT ONE DROPPED SIGNAL! Amazing!

I was having problems watching Netflix/Amazon because the signal was weak, causing my tv to pause a lot or lose signal all together. Since I have set up the Netgear extender, I haven't had a single issue!

It has a very good reception for the wifi you are extending, so you can place it far from the main router and it will still connect to it, this enables me to have a very good coverage in my house. I'm mainly use the wifi for gaming, and the latency difference between the extender, the main router and a direct lan connection is almost negligible. I would greatly recommend this product to everyone.

My office doesn't get the best reception from our modem/router, but with the extender, I have full bars on my computer.I wasn't able to hook up the extender using the quick WPS method, but I had no trouble using the browser method. Another excellent feature is the ethernet jack on the bottom. We have a computer that only connects to the internet with a cable. We've had to have the computer next to our modem in the kitchen to connect it to the internet. Now we can move it anywhere in the house and hook it up to the internet through the NetGear range extender.

I would have saved myself time and trouble if I would have just went with this netgear WiFi extender to begin with. Lesson learned! This extender is great! We have xfinity and they gave us these wireless boxes that were severely under performing for our TVs. All I had to do to set them up was plug them in and press a button on the extender and on the modem and then boom! They were connected. No more skipping and freezing on our tv's!

Unfortunately I have a piece of hardware that needs connect to the same network name as my base router. This particular unit can't be set to do that. So I ultimately had to return the EX2700 for a different model (EX7500) that uses the same network name.

My router was downstairs on an end table, and I placed the extender in my upstairs hall. They worked great so when I wanted to extend wifi to a outbuilding about 250' from the router, I set them up to daisy chain. They are not intended for this but worked well for a temporary fix. I plan on buying a larger unit to get the signal there in the future and us the 2 I have to extend that.

Setting up the product was a breeze with the instructions provided in the manual. Within a few minutes using the WPS button set-up, I was able to connect this network. However, after setting it up I realized I overlooked the fact that this router only connects to a broadcasts a 2.4ghz connection, and not the 5ghz connection. I researched and found another Netgear extender that had an identical build but is dual band/broadcasts 2.4ghz & 5ghz signals and returned this one. I am overall happy with the replacement, and would still recommend Netgear brand range extenders.

I got this because I have an old device that wouldn't stay connected to WiFi, so I ended up connecting that device to the built in Ethernet port. The device treats it like a wired connection and has no issues now! Great product at a great price!

Finally, one of the cable reps told us what we were missing. Now, we have excellent reception for all devices on our WiFi, saving lots of data usage. We are very pleased with the product. We would advise calling NETGEAR and registering with them from the beginning rather than doing it yourself. Solves problems; saves lots of time.

Security company said to get this one, multiple stores didn't have it, but in store Tech swore different N300 extender would work. Of course, many frustrating hours later... Returned it the next day, and ordered same day Amazon delivery of the EX2700. Installed exactly as instructed in minutes, perfectly!

After installing the WiFi Range Extender we have strong WiFi in the garage, outside and throughout the house. Setting it up I had to contact NETGEAR which provided great customer service and assisted me with care and professionalism until I set it all up and had WiFi throughout. Now we can watch TV outside without the need to run cables. I recommend buying this WiFi extender. I ordered another one for a relatives who have weak WiFi and sure they appreciate it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I got this because I was getting dropped and buffering from WiFi router that was located at one end of front of 2200 sq. ft. house. Set up was pretty easy, except that when you go to set up in same room as Linksys router, the WFS and router light did not light up very bright, so I thought it was not connecting. But, after doing setup in same room, I moved the extender to where it needed to be located. Boom.... full signals everywhere in my house, including the bedroom which is farthest from Linksys, Solved all my problems... no more disconnects on my laptop, fast speed in the areas I was having trouble getting signal. I thought I would have to replace old Linksys router and spend $300-$400 on new router. Nope! $20 for this Netgear extender and problems solved. I would certainly recommend this product.

I paired it with the Netgear Orbi router satellite system in my home. Set up was extremely difficult, however a third party company Softtree who represents Netgear, walked my through the 2 hour process. Nevertheless, the extender works flawlessly and performs as promised in a room I thought would never receive a signal. A recommended buy.

I bought the range extender for my son to set up, next time he's in town - but it came in two days, and ... well, I decided to read through the instructions and figure it out.They instructions actually make sense. And, they work.I had to do it the hard way, not just the "hit the WPS button on your wifi access point." I just calmly followed the directions, and it worked. Not only that, but then I plugged it in where I knew I had access that would allow me to extend the range, and that worked too! This is doable for people with a rudimentary knowledge of computers. Highly recommend!

At home, we kept the router in the office (which was in the farthest part of the house) and when we would go upstairs or in the family room, the connection was lost. We have Verizon Fios and this extender works perfectly! Wish I had this when I was still living at home!!

My Wi-Fi router is in my basement, and on the upper level of my house, it is very hard to get a good signal. With this range extender, I now get an excellent signal all throughout the upper level of my house. It was easy to setup and configure, and it works great! Highly recommend it!

First i connected to its Wi-Fi, then put in the GUI IP address, went through the set up and bam high speed internet in my shop; where before using the extender, there was no internet at all. Now i can steam video to my Chromecast and watch YouTube and it doesn't buffer even in HD. Really happy with it.

Not only was this product able to connect to my iPhone hotspot, it also boosted the signal to where I can get signal at the end of my driveway (125 yards). I can stay connected in front or back yards (it dont matter which). So with it capable of doing this off cellphone hotspot then I can only imagine how it will perform on fiber optic or satellite internet.

Right now, I'm writing this review in the bedroom of our apartment in Istanbul where I plugged it in, which would otherwise be out of reach of the router because of the concrete walls between the walls. I've been very pleased with this little device that performs great. It's only n-radio therefore the speed of your internet is about 75-80% of what you would get if you connect to your main router. In my case this drop in speed has not been a problem.

My boat is blocked by a wing of the building from receiving steady WiFi from my router in the apartment. I bought a Netgear N300 and placed it in a neighbors apartment who had line of sight with my boat. I followed the setup for pairing the Netgear to my router and it worked super easy. Next I set up my firestick TV and saw a strong signal and am now enjoying streaming my movies and surfing the web when I chill on my boat. Thanks Netgear!

Now with this WiFi Range Extender I have a strong, clear signal everytime! One thing I would suggest, you have to wait a couple of minutes when you move it the first time before it will pick up your main router signal. I moved it and didn't wait long enough and I thought I couldn't get the signal there. When I walked away to get the instructions and came back it was 100% green. Thank you Netgear!

It provides the extra WiFi needed for my streaming movies from Netflix and Amazon Prime to entertain me on my smart TV to display in HD. If you're having streaming issues, this is the gadget for you. If you want, download the Free NetGear Analytics to learn what signal strength is pre-install and then post-install. I gained a great deal with basement installation. The process required me to install in the same room as the cable modem (Access point) to preload the wifi settings, then basement installation was a snap. It was a little different understanding what they meant by password (new or existing wifi?) but it worked out eventually. Great product so far!

Even though the specs were for the size of the addition, we were skeptical that for the price it would work with concrete block walls between the server and the addition, but it was worth a try. This extender did the trick It keeps the wifi steady and didn't cost a fortune. I would definitely recommend it.

Plus, the bar siding consisted of metal. This thing is plugged up in an outside outlet (under car port roofing) and works great. Boosts the signal through the metal siding an all. 10/10 would recommend.

Our most used devices are downstairs and we never have a problem. However.....I definately recommend making sure you keep your firmware updated. That was the only time we had any issues.

The signal is strong and programs stream without interruption. The setup is relatively simple, as long as you carefully follow the included instructions. Took me about 15-20 minutes. We had some issues with the connection and download speeds, which caused us to take a second look. We went back through the diagnostics and found that we did not correctly set up the extender with our WiFi and also found the device required an update. After cleaning up a few things and resetting the device after the update we finally got the speed we were hoping for! Overall great device, just be sure you are setting up correctly!

From my bedroom, normally I would get .5 megabits per second. Now I get almost 50! Overall this is a very good WiFi extender to buy on a busget. You just can't beat it. My WiFi is located-as suggested by the installer-as far away from the neighbor's WiFi as possible. This created a problem for trying to use my smart TV in my basement. No matter where I moved it it was nearly impossible to get a decent WiFi signal. Apps would not open and movies would randomly freeze on the smart TV. With the WiFi extender it is as if I have a router hardwired into my TV and I never lose signal and the extender is super easy to setup.

Now we don't have to be right by the router to get WiFi access anywhere in our house. We also don't have to worry about our signal strength dropping even in the dead zone places in our house like before... It even works just outside of our house where it would not before. I highly recommend this product to anyone to help with WiFi in their houses!!! It is a great product and very easy to setup!!

Does not disconnect me and has better range. The only issue is that it docent have a plug thru so it docent take up a power slot.

No where does state you must connect to extender to invoke setup panel, not your existing network. Had to google it to get started.

I also noticed an increase in Wifi signal when using my laptop in the same room. The room in question is a 500 Sq Ft add on that was added on the other side of our home from the current Wifi router resides. I would recommend this product.

It was fairly easy to setup, though it took two tries (factory reset worked easily). So far the streaming media is working fine, and it is no different than having a hard wired connection. I hid the SSID to make it less likely to be found since this is the only use I want for it. The bonus is I can use the hidden SSID if I want to. I would buy this again because it works easily and as it should.

Had to call and start over. Once connected it works great. I would suggest finding a way to get rid of those little antennas. My grandsons love to play with them. That's how my first one was destroyed. Broke one right off!!

Had a small issue setting it up, had to sink to router 3 times and was glad it finally linked.....other wise a nightmare occurs setting it up with the other instructions.....for me anyways....but, no problem and it does extend the wi-fi which we needed for our ring doorbell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect extender I'm a sixteen year old who just simply lives in an in-law suite and the WiFi wouldn't extend from the garage to my bedroom I placed the extender in a few places until I found the best connection, and now it's like I'm practically sitting next to my motum my speed is better and my connection is stronger. It's easy to set up with the guide I was able to set it up in about five minutes, and it's not nearly as expensive as some of the other options.

It provides excellent additional WiFi coverage especially when you have numerous smart device utilizing a your WiFi. I have desktop, laptops, tablets, cameras, door locks, light switches, doorbell, wall outlets, (3) Alexas and (3) Amazon Firesticks. Netgear 300 makes using them all very easy. Highly recommend this product.

However, pushing out WiFi to our outbuildings wasn't working. I added this extender and now can stream Netflix without pause. Works better than I expected.

I bought a powerful netgear router but that wasn't enough to reach the NW corner of my kitchen. At first I was unsure about going with a wifi extender for home use, but after taking the time to set this up (which was surprisingly easy) I immediately saw a major difference in my online gameplay. Gone are the days of lagging out of the rainbow six Siege lobbies, and actually connect to the PUBG lobbies with my friends. This extender is great!

I had no problems with my phone or laptop but my Roku stick would not perform properly. The extender was easy to setup, solved the Roku problem and improved performance on other devices. Perfect.

We remodeled our basement a few years ago adding an egress window making it into a wonderful family room. The disappointing factor that was preventing me from spending more time downstairs was the spotting internet. I tried a few other extenders and they only either worked intermittently or not at all. I thought I'd give it one more shot and try the N300 WiFi Range Extender. Woo! Hoo! It works like a charm. Since I purchased it a few weeks ago, I haven't had any interruptions in the internet service in my basement. Yay!

I rewired the extender in the back end of the house and wired Ethernet to the laptop. After calling customer service they told me to disconnect the Ethernet. The extender operates on its own Wi-Fi network and enhances functionality of Amazon fire stick and tablets as well as blue ray player. Great product. I like that power supply is built in for compact design and simpler wiring

When I would be working on my phone or computer in bed, I could never access the internet - until now! My internet over the extender works great. Zero problems. It also helps to use the app and select a little used channel on your router.

I live in a rancher style home but have a finished basement for the kids to hang out in. We always ran into no WiFi/dead spots down there. They would drive me crazy about it. Running up the steps so they could check their messages etc. This solved the trick beautifully. Ah peace in the house. It took me less than 7 mins to set up the access and to install it. Make sure you name it something other than your wifi name, makes it much easier to find. Kids are happy with the service. We can now stream movies on the projector in the basement too. It's a win win and for cheap. Love it. Thank you netgear.

After setting it up for the first time you can easily relocate the device without having to set it up again. I was also pleasantly surprised when I found out that you did not have to have an ethernet port to set up the device like other WiFi extenders I have seen. I also got it for a very affordable price!

This small device now gives me all the signal strength I need. I am 70 years old and between the instructions provided and some online reviews with tips, I had it up and working in about an hour. That included testing in several locations. I installed it a week ago and had a house full of guests using cell phones and tablets and noticed no drop in live streaming or signal strength even with 6 devices all on at the same time. Very reasonable price.

This extender was easy to setup with the cell phone not with the desktop, NEW EXTENDER SETUP, was not display on the desk top but shows up on the cell phone, then setup was very simple and easy using the cell phone. Excellent job extending my WIFI to areas upstairs that was weak. Very happy with this product.

Before our bedrooms were to far away from our modem to even get on the network. We now have a full signal in everyone of our bedrooms. Setup was very easy and with the ease of plugging the extender into a regular electrical outlet there are no wires to run and it isn't huge or unattractive. I am very happy with this NetGear Extender.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inexpensive and Good WiFi Extender I purchased the N300 to extend my WiFi to the garage and outside my home (backyard. I have a WiFi-enabled sprinkler system and required a stronger signal. The N300 fit the bill and has provided strong signal for the outdoor system and the garage area. Setup was super easy and I appreciate the easy walk through and different setup options provided by Netgear. I have two other WiFi extenders by Netgear and a router and am pleased with each purchase and usage.

Installed to connect our external video surveillance cameras it also provides the strongest signal in our entire house. Every laptop, tablet and cell phone locks on to it as it provides the strongest signal on every floor.

My roommates have a very old router so the signal does not reach the back of the apartment where my room is. I was able to get a full Wi-Fi signal in my room after hooking up the extender, which took less than 5 minutes. This extender works so great, my husband bought one for his house too. I would definitely recommend this product to other people.

I have a 5 bedroom house and the back rooms were moo not getting good connection, until i bought this extender... I would recommend this product if anyone is experiencing the same issues...

I can even get a decent signal out in the backyard to do some work while I enjoy the nice weather. The instruction manual was clear and I appreciated that it offered a lot of options of how to set it up plus extensive troubleshooting. I am not particularly tech savvy and still got it done within about 30 minutes (with a little help from a paper clip to factory reset). Only reason I knocked off a star is because I had a very difficult time accessing the new account page to create a login; the link in the instruction manual kept rerouting me to the wrong page.

It was super easy to set up and connect, took about 10 minutes total to get it connected to our router, and to get everything connected to it. Wish we had done this a long time ago!
