Problem was resolved by configuring the extender to connect to the router via 5g while continuing to run the Ring devices at 2.4g. Everything appears to be running well at this point with no disconnects. Appreciate the different configuration options with this extender.

There was no simple way to bring a cable from the main internet router, but this worked quite nicely. Delivers a consistent 100 Meg speed (router 5G speed is 150)

Changed internet provider, so needed to use with other router, but impossible to change device it is synced up with. When trying to access Netgear’s website, it does not, nor does the website recognize it as a device to reset/resync.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn’t work well After 3 hours with Netgear tech support, could not get extender to go beyond 30 MBS (router is at 300 MBS and without extender we have 60 MBS); we replaced the unit with the same result. So, basically the unit was useless. I returned it for credit to Amazon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well for 1 Year I purchased this over a year ago along with another wifi extender. Initially the set-up was very quick and easy and so I opted for using this extender. However, after a year and a few months (once the warranty ended I noticed the extender no longer broadcasted the wifi signal. I attempted to unplug and plug back as well as initiating a full reset on the unit. However, nothing worked. What was interesting was that although there was a tactile feedback from the reset button, no reset was initiated despite holding the button up to 10 seconds, beyond the 5 seconds suggested.

The chat customer svc person tried to help me but when he found out I was past my free time period he wanted to send me to a paid rep. The product was brand new and didn’t work. The website in instructions kind of takes you on a loop. You have to trial and error to figure things out. It help of you have troubleshooting experience and know you way around extenders.

This WiFi extenders is amazing allows me to work in my office with no distractions on the 2nd floor of my house. Best purchase of the year for me. And the price is awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad extender This is a really bad extender, I have a samsung s23 ultra and two ecobee thermostat that have better reception that this extender from my main router and even when I get connected to this extender it slows my internet from almost 500mb/s to around 10 mb/s and if I get connected directly with my phone to the main router I can reach 40mb/s and with my phone I am further away than the extender.

I had no idea how easy it was to connect to my router and I haven't had not one problem with it ever since. I love when products connect so easy and never have any issues. I had called customer support for advice on connecting it but by the time the customer service tech got connected to me it was already connected and running properly. The service tech just went over a few things with me and viola. Done. Great product, price and very reliable. It's been a week since I bought it and connected it to my router and not one issue.

My kids are now using there laptop, phone, phone and tv with out any drop outs or reception issues. Great product, recommend it to friends.

It produces no noise like my old extender and it's throwing a signal out into our TV room which is the last room in our house and the room that is farther away from the office where the wifi is coming from. It's a fraction of the size of my old extender and the color is good because it just sort of blends in. Awesome product.

After a long call of trying everything I already done, he asks about my existing settings on my router. If your internet already is using the wpa3/wifi6 it wont work. I had to change my home internet to the wpa2 settings. It did connect but did not make any improvements. It made everything in my house horrible. All options I had with and without extender did not have have the internet in a working state to keep using that configuration. I returned this and bought a linksys that has wifi6 and set up in two secs vs tons of time and works like a champ. Verify home internet configurations before buying.

Once restored the connection is fine until the next episode. I am still experimenting with location within my home.

I have had to do many factory resets on the extender in an attempt to get it to work with no success. In some cases, no devices could connect to the internet when the extender was plugged in. Once the extender was unplugged and not active, all devices could connect to the WiFi network. It works about 10% of the time. I have tried the support chat ( which I think is AI based) with no resolution. I am now stuck with this nonfunctioning extender. Do not buy this product!

Other than that the setup was easy and the unit is performing flawlessly in my set up.

As a result, I purchased this extender under the assumption that it's electronics would connect without issue to the router and hence transmit that solid connection to my computer. My assumption was correct and now I not only have the convenience of an extender but also a solid connect to my IP. Thank you Netgear.

Was able to connect TV's, DVD's, a couple of tablets and 2 PC's with zero pick-up issues. Highly recommended.

This was resolved by reinstalling it manually via the computer, initially I did it via WPS. But all is good now getting great Wi-Fi in the outer reaches of my home.

I had the single band for over a year, but as we switched to streaming TV - I wanted to have the dual bands available to the bedrooms. The Netgear EX6120 I have - does not stay connected to the 2 wireless bands on a consistent basis.

However this Wi-Fi extender repeater is definitely not one of them. It constantly disconnects from the routers, which I tested with two different routers. The couple times I did get it working properly, a reboot or touching any setting at all made it completely unresponsive again. Forced to return unfortunately

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreliable/Inoperative Bad experience. I needed an Ethernet connection to a device less than 20’ from the primary router. The EX6120 sets up OK but the 5g will only intermittently broadcast but does not connect to the primary router. Typical 2.4g Wi-Fi speeds are below 5% of that at the router, considerably less than using a Wi-Fi adapter. I am frequently unable to connect to the device html page, receiving a protocol error. A power reset seems to clear that problem. There are no known diagnostic tools for the device except the cute picture on the homepage, but only when it works. Tech support was patient and helpful but repeatedly took me through the same scripted setup as I had previously performed and achieved identical results. The final recommendation was to take it up with the seller (Amazon). Very disappointed the manufacturer would not stand behind their product. I replaced it with a mesh network, from another manufacturer, that set up easily and has operated flawlessly with speeds of 30-50% of that measured at the router. I could still use the netgear extender in another application, but it needs to function first. I am a retired network engineer with advanced certifications from many core business equipment providers and hold advanced radio licenses. I may be a frustrated old man, but I am not a newbie to technology.

It also loses connection frequently. I'm not sure if it's a defective model but with a product like this, I expect the technology to be true and the reliability to be constant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works "slick" after setup; but setup was a bear Recently, I purchased this Netgear WiFi Range Extender (EX6120 to extend/boost my WiFi signal into areas of our home (like the lanai) that were not getting a strong signal. Once I FINALLY got this unit setup, it's performance has exceeded my expectations. However, IMHO, Netgear's setup app for this unit STINKS! On my Apple Mac computer, this app would start to run and then without warning quit! It almost seemed like there was a timer set to only allow you so much time to enter the setup parameters (if you were doing the web-based interface, non-WPA, method). This happened to me WAY TOO MANY TIMES. NetGear needs to work on their setup app and improve it. If this app worked better, I would have probably given their unit 5 stars.

I purchased the Netgear AC 6120 because my Xfinity modem was not allowing my Epson WF 7520 Was not being allowed to mean he was the router do the some security measures. So I purchased in Netgear AC 6120 Extender/repeater Because it will allow me not only to communicate with my printer was 24 other devices! And call me important or the following benefits 1. Once you register your device For the one year TECH support. You login with your original screen name and password then then you log on to the AC 6120 extender/Repeater look for your screen name with the abbreviation EXT Selected login with your original password for the morning and I also do the same with my laptop to ensure the communication with my printer Epson WF 7520 with no problem. 2.) if you need to relocate the AC 6120 extender/repeater you could do that with no problem. Unplug it find it the outlet do you want plug it in there wait 3 to 4 minutes for the morning to Reconnect. Cannot do this with other extenders/Repeaters I have tried.. in the price range with Netgear products such as the AC 6120 extender/repeater is not only reasonable but very well worth it! And I am very much like the size of the AC to 6120 extender/repeater. And I’m very glad that they have a ethernet port that you can use for gaming or other devices that need Internet connection. And you could use the light indicators on the AC 6120 extender/repeater to help you find the best location for the AC 6120 extender/repeater to pick up the Wi-Fi signal from your modem if the light is Red that is not a good place if the light is Amber that’s a good place if the light is green as the best place. And usually best to have the AC 6120 extender/repeater somewhere about halfway between your modem and the Area where you want to enhance your Wi-Fi signal. I am very glad that I was able to find this Netgear AC 6120 extender/repeater. I asked my cable provider to help me with this issue for four months and they could not help me resolve it at all. But I happen to speak to a friend who recommended trying the Netgear AC to 6120 extender/repeater!!

Increased my signal reading on my Dish Network Diagnosis from low 40s to high 80s and over 90! Installation was very simple and complete within a few minutes. I ran test speeds prior to set up and after and noticed significant gains. This unit is mated to a Netgear X4S router which had already improved my wifi signal. I do recommend picking up one of these if you have a larger home. I am please with its performance and glad I found this unit.

My router is towards the back of my house, and the signal would not go to the front, through several inside walls, and the outside concrete block wall. The instructions provided would not get the product to work. I had to call Netgear, and one of their support staff did a number of things with me that was not on the instructions to sync my router with the extender. After that, I just put the extender in an outlet near the front of the house, and there was enough signal to make the outside camera work.

When using the internet with the 2G.. sometimes there was no internet connection, and other times it was very slow. Not a good extender for fiber internet connection. I got the upgraded version the 1800 of this and it works fine with 5G and fiber WiFi.. That model is better for what I have.

We learnt that this was due to a weak wi-fi signal as our router is based in the basement. It was easy to set up, and in a house with multiple devices, once we connected all the other devices to the connections (2G and 5G) broadcasted from the extender, we stopped having connectivity issues entirely.

However, within a couple week of installing, it has randomly stopped working with my Android devices on two separate occasions. The devices indicate they see the network with a good strength but every time I ask them to connect, they say they cannot. Restarting the Android devices doesn't work, but rather restarting the Range Extender has... Frustrating!

While my unit is only 1240 square feet, I have always been unable to get solid WiFi from my bedroom or my balcony. After setting this up, I now consistently have WiFi in both areas. After setting up the extender, my signal in the garage was the same as I get in the house. Streaming video in the garage now with no issues. I put the extender in my house about half way between the router and the garage. Works great.

Our router is in the master bedroom at the complete opposite end of the house. It was very easy to install, and it was in use within a few minutes of unboxing. I placed it in our kitchen which happens to be the middle of the house. It has since provided a stable and reliable connection for streaming on our smart tv.

Prior to installation of the extender, the signal from the router to the garage was only 55% max (my garage is about 75 ft from the router. I researched extenders and found the Netgear 6120 had a favorable rating. I decided to try it and after installation, the signal outputs to a consistent 95-100% strength. Connecting the extender was a little tricky at first but read and follow the instructions carefully and it should be a breeze to install. Also, the EX6120 offers an option to extend both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi ranges which is a plus if needed. I gave it a 5-star rating for ease of use and performance.

I spent 2.5 hrs with the router plugged in next to a 4 month old Nighthawk wifi6 5g router...it never would link in either 2.4g or the 5g bands. Couldn't get closer as I set it onto the router. LEDs never lit up on the device side. Surprise turning it off and back on did nothing... Nor did unplugging it and plugging it back in. In short even with decades in IT work I couldn't get this to link up. Now maybe I had a bad one...but having all instructions and set up based upon if you can get the extender to link n make its own WiFi network to log into should be a router only thing. On day 3 it melted. Got so hot plugged into a wall outlet the plastic case melted...I had given up and taken the WiFi extender upstairs to see if it was just stubborn and it melted like a toddler throwing a tantrum. Output tested fine by an electrician no other things plugged into that output have melted. All in all a wild item never worked and the spontaneously melts into a puddle of goo. Not gonna recommend unless you like frustration and a clean up.

I got it to boost my wifi signal to my upstairs bedrooms as I live in a 1200 square foot two story apartment and it receives a great signal from my wifi router downstairs. Yet 4-5 times a week the cameras go off line and i have to reboot this wifi extender to reconnect them to the network. Also it rarely shows the 5.0 network as available. It is quite frustrating for my husband.

It is a split level ~160sq Ft with a large back deck. I could never get a signal on the deck or with more than 4 devices on the wifi. Now after purchasing this extender I can sit out on the deck and get great wifi for a computer, iPad and phones without problem. I am very happy with my purchase.

The first one became corrupted during a firmware update just after setting it up, and my devices keep disconnecting from the second one unless it’s plugged 7 feet away from the original router, but the entire purpose of getting the extender was because I needed the wifi connection extended to the other side of the house, not just 7 feet away.

It’s less than 50ft from the modem and drops the connection at least three times a day where I have to power off and on again. Very frustrating and not a reliable product.

It seems to work ok, but loses connectivity easily which causes havoc with my Ring cameras and other connected devices. It is NOT a simple plug and play device. Now, I have it in line-of-sight to my new Linksys router and so far, its working well! I wonder if Netgear has a newer solution

Finally asked a neighbor who is a programmer to set it up. He tried the two ways the manual describes, then said “Looks like we’re going to have to go old school.” Still don’t know what he did, but it’s working now. Should be that difficult.

I decided to buy the AC1200 WiFi extender and run a cable from the modem to the extender. My room is now as fast as the rest of my house! We have Gigabit speed and this thing was putting out Gigabit speed! I’ve never had a problem with multiple devices while gaming, my ping is 8-10ms and no lag ever! This is honestly the best WiFi extender ever! Thank you Netgear!

I run 2 outdoor security cameras on this unit at 1080P and the Wi-Fi bars are always at the maximum. Great unit. I purchased another no brand name extender and it worked for 2 weeks and failed. Instead of returning it I threw it away. Should have bought a Netgear brand. Very happy with the performance and would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatly Improves WiFi Reception Upstairs and Down I recently purchased a new TV for my upstairs bedroom, and it needs a WiFi connection for Netflix, etc. The signal was weak, so I ordered a second Netgear EX6120 to place upstairs, and it did the trick. Both the 2G and 5G signals are now very strong throughout our 3200 square foot, two-story house. BTW, if you're going to sue two of these extenders, I suggest using the on-line installation routine and giving them different names. My downstairs router's networks are named Downstairs2 and Downstairs 5G, the upstairs are Upstairs2 and Upstairs5G. That allows me to dedicate one extender's connections to those areas and to ignore the weaker signals from the other one.

Got the Netgear AC1200 Extender and it works perfectly! Can now get wifi signal through out entire house, outside of house in yard, and in attached garage. Really like it is small enough to not be very noticeable while plugged in wall. Very easy to install and begin using. Great product for the price. Would recommend to others.

The only problem I had was for it to give it an IP address so a friend who checked my install forced one. This might be something I did wrong in the process. I was able to use this extender to bypass the duct work in the way and get great signal to my one deadspot bedroom. The only issue was I was not able to run dual band with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz at the same time. Initially the result was meh - medium or low signal strength, and slow download speeds - so just *yesterday* I decided to order a mesh system. However, last night I played with the location of the extender (again and found a spot which has improved the signal strength to strong and increased our speed from 4.2 down to slight over 8.0 down. 8.0 down is sufficient for our needs, two adults using four total devices for streaming and browsing. I am going to wait a week to confirm this result is stable before returning the mesh system (which hasn't even been delivered yet!)

Extender works great, but the set up was involved. Every device must be reset to the new extended network. Took me 2-3 hours to figure out the setup. Mind you I am a 67 year old grandma. That being said we have used it for a week with multiple devices and love this gadget. It has solved our poor wifi signal.

However, if it is not defective, then this would get one-star. I compromised with a 3 in case. For a security camera, reliability is very important. When working it is very good!

I would give the hardware a rating of 4 and the firmware a rating of 0. I tried 4 different Netgear firmware versions, and it performed poorly with all of them. (See my previous 1-star ratings as NotAHappyUser and NotAHappyUserStill.) Replacing Netgear firmware with OpenWRT was easy to do (finding the right instructions and version takes a bit of digging, though) and ended up taking me less time to install and learn how to set up & use than the *hours* I wasted trying to get this to work with Netgear firmware. I found the OpenWRT UI straightforward and its default configuration is probably good for most people. You might need to be more experienced than your average user to modify its configuration.

I said I would have to get an OK from my wife who would be home until later. He told me if she did not approve he would remove the software. It doesn’t have a huge range but it gave my network the boost it needed to reach out to the garage. I’ve found updating it through the website to be extremely difficult though, borderline impossible on my phone…I had to transition to my laptop and even then I had to repeatedly clear my browsers cache to access the updates.

The relatively compact design helps with not taking up too much wall space and leaves the other outlet slot open, which is great. There was not a single thing I found to be wrong or broken on my product. Just remember: wifi extenders do not help with increasing your internet speeds. This helps with your computer or device not being able to detect your home wifi or for when it barely connects. The download speeds will remain the same. If you are looking for increased download speed, check your system’s hardware and consider a wifi adapter or mesh system if you have the money.

I tried a network extender years ago with no success but that was not the case here. I'm honestly so surprised at how well it works and how FAST everything is. Also the past 2 springs it has attracted ants from outside the wall to nest in it. I had to cover it in mint to shoo them away. No lie, i have pictures. Im guessing it has something to do with the frequency.

My only issue with it is, instead of the device meshing with my existing home network, it creates additional SSIDs. Mesh routing systems have the ability to incorporate different routers on a single SSID whereas this extender creates a new network name. This is fine for devices that have the ability to smart switch between SSID with the strongest connection, but not all devices have that luxury. I would like to see an extender that can mesh with your home network under a single SSID. Overall I am very pleased with the device which is why I gave it a 4 star rating!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drops often, signal strength location sensitive Three problems on firmware V1.0.0.54_1.0.34: - Dropped connection between laptop and extender regularly (light on the extender turning from green to red, once per day at least. - Intermittent traffic - on Windows 10, in Task Manager Performance, could see that a few seconds normal traffic, a few seconds 0. - Signal strength is very location sensitive. I live in a house with common construction for this part of central North America (wood frame and drwall), so no concrete or steel structure for the signal to go through. Maybe the steel ventilation ductwork interferes in places. There is a huge difference in the signal strength and connection reliability (my previous two comments) depending on where I site this extender. I even resorted to plugging it into an extension cord and moving it around a room a couple of feet at a time, without moving my laptop (or router.) Some spots had better signal strength and fewer drops than others, but none was trouble free. I've never seen another wifi device so sensitive to location. I worked with support, who gave a few ideas, but nothing helped. I stopped using it and went back to using my wifi router which worked much better, but I got an email recently that there is new firmware. I just loaded firmware V1.0.0.64_1.0.39 (Oct 18, 2021) and will try again. I will comment again if there is any improvement.

Both devices are within 30ft of the main wireless router, and separated by multiple walls or ceiling/floor. Installing the NetGear Wireless Extender at a mid point has boosted the wireless signal from two bars to now a solid five bars. This has allowed the TV to now stream 4K video and the printer to print faster and without timing out from loss of signal.

Thus, I had to go through the browser and ended up speaking with someone, as I couldn't figure it out. Language was definitely a barrier, but we pushed on through to the other side!

The cost to ship it back via UPS was almost $17 which is about 2/3 the cost of the unit in the first place. Hopefully, the replacement will be of better quality.

Noticed that after several months of working normally it began progressively overheating and disconnecting until it wouldn't stay connected at all. Setting it up was also an issue because you could not connect to it from the main network that it was extending. You can only configure it by connecting to the device itself.

When they do allow a connection, mostly to the 2.4g side, it will drop without any foreseeable reason. Also, the download speed on the EX6120 is slower than the older Netgear extenders installed. I have update the firmware on the extender and also checked for updates for multiple laptops used.

Granted I don't have the best PC components in the world but I was able to run PubG, Apex, and Rocket League with ZERO lag or packet loss. The setup was a little tedious, I was having issues getting onto the website but I manually enter the IP for the extender and it worked smoothly after that. 10/10 would recommend!!

They helped me set it up. I'm now able to get a strong signal so I don't have to use all my Data while I'm at home. However, couple of things, the unit itself get very hot plus I had to reset it couple of times because the light, on the unit, it turns amber color instead of green which it indicates no reception. The price is low and the instructions were excellent. This I had up in less that an hour being careful to follow the instructions as given.

After several important work calls kept getting dropped due to poor connectivity, I decided to purchase the range extender. So glad I did. 100% works! Highly recommend. Very easy to set up.

Setting up went smooth and indicators show that 1- It's set up and connected to my WiFi, and 2- My device is connected to the extender. When I connect my cellphone or laptop to extender, it literally gives me Zero speed. After a month of battling everyday, I decided to just trash it. So disappointed!!

The instructions included were not accurate, when I spoke to their tech support they required that Installed a third party remote desktop software tool to access my computer and then tried to convince me that I had a trojan virus attacking my wifi network and preventing the router installation from working. Then friend to upsell me into buying their firewall protection software. I refused and when I disconnected from the remote desktop connection all issues they were claiming to be occuring disappeared. I ran firewall tests, antivirus scans

Now that is is connect it takes multiple tries for every device to establish initial connection (some never do). This seems to be speed of communication between the wifi hub and the extender. Once connected it seems pretty good, but many devices do not have the 'patience' to await communication between the extender and the hub.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Extender - easy to setup I needed to extend my Frontier FIOs Wireless network because the Frontier FIOs Router is terrible at keeping more than 3 devices connected at a time - we have 2 printers, a Rpku and our two cell phones (7 total - the Frontier router drops 45 of them all the time. This Netgear AC1200 keeps all seven online all the time. It was also the easiest wireless device I have ever setup - took fewer than 5 minutes form unboxing to attaching to my network and fewer than 5 minutes more to connect all of our devices. I would highly recommend this extender to anyone.

The signal in the rom I set up for learning was weak and the camera I set up to monitor the child and room kept losing the wireless connection. This device was easy to set up and the signal in the room is nearly as good as the signal in the room with the wireless router. Plugging the camera directly into the device completely resolved the issue with the camera losing connection because it is now just as good as a direct wired connection I am pleased with it and would buy this device again.

Before the extender I was getting about 17 to 24 down on my ps4. I have Comcast and should be getting 100 down. After I installed the extender it shot up drastically to around 60 down. I rarely experience lag or latency problems.

Extender shows up as available network option but devices can never function on that network. Fast forward to getting a new router. Could no longer access the webpage to link the extender to the wifi, so it promptly went into the trash once the recording to reach customer service said I had to pay for assistance. Junk with a side of extra junk. I’ll just move my router around like I’ve been doing.

The only challenge was the initial configuration kept on timing out when it was writing the configuration to the device. The only way to recover was to reset the device and start over.

I tried an internet speed test after getting it all set up and connecting my laptop to it and I got like 1 mbps. But I connected it to the LAN ethernet port near my office and set it up as an access point and it worked like a charm, now I'm getting around 90 - 100 mbps! And it's really consistent. Hasn't dropped a connection yet! Great for my second story home office!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great with good internet service Our extender is great, but the internet company we use is ok so the extender is only as reliable as the internet...once I direct connected the extender to the router and made it a hot spot, it’s been working amazingly. (This of course means I have a cord running from the basement up to the router. all in all it’s been helpful in aiding with all our virtual needs.

After installing a Ring Doorbell and Ring Spotlight Cam I found that I needed a WiFi boost for both to function properly. After installing the Netgear AC1200 extender both pieces of Ring equipment worked properly. The dBd signal for both went from a marginal signal strength of about 70 down to an excellent signal strength of about 48.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cut Cable Cord Too Added the range extender after purchasing the AC1200 modem. I needed to replace the Cox modem we had when I finally decided to cut the cable cord. I had been using their Cisco Docsis 3.0 modem coupled with a Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200 router. I have replaced the router with a Nighthawk AX8 also. Happy so far and should be much easier to add additional smart devices to our home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great device Plugged it in and followed the instructions and soon I had a WiFi range larger than before. The setup took a little bit to workout, but not too hard. Since my router is on one end if he House I really needed an extension to reach the other side of the house on the second floor. The extender is about in the middle of the house and I have much better WiFi range.

It boosted the signal so I could install HD IP Cameras on the two floors above the router. The Fast Lane technology could not be used because I had to fix the router signal to 2.4 GHz in order for the wireless cameras to work. Set-up instructions could have been a little easier...

Does not connect via WPS despite numerous attempts so resorted to connecting with Web Browser setup. Lo and behold the page shown in the Quick Start guide does not cover this model. Even tried factory reset...still no good. What a waste of time and money. So unless you are prepared to pay top dollar (or in my case GBP for top of the line items don't bother! In addition, when completing a review why do you ask for someone's gender or age? That is tantamount to discrimination as could presume incompetence by being older and as to gender what purpose does that serve?

I bought one several years ago and have been delighted with the outstanding connection it has provided for my office which is located on the opposite side of the house from the router. I have loaded the 4th firmware since I bought this - the one that came with the device, and updates to V1.0.0.54, V1.0.0.64 and now V1.0.0.66. The same problems I had with previous firmware versions are still here, and discovered more. I've worked with this enough that I suspect buggy firmware, possibly problems with the browser interface, and that I might have defective hardware. My extender is out: - out of warranty - out of support - out of the house on its way to e-waste recycling Netgear Consumer Affairs: there is no need to respond to this post suggesting I go through the troubleshooting link and contact support. I've done both, along with trying many other things to resolve the problems. Nothing has helped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works after some work Got this to extend wifi into the black hole that is the Breezeway. Wps didn't work but thats because spectrum stopped using wps. Went through the manual setup and connected both the 5g and 2.4g. Got to the part where you connect another device to the extended wifi and it said no internet for the 5g but connected to the 2.4g. Talked to support for an hour and they said I may need to return it because it was defective. I tried one more time, but now I only extended the 5g. It works great now. Still don't know why it doesn't work with the dual band. Would recommend if you know how to work with electronics.
