Featuring autofocus tech, this Logitech Webcam C925e web camera broadcasts crisp videos. It has a glass lens with a 78-degree diagonal field of view for capturing multiple people easily. The lens has a built-in privacy shutter for security. With a digital zoom capability of up to 1.2x, the webcam simplifies framing. The Logitech C925e Full HD webcam supports the H.264 video codec with scalable video coding and UVC 1.1 encoding to minimize buffering during conference calls. I bought this to replace an excellent camera from the same manufacturer that still works 100 times better than this unit but has no updates available for Windows 11. None of the automated functions worked ever. the manual adjustments never achieved a crisp focus or truly balanced contrast. The color rendition was off and not adjustable. Contacted the manufacturer for support and received no response. Have returned the unit.

Then with COVID-19, I was suddenly working from home - and it worked well for those Zoom calls. [I couldn't convince them to hold them in Red Eye Redemption. ;) ] Now we are back in the office, socially distanced, but I ended up ordering about 6 of them for the attorneys I work for - and they have enjoyed having them for their Zoom calls and I have heard no complaints from any of them.

Item is pretty useless without it as the Dell computer I have also lacks sound. So I added speakers, but still the webcam and speakers don't work together to so that it can be used on a basic zoom call.

However, be sure to go to the Logitech site to download better controls for the cam. The controls allow you to adjust color, zoom range, etc. For those that leave the webcam plugged in there is a slide shade that covers the camera lens. I unplug when not using it.

The top clip like part covers the top 1cm of screen which is annoying on top of a very rigid fit with minimal flexibility. I the design looks like it should be able to swivel and rotate but it does not.

I did have one occasion that the mic dropped its connection and I had to remove/replace the USB cable. But otherwise, it has been perfect. Very crisp image. Software installed without any effort.

I find in general that it's difficult to gauge image quality from the driver. In general, the default settings appear to be over exposed. It's better than the image I was getting from my built in webcam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little webcam once I realized that it had a little screen blocker for the lense I was totally happy with my purchase. You can slide it closed from the top and it covers the lense and then slide it open when you want to use it. I didn't realize it was there at first (oops but now that I've figured it out (my first webcam) I am thrilled and ever so happy that it has this lense blocker. I'm very pleased with the quality.
