Rated 5 out of 5 by from Robust case, but fit could be better I like that the Fre case is strong and expect it to protect my iphone 7 from drops, but don't trust that it would be watertight because at the bottom left, the two pieces of plastic don't fit properly and split away from one another. This compares to a seamless, tight fit elsewhere on the case. For the price and the waterproof claims, it should fit better.

I work in a greenhouse, so there is a high risk of water damaging my phone, not to mention dirt and grit, but I have always protected my investment with GENUINE Lifeproof Waterproof cases. They have never let me down. I once unknowingly purchased a fake and it was so obvious in its total lack of performance. The volume, ringer on/off and lock buttons didn’t work with the case on and phone calls were impossible because the caller couldn’t hear me. I have never been disappointed in GENUINE Lifeproof cases and will continue to be a loyal customer. Expensive, YES, but we’ll worth the money.

There are a couple things that I don't like, the battery door open really easily, just pulling it out of my pocket and it opens up. and there was some dust left in the case I'm guessing from casting but I had to use air to get it out. Other than that it saving my phone from the elements.

I can not get my ringer button on the side of the I-Phone 7 to work with the case and seems like people are having a hard time hearing me talk. They say it sounds like I am muffled. Hopefully this is not an ongoing issue with other models, because you should expect better giving the price point LIFEPROOF has on this case.

I took my iPhone cliff jumping in Lake Superior and came out on the other side with great video and no damage to my phone. I am a tradesman and outdoor adventure professional. I put my case to the test everyday and have been nothing but satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyday use Overall I liked the case. Troubles I had were with pushing buttons. It didn't like my fingerprint, so after several tries, I would just use the lock code. Also the side button was hard to toggle up and down to turn the ringer sound off and on.

I noticed immediately upon putting the case on the phone that the charging port cover does not latch as tightly as my previous Fré case did. I will take the phone out of my pocket and the cover will be open. While using my phone I often rest my pinky under to hold the phone and with very little pressure on the back of the hinge the port cover will open. The customer service representative I spoke to was great and will send a replacement as soon as they have replacement units available. I hope this will be fixed on the replacement and that this is not a design flaw. Other than that I love the case. However I would not use it in water due to this issue

After about a year or so the plastic cover glue releases from the case from constant use. Life proof seems to be aware of this as they have always replaced case for free less a small shipping fee.

It doesn’t add the bulk other cases add, but still affords a great deal of protection - handy for working on a farm.

They work well protecting the phone but the one issue that I have is the plastic cover over the home key is so thin or fragile that it ends up tearing away and then the unit is no longer water proof I wish they could fix that issue

However, this case that I received this time appears to not want to close the gap completely on the left side near the bottom. It doesn't appear to be actually open but there is a small gap and the bottom half of the case protrudes ever so slightly to the left so that it doesn't feel seamless. That is my first and only complaint about these cases.

Only case I’ve used is lifeproof. Best cases on the market. So I was disappointed when I received my new iPhone 8 case and it was missing pieces and I couldn’t use my lifeproof as it was intended until. It took awhile for my first case to arrive to me which I was surprised. My precious cases were sent to me in days. Then the case was broken so I had to wait another week and a half for replacement case. Just wasn’t happy to receive a broken case from the beginning for how much I paid for the case. Other than that the case is amazing. I love lifeproof and will continue to promote their cases. Also, I wish they had the same colors for the 7 as they do 8. I love the second wind grey color. I settled for drop in color. I don’t like the lime green accent color. There should be a custom options for these cases. Otter box has that option. Just a thought.

Every iPhone we’ve bought has went from the box straight into a lifeproof case. Needless to say we really like these cases. They’re tough, waterproof, and the best part is the warranty. You call them or email them the serial number on your case, tell them the problem, 5 bucks later for shipping, and your replacement unit is in it’s way to you. Now these cases can stand some abuse, drops, falls, things of that nature. They’re not crush proof, and that would be why I’m giving 4 stars. Other than that, the customer service is exceptional, and the product is pretty good.

I usually hate the way my phone looks in a case because I don’t like the bulk of the case, but this is almost as thin as the phone. Adds almost no weight to the phone. Hopefully it stands up for my first drop.

The size is small, and even though the IPhone 8 is water resistant, water proof is better One suggestion, I called to see if IPhone 8 would fit in belt clip. I was told no. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the Best! There is no better case. I’ve been using Lifeproof Cases for the last five years on three different iPhones. I’ve not had a better, more secure case. I’m very hard on phones. I’m a comtractor who lives on a boat. My phones are dropped and exposed to dust and water on a daily basis. They have gone swimming three times. This gets to be very expensive considering the cost of phones these days. The last time my phone took a dive it was at the bottom of the marina for two days before I could get a diver to retrieve it. I was expecting the worst. When he brought it up and set it on the dock, and the security pad was lit up, I was releved beyond words. That phone was only two weeks old. That was my first Lifeproof case. The previous phone went skinny dipping and didn’t survive. Since then every phone gets a new Lifeproof Case. The latest Lifeproof FRE, for my new iPhone 8 is the best so far. Love the lime green highlight around it. This latest version has improved a little. The case snaps together a little more securely than the previous versions and with the change in the iPhone 8, where there is no longer a headphone plug, you don’t need the little adapter that use to come with the case. All the features of the case are great! However, the best thing you get with the Lifeproof products is there Customer Service. It is exceptional! They are always very prompt and helpful. They have replaced two cases for me due to wear and tear on my part. (I carry my Phones in my back jeans pocket. This causes the case to wear thin on a couple edges. I once broke the little cover that snaps over the charging port. Considering that I weigh 230 lbs. and drive sitting on the phone most of the time, I really can’t blame the case. And yet Lifeproof has always very happily just sent me a brand new case. There is no better case and certainly no better Customer Service. Thank you Lifeproof! I refer you often. UPDATE: In completing this survey, after this initial comment area, the survey asks you to share what type of activities you use the case for. I checked boating but they forgot to include that little forgotten box called WORK! So for me, it’s Boating and WORK! I don’t have time for those other recreational activities. Besides, I’m too old and fat! Thank you again Lifeproof!

I can hear the people I’m talking to but they have a very difficult time hearing me. I’ve made sure nothing is blocking the microphone and even turned off the noise cancellation settings but people still say that it sounds like I’m talking through a very long tunnel and it’s causing a buzzing sound whenever I do talk. As soon as I remove the case the problem immediately goes away so it has nothing to do with my cell service. I do like the color, that’s really the only positive thing I can say about it right now.

If I didn’t have the case the phone would be wrecked, scratched and have a broken screen like by sons phones who don’t have cases. Also the warranty on these cases is brilliant send an email request to the company and a new case is dispatched promptly. You couldn’t ask for more from a phone case

I can shove it in my dirtbike boot and go ride, keep it in my jacket when I snowboard, and shoot videos of people wakeboarding and never worry about it getting wet. I've dropped it hundreds of times, thrown it across a room, and dropped it in the water without worrying too much. It's a great phone case. Saved my butt multiple times.

Since I started using the water proof Lifeproof Fre, I haven't lost any phones from water or drop damage and have save my phone multiple time. I do recommend testing their water tight integrity once a year. One time I discovered the case was letting moisture creep in. I contacted Lifeproof and they replaced it right away. I will admit the price is on the high side but it cheaper than spending money on a new phone. Overall I think it a great product and highly recommend it.

I drop my phone a lot but because of my lifeproof it has never been damaged. I had my last iPhone for 2.5 years before I upgraded and sold it for top dollar since it had little to no damage due to always being in the case. Life saver!

But, the package wasn’t pristine, the little piece to open the case was missing and after getting the phone in the case, noticed a scratch on the screen cover. I desperately needed the case and just couldn’t deal with changing it. Perhaps there’ll be another option when this case goes as they really don’t last more than 18 mos.

I’ve also noticed that the screen plastic shows EVERY bit of grease and I’m constantly cleaning it.

Home button and off/on ringer buttons are difficult to operate. It is not the iphone. It works fine. It is the case. I have taken it off twice and manipulated the on /off switch but it is still very difficult. I don’t know what the solution is for the home button it works but only after several attempts I may just have to go to another case

I have bought life proof before and it’s great, and the case looks like it’s just as good as the last, but as a girl, unless you want pink there are no choices... I got the grey and green one and the grey is a greenish grey, not a plain grey color like I thought. Please add more color choices like plain black or plain grey so anyone can use them and be happy. Once you have a Lifeproof case you can never NOT have one because you get so used to the protection they provide. I work at a ski resort and have dropped my phone (with Lifeproof Case on the snow many, many times. My husband and I are constantly telling people how bomb proof these cases are and will throw our phones on gasp! cement to prove our point! I love these cases! My favorite part about my recent purchase is the color. The last 6 fre cases were not that attractive so I was very happy to see the lavender case for the 7/8 come out. I will not ever use any other case than Lifeproof!

I used it for a week then discontinued using it because I had difficulty pressing the buttons. I think on mine the plastic was just a little too thick. Turning it on/off was painful on the fingers having to press in so hard. Being it is waterproof people will take it out in the water. It would be helpful if you installed a belt hook or a chain around the neck to keep from losing it when the canoe overturns, as is likely to happen. (I watch a lot of Youtube, lotsa phones end up at the bottom of the river).

And Lifeproof as maintained the little hook that allows me to put a “leash” on my phone. Now I don’t drop it as much, like I used to, when I would lean over our pool as I was cleaning the skimmers, etc. Thanks Lifeproof for leaving the little “hook” in place. Now if you just made a white color case, like I used to have.

Main complaint is the bottom flap that protects the charge port is really loose. I did not realize this is not normal until looking at a friends LifeProof Case. I am not confident mine would hold up in a wet situation. For having spent nearly $90 its rather disappointing.

They have taken me from the streets of America to Europe, Caribbean, Mexico, South America, the Amazon Jungle, and even the Galápagos Islands. They have been thru thick and thin and have protected my devices from one series to the next. When I upgrade a device, I hand it down to a family member and it is nearly the same as to how it came out of the box when originally purchased. Never had an issue with a case under use and their customer service and warranty program is second to none. Thank you LifeProof, you have a customer for life.

I was looking everywhere for my phone. When I took the clothes out of my dryer -- there it was! Did not even quit working--all the calls I had made to find it were right there on the screen. It has somerhing to do with the vacuüm of the microphone speakers. I recieved an instruction e-mail from lifeproof but even then I couldn’t get it to work proparly. :( Now I bougt the new NEXT for €69,99. This is working better but it’s big and has no screenprotector. Not ideal.. After using lifeproof for over 5-6 cases the first time I was disappointed.

I just got a new case because I got a new phone, otherwise I’d still be using my old one. Would recommend Lifeproof to everyone if I could. One more thing - they stick behind their warranty! But since I had the lifeproof case on it saved my phone from cracking. And going out for a bike ride or jog, knowing if your phone falls out that it will be fine, and now I can jog in the rain, because my phone won’t short circuit.

I’ve had to open my new case at least 4 times now to turn the volume on and now it doesn’t seem to click on properly. I’m afraid to put it in the water now.

I bought this one before I even bought my phone to make sure my phone was protected. It does not fit as nicely on the iPhone 8 as it did on the iPhone 6. The bottom is a bit looser, probably bc of the angle on it, and I hear a sound every time I hit the space button, like there is a slight gap btwn the phone and the screen of the case. It is driving me slightly batty. I have opened the case a couple times to make sure the phone is correctly installed, and it is. The case for the iPhone 6 was the the same size all the way around. The case for the iPhone 8 has a slight tilt at the end, probably to accommodate the speakers? I think that is causing the spacing issue.

I use my phone on the farm so sometimes it is exposed to moisture so I need it to be water and dust proof. The clip that is opened to charge the phone is where it leaks. Clip doesn’t close tight enough I don’t think. Thanks

This model is lightweight and thin, yet maintains the protective integrity of a sturdy case. Aside from its function, it is super cute. The only downside is that the volume and on/off buttons can be a little bit difficult to push in, but I’m sure it will get easier as time goes on.

The screen protector has not scratched with is the main problem with Fre cases in the past. I use them in harsh and often dirty environments and the corners have worn through in the past. I see they have made the tabs that are on the edges at the switches wider which should help prevent wear through at the switches that in the past cases allowed dirt in

Finally called to get one sent and they charged me another 50-60 dollars. When I received it, the color did not match the photo. I’ve paid four times more than I’ve ever spend on a phone case and it feels so much less secure than the previous one I used.

I’ve just replaced the one on my iPhone it’s lasted just over a year but does get an unusual amount of abuse. It has saved my phone from many potential catastrophic events from being ran over by a tractor to being bailed in a round bailer and also being left in a water trough overnight (it must have fallen out of my pocket and that where I found it). My phone looks like it’s brand new under the case. 100% worth the money.

I might say the only con is that the case does not actually seem to last the life of the phone, as it inevitably breaks in some way, but the company’s warranty program is amazing and they definitely stand by the “lifeproof” claim. I would definitely recommend. When the case is in perfect working order it is completely submersible in water and I have taken many pics in the ocean etc.

Unfortunately mine never make it more than a year. Every case I’ve purchased has the same problem. The ring/silent switch gets a tear in it. No more water proof when this happens. My last case didn’t even make it a year. This is aggravating. Unfortunately their are no comparable brands to replace it with as of now.

Lighter and more attractive than other non-destructible cases at the time. I am rough on things and that phone survived all imaginable misadventures. So of course when I purchased the iPhone 8, I returned to life proof. Frustratingly, I had great trouble getting the case on my phone and had to leave it open for a few weeks. Finally using a tool it closed. The volume buttons are also stiff and frequently I can’t get them to work. I’ve considered returning the case but I’m hoping this will correct itself over time. I do feel my phone is fully protected - my first priority - but I may try another brand in the future.

As a welder my iPhone is victim to horrendous conditions. Over the “life” of my device, I’ve had to replace my life proof case a number of time. If there was a way to extend the use of the case eg the rubber seal & outer plastic that would make the product absolutely amazing. To close, there isn’t a iPhone case on market that comes close. To my liking, it has less bulk and friction so it goes in and out of my pocket so much easier. It is a harder case with much less rubber so it doesn't effect my latex allergy like other cases .

When I go on vacation my phone is in the water with me while swimming and taking videos! One of my favorite things to do in the summer is read a book while in the water cooling off.....with this case I can! And I love it!! While I just bought this case for my iPhone 8 I just got, I do plan to use it underwater when cruising in Mexico in April and again this summer on the beach!

Protects expense iPhone 8 great. Survives drops from waist high onto concrete and underwater in pools and lakes. One quirp - would like to see more recyclable packaging. Purchased belt clip to go with new case and none of the plastic in the package was stamped with a recycling code. Please use packaging that can be recycled to limit landfill use.

When I got my iPhone 8 for Christmas, I immediately ordered a Lifeproof case for it. For anyone who doesn't believe, here's a story that might convince you: Last fall, my husband was at a construction site and had left his phone on the back of his truck. It was only after he was back at his office for several hours that he realized he didn't have his phone. He knew it had probably fallen off his truck when he left the work site, but two searches turned up nothing. Find My iPhone confirmed that the phone was still at the site, but we couldn't find it. More than 24 hours later, he searched again and found his phone in a mud puddle. The site was on top of a hill and temps were probably in the teens or twenties that night. HOWEVER, the Lifeproof case had kept the phone dry and protected. The case itself was easily cleaned. You would never know it had sat in a mud puddle overnight. This is why there was no question that my new case would also be a Lifeproof.

I’m absolutely happy with my case and how it works! I water tested it prior to install so if I care to expose my phone to the elements I can do so without worry. On a previous case of the same style I had issues with the sounds being muffled - everyone I spoke with on the phone said it sounded like I was in a tunnel and they couldn’t hear me well, and the sound I heard was tinny - that has been corrected with this new model and I’m very pleased. I 100% would purchase another and would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bonzai Blue Iphone 8 This is my first lifeproof case, ever. I've broken at least 1 screen on every phone I've purchased so I have high hopes for this. The fit, finish and design is A+. The only 'complaint' I have is regarding the clear film over the home button, it sticks only in spots and is unattractive but obviously necessary, I may just cut out the whole front screen film and get rid of the waterproof protection. The blue in your guy's photo's is also deeper than the actual blue of the case just an FYI. I don't mind just something I wasn't expecting.

While I'm sure the phone itself is intact I feel for the amount of money I spent on the case, the case should still look good after a week. My second complaint it how the screen feels. Maybe I misread the discription but the case covering is plastic (which if I did not already have protective glass on my phone I don't think it would protect the screen) and it feels weird when using my phone. Over all I feel that this case costs far more than it is worth.

I had a very difficult time touching icons & back buttons on the corners of the screen because of it's design! Very Frustrating! My New Lifeproof FRE has full screen access! Love it!!!

The only reason it's not 5 stars is cuz I can already tell this teal one is going to get REAL dirty looking. I didn't have that issue with the black one but my only issue with the black one was that the power button got wore down to nothing after a year. So really I'll take that any day over breaking my screen 100 times or leaving it in the toilet for 10 minutes and ruining it (yes, I've done that). I love it!

Just upgraded to iPhone8, waited for 6 weeks for new Lifeproof to be released, but now I wonder if it was just color I was waiting for and not redesign specifically for the 8. Buttons don’t work well nor does thumbprint access. Have tried resetting in case with no real improvement. Trying to decide if it’s worth the hassle to have more phone protection.

Especially against drops & dust in my case. The best case out there even if the price is higher. The Fre is the best in my opinion because it completely protects your phone yet allows you to have full capability.

After I put my phone through the laundry and took it out when I heard the "thump, thump, thump" in the dryer and my phone was in perfect working order, I decided not to buy any other kind of case. It has since become a part of my lifestyle: when I cook, I look up recipes on my phone and get dough, oil, and food all over my phone. When I'm done, I simply wash it in the sink. Sure, most phones are water resistant these days, but very few people trust that enough to listen to music in the shower with their phone, like you can with a Lifeproof case.

Only sign of damage was a few small scratches on front clear face and tire track signs on the back. Thanks for a great case!

I really wanted something professional and monochrome that I can take to the office, and this case isn't it. It does fit well on my iPhone 8, and the silent mode toggle works slightly better than previous models. As with all Fre cases I've had, I'm confident this case will protect my phone against all of the elements of the city and all of my incidental drops onto the sidewalk, as well as any adventures I take into the mountains to hike. .

Completely dust and waterproof, a bit of extra protection as the phones already waterproof.Its survived a couple of inside drops so far too. Bad bits: It came with a few marks on it, the back of the case had a little slice/scratch and the front had a crease at the edge of the screen, I thought it would disappear with time but still there. The case does muffle a bit of the sound of the phone but not too bad. Overall a good case that does what you need, looks ok, a little bit pricey though.

So when I purchased the iPhone 8+, I knew exactly what case I would be pairing with my new phone, however, I’ve got the new case, it feels cheaper. Rushed to be made. Just has a cheap plastic feel about it. The buttons down the side, you need to have some serious power in your fingers to turn up your phone or lock it. The middle button now doesn’t work sometimes at all, making my phone feel unresponsive! Part of my screen is already lifting away from my phone so I have to smash my thumb down to get anything pressed. I’ve given the case 3 stars after all that, because I’m still hoping that it’ll do the job it done for my 5s and keep it in great condition. If there was another case that was 360 degree protection I would buy that instead, this case isn’t worth the £80 price tag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clumsy no longer an issue I have a history of treating my phones roughly. About a year ago, I thought I’d treat myself to a nice phone. First mistake. I’ve had to replace the screen not once, not twice but three times. First time was an accumulation of tumbles. Second, my phone came out of my pocket onto a sealed road while biking down a hill at 40kph. Third, I ran it over. After running it over, I told myself I had to get a lifeproof case or I had to get a brick phone. Not only does this case protect my phone in the event of my clumsiness, I’m fairly sure it casts a protective spell as I haven’t done anything dumb with it since getting this case. So big thumbs up for that.

I imagined that I would have problems with texting or with the screen as the screen cover would interfere with the functionality. It does not -it works just fine. I also only like a silicon or rubbery feeling case for the fact that I don’t like smooth or slippery feeling cases as I drop my phone more often. However, this case is not slippery at all. I am pleasantly surprised at how much I love this case. The colors are great too!

I live in scenic and rugged Newfoundland and wouldn’t go adventuring on land or water without this case! It’s saved my phone more times than I can count!! The only small thing is, I purchased the iPhone 7 Fre case (Bonzai color) thinking it was the teal color pictured on the website. When it arrived it was more navy blue/bright blue rather than the colors on the website. It doesn’t change the quality at all, just wanted buyers to know in advance. I phoned their customer service line to let them know about the small difference and the lovely Jon was very friendly and helpful in listening to my feedback and helped solve my concern. I would recommend Life Proof to anyone who drops their phone tons of times a day, who loves being worry free about taking their phone anywhere on land or at sea (I’ve even scooped my phone out of the ocean with a fishing net - STILL PERFECT!), who loves taking photos in or under water, in mud or in snowstorms! I’ve never dealt with a company that valued customer service more than LIFEPROOF!!

It was somewhat difficult for me to close on my cell after I had done the water test - but I don’t believe that had anything to do with it! My wrist aren’t the strongest, but I was eventually able get it closed by covering it up with a blanket, & applying pressure with my foot gently. It worked great! This is not my 1st case & it won’t be my last. My previous cell I had for 4yrs n the case was great for years & im hard on my cases. Yes it eventually began to show signs of aging n use. But it was well worth it! Looking forward to enjoying my new case. Love everything about it except the buttons are hard to push through the case. & I would imange even people with no joint pain issues would have difficulty. The good news is with my cell u can adjust most things with on screen buttons.

It can’t read my fingerprint through the thin plastic over the home button. Other than that it’s great and a fun color. This Lifestyle Fre iPhone case however has a price tag above its station. Saw the case advertised in a building supplies brochure so believed it would be a good tough case. The case itself seems tough enough but the plastic screen that protects my phone screen is very scratched after two days of quite careful use. Also buttons not easy to press and finger print recognition rarely works. Disappointing

The cases have kept my iPhones looking pristine, thus maximizing its trade-in value. With my Lifeproof case, I can carry my phone and not have to worry about damage if I accidentally drop it (which I do from time to time even with being careful. I don't know how people have iPhones without a Lifeproof case. My only critique is that I wish the black/gray option was available this year. I went with the green stripe, but would prefer gray OR hot pink would be rad! Thank you, Lifeproof, for the amazing quality case and even more amazing customer service and warranty. I tell all my friends and colleagues about how good my case is. My husband introduced me to Lifeproof and he is also a lifetime customer!

The case itself is rugged and I am never worried about dropping my phone (which I can do a lot). However, the waterproof feature isn't always great. It works at first, but after some months, loses it's waterproof abilities. It helps now that my current phone is water resistant (lost last phone when had to jump in water for rescue and phone in lifeproof case was in my pocket), but I do end up having to buy a new case every 1-1 1/2 (always just after warrenty go figure!).

My wife has also had a 4s and now an SE with Lifeproof cases. We each have a LifeProof Lifejacket and I have a LifeProof case for my iPad. Any time there was been an issue with any of these cases the customer service crew quickly made it right. The Fre case is perfect for my iPhone 8. It is sleek and fits the iPhone without adding excess bulk. I carry my phone while fishing in coastal waters to photograph my catches and to provide backup communication and navigation capabilities for my boat and I know it will protect my iPhone as have my other Lifeproof products.

I complained and the excellent Life proof customer provided me a replacement in short order. The replacement is a little better but can come undone in my pocket. I work in a harsh outdoor environment and my confidence in this product is low. Previous cases from iphone4 upwards have been brilliant and I’m assuming there is a drop off in quality. I notice if I run my finger along the hinged flap it appears a little proud compared to my 12 month old iPhone 7 case which has a crisp locking device. I know that it’s the same case but the new ones are just not as positive on closing.

The nuud I previously had had been replaced in warranty several times because of faulty latches, creaking etc. This case fits like a glove. No creaking, no leaks just full on protection.

The sound from the phone when inside the cover was really poor and muffled so much so that I ended up buying a cheaper case which eliminated the problem. I have the cover back in the box and ready to return.

Because I bought four, and not one repair for those of us who actually used our cases without fault. The nonconformer replaced his screens at least three times over the two years of owning the phone. Now, not as pleased with the quality of the screen cover... it scratched within the first five minutes of use. I can't afford to replace with each scratch and it's quite annoying as the line goes down the center of the front screen. Overall, I love the product, would just like to see a more durable front screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case for the 1st year I previously had the same lifeproof case for iphone 6 and it was completely worn around the edges after about a year. I hope that Lifeproof has fixed that with this version of the case but skeptical. High premium for a waterproof case that won't be so waterproof after 12 months... Also, the button for the silence works initially but quickly wears out so ended up using the "accessibility" iphone feature where you can turn your phone's ringer off on screen instead of using the button. Other than that, slick design though it does make your phone a little more bulky. Worth the protection though (except waterproof beyond the 1st year). Look forward to seeing how Lifeproof's case evolves to address these challenges.

Also the home button is very hard to activate. I thought after using my case for a week these issues might have resolved themselves but they have not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grand Canyon and beyond! I didn't hesitate to bring my phone down the Grand Canyon, knowing it was protected by a LifeProof case. Unfortunately, the phone went for a long swim when we flipped our boat in Crystal Rapid, and some water leaked into my Fre case (though luckily not enough to destroy the phone). The folks at LifeProof were awesome when going through the warranty process, and replacing my case was a breeze. I upgraded my phone this year and bought the same case - it's bomber water/dirt/snow proof and IF anything happens the LifeProof customer service employees are a pleasure to deal with. I have never written a review before and I swear I'm not paid/sponsored - just had a great experience :)

This reduces the quality of the sound the caller hears. I’m going to have to cut holes in mine to make it work properly.

I can’t afford to be without a case in case I break it and none of the stores have this color so I just kept it, but for almost a $100 that’s not fair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Minimal testing so far... I bought this case (rather than one of the more expensive options against my better judgement. I read countless reviews for this case as well as other LifeProof cases and for some reason still went with this one. If you are looking for a seamless experience, I do not recommend this case. Remember the first plastic screen protectors that came out for smart phones? Picture that. And then picture repetitive tapping in the same area simply to get the screen to respond. I personally have not tested the waterproof aspect other than the initial test upon receiving the case. Also, LifeProof: I read multiple times that the buttons seem stiff and as if you might break them when you attempt to use them (ringer on/off button, especially) and there certainly is an audible clicking sound. Every time I turn my ringer on and off, I get nervous that I am breaking the switch on my phone. Friends have told me that these do in fact wear in, and I'm really hoping they're correct! Personally, I had an OtterBox for an iPhone 6 that almost fit this phone perfectly, and I LOVED it. I went with LifeProof because you have such a good reputation. However, I don't think I should have to go broke just to buy a phone case from you that works a little more flawlessly.

Also dropped in 12” of water with no issues. Best case I’ve found Easily pulls out of pocket ( I’ve had rubber covers that made it almost impossible to get phone out of my pocket) They last me just over a year and I use my phone 24/7

BUT I have to change it every 6 months as it feels up with dust and people can no longer hear me. New cover fixes the problems. I have tried cleaning cover with compressed air etc and no joy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6S iPhone case review I just received my iPhone 8 case, so I can't say much about it, but let me tell you about my last case. My mistake, my iPhone 6S went for a swim in my washing machine (it was at least 40+ minutes before I found it after looking everywhere). While the inside of the case was wet, the phone still worked when I got it out of the washer, though the phone was a little "wonky". I immediately threw the phone into rice and left it there for 48 hours, letting it dry out fully before I tried charging it and checking to see if it still worked. I ordered a new iPhone 8, figuring the old phone was shot. Actually... my old phone still worked with no problems. I cannot believe it, but it's true. I will forever be a believer in the LifeProof case and will never buy anything else. I work around water so I need a case that will protect me from quick drops into a pool, but my old phone seriously still works after almost a full cycle in the washing machine. LifeProof, you are amazing! Thank you for a terrific product.

Phone snapped straight in to the cover and it’s not too bulky or reduces usability. I took the phone then in the shower to play music and try it out. It performed brilliantly. Dropped it twice too and no outward signs of damage. A cracking product; great design & one tough little cookie.

I’m rough on my things and it fumbles around in my diaper bag or my toddlers snag it and it’s really holding up fabulously. So I bought two more for my teens’ iPhone 8s. These are the kids who, 1 didn’t have a phone for 8 months because after replacing a cracked screen twice, I refused to do again, and the other had no screen and still used her phone with a jagged under screen. So I bought this case and nothing else. No tempered glass screen or anything. As they cartwheel around and play in the snow their phones are still perfect. I love these, will always use one and recommend them to everyone. Also when I ordered mine the “pretty” colors were out of stock. Like the lavender and teal ones. So I ordered blue and grey and they are still very pretty. 5 stars but I’d give 10 if I could.

He also hunts so this design was more for the hunts he participated in. Since I have got it two weeks ago he has already dropped the phone and also may have gotten it in some water. His phone has remained in perfect shape. I recommend this case for anyone who is hard in their phone! Also it delivered to me very quickly and packaging was good no damages to product when I received it.
