Great phone case
I bought this for my iPhone 16 pro max. It was a long wait to get it but finally hit the market. It weighs about half as much as the case I was using. It’s completely sealed from dust, water, mud and everything else. The side buttons are a little bit hard to push but I figure it’s still new and will get easier. I’ve been using Lifeproof cases for years after running over my iPhone with a medium size tractor with liquid filled tires and smashed my phone in the ground. I had to use a stick to pry it up and the only thing wrong was a scratch on the screen cover. I was sold. Can’t say enough good things about them. Totally covered, screen, camera & charging port. Mag charging is a breeze too. In my opinion anything else is a waste of time and money. Get yourself one, you won’t be disappointed.

Max Protection
You buy the Fre case for MAXIMUM protection and it delivers every time. An exposed screen phone case gives you a different feel but at a risk I’m just not willing to take. Been a Fre case fan for a long time because it’s flat out reliable.

I was eagerly waiting for the release of the OtterBox case for my iPhone 16 Pro Max. As someone who has always relied on OtterBox for my previous Pro Max phones, I was initially disheartened to learn that the FRE case wasn’t available right away. I was hesitant to even use my new phone without my trusted OtterBox protection.
In the meantime, I purchased the best OtterBox case that was available, but I was extremely disappointed with its durability. In less than a month, I went through two screen protectors and two cases! I found myself constantly checking for updates on the FRE case, feeling nervous about my phone's protection.
When the FRE case finally became available, I was ecstatic! Unfortunately, my first one seemed defective, which left me feeling frustrated. However, OtterBox was responsive and sent me a replacement. I'm thrilled to say that the new case works perfectly—just like all the previous ones I've owned!
Now that I have my FRE case, I feel like I've invested in the best protection for my phone, much like putting a cover on a luxury car. I love it! Thank you, OtterBox, for coming through in the end!

Outstanding case!
Case works as it’s advertised. 3 days after I had it on my phone it fell out my pocket into my pond. Got it out 15 seconds later and not a drop of water inside the case. Gave it a four star but is probably a five star. My hands are rough and from swiping I’ve noticed the screen protector is starting to get a few small scratches. Not a deal breaker. I’d buy it again

I always buy an FRE as soon as they’re available.
Put my trust ??. I am so confident, I don’t even keep the insurance on the phone. I work school security. Don’t know how many times I’ve dropped my phone or it fell out my pocket breaking up a fight. Never had to replace a cracked screen.

Terrible case for the money
Terrible case. I figured it would be good but no. It’s bulky and slippery. The sounds comes out terrible. Mic quality is terrible. The screen protector does this weird oil slick thing. Dollar for dollar, it’s bad.

Cool case but needs some quality control
Did water test and it leaked by camera. Volume, lock, and action buttons have to be pushed harder to register. And the touchscreen becomes a harder to use when trying to bring down the notifications and control center.

I absolutely LOVE the OtterBox Fre case for my 16 Pro Max! So thankful they made it available, I love having the 360 protection. When spending $1000+ on a phone I want it as protected as possible. This is why I have always used the Fre case! Never want to use another case. The MagSafe is very strong and I love the built in screen protector that functions like there is no protector at all, touch screen function is fabulous. Ther is absolutely NO better iPhone case IMO!!!!!

Lifeproof/Otterbox Fre is Incomparable
I tried 3 other waterproof brands before this one. This is the only one that completely protects my iPhone device and allows clear conversation. I also like the incorporation of the magnetic charging ring.

Have Loved This Case For Years!
I have been a Fre user for many years. I love the case so much! It keeps my phone very well protected. I have even gone snorkeling with it and dropped it 15 feet to the bottom of the ocean! I just wish there was more of a choice in color, but functionally speaking it is worth every penny!

Good Case, Does the Job
I like the case and it “feels” like it will protect my investment in an iPhone 16 pro max very well. It’s tight- so I think it will withstand submersion when I am kayaking and also normal drops in hard surfaces. Only two downsides- the only color choice left when I bought it was black and the buttons are now very hard to push.

Waterproofing at the cost of media quality
Solid case. The waterproof aspect is really nice. Glad the case has a screen protector built in. Phone feels very safe and secure.
However, because the case is airtight to keep water out, the phone is sitting in a resonant box. Sounds coming out the speaker sound a bit muffled and boomy due to no ports in the case for air to escape.
The vibrations of rubbing your fingers across the screen while recording a video are picked up by the phone mic and cause rubbing sounds in your videos.
Also, the clear plastic cover over the camera lenses can create unwanted reflections and flares in pics/video.
Your phone will certainly be protected, but with some trade offs.

Protective, but loose fit.
Good protection. The back of the case is not flush with the phone. It often bends and creates little popping sounds, and rainbow colors on the screen. My only qualm is the fit.

I want to absolutely love it but…
Great but with some drawbacks—these darn air bubbles for one! I have taken my case of four times to clear them and the dust and debris that keeps sneaking under the screen! I have reached out previously for another case I purchased here and luckily received a replacement case. It’s like a hit or miss with the quality. The sticky protector that you have to remove from the screen protector itself leaves a residue that’s near impossible to remove. The final drawback is opening the case. The corners get damaged! For a $100 case I shouldn’t have to worry about the corners getting damaged when I need a coin or an old Lifeproof guitar looking pic that they use to include with the case that I still had. Just a bummer. I truly want to love it but eventually you have to just settle with certain nuisances. Overall I do love the full coverage protection is why I still keep using and buying them in hopes I’ll get a good one.

Good case. Just wish that the screen covering was more responsive, though to be fair I did opt for waterproof. Also wish it had a hard encasement cover similar to the one for my Ipad.
