LG Ultrawide 29WQ600-W 29" Class UW-UXGA Gaming LCD Monitor - 21:9 is rated 3.80 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Monitor. This monitor represents an excellent 21:9 display option suitable for both home and office environments. With a resolution of 2560x1080, it offers a visually appealing experience, delivering a beautiful picture despite not reaching the 1440p mark. Additionally, its IPS panel ensures an impressive 99% color accuracy, further enhancing the overall visual quality. The HDR capabilities of this monitor are truly remarkable, adding an extra layer of depth and vibrancy to the display. However, when it comes to gaming, it is important to note that its performance is merely satisfactory. With a refresh rate of 100Hz and 5ms response times, I wouldn't recommend it for competitive gaming enthusiasts who require optimal responsiveness. That being said, if you lean more towards casual gaming or enjoy indie and single-player games like myself, this monitor proves to be an excellent choice. It excels in providing an immersive experience tailored to these gaming genres. If I were to make one alteration, it would be to increase the refresh rate to 120Hz and lower the response time to 1ms. This enhancement would further enhance the monitor's gaming capabilities. Nevertheless, despite this minor drawback, it remains a great monitor that I wholeheartedly recommend to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My First Widescreen Monitor! This is not only my first LG monitor but also the largest monitor I have owned as well as my first, widescreen. I absolutely cannot believe that I can do what was taking me two separate monitors on just this one monitor. This was the main point, or desire, in my wanting to own a widescreen monitor was to be able to condense and not have to use multiple monitors. So this also means using less electricity as well. I did not know until after the fact that it has built-in speakers. The sound quality is excellent and does not distort at higher volumes. I was using a wireless Bluetooth speaker but I have switched over to using LG's internal speaker on this monitor which also uses this technology called Waves MaxxAudio. The clarity for someone with less than 20/20 vision is impeccable. There are many settings options such as Custom, Cinema, Vivid, HDR Effect, FPS, RTS, and a reader mode (that has that sort of tablet sepia color to it). I will generally use the Custom feature. I like the Super Resolution+ and Black Level settings as it makes the text stand out better. Under Settings, Picture, Color Adjust, there is a Gamma feature with four separate modes. Choosing Mode 3 enhances text clarity even further and is what I am currently using. Other features include the ability to tilt the monitor forward and back. It does not have an option to raise the height of the monitor and if I had to list any cons that are literally the only one I can think of. On the rear of the monitor where the ports are there is a USB-C port which could be used to charge any devices that use a USB-C charge cable. This is definitely a monitor I would recommend for anyone to use and I mean that especially if you are working from home or for any businesses seeking to upgrade their current monitors for their employees. This is such a major space saver being able to use this one monitor and it looks so much cleaner as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great I like it! The wide screen makes it really easy to do work as a med student.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great screen It has been around a month since I own the monitor; the quality of the image is good, the refresh rate is reasonable, and the sound of the speakers is terrible, so better to connect your computer or any other device to another sound system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Died after 18 Months Save your money and buy something else. My monitor stopped working 18 months after purchase—right after the warranty expired. LG offered no assistance or support whatsoever. Horrible experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Price but Sadly It did not work for me I hope you find my comments helpful and respectful to LG, the manufacturer. I acquired this monitor to use with my new Macbook Pro M1 pro. Unfortunately, I have had this monitor for about two months, and it is not working. I noticed the USB-C was not charging my laptop multiple times, then started not getting a video signal through the USB-C. I troubleshoot it by changing the cables numerous times. Then, the monitor dies. I reported to LG Customer Service and sent the monitor for repair. Things that I wish will be available in service/repair services: - Track the status of the repair and estimate the time of completion. - I got my monitor back after all, but with no service report, I did not know what was done with the repair. - The monitor came with a barcode sticker on display, and then pull it out, it all sticky with glue. - Monitor came back with scratches. I called back customer service to report the above, but it seems they did not care at all, did not answer my questions, and the simple solution offered to send it back again. This incurs time without my primary monitor for work, time to go to drop the box losing time and productivity. I wish I could get other solutions, such as a quick exchange or upgrade to another monitor, pay the difference, call it for the day, and save time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A 21:6 monitor which did bot fill the bill The husband bought this monitor to compliment a new CPU purchase for the wife. It was very nice in color and clarity; yet the narrowness of the design caused desired data to not be as easily visible as 16:9 monitors. This monitor is more 21:6 in ratio. Had it been 16:9, it would not have been returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Okay for the price I bought this about a month ago and I'm quite happy with it. I picked a slightly lower specs monitor that is more affordable since my work won't get me a ultrawide and I didn't want to spend too much of my own money. I've been using on screen control and loving it. I'm going to see if it supports DUAL CONTROL soon. Picture quality is not the best, but if you're not a pro user, you will barely notice it. Speaker is low quality, but it's ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can see clearly now. I've had this monitor for less than a month to replace another manufacturers monitor just three years old. The problem is that when I bought a 55 inch LG C1 television the desktop computer monitor I was using was not as vibrant and colorful as my TV! It should be since I sit so close! The choice was clear, I had to have an LG monitor with HDR capability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent combo of price, quality, and dimensions Kept the box 'cuz I wasn't sure I would keep it. It's still sitting behind me bookshelf. I'm pleased to say I will be keeping the box, not because I intend to send it back but in case I need to tap into the warranty. This was the PERFECT blend of the exact amount of screen real estate, price point, and quality that I wanted. Buying electronics online can be tricky but I am an LG fan now. If you're looking for a screen that gives you the most productivity bang for your buck (and saves you some bucks) I HIGHLY recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor but height adjust on stand The monitor is great and has everything I expected out of a 29 inch WFHD monitor. Especially thequality of the IPS panel is great. The only con is the stand that stands at a low height and doesnt allow portrait placement or raising height also the range of tilt is limited. Apart from that the inbuilt speaker gets loud.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good screen, okay design The screen itself is generally pretty good. The sync frequency can cause issues until it's adjusted to match the graphics card you have. The base design leaves much to be desired. The balance of the monitor is heavily skewed forward: it falls over super easily and any amount of pressure damages the screen irreparably (which isn't covered by the manufacturer's warranty).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent monitor, but support is horrible I bought 6 of these for my sales team to use as our ERP system is designed more for a wide screen. It is great for visibility that way, however within 2 months we had 1 completely die. It took over 3 months to get customer service to provide a shipping label to have the screen repaired. I just kept getting told "a shipping label will be created soon". Finally was able to reach someone on live chat that was able to send a label immediately. The repair only took about two weeks but that left one of my employees without the widescreen for almost 4 month. So far the rest of the monitors are holding up, but based on the service I won't buy from LG again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! If I could change one thing, it would have probably gotten a bigger one. A 29" ultrawide is vertically challenged. I you are buying one to fill your view at a 3' distance, this size just doesn't do it. Other than that, the monitor performs well enough. It was new and in good condition. Build quality is solid. This is a matte display so contrast could be better, but this is the only option for me given the glare situation in my room.
