Rated 5 out of 5 by from null Monitor is constantly going into sleep mode when I am using my computer. There seems to be no reason for this. Using the included display port and power connector. Unplugging and holding the power button to "reset" does not fix the issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! This is the new standard for Ultrawide! This monitor is incredible in so many ways, and even with minor set backs, its still something I highly recommend. First, its big. Its really big. 45 inches is a large screen and you need to make sure you have ample desk space in order to support the size of this monitor. Its also heavy, I think the specs say its about 30 pounds with the stand, and you might need 2 people to help set it up. Once its set up though, you are immediately taken over by the sheer size of this thing! Turning it on for the first time and see your desktop through the monitor takes some time for your eyes to adjust, it feels like they combined 2 regular sized monitors and glued it together and bent it! The 800r curve is very noticeable, and this is where it might be a hit or a miss for some people. I love the curve, but doing certain tasks like media editing might be annoying to use. Editing video and photos though, look so great because the colors look sharp and bright, I cannot see myself editing media in another monitor. Gaming though, this is where it shines. Immersing yourself in a screen that has 5k2k resolution, combined with an OLED panel that has perfect blacks , contrast, and bright colors, and every game you’ve ever played will feel so different. Playing Forza Horizon 5, you see how colorful the landscape is, along with the reflections on the car. Driving fast and seeing the trees fly past you on such a large screen makes the game feel so much bigger than it already is. I love playing Marvel Rivals, and I’m glad it supports Ultrawide monitors, because running around in an intense battle looks amazing. Seeing the characters and the art work look so vibrant in an OLED monitor is an amazing experience! Also, remember to enable HDR. HDR in an OLED panel looks surreal! Note that this monitor has a 21:9 aspect ratio, not a 32:9, so the games that support ultra wide will not look stretched out. This is what ultrawide gaming should look like. This monitor gives you the ability to change the resolution and refresh rate, with its dual mode function. You can go from 5k2k at 165hz to 2650 x 1080 in 330hz. While the quality of the image does go down a bit when switching, you would get a much smoother experience when playing certain games. I like the idea, but I don’t use it as much and I love the quality you get leaving it at 5k2k, it’s a compromise that some will be ok with, but I prefer leaving it at the default max quality. The gripes of the dual mode resolution compromise, as well as doing certain productivity tasks on a such aggressive curve can turn off people. To me it’s a matter of adjustment. Give it a day or two, I got used to it and I honestly feel like I cannot go back to any other monitor! “I am a LG employee and I received a sample of the LG UltraGear 5K2K OLED (45GX950A) to try. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor HDR Brightness… This monitor is being intentionally held back in maximum brightness in HDR during the 10% APL highlights. The Windows HDR calibration tool clips/maxes out at ~600 nits instead of around 800 nits. PG32UCDP monitor is able to achieve 800 nits in the 10% APL. In addition, vignetting is turned on by default and should not be on at all. This monitor needs a firmware, asap, to address low HDR brightness and to permanently disable CPC/vignetting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ultimate Weapon for Competitive FPS Dominance As a long-time FPS gamer who plays everything from Valorant and CS2 to Apex Legends, I’ve always chased the best possible setup for aim precision, low latency, and fluidity. This 45" UltraGear OLED? Absolute beast. Visuals & Resolution (5K2K WUHD Mode – 165Hz): When I’m grinding ranked in slower-paced tactical shooters, the 5K2K mode is insane. The ultra-wide real estate means I can see more of the field without turning my head. Spotting flankers or lining up long-range shots is easier with the added peripheral visibility. Colors are vivid, and the blacks are OLED-deep, so enemies don’t just blend into shadows anymore. Perfect for maps with mixed lighting. Speed & Competitive Performance (WFHD 330Hz Mode): Switching to 330Hz mode for fast-paced games like Overwatch 2 or Quake Champions is like unlocking bullet-time. The response time (0.03ms) and refresh rate combo makes this panel the fastest thing I’ve ever played on. My flick shots feel cleaner, target tracking is smoother, and input feels instant. Pair this with a good mouse and you’re literally optimizing your reaction window. Build Quality & Design: It’s curved, which I was skeptical about at first—but for FPS, it actually enhances immersion without feeling distorted. It’s sleek, RGB is subtle (thankfully), and the stand is sturdy. Ports are future-proofed with DisplayPort 2.1, which is clutch. G-Sync Compatibility: No screen tearing. None. Even when I dip below max FPS, everything stays smooth and responsive. For an OLED, it’s impressive how it holds up under pressure without ghosting or image retention. Minor Gripe: The 45" size does take getting used to. If you're used to a 24" or 27", there’s a learning curve. But once dialed in, your muscle memory adjusts, and it’s hard to go back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from extremely disappointed Extremely disappointed in extremely expensive monitor. VRR does not work - it causes frequent black screen flickers and artifacts. Sometimes it randomly does not detect signal even though all of my other monitors connected to the same graphics card detect the signal just fine. Technical support was totally unhelpful - I told them it was connected via DisplayPort and they asked if it was HDMI or USB displayport. I expected much, much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Communication, No Transparency – Buyer Beware I ordered this 45” UltraGear™ OLED 5K2K WUHD Gaming Monitor for $1,799 on March 26, 2025, from the LG Partner Store. At the time of purchase, it was clearly listed as in stock with an estimated delivery of April 4. As of April 7, I have received no updates whatsoever from LG—no shipping confirmation, no delay notice, and not even a basic courtesy email to acknowledge the delay. I’ve had to chase down support myself, only to hear vague mentions (secondhand) of potential backorder issues that were never disclosed to me at any point. I’ve already contacted LG directly (order # available on file with support), requesting: A clear updated delivery timeline Expedited shipping for the delay A gesture of goodwill or compensation for the lack of communication So far, I’ve received no reply. For a premium-tier product and brand, this lack of transparency and customer care is unacceptable. I’m sharing this review so other shoppers know that, even at this price point, you may be left completely in the dark post-purchase. I still hope LG will make this right—but until then, I cannot recommend this buying experience to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for work and gaming It's the endgame monitor I've been hoping for. I've had zero issues getting it to work with my 2019 Macbook Pro, which was a surprise given the lack of 5K2K displays in 2019. Text clarity on the MBP is perfectly crisp. While I wasn't able to get it to work with the dock I had had, the included USB-C displayport cable works perfectly. I like having all of this space to arrange my windows for my software engineering job. On my 2020 Windows PC equipped with an RTX 3090, I've had almost no issues. While text clarity on my Windows PC isn't as good as my Macbook Pro, but I assume that that's just down to Windows and not the display. Gaming is excellent. My favorite game at the moment is Battlefield 5, and I'm able to more easily see soldiers on the ground while flying thanks to the high resolution and pixel density. HDR looks pretty good, though I've yet to play a game with HDR that really pops. I'm a huge fan of the curve. While photos of the display look silly, in reality, when sitting in front of the display, the sides of the display are just as close as the center to the eye. The impression is like being in an IMAX theater, which also has a curved screen. In my opinion, the wrap-around is more immersive than a flat screen. I had previously tried the 4K gaming displays that came out last year, and was just a little disappointed, finding them to be only a modest step forward from what I was using before. This, however, is a huge leap forward and I'm extremely satisfied. The only thing holding me back is my older PC- a problem which I'm going to change soon! It's challenging for me to imagine how displays can meaningfully improve from this point - this feels like it could be the last monitor I'll ever buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture The resolution / picture quality of this monitor is stunning. Coming from a 4K LG CX I was expecting a somewhat better picture, but was completely blown away the first time I booted up TLOU Part 2, and AC Shadows. I haven't been able to fully test DP 2.1 yet due to driver issues on Nvidia's end, but 5K@165 works flawlessly via DP 1.4. The 2.1 black screen issue was supposed to be fixed via 576.02, but issue is still present. Assuming the DP 2.1 issues are fixed soon. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone with a GPU that can handle these resolutions and framerates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Monitor (read if having HDR issues) I'll start by saying that I love the image quality, curvature, brightness, resolution, and speed of this monitor. It is truly immersive for a gaming experience. I have had one issue with the monitor and wanted to share a possible resolution for anyone else experiencing it. I have the monitor paired with an Asus ROG Astral 5090 graphics card. In the native resolution and refresh rate (5120x2160 and 165Hz) if I enable HDR in windows, the screen will go black and claim loss of input. Initially, the only way to get video again was to use Win+Alt+B to disable HDR and hard reset the computer. 5120x2160 at 165 Hz and 10bit HDR would be 60 Gbps and require UBR20 or DSC. This monitor is only capable of UBR13.5, so I assume the issue is with negotiating usage of DSC. I found that if I configure the monitor's "Input Compatibility Version" to 1.4, this fixed the issue and allowed me to run 5120x2160 at 165 Hz and 10bit HDR. This is found under the General section of the monitor's configuration. The monitor and my Asus ROG Astral 5090 graphics card both support display port 2.1. I'm not sure if the DSC negotiation issue is on the side of the monitor or the graphics cards, but I hope to see a firmware update fix in the future to resolve the incompatibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deceptive card practices I ordered it and LG fully charged my card even if it was not shipped yet. That is not ok. You can put a hold, but only settle once you ship! The delivery date was also severely moved after charging me, that is a bait and switch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect display for simulation, Better than VR As a student pilot, I’ve always looked for ways to improve my situational awareness and flight instincts during my free time. That’s why flight simulation has become a key part of my training routine. I use a full range of external flight controls—yoke, throttle, and rudder pedals—to make the experience as close to real as possible. But what truly makes or breaks a simulation setup is the visual field. At first, I invested in a Meta Quest 3 for VR flying. While the ability to turn my head and look around freely in all directions was impressive, I ran into some serious limitations. The visual quality was lacking due to hardware constraints, the frame rate often dropped, and most importantly, the motion sickness was hard to ignore. It became clear that I needed a high-end monitor that could deliver immersion without the drawbacks of VR. After a week of use for 45GX950A, I can say this monitor is exactly what I was looking for. Even though my laptop doesn’t support the full 5120x2160 resolution, the simulation still ran beautifully at 3840x2160. I never once felt limited. The curved OLED display completely fills my field of view, offering a wide and immersive flying experience. Unlike with VR, there’s no dizziness, no eye strain, and no blur. The clarity and depth of the visuals are absolutely stunning. I could clearly see to the sides of my aircraft, which is essential for flight training and spatial awareness. There was a slight stretch in the side viewing angles, Perhaps due to my current resolution settings but overall, It didn’t impact my experience much. The visual quality remained sharp, bright, and natural throughout. Colors are rich, contrast is deep, and motion is fluid. It really feels like I’m flying through the skies. The user interface is another win. Unlike my previous 27” monitor from another brand (which had five separate buttons that always confused me), the 45GX950A has a single joystick-style control that makes navigating settings simple and quick. When switching to Game Mode, I noticed that the FPS preset made the image slightly darker, but this is a minor observation rather than a flaw. Installation was also easier than expected. Despite the panel being quite large and a bit heavy, I was able to set it up without even needing the manual. In short, this monitor beats VR in clarity, comfort, and usability. After just one week, I already feel like it’s elevated the quality of my flight training significantly. "I am a HSAD employee and I received a sample of the LG UltraGear 5K2K OLED (45GX950A) to try. This is my honest review of the product. All opinions expressed in this post are personal and should not be attributed to LG."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture quality I have ordered this monitor for my monster PC buil and it just a perfect. The picture is quite clear, the size of the screen is large, a little unusual after the previous 22 inches, you want to squeeze further, but the picture is simply stunning. Also liked deep black and matte. I will actively use gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG's New Monitor, is one of the greats. The LG Ultragear Monitor is superb for gaming and amazing for productivity and daily use. The monitor's massive 45-inch screen and strong curve might look intimidating at first glance, but through my experience, I can almost guarantee you that once you get used to it, it’ll feel necessary for computer use, something you can rely on for any tasks. First, and probably the most important aspect, gaming: the 5K2K resolution allows for more precise visuals in games with higher graphic intensity. I felt as if games such as Forza Horizon 5, Hogwarts Legacy, and Microsoft Flight Simulator, all looked better with the use of this monitor, feeling like completely separate games, compared to my other monitor. The LG Ultragear really pushed me to try more graphically intense games like Forza Horizon 5, widely known as one of the most graphically stunning games. I was able to see each pixel of the monitor blend seamlessly to create the illusion that I was truly in the landscapes of Mexico. One of the key selling points, the flex (referring to its aggressive curve), is really no joke! The curve allows you to see all your favorite games the way they were intended. You’ve probably heard this many times before, but the flex really immerses you within the game. In the beginning, it might feel a little unconventional, but that’s just because it’s new, the flex is a lot for someone to take in, but trust me, once you get used to the curve, it makes everything feel so much faster. For example, the flex makes it so you don't have to move your neck around to find your different apps. Instead, due to the curve, you're able to just dart your eyes around, allowing for virtually no neck strain. This provides all the benefits of a larger monitor, such as multitasking, immersion within your favorite games, and more productive sessions, with little to no downsides. I also noted that with the monitor's lower blue light, I could focus on gaming and productivity without the constant need for breaks due to eye strain. This helped me finish large building projects in Minecraft, which looked amazing with shaders on this monitor by the way, and complete a huge chunk of the main campaign of Hogwarts Legacy. Speaking of Hogwarts Legacy, while playing through the game, it was really obvious that this monitor was OLED. The true-black pixels, exclusive to OLED monitors, added a whole new dimension to the game. It allowed for incredible contrast with the vibrant colors created through the game's visuals. Now, for the FPS and third-person shooter enthusiasts thinking about getting this monitor: its "Gaming Modes," specifically the FPS optimization, increased my framerate by a decent amount, around 40-50 FPS, while using the 5K2K mode. The monitor also features a 21:9 aspect ratio, allowing for support for most widely played games like Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, and Halo. I tried playing games like Fortnite and Marvel Rivals on this monitor, and let me tell you, it's a different scene entirely. Each game didn't just look and feel like a shooter, but also looked like it was supposed to be a visually-oriented game as well. If you need a boost in FPS or just want more hertz, the monitor supports a secondary mode with 330 Hz at an impressive 2560 x 1080 resolution. In specific, Fortnite looked even better, the realism that was able to be shown through little details like the sunset, water reflection, and shaders only got amplified with this new monitor. The only unfortunate side effect of this monitor is that I can't blame my whiffs on input lag anymore, thanks to the super fast DisplayPort 2.1, allowing for blazing-fast data speeds, along with the 0.03ms response time, making for lightning-quick gameplay. Overall, this monitor is a great buy. There's nothing else on the market quite like it. When you look at this monitor, you can clearly tell that LG is marketing it as a premium monitor, due to the overall posh “vibe” of the monitor and the insane graphics that come along with it. If you're serious about gaming, need something to aid in productivity, want to try out OLED, or want to fully utilize your PC, this monitor is for you. “I am a LG employee and I received a sample of the LG UltraGear 5K2K OLED (45GX950A) to try. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly end-game panel This is the best monitor I have ever used. In a desktop setting, everything is crisp and clear. I have a fairly deep desk so I don't have to crane my neck. I use HDMI 2.1, which works for me. Not sure why people even bother to use DP 2.1 when HDMI 2.1 works perfectly well for this style of display. In games, holy crap. This thing rules. Playing games at 5k 165hz is an incredible experience. Add the HDR to it and it's even better. Baldur's Gate 3 never looked so good. I can't really tell the difference between 165 and 330 in games like rocket league, so I don't really bother with the dual mode, although that might be a selling point for some. The only criticism I've seen of the dual mode is that it does not perfectly scale, which it should be able to; going from 5120x2160 to 2560x1080 should mean that the pixels scale perfectly, but there is some fringing. See Optimum's review on youtube for more details.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The last monitor I'll ever buy This monitor is the best thing to ever happen to my home office. Coming from a multimonitor setup to this huge, single screen is a game changer for both productivity and gaming. Prior to buying, I was concerned that the curve would be too aggressive. I was relieved to discover that it's not noticeable at all. It helps with gaming immersion and doesn't impact my work (software development) at all. The picture on this thing is incredible. Colors are vivid, blacks are deep, and the panel is very bright. Even with a south-facing window in my office, the screen seems bright. I know I've seen some people have concerns about the matte coating. It's barely noticeable. I can't even tell it's there unless I put one of my older glossy monitors right next to it. Really, the screen does everything you want. Just keep in mind that you will need a solid graphics card to fully use the 5k resolution at the full refresh rate. If you don't have at least a 5080, the price may not be worth it. Connectivity-wise, I do wish it had more than one USB-C upstream port. The one that exists is fantastic, powering and connecting my Macbook Pro to peripherals through the USB-A ports just like a docking station. But additional upstream ports would have provided some KVM functionality, which would have been nice. That's not a deal-breaker at all, though. Overall, I love this thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A MASSIVE dissapointment. Quite the DUD I am so dissapointed in this monitor. I have a loaded PC that can run anything. First of all, the color out of the box was not calibrated great. When I finally got that done, I was really dissapointed with the refresh rate flicker. I did all the tricks and checked every troubleshooting topic. As I type this thing fliickers once about every 10 seconds. My Asus 5090 is fine, my board is fine, everything is updated. I am RUNNING to the store tomorrow to return this monitor. Why didn't you wait LG until you could do 240 hz on a DP 2.1 UBHR 20? Where is the QD Led screen. SOOOO MANY THINGS have gone wrong in less than 3 days. Going with the MSI MPG322URX, while I'm going down in size I know that i won't have to worry and the display will be worth just as much as the GPU running it, which this is not. I own all LG Oled tv's and I thought this woudl be better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture Quality is a Game Changer Seeing this monitor in action was like putting new glasses on for the first time. Pictures and videos do not do the 5k2k screen resolution and deep, crisp colors justice. The monitor was extremely simple to set up and was as easy as plugging in and playing. After adjusting some of the color settings and calibrating, I tested its limits on various games and videos and it packs quite a punch. First off, while the screen itself is the main attraction, the design and shape of the monitor and stand fit right in with my setup. I appreciated how sleek the design was, and considering its specs it was not bulky at all. The larger, curved screen was an adjustment at first but the overall picture quality was sharp, crisp, and breathtaking, and paired well with my 9070 XT graphics card. Compared to other monitors I've used the display and adaptability are second to none. Switching between dual mode let me play competitive games at a higher refresh rate of 330Hz which increased my FPS dramatically, while switching back to the 5k2k resolution let me enjoy single-player games on higher quality settings with an impressive display to maximize how well the graphics looked. Being able to switch between gameplay quality and picture quality was a great feature and I found myself using it more often than I thought I would. It ran great on Marvel Rivals when I wanted more FPS and was able to make games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Monster Hunter Wilds look even more impressive than they already were. Even after some time it feels just as new as the day I unboxed it. It enhances the best parts and most important parts of your gaming experience and gives you the freedom to decide what you want to prioritize for different occasions. I highly recommend this monitor. This is my honest review of the product. All opinions expressed in this post are personal and should not be attributed to LG.”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Issue with hdr on DP 2.1 I have not been able to get HDR to work on DP 2.1. Almost everyday for a week I try to establish communication to support. No one knows what’s wrong, then today they tell me HDR isn’t supported on DP 2.1? Which would be a false statement. The support team talked to me like I was an idiot saying I didn’t know how to use the OSD. I been building computers for ten years I know how to use a OSD menu! But I digress. If you want to buy this monitor for DP 2.1 don’t. Everything else sure. It definitely looks better than last years model the DPI is sweet. But my taste is sour from the support team treating me like an idiot and lies when DP 2.1 standard supports HDR. I will not recommend this monitor. DO NOT BUY! Do not reccomend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Monitor Fantastic monitor that checks all of the boxes. Great image quality, high refresh rate, multiple resolution options and features, 1300 nit peak HDR, large format, and amazing PPI. Incredibly immersive for gaming, and the built in split screen and multi input options are great for productivity. My only concern was the 800r curvature, but when you're sat in front of the monitor, it just wraps around your field of vision and the curve isn't noticeable. Highly recommended. Best monitor on the market currently as of Q1 2025 hands down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly immersive monitor Incredibly immersive monitor. The 800r curve is incredible as it wraps arounds your field of view. Definitely an improvement over the G9 oled I had. My only complain it's the matte coating it's definitely not as good as a glossy one, and it's a bit blurry in light colors (looking at the sky in games). Other than that it's an amazing monitor, I just wish it was glossy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 45 inches of Curvacious WOLED goodness I received the monitor today and had a chance to use it for both work and gaming. Absolutely blown away. *The 800R curve is engaging and immersive. In the past I had a 37.5” 1800R 21:9 monitor I used for work, and I found it seemed very wide, with the edges of the screen somewhat far away. In contrast the 45GX950 wraps around you and envelops you in an OLED embrace. I love it for productivity apps as well, despite the naysayers. At 5k2k, you have enough resolution to actually make use of all the 45” space. It’s a couple of inches taller vertically than a 32” 16:9. *!The picture quality is strong. Vivid colors. Bright. Great HDR implementation. WOLED panel so it has great viewing angles, no issue with being out of the “sweet spot” that is sometimes talked about with curved monitors. *Worked well out of the box. What I don’t like. * Limited to 165hz at full resolution due to a weak DisplayPort. 165hz is fine, but this is very disappointing for an ultra high $1999 MSRP monitor. It should be 240hz with an 80GBPS DP input. *Only 1 DP input (2 HDMI and 1 USB-C). Needs at least two. *Weak KVM/ USB-C DP implementation. I’m still figuring this out, but I couldn’t get USB-C to provide power or a USB connection to a laptop when used as DP input. *Confusing onscreen menu (OSD) controlled by a tiny button. For example, there is a Game Mode but it’s impossible to tell when it’s on. *Poor documentation. The manual is a complete joke and never even clearly lists or shows the I/O ports or the full specifications of the I/O. *Lack of windows or Mac software. On the software page they offer something called Switch, without explaining what it is. Turns out it is some app to combine an LG phone with your PC. There should be software to easily control all of the screen functionality without going to OSD. *No physical volume buttons for built in speakers. *Screen tries to shut itself off to fast when it goes blank. Let’s say you are loading a game up and it goes blank for a second. The screen immediately tells you it’s going to shut off. Very jarring. *Weak pixel cleaning firmware. It’s unclear if there is auto-cleaning, and the pixel move options are not documented (simply called “Modes 1-4” with no further explanation.) With all that said this thing is absolutely brilliant and game changing. Don’t hesitate to buy this for gaming or work/productivity ir you like the 21:9 format or the idea of it. (I hope you have a nice GPU for gaming though!) My underpowered (but new) work laptop by the way had no trouble powering this monitor at full resolution, and at 165hz (had to switch to 1.4 compatibility mode for that). In short, yes buy it. As of March 2025 there is no other comparable monitor on the market in the 21:9 format.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from broken pixels right out of the box I received the monitor with a line of broken pixels right out of the box. I contacted customer support expecting an exchange, but was told that they don’t offer exchanges for this issue. Instead, they offered a 10% refund if I keep the defective monitor. Why would anyone want to keep a defective product? This is extremely disappointing. I expected better quality control from LG, and the lack of a proper resolution from customer service only made the experience worse. Pictures of the defect are attached for reference. I hope LG takes this feedback seriously and improves both its product checks and customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blown away by this monitor I was hesitant about getting this due to the average stars, but it looks like most of those have to do with shipping time, which was a bit longer than predicted for mine, but it showed up within 10 days. The monitor itself is gorgeous. No photos can do it justice. It's so immersive and I think it's the perfect size if you're sitting right in front of it. This is my first time with an OLED gaming monitor, and I don't think I could go back. Something about the inky blacks and the way HDR looks just feels amazing. I had been holding out for a 5K2K UltraGear and I'm so glad I waited. I had a 34" UltraGear ultrawide prior to this, and the only 2 qualms I have compared to IPS are (1) the maximum brightness is higher on the IPS (though the HDR makes up for this), and (2) text is not quite as sharp on the OLED. I don't think anything can compare with IPS for text clarity, though. That monitor had a 1ms refresh rate, and I can't honestly tell the difference compared to 0.03ms, but suffice to say it's fast enough. I haven't had trouble with DP 2.1 so far, but I haven't installed my 5080 yet, so we'll see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faulty coating.. LG refused replacement Just wanted to make people aware. Multiple panels appear to have been affected with bad matte coating and a clear line across the screen that is related to faulty coating. LG was notified and refused replacement on a new panel. Only offered repair with shipping at my expense. Employees are unable to make action and was sent to presidential liaison line who randomly text you with no way to discuss a plan or communicate with them. Really awful experience. Just an fyi. I would recommend against buying displays from them but if you do return within the return period. Just awful after sales support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charged and No Delivery I will change my review when I actually receive my order as the delivery date has passed and I got 0 notification from LG that there would be a delay. Order is stuck on "processing" so I got in contact via their social media like other reviews said to do. They couldn't provide me with a clear delivery estimate even though I have already been charged. As far as I can tell, the estimated delivery date that shows up when you order is fake. That is unacceptable for how expensive this monitor is. Like I said, will update review when I receive my order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monitor defective out of the box. Beware!! I don't usually leave reviews but I'm really mad right now. I received my monitor at the end of May but didn't get a chance to set it up until today (mid July). After setting it up, the monitor auto turn off every 20-30 seconds. Monitor will not stay on longer than a minute. I reached out to a representative and confirmed it’s defective. I can't return the monitor because I missed my return period. I paid $2k for the monitor and never got to use it even once. Now I'm going to need to send this in for repair since my return period expired. In other words, I may end up paying $2k to just get a repair/refurbished unit back. LG, why has Quality Control gone down this much?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Amazing Monitor!! OMG!!!! Wow!!! This is my very first gaming monitor from LG and LG, you did NOT disappoint!! My experience so far has been an AMAZING one!! Both gaming modes work great! The 330hz 1080p mode doesn't look as bad as I thought it would look. What an incredible immersive experience!! The ONLY issue I've had with the monitor was the deep sleep feature. For some reason, it would not wake, and the only way to get the monitor to wake was to restart my computer (that's an absolute no-go, as who wants to do that every single time the monitor goes to sleep after inactivity?). So to resolve that issue, I simply turned that feature off in the menu settings and since doing that, I've had ZERO issues with this monitor (the monitor still goes to sleep after inactivity, and now wakes as normal with a simple keyboard button press or movement of the mouse). This monitor is EASILY one of the most immersive monitors ever made. Image cleaning, HDR, gaming modes all work great with no issues in my experience. I haven't tried the HDMI port, but I will do so and update this review if I encounter any issues with HDMI. This monitor is pricey, but you most certainly get what you pay for! If you're on the fence about buying this monitor, I say with absolute certainty go for it! You will not be disappointed. I'm completely blown away by the immersion and picture quality of this monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Allow us to permanently disable CPC/Vignetting Allow us to permanently disable CPC/Vignetting on the monitor. When going in the service menu and turning off CPC, you get a HUGE brightness boost on the edges of the screen, however once you turn off the monitor the vignetting is back, forcing you to go back into the service menu to disable it... There's absolutely no reason why vignetting should be enabled on the monitor by default.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent OLED 5K2K monitor, I love it! I bought this 5K2K monitor on 03/17 and received it until today from Amazon, so definitely took a very long time to wait, but well worth it for me. I had a 1440p 240Hz OLED LG 45” and I knew I needed to upgrade to have the best technology and I am very glad I did. The picture quality is excellent, and the monitor works great with my 5090 FE and new PC I just built. The latest games look excellent, and the size of the monitor lets be open and accommodate several web pages or word/excel files at the same time so it’s great for productivity as well. I did end up using the monitor arm I had instead of the stand as I prefer to be able to easily move the monitor depending on what I am doing with it. Highly recommend it if you can afford it, you won’t regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Work Hard Play Hard Monitor As someone who spends 8 hours a day in spreadsheets and Teams calls, and a couple hours each night unwinding with games, I am very impressed with the monitor. First of all out of the box, this thing is a beast. The OLED screen with the curved design wraps you into whatever you’re doing. As a casual PC and console gamer, 240Hz refresh rate makes everything feel buttery smooth. And watching movies/shows on this thing is top notch with crisp picture quality especially the true blacks with vibrant colors. Definitely a fantastic all in one monitor both for work and play. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gaming monitor - no displayport 2.1 Great monitor with amazing picture quality. Definitely can notice the PPI difference compared to the older version. Games look amazing. Was skeptical about curve, but it does not bother me, may actually prefer over a flat version now. I have docked one point for the displayport 2.1 which this is supposed to support but does not. Displayport 1.4 works fine with HDR, but when I turn on HDR with displayport 2.1, there is no signal. From reading the online threads, no one has this working and I have tried 3 different cables, so it is not my setup issue. Definitely an issue with the monitor firmware/software. If this ever gets fixed, I will update my review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG failing to address HDR issue and no UBHR 20 Not working at all with HDR and they cheaped out and went with UBHR 13.5 instead of 20 making it impossible to use the monitor without DSC. So far they've done nothing to address the faulty HDR issue that makes the monitor unusable with DP 2.1. Essentially false advertising given that it can only use DP 1.4. I can deal with the UBHR issue because DSC isn't the end of the world, but it is cheap and a stupid decision given that you know the monitor could've offered proper support for itself. The HDR issue is entirely unacceptable as is LG's response so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for 3 hours before the power brick fried Ordered monitor on April 11 and it came VERY quickly on the Sunday. Monitor worked beautifully with an absolute stunning display...for about 3 hours. I went away from a bit and came back to a monitor that would not turn on. Tried multiple outlets which were verified working. I took a look at the power brick adapter and a pin that should be silver is now black. I'm guessing there was a shortage or electrical discharge within the power brick. I was initially hoping there was no damage to the monitor. I contacted support that Sunday night via Live Chat and it took tooth and nails to convince the agent that it is the power adapter. I was indicated that the power brick would take 7-10 days to arrive. I told them to go ahead even though it is absolutely ridiculous. I called support on Monday and asked them to expedite the shipment and they stated it would be 3-5 days and I should receive a tracking order Monday night or Tuesday morning. I called Tuesday and I got tossed around for about an hour from agent to agent. The final agent for this call stated they had no information or tracking number or any status update on the power brick and that I will just have to wait. I ended up calling one more time but this time, I chose the option to talk with someone from the LG Partner department since that is where I ordered from. This agent, Chris, was excellent. He ended up calling multiple departments, including the Parts department who stated that the brick is on backorder and there is NO ESTIMATE of delivery. So essentially, it is quicker for me to return this monitor and order A NEW ONE than to wait for a power brick. I had to make multiple calls from agents who had no idea what was going on to being told just to wait to finally being told "unknown" estimate wait time for a new brick. ABSOLUTELY unreal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor QC This monitor was amazing for 4-5 days. Using it for both gaming and productivity, I had no complaints. After not using it at all for 4 days because I had to travel, I came home to a large green line down the left side of the monitor. Google says it's stuck pixels referred to as the "green line of death." After attempting to get a replacement, the very unknowledgeable person I spoke with offered me a $50-100 credit and an additional year of warranty if I wanted to keep the monitor (because that would make someone feel better about spending $2000 on a monitor). She could not tell me what the "warranty" covers, but only that she could not provide a replacement; I could only return it and wait for a refund. This is the worst LG purchase I've ever made, and I've easily made 1-20 over the years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This isn’t a screen. It’s a battlefield. LG UltraGear OLED 45 Review – “This isn’t a screen. It’s a battlefield.” -- First Impressions When I first unboxed and set this up, I’ll be honest— “Isn’t this curve way too much?” was my immediate thought. I’ve always preferred flat monitors and thought curved displays were just marketing gimmicks. In fact, I’ve actively avoided curved models until now. But the LG UltraGear OLED 45 completely shattered that bias. After testing it with several games, I finally understood: “This extreme curve exists for a reason—and it destroyed all my preconceived notions.” It’s not just a curved screen. It’s a design meant to wrap your entire field of view and maximize immersion. During in-game cutscenes and cinematic sequences, the experience felt: - More overwhelming than IMAX - On a whole different level than simply sitting close to a big TV - Like being inside a 4D motion simulator This monitor isn’t just a display—it feels like an environment. --------------------------- Destiny 2 – “5400 hours of immersion, redefined” I’m a long-time Destiny 2 player with over 5,400 hours invested. From a tiny 20-inch screen to a 32-inch 165Hz LG gaming monitor, I’ve tried it all. Anyone who takes Destiny 2 seriously knows how important black level performance is—especially in dark environments. With this OLED panel, it’s a complete game changer. Thanks to the perfect blacks: - Platform edges are clearly visible - No more “guesswork” in pitch-black Lost Sectors - The game simply becomes more readable and playable On my previous 32-inch monitor, the larger screen felt nice—but that’s about it. Now? With the 45-inch ultrawide curved OLED, it’s an entirely different story. - It’s not just a bigger screen. It feels like the entire battlefield has entered my field of vision. Your visual space is filled from center to edges—left, right, even peripheral. You don’t need to turn your head—everything just lives within your natural sightline. And then come the raids: - Boss-wide AoE attacks sweep across the screen like they’re exploding right in front of you - Skating across the map makes the background blur past like a hyperspace jump in Star ars - The sheer size and wraparound view makes my heart race at the thought of day-one raids - The game no longer feels like I’m playing it—it feels like I’m in it I’ve tried playing Destiny 2 on a big living room TV before, and sure—it was large. But it was just a big screen at a distance. This? This monitor takes over your field of view. It’s no longer a screen—it’s a space. - You can’t capture this level of immersion in a screenshot. It’s something you have to feel to believe. --------------------------- Helldivers 2 – “My body flinches with every explosion” I was worried it’d be like POE2—an optimization nightmare. But surprisingly, it ran smoothly at 5120 resolution. And it confirmed something for me: For these types of games, ultrawide curved isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity. With the entire battlefield wrapping around you, you stop noticing anything happening outside your monitor. Your focus locks in. Your awareness expands. - Watching a massive Titan get obliterated by an Orbital Railcannon Strike felt terrifying—like the shrapnel might actually hit me - When Orbital Walking Barrage skimmed past my flank, I could feel the heat on my skin It’s not just a big screen—it’s proof that I exist on that battlefield. No benchmark or spec sheet can explain this. You just have to experience it. This monitor isn’t just a tool. It’s a gateway to game-world realism. --------------------------- Path of Exile 2 – “A grand compromise” Even with a 4070Ti, I encountered frame drops at full resolution. At one point, I genuinely considered rebuilding my entire PC. In the end, I lowered the resolution for smoother gameplay—but still, the colors and scale were absolutely insane. The UI spreads so wide that your health and mana orbs sit way past your shoulders. At first, it felt weird. But within 10 minutes, I had fully adjusted. Oddly enough, it started to feel more comfortable on the eyes. Finding the right performance settings became a mini-game of its own. Eventually, I got so immersed that I stopped noticing the size of the display. And I had to accept the fact that I wasn’t even using this monster of a screen to its full potential. --------------------------- Stardew Valley – “My eyes have tasted luxury” Let’s be real: Stardew doesn’t benefit from 330Hz. The map is small, and it doesn’t even fill the whole screen. But… The OLED color reproduction blew me away. It’s the same graphics, yet the game looks completely different. Now, I can’t go back to LED panels. My eyes just won’t accept it. My eyes have learned what luxury looks like. --------------------------- Project Zomboid – “Not made for this monitor, but still fascinating” It only supports up to 3840x2160, so the sides get cut off. Which is understandable—it’s a 2012 indie game. Font scaling was required, but frankly, it’s not worth the setup effort. Still, I wanted to include it in this review to say: Yes, some games will crop or letterbox on this ultra-wide screen. That’s something potential buyers should know. --------------------------- Monster Hunter: World – “A foggy disappointment” It technically supports 5120 resolution, but as a console-origin game, it’s clearly not optimized for ultrawide. The sides were cropped, and visuals felt slightly blurry overall. While the OLED contrast did make a few scenes stand out, the game didn’t deliver the overwhelming impact I expected. This might be due to limitations in the console-focused engine. Either way, MHW couldn’t make full use of what this display has to offer. --------------------------- RimWorld – “I can see you, Randy!!” Yes, it’s a pixel-art colony sim. Yes, this monitor and my rig are total overkill. But with the upcoming 1.6 patch and Odyssey DLC, I booted it up again. And here's the thing: “No matter what insane chaos RimWorld – “Doomed pixels never looked so wide” Yes, it’s a pixel-art colony sim. Yes, this monitor and my rig are total overkill. But with the upcoming 1.6 patch and Odyssey DLC, I booted it up again. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immersive Experience. Great for Productivity Too Upgrading to the LG 45" 5K2K ultrawide monitor has been a transformative experience. The 800R curvature offers an immersive viewing experience, especially when the screen is positioned closer, allowing me to fully engage with its expansive display. The monitor's design complements my workspace ergonomically, integrating seamlessly with my desk setup. While I plan to enhance flexibility with a monitor arm in the future, the current configuration already feels like a significant upgrade. Overall, this monitor has exceeded my expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a premium ultrawide display. Ordered it on April 3rd, paid for overnight shipping and arrived today (April 7th). Note that overnight excludes weekends. No issues with the 4080 Super + HDMI 2.1 with HRD or anything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inconsistent panel quality I ordered two of these overnight. One was canceled by LG. The other was shipped by ground. I needed them soon so I ordered two overnight from Amazon. Both came as ordered and work well. When the one from LG came I tested it to see how it compared to the Amazon order. The screen came with pronounced streaks. Pixel cleaning fixed that but with a large decrease in brightness. So I scheduled a return. The return request was accepted but a week later I still do not have a shipping label. This is a nice monitor when it works. But of the 4 that I have examined, two had sub-standard panels. I would order again but from a company with an easy return policy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Abysmal Customer Service - Lies and Delays I placed an order for this monitor on June 23rd, when it was listed as in stock. It’s now July 18th, and the order is still marked as “awaiting shipping.” I’ve contacted customer support six times. On multiple occasions, representatives falsely claimed the monitor had shipped. During my most recent call yesterday, I was told the order was canceled—without any prior notice and without my consent—despite LG having held my payment for nearly a month. This appears to violate the FTC’s Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule. Whenever I request to speak with a supervisor, I’m placed on hold for 30–45 minutes, only to be told they’re unavailable or disconnected without resolution. Customer service consistently refuses to take responsibility, citing a lack of information and deflecting with vague promises to “escalate” the issue internally. This has been the most frustrating customer service experience I’ve ever encountered. A quick online search reveals this isn’t an isolated case—there are multiple documented complaints and FTC actions involving LG.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything has been a nightmare Overall my experience has been horrible the monitor constantly black screened at least 12x per hour/ shipping date was delayed/ decided to return and I shipped it back on April 22nd and they received it on April 24th they haven’t communicated anything back with me I’ve called multiple times according to the first 2 calls they didn’t even have my monitor showing delivered to their warehouse. Finally after the 3rd call they said they see it was delivered but that warehouse is backed up currently and there’s nothing they can do about it. Asked for someone from management to call me back on Monday this week I was told 24 hrs no response still. Not a single email from them do not buy this product to many issues with the product and customer support

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice monitor, PBP/multiview mode useless This monitor looks great with video games and movies, but text seems to have quite the blur. There's a lot of nice features that come with it and the size is perfect. My biggest complaint is that PBP mode is advertised on this monitor, but it does not support multiple physical inputs. This means you can not us split screen with two devices, but instead you get a USELESS option to split one device, and a an app like youtube. I bought this originally to replace my two screens and use PBP, but it looks like that is not possible. I will be returning this to Best Buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If it worked, it would be a great monitor The picture and panel on this monitor are great, when they work. Unfortunately, it is completely unreliable. Every morning when the monitor turns on the fan will blow full speed for 30 seconds and the entire monitor will power off. Turning the monitor on again will repeat this process. I can sometimes get the monitor to stay on by unplugging and plugging back in, but it is not a long-term solution. In addition to this, sometimes the monitor will randomly turn off with no notice at all. This occurs on all video inputs. I have factory reset the monitor multiple times, checked firmware, and attempted modifying settings, but this issue persists every day. LG order support refused to exchange the monitor for a working one, stating I would have to repurchase myself (at a higher price) after returning the defective product. Tech support refused to open a case, saying that since I was still in the return window it wasn't worth the time. I would love a functioning version of this monitor, but LG is making that extremely difficult every step of the way. At this point I have no choice but to return the monitor or be stuck with it, so it's going back to LG. I really wanted to love this monitor, but this does not seem to be a reliable product. If you take the chance and are unlucky like me, your best bet is to return as soon as possible as help is hard to find.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed with LG 45GX950A – Defective Panel Disappointed with LG 45GX950A – Defective Panel & Terrible Support I purchased the LG 45GX950A with high expectations, but within just 30 days the panel started showing severe issues. The OLED suffers from noticeable light bleeding and uneven brightness that completely ruins the viewing experience. For a premium monitor, this is unacceptable. What makes this worse is LG’s customer service. Despite the monitor being only a month old, they refused to replace it outright. Instead, they insisted on sending it in for repair, leaving me without a usable monitor for 30+ days while they “fix” a product that should have been replaced under warranty. Paying this much for a flagship display only to be treated like this is beyond frustrating. LG needs to stand behind their products. Forcing customers into a repair process so soon after purchase, with no loaner or replacement option, shows a complete lack of respect for the consumer. I regret buying this monitor and would strongly caution others to think twice before trusting LG with such an expensive purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fir productivity I am not that much of a gamer, but like to run high resolution with no scaling for maximum desktop area. I always break my monitors up into area using Microsoft fancy zones so I gave specific windows for email, browser, teams, etc. I have typically used a 32” 4k monitor and took this home to try it. I was concerned about the aggressive curve and thought I would wait for the 990a. Once I used it, I loved the curve. At high resolution the aggressive curve is needed to keep things close and i loved the oled blacks and refresh as well. I play some flight simulator, etc. but for me there is no concern at all for the aggressive curve. After using this, I knew if I had a 990a, I would always keep it at most aggressive curve and it only goes down to 900R and I would want the 800R(smaller is more aggressive) the 950a has. Plus, nice getting speakers in the 950 as 990 is not supposed to have them. I really wish it had a kvm built in and would not have bought it, but remembered that my Logitech keyboard and mouse have that built in so I just bought extra dongle for my work laptop, and Mac so I could easily connect 3 computers without cable madness or nerdy external kvm. I am an older professional and just love this monitor, and I liked the matte finish better because I have a window in my office and do not care for the dungeon scene with no windows to lower glare, etc. games and work all look great. No fishbowl effect for me whatsoever and I am in my 50s and have serious job working on it 8 hours a day for past 3 months

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avoid this monitor! I had high hopes for this monitor, but after just a month of use, it’s already bricked. The fan gets extremely loud, and the monitor immediately powers off. This issue isn’t isolated; I’ve seen several other users online mention the same problem. An expensive flagship gaming monitor shouldn’t have such serious issues. To make matters worse, dealing with LG’s customer service has been a nightmare and again I’ve seen others comment about this online They’re refusing to offer a replacement and pushing for a repair that could take weeks to complete. I’m told they might not even have the parts to complete the repair right away. I’ve already been unable to use my PC for a month, going back and forth with them, and now I may not be able to use it for another month or more while waiting for a repair and who knows what condition it’ll arrive back in. The lack of flexibility and unwillingness to work with their customers to find a quick solution is appalling. I could understand if I had the monitor for almost a year, but having had it for a little over a month when it died and not being offered a replacement when I even offered to have a hold placed on my credit card is ridiculous. I strongly advise against purchasing this product. Look elsewhere. After this experience, I’ll never buy anything from LG again. What a huge disappointment!
