Bought this system about 3 months ago. the problem I have with it is that the sound bar itself WAY over-powers the sub woofer and there are NO way to control the balance between the sound bad and woofer. I have all the sound bar setting to the lowest settings available and the sub woofer to the highest and still the sound bar over-powers the woofer. Not a happy purchase for me...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible sound and great features I've been using for a couple of weeks now and I'm still constantly amazed at how well it sounds. the bass is superb, the atmos is great and all around sound is amazing. Movies are more immersive, music is awesome and general listening is terrific. Voices are crystal clear which has always been an issue with previous systems. I highly doubt any other system at this price point could match it.

The after installing the LG Soundbar app I was hopeful of controlling my LR sound setup with my phone or iPad. The app constantly reports that the LG Soundbar is offline. It connected one time in the past 3 weeks. Then it shut off. I got it during the Amazon Prime days deals frenzy so the price was too low to pass up. I'm not committed to loving it yet tbh. I am willing to try other products and review if you'd like more real voices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S90QY + OLED65C2PUA = Perfect match Since I knew modern TV speaker is 'acceptable' but not 'great,' I purchased the S90QY soundbar with my OLED TV(OLED65C2PUA) a couple of months ago. The setup with the TV was very transparent. Settings on the TV were automatic(it detected automatically). The sound quality is just eardrum-blowing. While the AI sound option is great for everyday uses, you can change the sound setting from the smartphone app per your preferences. Clear highs, subtle mids and punchy base make this speaker worth purchasing along TVs.

The only minor complaint I would have, is that the operator manual does not really give enough explanation of how the different pre-set sound modes work. Maybe serious audiophiles will understand easily, but for newbies a little more explanation would have been useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Subwoofer and Soundbar I bought the S90QY soundbar 5 months ago and the subwoofer fails to connect to soundbar and emits a loud whistling and static noise. The LG Soundbar app fails to connect to soundbar. I have the LG OLED B2 and even then the connectivity between LG OLED tv and soundbar isn't seamless

Bought this at the end of April and after listening to it - must say that the sound bar way over powers the sub-woofer. - Absolutely no controls for the balance between the sounder and woofer - I have tried EVERY sound bar setting imaginable and there is no setting I can get to make the sound bar less loud than the sub-woofer. Sound bar is just too overpowering for me.

Watching an action movie, or sporting event, is so much more immersive than with an ordinary speaker sound system. The enhancement to the viewer experience is well worth the investment.

The sound is balanced, rich, full spectrum, and not overwhelming in any music or film genre. It integrates seamlessly with the LG TV line as well as the Apple TV. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No sound I bought this soundbar about a week ago to go with my LG Tv which I’ve had for about a month. I continually have no sound on my streaming apps and have to unplug and hard reset the sound bar every time I switch to a new app or go between inputs. The only reason I got this was because I had issues connecting my old soundbar (to be fair it was about 8 years old) to my new TV. I figured going with the same brand would make things easier, it has not. Needless to say I will be returning this tomorrow, and if I still could I would return the TV. First and last LG products I purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No help in the customer service area I bought my soundbar and installed it the very next day. But unfortunately, the remote didn’t work. I have been trying for weeks to get LG to correct this issue without me returning it for such a small issue. I haven’t been successful in getting a remote sent to me or an update. I have sent all the information they asked. I guess I’m going to return the soundbar, get a refund and by a different brand. I thought that purchasing a nicer one would ease my mind on any issues, guess I was wrong

However, in order to get the sound quality where I wanted I had to update the software through the app. Once I updated the soundbar the sound quality increased (night/day difference) and I was also finally able to turn off the LED display. The app only worked once so that was a downside but I am still able to adjust the equalizer to fit the sound quality I want. Overall great system when I bought on sale. Highly recommend.

The sidebar is handsome, sounds great, and the included mounting brackets and template, make for very clean presentation. The touch icons should be lit. There are a lot of choices out there mandating a lot of research, but I feel I made the right choice.

Goodotherwise I bought this product 14 months ago, and up until a few weeks ago, greatly enjoyed having it as my main home theater system. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, the sound system stopped playing sound, from both the sound bar and soundwoofer. I hadn't had any problems up until then (we have an LG TV that the product was hooked up to), and greatly enjoyed the sound it produced. Now that we are resorting to the TV speakers, it is very noticeable the difference between this product and normal speakers, and how much better watching TV was with this product. The subwoofer added enough base, to give that powerful movie theater rumble, and the sounbar itself is one of the better sound bars I've come across this far. I've sent my soundbar in for repairs, and so depending on how that goes, will likely increase or decrease my rating. Since it was only a year and few months old, 1 star is deducted. If the repair goes well and no other issues arise, then I would certainly recommend picking this product up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this system, for music, gaming, and cinema. I love these speakers! I also bought the two rear speakers, so my review isn't 100% perfect. However, when hooked up to my OLED CX 55” while im watching movies or playing games on my xbox series X, the quality is AMAZING. The LG app is super easy to use and the different presets legit make a big difference. Cinema while on my movies, gaming while gaming works wonderfully. If you dont believe me, just forget to change the settings and youll immediately see the difference. Further the music quality with Tidal, the superior sound quality music app, when the speakers are set on Meridian, OOF, amazing high end music. I cannot recommend this system with the two rear speaker add on. Which are very affordable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great soundbar to accompany your LG OLED TV Overall I've been very happy with the S90QY sound bar. Pairs very well with my LG 77" C2 OLED TV to achieve that high quality, immersive, cinematic, home theater experience. It is very easy and straightforward to connect and setup; however in order to explore its full capabilities, you would need to download the LG Soundbar app to enable settings such as surround sound (this is off by default), AI Room Calibration, IMAX Enhanced, etc. Had issues with the app initially with connecting, but none of late. I didn't give this 5 stars because I feel like there are some areas that I feel could be better, mainly the sound quality when streaming Dolby Atmos content from platforms like HBO Max and Disney+. I cannot really tell the prominence of that 3D sound experience with the three upfiring channels when playing back Dolby Atmos movie content under the Cinema sound option. I even purchased the compatible rear speakers (SPQ8-S) to see if that Dolby Atmos experience would be noticeable, but it is not. Sounds great though with just your standard 5.1 movie content (non Dolby Atmos content). With that said, I think this is still a great high quality sound bar for the price I paid for ($700 at Best Buy), and highly recommend if you have a small-to-medium size living room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, Great Sounding System As a QNED85 owner, I have been interested in LG soundbars to match up with my TV. The subwoofer on my existing soundbar has been intermittently disconnecting and reconnecting for a while now, so I took advantage of holiday pricing and pulled the trigger on the S90QY. Props to LG for very quickly processing and shipping my order; I very happily received it on a Saturday. Set up was very easy. Just plugged in the bar and sub in the order specified and connected it to my TV via eARC. Watching movies, I feel like dialog is actually coming from people on the screen, the sound stage seems more expansive, and the sub gives nice rumble without being boomy. I have not ever tried to find out how loud it can go yet. I have also used the system for music via bluetooth connection to my phone. Music sounds great as well. The only downside is that the soundbar is large enough that it doesn't fit between the legs of my 65" TV. Otherwise, thus far, the S90QY has proved to be a versatile great sounding system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the one to buy ? Great sound, integrates with the TV makes it easy to use, they offer an optional rear speaker kit that’s made for this. It also works well my only complaint is the add on states “Wireless” that’s about 34% true you still need to wire the speakers to the wireless receiver. Other that that this is a perfect system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound This unit was very easy to install and has great sound. In my opinion it does lack an hdmi throughput and it lacks a second input. My only problem is that as of this date, I can't seem to get the Bluetooth or wifi to connect with my phone application.
