Old Unit (2025)
Horrible transparency with LG. Had to search all over to find that the processor is an Intel Ultra Core 9 285H. Additionally, they raised the retail price by $250 during a sale which negated the $250 “discount” that’s currently available. In the end, they did me a favor as I’m avoiding LG products. Better, newer, and more advanced laptops…all being less money exist elsewhere (think Costco). Thanks LG for helping me avoid a major blunder as other reviewers have complained about thermal issues plaguing them with this unit.

Very light weight and very powerful
Purchased this laptop in Nov 2025 using combined offers from LG, Paypal and Rakuten. Its been 6 months. Overall pretty good on performance and very light weight. Battery lasts longer like 10+ hours. My personal side issue is, I use home and end buttons a lot. Though the keyboard is pretty big, they could have made separate buttons for home and end buttons. Second drawback is, while you type, your hand keeps touching the trackpad which is little annoying. Considering the price in three digits and super high configuration, it is very good

Power delivers and amazing sound quality
I am a LG employee and I received a sample of the LG gram to try. This is my honest review of the product. All opinions expressed in this post are personal and should not be attributed to LG.
The battery life on the LG Gram 17Z90TR is great. On lighter days, I can run it from morning till night without even thinking about charging, and even with heavier use, it still lasts way longer than most laptops I’ve owned. Performance holds up just as well. The processor stays quick even when I’m doing multiple tasks, and the cooling system does a good job of keeping temps in check without blasting loud fan noise. Lastly, the sound quality, I am surprised. The built-in speakers were great better than I expected. 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos make movies and games sound fuller and more immersive than I expected from something this light. And even with using the earphone, the sound quality is amazing. I am enjoying very much while I play games or watch movies.
No regrets choosing this laptop.

No doubt it brings out perfect usability
As an LG employee, I received a sample to try out.
I'm happy I got the chance to test it before deciding to buy a new laptop like the M4 MacBook.
I currently use two laptops: a MacBook Pro for work and an HP Omen for gaming. The main reason I’ve been wanting a new one is that both are quite heavy to carry around. Even when I bring a portable monitor, the overall weight makes it hard to go far. But after trying this laptop, I’m very satisfied with how it performs for both work and gaming. The weight is especially impressive—it’s much lighter than my other laptops, which makes it easy to take to nearby parks or cafes. Oh, and the sound quality is surprisingly good too. I wouldn’t say it’s the top gaming laptop out there, but I can definitely say it’s a very useful one for gaming.
I also played Diablo 4 on it, and it ran smoothly even on full performance settings.

Gaming on the go without breaking your back!
I am a LG employee and I received a sample of the LG gram to try. This is my honest review of the product. All opinions expressed in this post are personal and should not be attributed to LG.
I didn’t think a 17-inch laptop could feel this light, but the Gram proved me wrong. Coming from a Lenovo Legion that weighs over five pounds and feels like a small brick, the LG Gram 17Z90TR was a shock. The Legion was never fun to carry around due to its size and weight. I couldn't imagine bringing it when traveling.
The 17Z90TR, on the other hand, is ridiculously light and thin for a 17-inch laptop. I tossed it in my bag and walked to a friend’s place with no sore shoulders, no bulky charger weighing me down. It’s great to just grab and go.
Once I fired it up for some gaming, I was actually impressed. The large display made everything look sharp and clean, and the high refresh rate kept gameplay smooth. I was satisfied with the RTX 5050 it ran light or heavy games without stutter, which I honestly didn’t expect from something this light and thin.
It’s powerful enough to game on but still feels like an ultra-portable. With most gaming laptops, you trade portability for performance. You either carry a brick or settle for weak graphics. The 17Z90TR somehow pulls off both. The price is still on the higher side, but considering the portability and specs, I’d still lean toward picking the Gram over bulkier and heavier options.

Overpriced Laptop.
I have had an LG Gram for about 2.5 years, and after a full charge, the battery lasts only about 3 hours before I have to recharge it again. I also have problems with its keyboard. After shutting down the laptop, the keyboard doesn't work until I restart it. For the price of this laptop, I should get better performance and battery life.

CES 2025 Excited for release!
I’ve been waiting for this laptop since I saw the release version at CES 2025. It’s the lightest laptop with the best processor gpu combo that I’ve seen on the market. Still have to check battery life, but if it compares to the current lg grams it’ll be great. Had a discussion with one of the engineers on the product(CES 2025) and was very impressed with the design considerations that went into the system such as the heat dissipation which is a huge issue with other rtx 50 series laptops.
For those looking for this from a graphics perspective I had a laptop with a 1060 6gb GDDR5 of storage throughout undergrad and was able to run smoothly solidworks, creo, complex MATLAB sims, and train nn models.
Overall just really excited that it’s being released!!!

Laptop on the go
I’ve been using a Lenovo Legion for a while, and that thing is a tank. Over five pounds, thick, and the brick like charger. Not exactly fun to carry around. So when I got my hands on the LG Gram 17Z90TR, it was a total game changer. For a 17 inch laptop, it’s insanely light at just over three pounds. I tossed it in my bag, walked over to my friend’s place easy. No sore shoulders, no bulky charger weighing me down. just grab and go.
Once I turned on some gaming, I was actually impressed. The big display made everything look sharp and clean, and the refresh rate kept gameplay feeling smooth. It handled ray tracing without melting down and still kept the frame rates steady. Even heavier games ran fine without stutter, which I wasn’t expecting from something this light.
It’s powerful enough to game on but still feels like an ultra portable. With most gaming laptops, you trade portability for performance. You either carry a brick or settle for weak graphics. The Gram somehow pulls off both. It’s the kind of laptop you can throw in a bag, go anywhere, and still have a legit gaming session without feeling like you packed a desktop tower.

Powerful and Super Lightweight Gaming Laptop

Super impressed with the LG Gram Pro. It’s insanely lightweight for how much power it packs. Coming from an Acer gaming laptop, this one is such a difference. The RTX 5050 GPU and new-gen processor easily handle everything I need. I was running Valorant on max settings with super smooth gameplay and it also ran all of my other games with no problems. The display is super vivid and the colors are great. I really appreciate the 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of SSD storage since a lot of the apps I use are memory-heavy and I have a lot of larger files. I was looking for a more powerful work/gaming station that I can use on the go and I think this is it!

Exactly what I needed in a Laptop
The LG Gram with the Intel Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5050 has been perfect for my setup. It’s super compact and fits nicely on my desk without taking up much space. Gaming performance has been great! it runs everything I play really smoothly and meets all my needs. It’s light, fast, and just does the job without any fuss. Honestly, it's exactly what I was looking for in a laptop.

Very Powerful, Lightweight, and Versatile Laptop
This is one of the best laptops I’ve owned. Very lightweight and thin, but also has enough power for photo and video editing as well as gaming on the go. Whenever I throw it in my bag, I can hardly feel the difference. The 16” display is large enough to have a large workspace without being overly bulky. The colors are vibrant and everything looks smooth and sharp. The speakers sound great for whenever I’m watching movies, editing, or gaming without headphones. I work with a lot of large video and photo files and the combination of the Ultra 9 processor, RTX5050, and 32GB of RAM let me easily handle editing and rendering without it slowing down the computer. All of the games that I’ve played so far have let me run at max settings without seeing a noticeable drop in fps. This is a huge plus for whenever I want to game when I am traveling or stuck at the airport. They also include a USBC to Ethernet adapter in the box which is great for when I need to hardwire an internet connection. If you’re looking for an ultra portable gaming/heavy duty machine, this would be it!
