I also love the ability to automatically adjust the screen to whatever position the machine is in. It's small in size so you can take it with you anywhere. I'm looking forward to fall camping.

After some difficulties getting the right resolution, LG customer service have stepped up and are working diligently to resolve the issues. Service with a personal touch has turned around a rocky start. I will update review once I have received the replacement issue.

I called the day it delivered and was assured replacement parts were being sent out and I would receive an email. I didn’t and then when I emailed I got no response. Currently on hold with LG again and being told it will be 24 hours before I can speak to a supervisor. They charged my card and are giving me the run around and from the review here it’s happened to someone else. Customer service has been awful and I will never order LG again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extreme latency issues I just received this today and am really disappointed. The latency of web os is just about unusable, sometimes taking minutes to respond. I upgraded the software with the same result. And no Hulu? Doesn't make sense. I'm regretting this purchase. It could be the best picture ever, if I have to wait 5-10 min to get a movie started, it's not worth the $1k+.

Picture is great, auto adjustment is great, webOS is good enough to handlee most apps and if it doesn't, there's airplay. pros: almost perfect cons: onboard speakers aren't much. you're gonna want a bluetooth one. remote is a bit finicky if the projector is behind you

Cons: 1. Auto focus will not working on big screen. My experience is it starts at really sharp and then gradually out of focus. I turned off the auto focus right now. It be a software issue. 2. The build in speaker is not good enough for a TV. I am using the Bluetooth speaker come from the promotion. 3. The remote is not a Bluetooth remote. I have to point it to the projector to use apps, adjust settings and etc. luckily I have a TiVo stream 4K. The remote from TiVo free me from have to point to the projector to use apps.

And this totally blows it away in all categories. . I am obviously going to be sending the Sam… freestyle 2 back asap, as you’ll see in pic#1. It’s still light outside and look how bright the projector is on my ceiling !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Design but Disappointing. I was really looking forward to this projector when I saw it at CES this year. The included XBOOM speaker and virtual Mastercard were a nice bonus as well, considering the high price point. But after just receiving the projector today I am very disappointed. It's a wonderful design, but I was disappointed that it came with a bulky power brick and the internal speaker is AWFUL. My plan was to use this by itself and be as minimal as possible. Not to mention the fan inside is also very noisy. I've used and owned much cheaper Anker Nebula projectors in the past that perform much better and have way better sound. So this leaves me no other option but to return.

I didn't have high expectations because I had the impression that projectors are not as bright as TVs, but the first night I used it I was surprised at the size and brightness of the screen. With modern technology, it's possible to make things that bright. I just bought it, so I don't know how durable it is, but so far she and I are very happy with it.

This is my first time owning a projector so I can’t really compare it with other products but I personally think it’s definitely something anyone could fall in love with ?? The design is so sleek and modern and the build feels really solid. It’s super compact and convenient so I carry it everywhere. I had a movie night with my friends, used it for night pool party, and the most amazing part is when I use it for those fake window screen to fill like im in Hawaiiii. The colors are super vibrant, and the details are really sharp and crisp. It’s like having a theater right in my own home. I’m not a tech savvy person so I was little bit worried about setting it up but it was surprisingly easy!!!! I just literally need to plug it in and thats it! Wi-fi and bluetooth gets connected instantly so I can stream my daily workout youtube on my wall while I workout. I definitely recommend buying this projector!!!!

Tried emailing different email addresses and called different service lines they provided online and in order confirmation emails. I never received the stand or speaker. So don't bother getting this for the free stand and free speaker bundle. In my situation I needed the stand for it to work conveniently otherwise I wouldn't have even given it a shot. Its okay at what its supposed to do. The sound is trash need a speaker as well! I think I got in touch after a long hold and the guy couldn’t help me. Basically said my order is in limbo and he didn’t know what to do. After that phone call I waited a week and decided to try and start a return for a refund and still cant get in touch.

I’ve previously owned the nebula capsule 3 and the 4k cinebeam is sooo much better in terms of resolutions, brightness, ease of use and style. Definitely worth the higher price point. Cons: the internal speaker is not great so plan to use an external speaker and the top of the projector runs hot. Otherwise it’s a fun portable projector for family get togethers and movie night. My little one calls it the magic tv.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most beautiful projector with amazing quality My dream of having backyard movie nights is a REALITY thanks to the LG Cinebeam Q 4K Smart Portable Projector. I have never seen a projector that looks like this before. I love the sleek and aesthetic design, it’s super small (5.5” long) and lightweight. It was easy to set up out of the box, connected to our home wifi and synced with my phone so we could play a movie. It probably took 5 minutes start to finish! The picture quality is AMAZING! It’s very sharp and the color is very good. We started our movie when it was dusk not completely dark and were still able to see the movie well. I know some people commented on the internal speakers but we honestly don’t intend to use them at all – it’s either going to be headphones so we don’t annoy the neighbors or a portable speaker to give a cinematic experience. It also shipped perfectly with everything we expected in the box. My one complaint is that the remote only works if you point it exactly at the back not from the front or side which is cumbersome. I literally had to pinch myself last night when we were watching the movie. It was just so amazing! It was easy to give this a five-star review and I would give it more stars if I could.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST Portable Projector The size, weight, build quality, and thoughtful design are not the only impressive features. The top three features I love are: First, the autofocus feature. No matter what angle I placed the projector at, it automatically adjusted the screen and displayed a perfectly rectangular quality image. It did a phenomenal job adapting the display wherever I placed it. Second, the quality and brightness of the projector are remarkable. I expected a loss in quality as I left the curtains open, but even with natural light, the video quality was excellent. Third, the apps for all my streaming services are pre-installed, so logging in and going straight to a video was simple and easy. It has Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and YouTube. All of these features contributed to a fast, easy setup for our son to watch his favorite shows, while giving mom and dad more time to rest and relax! Thank you, LG!

ALL OPINIONS EXPRESSED IN THIS POST ARE PERSONAL AND SHOULD NOT BE ATTRIBUTED TO LG.” Having a very small form factor, the Cinebeam Q is extremely portable making it very convenient to be used in a variety of places – movie nights outdoor in the summer and indoor in the winter or even when traveling. The picture quality is great, even in not the darkest of situations. It was very easy and quick to setup. One thing to note is that the auto-alignment did not work great and kept aligning the frame slanted. It was easy to fix this by performing a manual alignment. However, when something / someone crossed in-front of the projector the auto-alignment kicked in again and messed up the alignment, so the auto-alignment had to be turned off. The WebOS version that is on the Cinebeam Q is an older version than the WebOS running on the LG TVs so if you have an LG TV the experience is different. In addition, not all apps are supported on the older version like YouTube TV. The CineBeam Q remote is an IR remote, so in case you are sitted in front of it, you have to get behind it and point it to the back side of the Cinabeam Q for it to work. Also the Cinebean Q is not supported by the LG ThinQ app so you can’t monitor and control it from the app.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Near Perfect Speaker I'm really not sure why most of the reviews here are throwing shade. A few seem to be postage handling problems and a few seem to be people that did no research into the unit before buying. Noted some mention missing peices but if only two people have mentioned it here out of the thousand's that bought the unit I wouldn't worry. The two biggest points - portability and speaker output where very very well documented in pre release reviews. For me portability isn't and issue. A 12V battery pack plugged in via the DC port has solved the issue of this being tethered to a wall outlet. The speaker is very very basic, well documented before release. Think the same level as your phone speakers, it should be noted personally I think a speaker shouldn't be included at all, if the integrated speakers were any stronger then noticeable shake might be introduced to thre image quality during loud scenes? (I know my portable speakers vibrate like crazy on loud volume) 100% invest in a Bluetooth speaker or headset for any quality audio. Video quality is amazing for the size. Crisp and colourful in the right environments. Note even a small amount of ambient light will wash the image out. But watching in dark is a great experience. At 120" though I have noticed some bluring of the image as time progresses requiring a re focus (hopefully can be fixed with a future software update) Build quality is excellent, no issues with my unit or postage. My remote works as intended and I have no issues with connectivity or responsiveness (though the remote seems to be a massive afterthought) for gen2 please LG give more focus to the remote and its athetics. My usage is: Camping, use in my CamperVan and at home move nights with the kid all of which this unit for me is best in class.

The auto adjust feature is great when I move it from room to room. The only downside is that HBO Max, Hulu, and Crunchyroll are not available. For the price, I wish it would have more apps. Huge bummer but hopefully they will get those apps soon.

Previously owned a little cheaper Projector from another company that was about $600. But what I like the most about LG CineBeam is that I can watch videos even with lights on or in brighter settings. Sounds itself is good enough as well but I like connecting my speakers with it for better sounding. I like the design as well I can carry this anywhere and watch NBA Playoffs at my friends house or outdoor.

I received it over a week ago and have yet to use it as it was inadequately packaged for shipping and was received water damaged on a sunny, rainless day. I immediately contacted customer service and received no response. I tried using the customer service chat and was told my best course of action was to call. When I called I was repeatedly bounced back and forth between customer service and the warranty department as neither felt it was within their purview. This we t on for the better part of an hour. Finally I messaged LG on Facebook at which point I received a generic response to the third email I had sent that didn't answer my questions at all. It's been over a week now and I still have no answers. Every time I reach out by Facebook Messenger I'm told to "please be patient" and that this has been "escalated". So to recap, I have yet to be able to use the unit as LG offers no customer service or support. Its a wonderful paperweight though.

This projector was the best decision of the year by far! I would highly recommend it! It was compact, yet efficient with the ability to stream apps like Netflix and AirPlay to put any video on the big screen. There is an adjustable handle that allows you to tilt it at any angle and the video will also auto adjust to fit any surface. Review submitted as part of a program that provides a purchase discount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for specific usecases The projector is aesthetically pleasing, great screen quality, and can easily project to many different surfaces with easy calibration. The picture quality functions well in the dim to dark lighting. The speakers are very basic, you should make sure to have a bluetooth speaker to hook on to since it's basically the same as a phone speaker. The remote issues are definitely annoying, because of the IR you have to get up to point the remote for it to work. I did get the leather case after emailing customer support but it's not the most appealing to look at so i wouldn't keep it on. Overall it fit my use case for portability and i'm happy with the purchase.

I needed a solution for a tv in my bedroom, that didn’t take over the decor, and this was the perfect fix. It’s much brighter than other “designer” options I have tested during the day. Though if I’m being honest, I use this for casual viewing. My cinephile partner loves it too, but his attuned eye does notice its downfalls. My only disappointments are the remote, and the speakers. But quickly purchased a HomePod and Apple TV that connect seamlessly. Yes, it’s a pricy. But I’m a picky designer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad design flaws I was really excited for this compact, portable projector. But there are a few things I'm unhappy with. One, there is tripod mount. By having a thread in the bottom for the projector this could easily be set on a tripod, however they did not build that in. Now I'm searching for a solution to connect it to tripod. Two, the remote is garbage. You have to point it directly at the projector in close range and it only works about a third of the time you press a button. Three, there is no charging of the projector, thus it needs to be plugged in constantly and if you want to project onto a ceiling, you can't rest it on the back of the projector because that's where the power cord and button are. This also brings me back to the tripod mount problem because if I were able to attach it to a tripod I could point it vertically using a tripod, but alas, nope.

The 2 main issues I have with it are the remote is garbage, it has to point directly at the front of the projector anytime you want to use it. The 2nd issue is it has trouble auto adjusting on any kind of color except white. I have an accent wall in my bedroom that is a very light red and it could never auto adjust correctly. If i use it on a plain white wall it works fantastic. For what i'm using it for in a dark room it's great but it does have it's flaws.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty happy with it TL;DR Pros: Easy setup, premium look and feel, WebOS is intuitive, picture quality Cons: No available protective case, awful internal sound, remote control is IR, no internal or external battery I'm about a day into my ownership of the CineBeam Q and overall, I'm pretty happy with it. First things first, it's pretty expensive and I'm surprised it doesn't ship with protective case of some sort. Actually I have yet to find an official (or unofficial) protective case on sale anywhere as of yet which is baffling for an item that is suppose to be portable. I would probably think twice about taking my unprotected projector anywhere so make a case LG! Oh and a battery would be great.... (u know, portable and all) Moving on... the projector does the basics really well. The look and feel of the product is definitely premium, unboxing and setting it up is a breeze and i'm overall a fan of LG WebOS (although I can't seem to find the Hulu app in the this LG content store even though it's present on my LG CX 77...weird). The picture is crisp on a white wall and I'm interested to see how it performs once I get my projector screen. The auto focus feature is works as intended and finding the optimal position for viewing was relatively easy to figure out. Now for my gripes....the internal audio is awful. I'm not an audiophile by any stretch but its just bad. Luckily I got the free Bluetooth speaker promotion and I have to say, the LG XBOOM XO2TBK speaker is pretty awesome. The setup was easy (how hard can a bluetooth setup be tbh) and the sound quality definitely did pleasantly surprise me. I really recommend it! If you get this projector, you have to get an external speaker (don't think, just buy one...trust me). Final annoyance (and this one really gets me)... the remote control is IR. Like, it requires that you point at an IR receiver to work. My issue with this is that its not always easy to be in the right position (facing somewhere behind the projector I think) for the direct link to be done. Useability wise, it's annoying. I get that this is not a TV, its a projector. Fine but I'm willing to bet that everyone that uses a remote somewhat points it at the screen you are watching when you are navigating the menu looking for a show, not pointing it behind you or to the side or wherever you setup up your projector. This product is so close to being great, I'm sure I might find some more little issues here and there after some more usage but overall I'm happy with this product and I intend to keep it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad service, average product I second Jab123... I bought it because I saw it as a good deal as it comes with a free stand and an XBOOM bluetooth speaker. I received the projector first. Sound is bad, picture is okay in a very dark room, image was darker than expected and over saturated, skin tone was horrible. Definitely not made for bright rooms. The free stand and speaker weren't delivered and support didn't help so I'm returning the product.

Extremely easy to setup and use. I love the autofocus and color that this plays. I was able to use in both well lit areas and darker rooms without compromising the picture quality and color. I had this playing in a wall right next to 3 windows where the blinds were half open. No issues at all. Comes with a remote and built in speaker.

ALL OPINIONS EXPRESSED IN THIS POST ARE PERSONAL AND SHOULD NOT BE ATTRIBUTED TO LG.” Having a very small form factor, the Cinebeam Q is extremely portable making it very convenient to be used in a variety of places – movie nights outdoor in the summer and indoor in the winter or even when traveling. The picture quality is great, even in not the darkest of situations. It was very easy and quick to setup. One thing to note is that the auto-alignment did not work great and kept aligning the frame slanted. It was easy to fix this by performing a manual alignment. However, when something / someone crossed in-front of the projector the auto-alignment kicked in again and messed up the alignment, so the auto-alignment had to be turned off. The WebOS version that is on the Cinebeam Q is an older version than the WebOS running on the LG TVs so if you have an LG TV the experience is different. In addition, not all apps are supported on the older version like YouTube TV. The CineBeam Q remote is an IR remote, so in case you are sitting in front of it, you have to get behind it and point it to the back side of the CinaBeam Q for it to work. Note that to add the CineBeam Q to the ThinQ app you have to add it as if it is a TV. Once added you can control it all from the app, eliminating the issue mentioned with the IR remote control.

First off, it's super compact and easy to carry around, which is perfect for movie nights on the go or even just moving it from room to room. The picture quality is surprisingly good for its size—bright enough for dim settings and sharp enough for casual viewing. Setting it up was a breeze, and I love that it has built-in apps, so I didn’t need to connect my laptop every time. The speakers are decent, though if you're after a more immersive experience, I'd recommend hooking up external speakers. Battery life is solid for a mini projector too. Overall, it's a handy little device that punches above its weight in terms of convenience and picture quality. 4/5 due to the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GIVE ME MY REFUND Does not deserve even one star. My CineBeam stopped working in less than a month (power issue). I sent it back for repair more than 2 months ago. But I was told you guys "lost" the package. I was told I'd be contacted regarding the refund. But after over two months and COUNTLESS calls/chats, I am still without my refund. I am tired of wasting my time calling you to resolve this with your agents tossing the bucket to one another. Not only is the product a pretty piece of garbage, your service is abysmal and you guys should be ashamed that you charge such a high price for it. Horrible product and service. Life ain't "good" with LG for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 4K portable projector! My husband and I were looking to replace a tv in our back living area and we stumbled on the idea of a home projector. We had taken our first family road trip and it would have been so ideal to be able to have one to take on the go so we can stream the kids favorite movies and shows. This projector is literally what we were looking for. We watched a ton of cost effective projector reviews on YouTube and LG was an easy choice! This projector is compact, Easy to move from room to room, It does have a speaker built-in, but you can also connect your sound bar to it, But our favorite feature is the fact that the picture auto adjusts. With a toddler and not the full set up for one yet- if they happen to pick it up or move it, it will auto adjust so that way the picture is straight and framed correctly. The picture is great, and the kids have loved watching nature videos blown up on the wall. I would love in the future if they had an option to have a battery built in where I could take this on the go without being plugged in for use. The only other con I would say is that the remote has to be pointed at the projector for it to work, which is tough if we had it hung up it wouldn’t register if we were sitting facing the wall lol. But over all, we are so beyond pleased with our choice. The kids love it and we are looking forward to more family movie nights!

Movies and Youtube videos have been great only downside is if you have game consoles like we do in my household, it may lag a bit. It's not a crazy problem but I can see a few gamer heads get game rage in the case their game is lagging.

Also, when I put the projector on a shelf, the image is too large, I put it on the table and it is too small. No way to adjust this, I figured this was standard with a projector.

Today, I came home and it refused to start. I hear it’s fan spinning for 20 seconds and then it would just shut off. I paid a lot of money for it. I was hoping to use it for years.

Be sure the bottom phillips screw is tight to ensure the bottom rod piece is Tight to the base . make shift screen : hang a Black King Size bed sheet next hang a White King Size bed sheet on top of the Black sheet. this is giving very nice results Games run as good as on a 50 inch TV . at 120 inch , the 4k provides brilliant color with very smooth motion and responce . how a projector produces Black, on a White screen is an optical illusion , search it on google . this projector at 500 lumens is not enough for use on a Black bed sheet . from what i have seen , either an 85 inch TV or this projector . Fantastic projector , LG served it up right . at about triple the price of many 300 dollar projectors, that run 1080 , No HDR . compare the features and price . it will be a sad day when the lamp goes out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Camping & Backyard Movie Night Full disclosure, I'm an LG employee so I got a discount on this projector. It's been the perfect upgrade for my camping and backyard setup. The picture quality is great, the portability is great, and the auto-focus and auto-keystone make it a snap to set up. Also, it runs on 45 watts of DC power through the USB-C port, so I can power it easily anywhere and I don't have to lug the power brick around. I also love that it connects to two Bluetooth devices at the same time so my wife and I can have movie night in the back yard using headphones and not bother the neighbors. All in all, I'm very happy with it. I considered taking one star off because the app store is missing a few popular apps, and the lack of a carrying case, but these are nits. I found an inexpensive camera case on Amazon that works well.

The projector itself is great for its size with great 4k picture quality and has good brightness if you are using it in a dark room. The auto correction is very good however the projector somewhat suffers some shadow when projecting from an angle. The small size makes it very portable while the sleek box design make it looks like a cool piece of tech that you don’t need to hide away when not using. Given the size it is hard to squeeze in some good internal speaker so just bear in mind that the sound will be a bit underwhelming. On the other hand, LG’s customer service is terrible and good luck if you would need their help with your order as you will be sent around in circle and being ignored. I bought the projector during the sale with a speaker and a stand for the speaker included, however the stand never arrived and it has been a nightmare trying to get hold of customer service to resolve the issue as I have now been asked to return the stand while I have never received it!

Picture quality is great, however the sound quality is terrible making it tricky to use in the outdoors (my purpose of buying this). The internal fan is pretty loud and I’m pretty sure my unit is defective as it sounds like the fan is hitting something as it spins.
