The lg g4 futures a MlA 2.0 meta panel making the overall screen brightness up to 3,000 nits and color brightness up to 1,500 nits due to the eco color enhancer this makes a average peak hdr brightness of 2,500nits. This display beats Sony in processing for filmmaker and cinematic modes for movies by its alpha 11 gen 10 ai processor with over 4x the power.

Pure blacks with greatly increased brightness!
We are loving LG's 83" G4 MLA OLED TV! All content, cable, streaming and Blu-ray discs all looks awesome.
I purchased the TV From Value Electronics and they sent two technicians to deliver and set-up the TV beautifully! One funny thing the owner of Value Electronics said to me actually came true. He said the one thing to be warned about before you purchase this TV is that you will never want to leave your house if you buy the TV. Well it's true we're watching all of our old favorite movies again and I can't stop watching and seeing things I never saw before.

I just received my Oled 83 g4, I called the customer service to ask if the wall mount included or not, service agent A told me No, I need to side purchase. Then I called back to confirm with service agent B, he told me it’s included, when I’m trying to ask if the g4 stand released yet, they were so confused, they either give me the stand information for g3 or transfer me among the service, specialist and tv department, they have no knowledge at all about LG, after 2 hours talking to the service people, I still haven’t got the answer “ Is the stand for oled g4 released yet, if yes, what’s the model # so I can order or preorder”

Incredible upgrade for 83" owners
I have owned LG OLED TV's dating all the way back to 2015, with owning a set from almost each year since then. MLA was touted as an impressive upgrade last year, but the 83" was left out... that ends now. MLA is here for the 83" size, and it is a sight to behold. The brightness increase and HDR impact are very noticeable over typical OLED TVs. The alpha 11 processor is also a welcome change, with noticeably improved picture quality, minute detail adjustment capability, and extremely snappy OS navigation. Low APL scene content has also been dramatically improved in terms of color saturation retention and chrominance overshoot improvements. This is my first OLED upgrade (of many) apart from size increases where I truly feel like I'm experiencing a generational leap.

Amazing in every way. LG is the King of OLED's since the beginning. They had some worthy challengers of late but the G4 reasserts their absolute dominance again. I had a Samsung S90c 77" for two months before taking iy back. It was cheap feeling, not at all sturdy or stiff and ended up bending the frame twice with a light to moderate flex. It's software was atrocious (Tizen)... slow, laggy, immune to any picture adjustments and stuck on Store Demo mode with overblown color. It looks like a kiddie tv.

Horrendous Support from LG
Unfortunately 3 weeks after installing my OLED83G4 began to shut off while watching. Now it won’t display an image at all. Service appointment set and they failed to show. I’ve contacted LG Support for the last 13 days with multiple escalations and still no progress on my repair/replacement. Even worse is the lack of response from LG. Absolutely inexcusable for a TV at this price bought directly from LG from a loyal LG consumer. Own the issue and stand behind your product.

Best picture quality we have ever seen on a TV
We replaced our 82" Sharp Aquos 1080P television with this 83-Inch CLASS OLED G4 Series TV with WEBOS. The picture quality is stunning and the setup was easy. We were able to use the same wall mount in our theater room, so we didn't have to drill any more holes in the wall.
We waited until this year's 2024 83" LG G4 model because we wanted to have the Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology for better brightness. We love the large screen which has a small bezel so the picture really stands out.
It was worth the wait and we are very pleased. We ordered the TV straight from the LG site which was a smooth process. Shipping and setup were free and we added the additional two-year warranty.
If you are looking for a great 83" 4K TV with a stunning picture, this is the one you want.

Faulty HDMI Port 2 (Arc) Scrambled Video
I am writing this review in hopes of getting LG's attention on this widespread problem on the G4's. I bought my 83" G4 through Best Buy earlier this month. I too am getting this fatal error. The display will be scrambled if you switch from an onboard app like YouTube after 10 mins of watching to anything such as my bluray player or PS5 that is connected through a receiver to the eARC port (HDMI 2).
I googled my issue and have found forum threads and Reddit posts with the exact same issue with pictures showing the exact same type of scrambled video displays.
I called LG and could only talk to call centers who say this issue is unknown to LG.
I have initiated a return and replacement through Best Buy. I hope the new TV does not have the same problem. I would give this TV 5 out of 5 stars if it weren't for this major fault.

Looks great when it works….
I’ve had this tv for about a month. First issue I had out the box is a faulty hdmi2 input (earc). Sometimes it would work most of the time . I’ve read on certain AV forums that this is a widespread issue on the G4 models. Last week I went to turn the tv on and nothing. The red power light blinks 4 times then stops. I called a service shop and they inspected the tv. Turns out I need a new panel. Tv is currently laying on my kitchen waiting to get fixed. $6500 I wish I had back . Not a happy customer.

Top of the line for 2024!!
As a consumer, I've been thoroughly impressed with the LG G4 OLED TV. The picture quality is simply outstanding, with colors that pop and blacks that are deep and true, bringing movies and games to life in a way I hadn't experienced before. The a9 Gen5 AI Processor does a great job of upscaling content, so everything I watch looks sharp, even if it's not in 4K. The design is sleek and fits perfectly in my living room, complementing my decor without being obtrusive. I also appreciate the smart features, which are intuitive and make streaming from my favorite services seamless. The remote is user-friendly, and navigating through the menu is a breeze. It's definitely a purchase I feel good about, giving me a cinema-like experience right at home.

HDMI 2 Issues Beware
Do your research before buying. Currently experience defective picture going through HDMI 2. The only port with eARC. Dealing with customer service has been difficult and responses have been unacceptable. LG replaced the first TV, now the second is showing the same issue. More info on AVS forum. Search “ LG OLED G4 HDMI2 issues! Beware!” and you will see how wide spread the issue is. Looks like all sizes are affected. Evidently it is known by LG but no response or info as of yet. Would not recommend buying until issues are resolved. Have spent over 12 hours total talking to customer service. For such a high price this has been a terrible experience.
