TV doesn't work
I bought this TV and 2 days later the screen went out, took 3 weeks to get a replacement, and the replacement was damaged, now I am getting the run around from LG customer service. I would love the TV I purchased, but instead I get a company that would rather give me the run around about things I have no control over.

Poor reliability
Display failed at 2 years 4 months will never buy another LG product. Horizontal lines across the screen with a fade out at the bottom. Money is too had to come by these days with products that don't last. So disappointed.

Good luck if you need support
Failed after 6 weeks. Tv won't respond to remote. LG insisted on sending a new remote eventhough remote works with other tvs. New remote didn't fix issue. Now 3 weeks later still waiting for them to even schedule on-site repair. Nice 86inch brick right now.

First part of the review is gonna tell it like it is this is a real story FedEx drop it off in my hands from the truck and it was smashed in the box screen destroyed. I called LG to get it replaced exchanged instead they refunded my money and now I want to charge me $70 more for the same product LG LG stand for lights not good that’s what it should say because your products suck including the washing machine. I only got 20 uses out of a purchase brand new in October. It’s now in the trash dump $700. I had to throw away your TV the same thing I will never buy another LG product as long as I live your products suck your people suck. Your customer service sucks even more.

Not a happy camper
It was great when we first got it, but after a month and a half it stopped working. Just a black screen. I can hear it, but that is it. It is going on almost 4 weeks and no one has come to repair it. My case got closed, then reopened, someone said they did the repair and did not. When it got reopened, I am still waiting on the tech to call and schedule but that has not happened yet.

I have not yet connected the new Tv. However, Bernique was a big help getting this issue resolved. Your assortment of robots and cryptic messages and emails was not at all impressive.

Lights on the bottom and top. Something looks wron
Bought this TV less than 2 months ago and there are balls of lights on the top and the bottom that shine through into the rest of the TV. It's very distracting and looks like something's wrong. When I buy a TV this big I expect a high standard. LG really disappointed me. Beware buying this TV.

The bass was so deep, as I couldn't hear much. LG tech support had no clue and told me to get in touch of dealers. I figured it on my own and the bass is lowered from a diagnosis and upped the tone

Needs a quality remote
This TV is in my living room and works great. In fact I bought three LG TVs to replace items after a fire and very happy with the TV. The problem I have is with the remote. It is very generic and does not work with the features offered with the TV. Like Alexa Voice. For the money spent for the TV, it should come with what LG calls the Magic Remote. This has Alexa and a pointer to contrl the TV. LG requires you buy the remote seperate at an additional cost. I would just rather them include that in the price of TV. The Magic Remote also should ahve a backlight When watching TV in low light it would be helpful if the remote lit up. The actuall TV is Great. It gets a 4 out of 5 star because of the remote. The remote that comes with the TV is actual awkward to use

Fantastic Picture Quality!
Just bought this LG TV as a replacement for my living room tv that suddenly dead. The picture quality is simply amazing. I had a 4K tv before but this LG TV is on a different level entirely. Movies look so clear and life like it seems you’re siting there in the movie.

Very Pleased
My last LG gave out after 15 years of being on nearly all the time. So of course when looking for a new one I started with LG and am so happy with my purchase. It's been great, the picture, sound quality and features are awesome. It took a bit to set up and get signed into the LG app but one I did everything was a breeze. I compared it to other TVs at a similar price point but LG had far better features and reviews and the TV has been such an upgrade.

Great TV With One Huge Flaw
Great tv but getting rid of the mini-plug and leaving the optical port as the only audio connection was a supremely dumb and customer-unfriendly move. The mini-plug is nowhere near obsolete. But now, thanks to your decision, my sound system is. (I realize this candid review will keep me from winning, but you claimed you wanted my honest opinion.)

I wanted to upgrade my bedroom TV and this set was exactly what I wanted. It fit the area I had for it perfectly. I wasn’t looking for a lot of bells a whistles- just a basic smart TV. The picture is fantastic and it was very easy to set up

WORST TV EVER!
If there were a "ZERO" star rating, we would give a 0. The TV was the worst TV imaginable and we literally threw it away yesterday... we had it 36 days. LG REFUSED to stand behind it... they said they would "send a technician" rather than replace a TV that was less than 40 days old. It turned off randomly, it asked us to "re-enter" all of the set up data five or six times from day one to day 36. It would turn off and have to "hard start" in order to turn on at all and finally, it just did not turn on at all. After calling LG for a full week, we gave up and threw it away. WORST TV EVER!!! LG DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS

Solid TV for Xbox and movies

okay for the cost, but not very responsive
I bought this TV a couple months ago and am happy with the sound and picture quality. The remote is very busy with lots of buttons and feels cheap. I like the "Netflix" button to quickly get to the app I like, but the buttons are very small. I am not crazy about the operating system: it is slow to boot up and to respond to selections on the remote, however the shortcut feature does not work, despite following the instructions in the booklet. I have yet to figure out how to select channels to watch other than scrolling through each and every channel. Very time consuming. Not sure I would recommend this TV only because of the operating system.

Great for a cheap tv
I got this tv a couple months ago. I touched the border and a line appeared across my tv. It took about two weeks for someone to come out. He replaced the panel and then there was a glow spot at the bottom. It was pretty cheap for the size.

Beautiful picture and sound!
We bought the TV in March, but did not hook it up until October. We were amazed at the color and sound we received. The smart TV was smarter than us, and we had to get some assistance to navigate the options. Everyone was very helpful with all our questions. Love the TV.

I bought this 86 inch TV to replace the 55inch TVs I had in my living room. The TV worked one day has been broke ever since then I’ve had the TV for 36 days. I’ve called LG five times and trying to feed resolution for this TV, I would not buy an LG TV again.

Previous TV was a 70", 2001 vintage. Was still a good TV, but didn't have the best quality picture compared to the models of today.

Love It
Hubby and I are seniors and lately having difficulty seeing TV clearly. This TV has solved the problem beautifully. The images are crisp and any subtitles or banners are much easier to read. Overall is easy to operate including switching between recordings, apps and live broadcasts. The remote is a bit crowded but we’ll get used to it. Very pleased with the quality of sound and pictures and ease of operation.

Horrible experience. TV damaged during shipping, took 1.5 weeks for a replacement to deliver, the replacement was even more damaged than the first. LG has no idea how to deliver TVs. Still no sight of a refund. Buyer beware.

Set up is not easy.
A week into the set up and still unable to get it to download apps. Have reset to factory settings, watched YouTube videos about the issue, read online forums including those on the LG website and still having issues. Will need to call the Help line.

Sound not working consistently
The sound is very erratic. and I am waiting for a repair person to come this week.
My daughter spoke to one of your technicians on 5/18. He tried very hard to
trouble shoot it but could not get any sound.
It is now 5/22. I have not heard from. repair person in Boulder yet.
I am very UPSET and should have returned the TV to Best Buy when the
problem started when we set it up on 4/29 but I kept hoping that one
of my techie grandchildren could figure it out!
Picture is beautiful but no fun watching with captions turned on.
Please forward this message to someone who can expedite sending a technician. Joan Graff

Remote Control has too many buttons
Overall, I am pleased with this LG TV. My only complaint is the remote control has far too many buttons on it. It is very easy to press the wrong button and loose the program you are watching. The remote control needs to be simplified.
Othwe wise it is a fairly decent for the price.

This TV is a very good buy. It had the best cost in its category and the best quality when compared with others with similar specificstions.. The remote could be more modern considering that you use the arrow and enter keys to browse in the dark. I also had an issue with my remote that was addressed. I still highly recommend this TV and it remains a 5 star buy.

DEFECTIVE SCREEN MANUFACTURING PROCESS….DO NOT BUY
Annoying, dark vertical bands that span the entire width of the tv are easily seen OFTEN when viewing. Extremely annoying. Called customer support and they stated that this was “normal due to dust and other foreign particles that sometime get into the screen during its production”!!!!! They stated that the dark banding was not an issue that warrants repair or replacement. I will NEVER purchase another LG TV, ever. Just wasted $1000 on something that I am going to replace.
