Great monitor!
I bought this monitor for use with my MacBook Pro to edit photos & videos. After researching a number of monitors, I landed on this one and am very pleased. The overall build quality, color performance, size and connectivity have made this an awesome purchase at a great value. If you do photo editing via Lightroom or Photoshop, I would recommend this monitor.

Will Never Buy LG Again!
Almost a year after I purchased my monitor, the screen had burnt out and LG decided to grant me an extended warranty. However, after several weeks of waiting for my monitor to get fixed, LG promised me that I would receive a refund after calling customer service serval times to express how displeased I was with LG's lack of updates. After being told I was going to receive a refund, I purchased a new monitor, however, LG still ended up shipping my old monitor out to me and told me that I will not be receiving a refund because it was already shipped out. I can't believe LG went back on their word. I will never be purchasing another product from them again and you shouldn't either.

Ugly dimmed colors during summer
Bought this monitor in winter, but as soon as the ambiant temperatures went up to 30°C, the screen started to randomly display dimmed colors, and no setting could correct this. Now, in October, it's back to normal. The customer service suggested to return it (at my own cost) leaving me without screen for an undetermined period. I regret this purchase.

I love this display!!
I've been using this display for a couple of years now and I'm still very happy with it. I use it for CAD and Interior Design as well as Logic Pro. It's very bright and very clear. I purchased and returned 2 other displays before deciding on this one. It's the most similar to the display on my Macbook Pro 16". Highly recommended!

Worked great for 6 months
I bought this monitor to use with both my MacBook Air via thunderbolt and Dell PC laptop via HDMI. Worked great for 6 months then bottom half of screen was blurred out. After a few more days complete screen blurred out. Stuck now with a worthless monitor.

Beautiful monitor, but
The picture is excellent, but the monitor does not play nice with my M! MacBook Pro running Big Sur. I wish the energy saving feature or whatever firmware could be refined so that the USB hard drives would not disconnect improperly.

Great monitor but connectivity issues
Great picture and display bu will not let me display in either RGB of DCI-P3 mode as advertised with a Mac Mini M1 using a Thunderbolt connection. It also has the well known issue of not waking up when the Mini goes to sleep. Lg tech rep could not offer any suggestion to correct problems, Returning for another brand monitor.

Annoying pop up screen
When it first powers up there is a pop up screen that says to use the supplied cables. It goes away after a few seconds but I can never click on the message itself to tell it to go away. A second issue is I cannot adjust the brightness, either from the system preferences or the key board. I am running Mac OS Big Sur. Other than that it is a very nice display. Very clear and very sharp.

Best 32" 4K IPS 16:9 Monitor
I was skeptical to buy this monitor since there are some negative reviews about Thunderbolt compatibility with MacBook. However, I received this unit in perfect condition and I have not encountered any error so far.
The monitor has a very good color gamut, and I really like it. I use it everyday and my eyes are very comfortable.
One down side is that the monitor still has some white light bleeding but not really bother me since I don't do much stuff with black background.
Other than that, I really love this monitor and hope to buy the 2nd one next year.

Important drawbacks
I bought a pair of these for use with my Mac Pro 7,1 because they had Thunderbolt3 connectivity.
Both units have severe image retention problems. If you leave a bright window open for more than a minute or so, an afterimage remains which takes several minutes to disappear. Additionally, there are several functions which do not work when connected by Thunderbolt such as disabling or changing the Automatic Standby setting. I do NOT recommend purchasing this device.

Performs Double Duty: WFH + Hobbies
Purchased the 32UL950-W on Amazon Prime day '20 to make advantage of the slightly discounted price in combination with rewards points I'd accumulated. This brought the cost down from very expensive to merely expensive. Opted for this model for two primary reasons: screen real estate and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. Also influencing my decision: I've a LG OLED 55" TV that I'm very pleased with.
In these times of WFH where home office space is at a premium I use the LG for double duty. The HDMI input is connected directly to my work issued Dell laptop. I work 12-hour shifts on a rotating, two week schedule so having a high quality display makes it easier to stare at for hours on end.
The second connection is via TB3 to a CalDigit TS3Plus also connected by TB3 to a late-2016 MacBook Pro where I predominantly use Audio/MIDI software as an amateur musician. The 2nd USB-C connection on the 32UL950 is used for a Logitech StreamCam as there is no built in Webcam on the LG. This is used for FaceTime and Zoom calls with an eye towards doing some live streaming.
This configuration allows me to easily swap between work and home by merely toggling between input connections on the LG.
The OnScreen Control app is useful, but I'd already been using Mosaic (and previously Magnet to manage window layouts on macOS 10.15. I seem to recall having difficulty running the bundled apps and firmware from the web download URLs and opted to install those from the bundled CD and allow them to auto-updated individually until I arrived at the current versions when I installed the LG. YMMV.
In combination with the MBP, my 50something year old eyes find the 2560 x 1440 setting the easiest to read, but I typically run at 3008 x 1692 as an acceptable compromise between maximizing the screen real estate and readability. That said, this monitor looks fantastic at 3840 x 2160 which I use on occasion for streaming content. In regards to software the welcome trend of scalable GUI's makes it easier to use this monitor when running at higher resolutions, but not all legacy software will see this type of update hence switching between resolutions is nice.
Prior to opting for this monitor I'd long considered the very capable 27UK850 (now replaced by the 27UN850), but opted for this display as previously stated, due to the larger screen and TB3 connectivity. That being said, I'm fairly confident I could have run a comparable configuration utilizing the DisplayPort option on either of those monitors. The lack of a built in WebCam is a concern and I opted for the StreamCam to make use of 1080p at 60fps which USB 3.0 (on a USB-C connection) accommodates for (at some expense of CPU.) File under 'In for a penny, in for a pound.' I've run various other USB accessories (Flash Drives and and external LG CD-ROM) from the additional ports on the 32UL950 with no issues. I appreciate the inclusion of these ports as they can be useful at times.
The mounting stand is sturdy and easily assembled and obscures the cables from view, but I've a notion my home office desk will be replaced/upgraded at which point I'll acquire a mounting arm to free up even more desktop space.

Great Picture. Some annoying quirks.
I use this monitor with a 2019 Mac Pro. In fact, I bought this monitor because it was rated as Mac compatible. After 4 months of daily use, here are some of my thoughts / observations.
Pros:
1. The picture and presence on the desktop is fantastic.
2. The style matches the Mac Pro very well
3. Not inexpensive, but nowhere near the cost of the Apple branded monitor.
4. There is plenty of desktop space to 'spread out'
5. Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. I did nothing more than plug it into my computer and everything just popped up as it should.
6. Great range of vertical motion (and rotates completely vertical)
7. NO built in camera!
Cons:
1. The built in speakers are more than adequate, but the volume cannot be controlled from the Mac keyboard (you can mute) - instead, it must be controlled from the monitor itself. Work-arounds like Soundflower can help, but are a hassle and can be sporadically unreliable in many situations and just downright fails in others (certain games won't work with SF (Baldur's Gate 3 for example!).
2. The monitor cannot turn left/right, which is unfortunate because...
3. the stand (on mine) is not properly aligned with the monitor (replaced it once, same problem). When my monitor is straight on, the stand is slightly canted to one side.... a VERY annoying visual, and not what I'd expect from a $1200 monitor.

Great colors, high performance
I bought this monitor recently along with another brand for the two computers I use. The colors on this one are much better and brighter than the other one. Works great for spreadsheets, web browsing, and streaming TV or video. I use it for trading options and it works great for me.

Great Option, Wish i hadnt seen the 27" 5k
The display is absolutely beautiful and easy to adjust with the button, however, a few things about it made me keep the 27" 5k.
1) The blacks on the 5k were better (not drastically)
2) The integration with the Mac laptop was much more seamless ( I was able to make normal adjustments from my keyboards for audio and brightness)
It was seriously a hard decision, but would have been happy either way

Cable Issues
I use a 15 inch MacBook Pro. One lightning cable worked sporadically. The cable with the lightning bolt works fine. I will continue to try all ports and cables, but apparently not all cables work the same to send the signal from the laptop to the monitor. When it works, I love the monitor.

Low Quality Stand for a Decent Monitor
I bought this monitor and less than a week of having it set up, I bumped into my desk and it fell face forward, and the screen was scratched, cracked and had some serious damage. It was very disappointing as I had to pay for the repair as this wasn't covered under warranty. My other dell monitors and iMac (on the same desk) were completely unaffected by this low impact. I had read 1-2 reviews prior stating that the stand that comes with this monitor is cheap and a bit wobbly. I sent the monitor in for repair and have since received it. So far it seems to work great and I now have the monitor on a high quality monitor arm that is mounted to my desk. I am pleased with the quality. I have noticed a slight flicker on the screen, which isn't too bothersome yet. My biggest takeaway so far is if you're going to invest in this monitor, buy a good quality monitor arm or stand.

Love this monitor
Bought this back when the shutdown started , since we were all going to be spending more time behind the screens I decided I need an upgrade. I've had it for a little over a year and I've experienced no problems. This monitor delivers! Set up with a macbook pro. Looking into getting another one. If you're looking for a monitor and you can afford it definitely go for this one.

Nice Monitor but DOES NOT RUN G-SYNC WELL.
The monitor is great for work tasks, however, don't be fooled by the "G-Sync" feature. G-Sync only works between 40-60 frames per second and if the frames drop below 30 fps, even for a millisecond, the entire screen will go black for a moment. So most games that aren't optimised extremely well will not be playable in this mode.

Beautiful Monitor That Works Well With My MacBooks
I was in need of a monitor I could mount on my wall because I have a roll top desk. I chose the LG 32UL950-W because of it's special USB-C capability. I have only one cable coming from the monitor that provides the connection to my Mac and also provides power. The wall mount was easier to do than I thought and my set up is now in place.

Washed-out colors and limited Thunderbolt
I bought this monitor 5 months ago and didn't find the right settings for my Mac mini M1 (tried everything): it looks very washed-out, sometimes pinkish, sometimes bluish, sometimes super bright or super dark, with no option to correct it. The grayscale seems inconsistent, with basically nothing between pitch black and medium gray. And it seems to get worse over time. Is my article defective?
For some reasons, the Thunderbolt interface of this screen doesn't manage the 2560x1440 scale on Mac mini M1. So I am restricted to HDMI, which makes the Thunderbolt feature useless in my case, in addition to the HDR feature.

Great longevity, colour, contrast and sharpness
We have used this monitor daily for the last 5 years, and has been reliable and stable with excellent colour gamut and razor sharp resolution. Works well in all forms of light and does not get affected by temperature changes. Only thing would criticize is the controls to quickly switch between Thunderbolt input and HDMI for two different computers Mac (photography) and PC laptop (office work).
