It will only connect to the mouse. The keyboard will either flash 2 green lights, or 2 green 1 orange. I've tried looking all over the Lenovo website for assistance, but Chat is not available for this product, and there is no way to contact customer support.

It does not work as a replacement for your Lenovo wireless keyboard and mouse USB. When I called Customer Service, they said I would have to purchase a whole new keyboard and mouse simply because a tiny piece of the original dongle chipped off. How wasteful!! I would give it 0 reviews if that were possible.

They are model SK-8861s board & mouse. Not only did they not work but I also discovered that I cannot interchange the existing dongles between the two computers.

Lenovo Keyboards do not use a universal standard (like some other companies) The keyboard and USB receiver are matched "at birth" and if you separate or cannot find the USB Receiver, may as well just throw away the keyboard. Avoid the hassle and contact customer service first, they will know if it will work or not. If you want to find a universal system, go with a different product that has been designed to connect multiple devices through a single, and replaceable USB Receiver. Otherwise seems good quality, but cannot be linked to other devices.

It also worked great(i.e. connected seamlessly to my keyboard after following the pairing instructions available on their website). The Lenovo keyboards all around an amazing product, the keys are soft, quiet, easy to press, there is no latency between keypress after long pauses, and the battery's last a very long time.

But it took almost two weeks to ship and directions for re-synching my system are almost unobtainable. My keyboard is an older model and finding the right directions for it was almost more trouble than it was worth. The price is right, though and it came with free shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pairs when device is within 4" of nano receiver I can confirm this product works with the Lenovo Professional Keyboard. That being said, when pairing the existing keyboard with this new receiver, you must press the pairing button on the existing keyboard AND hold the keyboard within 4 INCHES of the USB receiver until pairing is complete. If the keyboard isn't placed within this 4" zone it will not pair. I suspect this is the reason so many people believe it doesn't work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problem solved when pairing on Linux I purchased this receiver to use with Lenovo Professional Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo PN 4X30H56796 instead of a misplaced USB receiver that came with the keyboard. My Thinkstation P620 is running Ubuntu 20.4 now. To my dismay, I discovered that I was unable to pair the keyboard and mouse - it did not pair automatically, and I could find no tool to help with that. Finally, I moved the USB receiver to another Thinkstation running Windows 10, and paired the keyboard and mouse using Lenovo Mouse Suite for Windows. The pairing still worked when I moved the keyboard and mouse with this receiver back to Linux.

I have the KBRF3971 keyboard and it appears there is no way to pair the new receiver to the older keyboard. I tried to get Lenovo support but they won't even let me open a ticket on this brand new receiver since my keyboard is no longer under warranty. It was a complete waste of money and time and Lenovo knows this but said nothing on their website.

Upon a closer reading of the product description there appear to be only a couple specific mice that it's compatible with. My usb receiver has been misplaced and would have been unfortunate to buy a complete new set. With the new replacement, everything is synced up and works perfectly like before. Thanks for offering such a nice replacement and customer service support.

This is like the other said , is completely Waste of time. Called customer service, the staff suggest me to return it and buy a new mouse. Wondering why Lenovo don't do anything, my Thinkpad mouse is new but the dongle is broken (only 1 year old), I just want to get a replacement for the broken dongle and get my mouse works.

I spent over an hour on the phone with Lenovo today because over half the reviews were of disappointed customers who discovered this dongle doesn't work. Lenovo Tech Support confirmed today, IF YOU LOSE YOUR DONGLE FROM YOUR KEYBOARD/MOUSE COMBO YOU NEED TO BUY A NEW KEYBOARD/MOUSE COMBO AS THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT OPTION FOR THE DONGLE. I'LL NEVER BUY LENOVO AGAIN NOW.

They were given to me second hand so I'm not sure if they have an issue or not. I followed the pairing procedure for each device, but so far I haven't had success and I haven't had enough time to investigate further. But the price was right and shipping was so fast.

I followed the instructions and was able to get it to flash orange and then go solid orange but when it was supposed to turn green (successful pairing) it turned red and would not connect.

After many attempts to pair it, and a lot of googling and searching for a solution, it seems this only works for a mouse. Not the combo. If you lose the dongle you have to buy a whole new combo. I’d love for someone to tell me I’m wrong. But for now, this was a big waste of money. And a waste of my time trying to return it.
