Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flickering Monitors Bought this since the cable that came with my Thunderbolt 3 dock was not long enough for my desk setup. This cable "Works" but just. I have noticed by typing and mouse movements are sluggish, the USB ethernet adaptor stops/starts working at random, and monitors flicker. It does charge the laptop though. Would not recommend.

I do plug and unplug my computer regularly, but 9 months is unacceptable. Bought directly from Lenovo website, but Lenovo support was non-existent.

I wanted to use the cable to connect the docking station to my ThinkPad PU17 computer. When connecting with this cable (2 meter) I receive data transmission errors. I have tried a thunderbolt cables but that will not work and cannot be inserted in the output slot on the docking station. At this point I am being forced to use the original (1 meter) cable. In your accessories catalog you do not even list a replacement (1 meter) cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clearly well made and solid I may have unrealistic expectations - this cable is likely to be more than adequate for most people and purposes. I connected a T495 laptop to a USB-C Dock Gen 2 with this cable; the dock has almost all of its ports in use: Ethernet, 3 displays (on the HDMI, one of the DP, and one of the USB ports), keyboard, trackball, external DVD burner, and a utility connection for charging a tablet. This longer cable allows me to position the laptop in the corner where it's out of the way. But ... the Ethernet connection is intermittent - the signal will drop for 10-30 seconds every 5 minutes or so and then come back. I'll try it again after replacing the USB-display connection with another Display Port cable, and maybe routing the Ethernet directly from the cable router to the laptop instead of to the dock. If that works, I'd give this 4 stars...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful, well-built, fast Perfect length for high speed data transfers. I used this cable to transfer 589GB of data from the old PC to the new one I just bought from Lenovo. I came back to check status and it was done. Maybe my expectations were low, but this cable made light work of it. Now I use it to charge my phone on a 30W charger, works like a champ and charges really fast. At first I thought this was a little expensive for a cable, but the quality and speed was certainly worth a little extra. I would order it again for sure.

The cable for my Dell 4K monitor stopped working and, disappointingly, replacement cables were sold out when I called Dell — they recommended others from BestBuy, but these did not work between my MacBook and Dell monitor. When I tried the cable from my Lenovo 4K monitor, it worked fine so I ordered a new one and now I’m blissfully back to my triple-monitor setup.

Purchased a non-Lenovo cable however it would not allow multiple monitors to connect through my docking station. I contacted Lenovo support to ensure the cable would indeed work for my situation. The customer service/support team was very helpful and had told me the cable would work, however if for some reason it did not, they would make it right. I placed the order and the cable was perfect to my needs. Shipping times was reasonable especially in the current state of pandemic shipping from the US to Canada. Thanks Lenovo team for your support.
