Thanks to this adapter, I was able to use the port for my mouse and free the other USB-A port to be used by removable peripherals, such a my printer or an external HD.

I found it less cumbersome than the interface cable I received with my ThinkBook, which had three jacks that also included VGA and HDMI jacks, which I don't need.

I have a number of devices (printers, thumb drives, wireless mouse, etc. that are still very usable but don't plug into a USB-C slot. These adapters did the job for my devices at a very reasonable price.
