Track point cap
It needs to be replaced on an annual basis. The cape wear out and there is no reason not to replace sooner rather than later.

Like new again
My trackpoint started acting flaky. I thought I was going to have to buy a new computer, although mine was only 4 years old. The trackpoint red cap was looking a little worn, so I ordered the new replacement cap. Amazingly, all the flaky issues went away, and my trackpoint works like new again.

Soft and Easy Movement
These TrackPoint Caps works very well for me not like the other I have tried, which make the mouse very hard to move. My fingers are not aching any more due to the soft touch of the TrackPoint Cap.

Pricey but effective
It's a bit annoying to have to buy ten of these at a time, and the shipping took forever, but it fixed my issue of my trackpoint have terrible sensitivity. At least it wasn't a hardware issue requiring the keyboard to be replaced. If your sensitivity seems low despite maxing out the sensitivity in software, it might be time for a new cap!

ONCE STEP LESS With Track point
I don’t know about other users, but I’ve become adaptive to the Navigation track point for a long time. My first IBM was a X570, and I’ve followed through with every laptop from IBM/Lenovo for many years. The navigation track point is so much easier to use, with a mouse you have to maneuver AND then switch over to the keyboard.

Seeking Legit from
So far seems legit…
I haven’t had the occasion to use these yet, but thus far seems consistent with the kind of quality I would expect to see from Lenovo. Giving it 5 stars. Right on track, Lenovo!

Exactly what I needed to revitalize my TrackPoint
Exactly what I needed. I'm amazed at how much better the Trackpoint works with new caps. Should have purchased sooner. Glad I bought from Lenovo because not all caps fit all ThinkPads. Good communication re: shipping, etc.

Trackpoint Caps
Glad I could get the exact cap for my laptop - world of difference from 3rd party. I would have rated 5 stars, but it took 3 months to get them. Assume it was the supply chain problem.

Lenovo OEM 4mm Track Point Cap Advantages vs. 3mm
I purchased some track point caps for my T14 from three aftermarket vendors and was attempting to duplicate the Lenovo parts, initially not realizing that I could purchase them directly from Lenovo. The "bumps" on the tops were of poor quality and almost non-existent. Additionally, the aftermarket parts seemed to be shorter than the Lenovo part I was trying to purchase. It turns out that Lenovo makes two versions of the "short" track point cap with a small square recess---one for my T14 (3mm) and one slightly higher for my wife's E15 (4mm). I had put an E15 cap on my T14, not realizing the difference, and assumed that the aftermarket parts were too short. I then purchased E15 caps for my T14 directly from Lenovo, and all is well. The bumps on the tops on the Lenovo parts are of much better quality than the others and merit purchasing them factory direct from Lenovo.
I write an additional paragraph with my observation about using the 4mm E15 cap on my T14---this change offers the distinct advantage of having my track point finger positioned slightly higher than with the stock T14 3mm cap. This slight increase in height means that (1) my finger is creating less wear on the "G" and "H" keys, and (2) it has better traction than with the slightly lower T14 cap. Additionally, the increase in height does not impact the screen when my T14 is closed because the cap top is still well below the screen surface. IMO this change is quite beneficial and Lenovo should consider it.
