Engineering Laptop
Good rigid laptop to meet my business needs. Quick while multi-tasking thru several CAM/CAD softwares.

Very good workstation, but..
Powerful but portable, this workstation has it all, a good construction. The only drawback I see is the lack of WWAN, and a wasted PCIe slot, that can´t be used for WWAN or SSD.

Good - Could be better.
In terms of functionality this machine is good but not great. I've been finding that it bogs down a bit when multi-tasking (e.g. running Asana, Outlook, Firefox, Slack and Excel at the same time.). I find that a bit surprising considering that's this is a pretty common suite to use in the biz world.
I know this isn't a machine designed for CAD but there is a significant slowdown if I have to run Fusion360 or eDrawings in parallel with other software.
All that said, the biggest weakness for me is the display: It skews green. Significantly. Even when I create a custom monitor profile, the color cannot be brought back to "correct". This isn't an OS issue or a calibration software issue, this is a hardware issue. There is an added frustration with Win11 that I have to re-select the appropriate monitor ICC profile every time I restart the machine (I have yet to find a true solution to this).
I chose Lenovo b/c my previous laptop was amazing (4 years old and still works wonderfully). I wish I had had the time to "test drive" other brands or the budget to buy a better machine.
Finally, speaking of time: Ordering was weird. It took 5 days from order placement to order shipment -- maybe I'm spoiled but that seems ridiculous if the machine is listed as In Stock.
Then I received an email telling me that my laptop would be delivered late.
When I connected with Customer Service they said it'd be delivered on time.

Great!, just a little loud.
The Computer has been great so far! I use it for school and I needed something as I went into work as well. It works great. I only took off 1 star because it's very loud. If you don't mind, then it's a great computer.

Powerful Workstation!
This machine is amazing! We used to purchase several models for our organization based on job title. That gets taxing as end users switch positions, causing us to reimage and transition data. With this machine, we are able to purchase one device to fill all of the needs in our organization. While it comes beefed up with 16 gigs of RAM, you can expand to whatever you may need. Our developers and executive members all love these as they are prefect for our needs.

Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 Review – A Powerful Dev
I recently upgraded to the Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 w/ Intel Ultra 155H, and it has been an outstanding choice for my development workflow. I customized it with 96GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD, ensuring I have more than enough power for everything I throw at it.
I installed Pop!_OS, and it runs flawlessly. From general software development to AI/LLM workloads, the performance has been rock solid. One of the standout features for me is the keyboard—it’s one of the best I’ve used, making long coding sessions much more comfortable.
The 3K display is sharp and vibrant, but in hindsight, I might have opted for a lower resolution since I don’t necessarily need the extra detail as much as I used to.
I made the switch from a MacBook Pro, and I don’t regret it. Investing another $6,000 in an M4 MacBook Pro without NVIDIA GPU support just didn’t make sense for my current work. This ThinkPad P14s gives me the flexibility and power I need while supporting my preferred development stack.
Overall, a fantastic machine for developers and AI workloads—highly recommended if you need power, upgradability, and Linux compatibility. ??
Only suggestion I would make is to get the 165 vpro processor instead, but the 155 has been working great for me so far.
