My 2nd MOST Useful Purchase of '23... Only 1 Flaw.
While my new ThinkPad 15.6" Essential Messenger carrying case has probably been my 2nd most needed & useful purchase of 2023, right behind my new laptop that it's carrying, I have found it to be slightly lacking in the "quality" department. Thankfully, none of the bag's flimsier features have broken yet. In fact, as long as I keep an extra close eye on the parts I think could cause problems somewhere down the line, I should be able to keep the case in near perfect condition for at least the first year. However, due to the seemingly cheap quality of some of the bag's more heavily used parts (IE: the large clasp/clip holding the internal section containing my laptop closed inside of the bag) coming apart within the first 12 to 18 months. That's really the only reason I gave this bag a 4-star rating instead of a perfect score. That being said, I do really like how lightweight the bag is while still having plenty of space to hold my 15.6" Lenovo laptop as well as my wide assortment of various computer chargers, mouses, USB adapters and other various accessories.
Again, it's hard for me to hold this against the bag manufacturer since the bag in it's entirety cost under $27 before using my Lenovo Points and only $1.88 after using a large chunk of my customer reward points. It's definitely a very comfortable bag that almost makes up for a potentially short life.

Quality and style meets price!
I wanted a stylish messenger bag to carry my laptop for business meetings. I tried other expensive options in the market but was not satisfied with them, eventually returned all of that and decided to keep the Lenovo bag. It is stylish, it is well built, and it is value for money.

For a basic laptop bag this one gets top marks. The strap is comfortable and the inside compartments sufficiently protect the laptop. There is also sufficient space for paperwork in a separate compartment.

Nothing but praise for this laptop bag
This quality laptop bag is very well designed with lots of pockets and zippers for storage. The bag has a divider with a special pocket with a velcro closure to keep my new Lenovo 15.6" laptop safe and secure. I keep a plastic base on the other side of the divider that has a pull-out pad for my mouse. The flap has a zip pocket. Inside there are smaller pockets for a mouse, thumb drives, cords, pens and pencils, etcs. The handles are substantial for carrying with your hand or on your shoulder. I have nothing but praise for this laptop bag.

Amazing value for the small price it has. It has so many pockets and space. It also looks pretty nice. The carry handle is convenient and the strap is comfortable. The first one I got, the Velcro was not sown fully, so I contacted support and got a replacement pretty fast.

Sizeable but the flap is not cloth covered, as it looked like it was in the pictures. Instead it's cheap embossed plastic. The rest of the bag is covered in woven fabric so I don't know why they cheaped out there. Still, it does the job.

A sturdy bag
The shoulder strap was really set in the bottom of the bag. for a few days i thought there wasn't a shoulder strap, but it's in there.
Fit's my needs. I just wanted something to hold my thinkpad if I travel with it. Has more storage space than i plan to use. Build and materials seem sturdy. If I were using this for work I may have gone with a bag with more pockets or a backpack.

It's a bag. A good one.
It's sturdy, light, affordable enough to get entirely or mostly with Lenovo Rewards points if you buy a laptop, and I like how it doesn't stand out at all. Just another black messenger bag. Its quality and lack of remark-ability is actually its strength, and I really can't say it has any obvious weaknesses/issues.

exactly what I wanted
I just received my bag today and I don't know what the previous review is referring to regarding a cheap embossed plastic flap. It's clearly still some type of polyester cloth and if anything it seems higher quality than the cloth on the rest of the bag. Lenovo's official eBay listing provides higher resolution pictures and it's exactly the bag I received.
Anyway I was just looking for a thin messenger bag with a decently padded laptop sleeve, some pen holders, and a well-secured flap. This delivers while looking pretty good to boot. The adjustable shoulder strap is also comfortable and a good length at its maximum adjusted size.
