And despite the bag being advertised as 14", a 14 inch laptop like the X1 carbon will be too small for this bag. The bag is about 1-2 inches larger than the laptop in both length and width. So when carrying the laptop around, it will shift around in the bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits MacBook Air 15 inch Perfectly I love ThinkPad sleeves for carrying my ThinkPad as well as other laptops. They're well-built, not flimsy (unlike the Lenovo basic sleeves), have a handle and zippers, and I'm able to wash them occasionally in my washing machine. They do seem to be designed with the more traditional, bigger-bezel screens in mind, so with most thin bezel screens like my X1 Carbon or MacBook, one size smaller works well (13 inch for my 14 inch X1, 14 inch for my MacBook Air 15, 12 inch for my MacBook Air 13). I hope Lenovo keeps these around for years as I might need to buy more in future.

The handle is still secure but it looks terrible. What is really disappointing is no warranty nor return for a replacement from Lenovo.

The inside is very soft, so your laptop won't get scratches. Also the pocket on the outside is very useful to carry extra things like notebooks or your charger.

The case seems great quality, but maybe a bit big for the laptop. It's perfect for his use since he puts his laptop vertically into his backpack and needs the top zip access. Will update if it is too big-- but it will definitely fit that's for sure!

It has a front pocket that's good for flat items, but not big enough for papers/folders. The zippers are smooth and secure. I love the handle. It makes this easily portable. My only complaint/critique is that it is larger than my 14" Thinkpad. I had hoped for a snugger fit. As is, my device can slide around.

But like others have noted, it's way too big for a 14" ThinkPad. My laptop swims around inside the sleeve. That's OK because it zips up, but it's certainly not snug.I also like the exterior zipper pouch that lets me store a charger and a few other cables on the go.

Please bear in mind your damaged sleeve and picture or, as circumstances allow, look at your full-fledged notebook bag (i.e. Targus etc.). You do have one, do you not? Look at that handle. Likely big, both sewn and riveted to the bag/case , with reinforcement patches also present. You may agree, after comparing the sleeve and bag handles with each other that the sleeve handle is way light for actually carrying and esp. for picking up the sleeve with your TP inside - think of the G force on the handle here. Yes one could fault Lenovo for providing a lightweight sleeve with a handle that certainly is going to fail sooner than a beefed-up handle on a full-fledged bag. But we Owners also should buy TP accessories judiciously, esp. because Lenovo is a big company with lots of decision streams, and they no doubt concentrate most on deciding right about the core products i.e. ThinkPads etc. and maybe concentrate less, sometimes, on the accessories. As is likely the case here. Maybe if you are kind to them when you complain about the badly torn handle on your sleeve they will send you a replacement sleeve for your trouble. Regards.

As here: put TP into sleeve - note how this pads the TP without adding much bulk -, then put sleeve containing TP into a receptacle of stiffness according to your judgement i.e. receptacle can be a close-fitting cardboard box, can also be a stiffer receptacle, and then transport your TP without flashing it too much. Comforting and Handy if you are using your TP weightily to straighten things out somewhere. You can do that with a ThinkPad. Genuine retail customer here. Not kidding about that, either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice while it lasted. You get what you pay for I guess. The case is attractive and nicely fits my 14" ThinkPad along with my power block and cable. If you carry a mouse things start to get tight, but still manageable. I do not believe the case would provide any drop protection at all. The main problem is the handle - after 8 months it is detaching from the case. I did not really expect Lenovo to replace the case and they met my expectations. Bottom Line - find a better case than this.

I use it in my computer bag to add extra protection. I use it at home so that it's not sitting out unprotected. the side pocket seems useful for tablets, or papers.

It is looser than I expected and is about 2 inches larger width and length wise than the laptop so it doesn't fit like a glove.

Only problem, I received 10 sleeves in one large box, and only ordered and paid for one. I called and talked to someone in customer service, and she said someone would send me a label to send the extra ones back, but it's been a couple of weeks, and I haven't received the label yet.

Please bear in mind your damaged sleeve and picture or, as circumstances allow, look at your full-fledged notebook bag (i.e. Targus etc.). You do have one, do you not? Look at that handle. Likely big, both sewn and riveted to the bag/case , with reinforcement patches also present. You may agree, after comparing the sleeve and bag handles with each other that the sleeve handle is way light for actually carrying and esp. for picking up the sleeve with your TP inside - think of the G force on the handle here. Yes one could fault Lenovo for providing a lightweight sleeve with a handle that certainly is going to fail sooner than a beefed-up handle on a full-fledged bag. But we Owners also should buy TP accessories judiciously, esp. because Lenovo is a big company with lots of decision streams, and they no doubt concentrate most on deciding right about the core products i.e. ThinkPads etc. and maybe concentrate less, sometimes, on the accessories. As is likely the case here. Maybe if you are kind to them when you complain about the badly torn handle on your sleeve they will send you a replacement sleeve for your trouble. Regards.

It is at least 1.5 inches too long to be considered fitted. I read other reviews saying the same thing, and I thought, “it can’t be that bad.” It is. Lenovo do better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The users love this sleeve If you spend a lot of time customizing the perfect laptop configuration for your company and at the end the users complaint for the bulky laptop bag, this sleeve provide a perfect companion with an executive look and enough protection. The quality and design of the sleeve is good the only concern is the power adapter, that could press the screen, Lenovo needs to learn from other Laptop manufacturers how to make flat power adapters.
