As such it's not the most abuse-resistant drive, but it's simple, effective, convenient and lightweight.Similar drive over the counter at Staples was $65 last time I looked, so the current discount price of $32ish is a bargain.I wanted a drive on my desk when my PC is out of reach; this will do the job nicely.One cute feature that I wasn't aware of: The drive can be started in a mode that translates the DVD filesystem into a FAT32 filesystem, making it usable with devices that were designed only for flash drives. I don't expect to need that, but it's a nice idea

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointed!!I purchased this product for my son to use on his Yoga 910 that he purchased for college. It will not play DVD's. The software only allows for burning disks even though this was the recommended item for burning AND playing DVDs.
