I chose to get a back-up charger for my laptop to make it easier to work from different locations as a remote worker. (I have my main charger zip tied to my dining-table-turned-desk to keep the cord out of the way and it was a PAIN to take it with me to go work from another location or travel to the office.) I didn't want to take my chances with an off-brand charger, so to me, the convenience and reliability of a second Lenovo charger was worth the cost. The shipping was quick. There was a *lot* of packaging for a simple charger, but other than that, everything is aces.

I think it's important to have a spare since most laptops can't work at fun power without one. This way I can leave one at home and take over with me. I tried using a off brand that looked just like this one and it did work for a few months, but then it nearly caught fire. I only bought a aftermarket one because the official ones were not available for sale. Glad to be able to trust this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from brand new laptop over heats with 15 min usage This my first time switching from Dell to Lenovo, and I feel like this is the worst laptop I have ever purchased. Major problem is it overheats within 15 min you started using it. And the heat stays on and the temperature is so high that I can't keep it on my lap if I do it burns, also if I try to scan fingerprint on scanner, finger burns as well. Additionally, the battery life, even if it is on balanced mode, it wouldn't last more than couple of hours. This problem started within a week since I purchased it. I am very unsatisfied with its performance which I haven't expected from Lenovo and is quite disappointing. I am going to return it and go back to Dell XPS which I have been using from past 10 years without any issues.

Would be nice if the outlet cable was a mickey-style cable instead of a desktop-pc style connector at the power brick, but not a deal breaker. Just helps with commonality between laptop chargers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 300W is some how lower then 170W? So says Laptop The website said it was compatible with the Lenovo Legion 5 15". However I got an Error saying to use a charger from my laptop upon purchase (No longer stocked and mine was broken) and that the wattage was lower then the original charger (which was 170w) Updated my BIOS, cleaned out the port, looked to see if the port was damaged (it was not), tried several outlets, laptops worked with other 170w chargers. I even played around with various power saving settings and power settings in general. It worked for like a split second when I blew compressed air into the port but stopped working immediately. Did not even charge while the laptop was off. I have no idea what was going on or why it thought it was less watts then 170w. Every other number was the same as my original charger besides the Output Amps, so it should have been perfectly fine in that regard too. My laptop is also pretty well cared for and my battery is still in pretty good condition. I sent it back to get a refund and that went nice and well. My issue might be some strange fluke.
