Rated 5 out of 5 by from Salesperson sold me the wrong adapter While I'm sure the 170W adapter works well if it is plugged into the correct laptop, my Legion required a 230W adapter. I asked the salesperson about getting a 230W adapter and was told that the 170W adapter would work just fine for my laptop...plus he gave me a great deal on it. While the 170W maintained the power on my laptop, it did not charge my laptop and I watched the power decrease while it was plugged in until there was only a small percentage left and then the power was just maintained. However, after notifying Lenovo about this adapter, the correct one was sent and the original issue of not being able to charge my laptop has been resolved with the 230W adapter.

Lenovo lists different part numbers (and prices!) for Legion and P1 power supplies, but they are the same thing with a different sticker. Any laptop using a "slim tip" and requiring <=170W can use this power supply. Save $34, buy this one, not P1 version. (I took the chance because the P1 part was out of stock)

Would have been helpful if Lenovo had mentioned item is not in stock before ordering. Meanwhile Lenovo DID charge the credit card. Lenovo (on 11/30): Your order has shipped! Shipper (UPS on 12/21): UPS doesn’t have possession of the package yet. Estimated delivery date will be available as soon as we get the package.

Doesn't work with the Lenovo Legion 7i by default (230W is the minimum default charger it will accept), but that is easily enough addressed with a new 4.6kOhm resister on the signal pin. I now have a super portable charger for work, and leave my monster ones at home.

This is the one they should have included with purchase of that laptop. The other one is so big and heavy it is a good workout to deal with it. LOL!!! Anyway, this has been really good so far and I have checked the watts used and sit around 130 and not much more, so it has plenty of power for me. I guess if you are a hardcore shooter gamer, then you'd need the higher watt adapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality, design, performance I travel and do not like unnecessary bulk. This is the slimmest unit for the wattage. Glad it was available. I recommend not buying elsewhere as I do for many things, as this is a critical component to an expensive, quality LENOVO laptop.

I think the 170W adapters are seriously overpriced, but the pricing on this one was better than usual, which is one of the reasons I went ahead and bought this as a spare adapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great slim charger Great quality. Cord is abit shorter than the 300w, but the box is much smaller and slimmer. Surprisingly doesn't get very hot. Charges even when gaming or during heavy use. I havn't noticed any difference in charging time though there likely is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Capable enough for travel use while 300W sold out Capable of running high-end Legion 5 Pro for moderate use, which is nice because it's much more portable than the factory 300W that came with my laptop. And since that power supply and several higher-wattage ones were sold out, this was a good option. I can run several dozen tabs across a few Chrome user profiles while also running several other apps like VS Code and Teams, Slack, and Discord. I wouldn't recommend trying to play significantly demanding games without more available power, though.

I use this one at the university so that I can use some heavier use and still have it charging rather than the 130w Gan charger that fails to keep up because the USB charging port only supports upto 100w. I still use the 130w Gan charger around for daily use and keep this one at the office. But I can take this one along on long trips instead of carrying the beefy 300w charging block. One thing to notice is that on legion 7 laptop at least, the battery indicator does show that its charging. But it does charge the laptop without any issues. So, if you buy this for the power-hungry legion laptops, plug it in and check for a bit to see if its charging before deciding to return the product. This charging block is exactly what I was looking for and I am very satisfied with it.

Furthermore, the two-prong to three-prong cable on this slim version no longer tears apart with use (compared to the bulky original adapter which was 3-prong to 3-prong). It also gets less hot and has a significantly smaller footprint.

Also the can't tell me if any charger will work with my PC and i was unable to talk to anyone who knew anything.

Imagine my excitement at the opportunity to acquire a luxury $100 charger, it was a joy to open the box the luxury packaging. Since arriving, the charger has worked well! Recently I notice the cable is starting to fray similarly to my last one, I felt this was very kind of the charger to want to remind me of my previous charger so soon. Wonderful of Lenovo to make the charger with a replicable cable to the outlet, but keeping the side that regularly frays which is connected to the computer hardwired into the power supply. This fantastic decision is clearly for my benefit, as soon I'll get to have that wonderful purchase experience again!

Out of the box power settings will refuse to charge using this power source. However this is a rather light power source and the usual expected quality from Lenovo was present for this product too. I would recommend it, provided your device power requirements are matching.

It a well made product. wasn’t sure at first which was the proper one to get so I just chatted with the Lenovo team online, let them know what I needed and they identified it and added it directly to my cart for me. So convenient! I love Lenovo products and their support team.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a power cable, does what it's supposed to. Great spare power supply to keep in my laptop bag. I tried an off-brand universal version and it just didn't cut the muster. It could not keep up with the power requirements of my laptop, even though the specs were the same.
