It's a great camera with a very nice picture. The settings allow the user to modify and enhance the different modes they might need to work with. The price reflects the value of the camera.

It's a wide angle lens, and there's no way to control the edge areas of the active area of the camera. This was a bit disappointing, as we were trying to set it up for use in a particular room, and it was too much shown for doing conference calls that it was meant for. If you need a wide angle camera, then this could be correct for that type of camera for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trusted lasted laptop with military grade material After I lost my hardrive data when my laptop (of a different brand) was accidentally dropped, I chose Lenovo X1 Carbon because of its military grade materials. And have never used any other brand since. The computer system is extremely well built and ready for use in the first minute you receive the product. I purchased the window’s office student/home version so I immediately was able to use the entire computer smoothly. It is lightweight and portable. The only difference is I wish the keyboard has more weight to the touch. I used my last Lenovo for eight years and counting with no problem. I believe this Lenovo will also last me for a long time.

I bought this product specifically because it advertises in the tech specs USB-C connectivity and I had a specific need for a device that would use a USB-C port and not USB-A. When shipped the camera is only USB-C on the camera end and was shipped with a C to A cable - exactly what I did not need. I had to go spend more money to buy A to C adapters. Lenovo should properly explain the connectivity situation for this device in the tech specs.

I used to to make a video call and the quality was great. Audio quality was good as well, sounded good on the other end. Video picture quality was as good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hinge snapped on webcam after minimal use I bought this webcam last February and the hinge snapped after a few months of use while it was sitting on top of my monitor. Trying to contact Lenovo for warranty options has been an exercise in frustration as their support reps cannot find information for this product since it is considered an accessory. I also contacted Lenovo support on Twitter and was also given the runaround. Someone said they would refer me to the right department and no one has ever contacted me back. The camera worked great until the stand broke rendering it useless.

The picture is clear and bright at least on my 4K screen and my favorite part is that Windows Hello works! it recognizes me most of time and saves me from having click through options to use my PIN or open my laptop to use the fingerprint reader or its camera for windows hello. I usually have my laptop closed when it's docked to my 2 28" Lenovo 4K screens. It's also better for zoom than having to open the laptop. I'm very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works, but there are downsides I purchased this camera for its facial recognition capability with Windows Hello. The cam works very well with this task. But there are downsides that were immediately apparent. The camera is somewhat pricey and bulkier than the inexpensive HD camera it replaced. The USB cable goes straight out the back of the unit rather than down. There is a manual lens shutter that can be closed by sliding a tab across the top of the unit, but unfortunately this throws off the camera angle and tilt since the swivel stand on the unit is so loose. The camera must be reset level every time. The unit works well enough but is bulky, unsteady, and vulnerable. I would probably not buy this camera again unless there are no better options available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice webcam minus one thing This is a nice webcam, works with Windows Hello unlocking. Has the physical privacy slider which is nice. It also has a stereo mic for video calls. My only issue with it and some might not have an issue with it, but when I am playing a game where the microphone is always active, this webcam has the bright white light shining in my face even though the camera isn't in use. Logitech webcams I've had, the activity light only goes on when the camera is in use, not the microphone. Webcam uses USB-C cable and is a decent length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little TOO Late I am a graduate student at the University of Calgary, I have an aging Acer laptop that overheats, has a microphone problem and has network connectivity issues that had given me difficulties when attending online meetings and presentations. I opted to get this webcam to use at the end of the term with my desktop, so I can "peacefully" conduct my term's final presentations. The issue is it did not arrive on time; I ordered this on March 16, 2021, the webcam was supposed to ship within a week "max", of course, it didn't and I had to follow up with customer service that didn't recognize the delay at first, eventually, they shipped it on April 08, I finally received the webcam on April 19 unfortunately due to the delays in shipping my term presentations and meetings were over too. The manual that comes with this webcam is for the 510 FHD webcam, and the OS also recognizes the webcam as the 510. I cannot vouch for the product's reliability yet, though Lenovo normally has had good build quality in the past. the video feed is clear and windows hello is functional. A disappointing first experience purchasing from Lenovo timeliness is not an area of strength in my experience.

I think it is clearer than the front lens of a normal phone, while the view angle is very wide. And surprisingly at this price point, it offers Windows hello functionality. When using a Windows computer, you do not need to enter a password to log in.

The video quality is perfect for showing just enough details and physical shutter is just what I wanted, similar to that of my Lenovo X13 laptop. Driver wasn't needed, a true plug-n-play with my laptop. I wish it was a bit smalller, but I would recommend this to my family and friends.

It doesnt take much to change the angle of the camera in the ball joint that attaches it to its stand (another reviewer mentioned the same), but I havent been too bothered by that (if you have a stable desk, should be fine).

Perfect I bought this cam because it listed support for chrome os, so I knew it was a generic usb video class device that wouldn't need a driver and work plug-and-play on my Linux desktop. Plugged it in, started zoom and everything worked as expected. Image looks good and a sample recording showed the audio was acceptable for video conferencing. I can't really ask for more out of a webcam, the only selfish request I could have is I would have liked a cool tally light on top like some other models have, not for any real reason other than because it looks cool.

The mount is OK, but the ball is a little loose for my liking. Normal vibration (in my case from the touchscreen/stand) and the torque from the cable causes a bit of tilt. A tighter ball could alleviate this, however a VERY minor annoyance

I love the reliability of Lenovo products so I searched their site for a camera that had both HD and the Windows Hello Secure Sign In capability WHILE being within my price range. I found this camera and started looking up reviews on youtube. When I was confident it was the one for me, I placed my order. I've been really happy with this camera every since. I log into my PC just by sitting in front of it and the image quality when video conferencing is superb. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Windows hello webcam and also works on a mac Bought this camera for zoom/team calls . A few things to note: 1. This webcam works on a mac. I've been looking for a webcam for a wfh setup and saw issues with Logitech products where they have compatibility issues with monterey. I tested my luck with this one and it worked (at least on zoom and teams). However, If you try to use the camera on Facetime then it won't work as it'll just show up in black and white with very blurry images. There is also a free app (CameraController) on github that you can download to adjust your camera settings, again the image will show black and white like on Facetime but the setting adjustments still work, you can just turn on zoom and see the changes there. 2. This webcam is 720p at 30fps, at least that's how it's performing on zoom. I was able to get 1080p using my cellphone as a camera on the same zoom call so it's not a zoom limitation. 3. Windows hello works! Which is really neat given the price point. Closest equivalent for windows hello would be the Brio which is over $200. 4. The privacy shutter is awesome, which is built in and you can control with a simple slider on the top of the webcam, one key reason for purchasing this webcam, other products on the market with clip on privacy shutters just look awful. Overall, 3 for performance given it's only 720p instead of 1080p despite the name claiming to be FHD. If it's the hardware is capable but lacking software then Lenovo needs to fix that. I tried this on windows as well and only getting 720p, so it's not a OS issue. 4 for features given the windows hello capability, built-in privacy shutter, but really lack software to support this product comparing to other vendors like Logitech. 4 for value if you can get this on sale, would not rate 4 if this is at original listing price until they make it 1080p. 5 for reliability for now as I did not run into any issues with it so far, very easy plug and play webcam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'd choose this over a lumina Excellent webcam - works with windows hello and is very good definition. Highly recommend for the price. I have a Lumina 4k and this, and I actually prefer this one.
