Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture is horrible just received in the mail and looks worse than my microsoft lifecam hd 5000 from like 10 years ago(comparing both side by side now) Set FOV is super wide, and the colours and image look like they were filmed for a 90's skate vid. If you're into that kinda stuff, maybe this is the cam for you. Construction is pretty good, feels sturdy, and is priced ludicrously low if on sale (40$) I honestly wouldnt spend more than 30$ for it. They're shipping e-waste tbh

After speaking with technical support, there's no actual digital zoom controls so you can't zoom in/out your video. It's a very wide angle and the video quality has an orange hue with lots of grainy images.

I wish there was a zoom option though, the field of view is pretty wide and it shows a large part of my room and background while my Logitech would only show half of me and some background.

The delivery of the webcam was delayed (understandable given the demand for cameras in our time of COVID). To solve my problem I bought a different camera from another on-line retailer to get me through until this camera arrived (I had to have a camera for my work). When this camera arrived I was saddened to find the image quality to be poorer than the alternative. To be clear, both cameras had the same specification in resolution and were, as far as I could find out (from manufacturer's websites), the same or similar in other features (e.g. autofocus, field of view, etc). I do confess that it's a tough task to compare webcams and my comparison may, in fact, be unfair. I do think this camera is great for the price. I do think Lenovo products are excellent. I am a loyal Lenovo supporter (and have recommended the brand to many colleagues, friends and family). I'll continue to be loyal to Lenovo... but, I have to be honest in my review and let you know that this camera will be my back-up.

The best thing about this is that it even works with my chromebox (Chrome OS) which is a great surprise for us now that I can use it for my kid's online learning. Simply awesome

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for. I've found this camera a little grainy (trouble collecting light) even for a FHD camera. None of my attempts to better light myself have solved it. I guess that's what you get for such an inexpensive camera. My bigger issue was with the shipping from Lenovo. On the website it said 3-5 days. In fact it took a month to ship, and even then the ship date changed regularly.

I have been using a third party utility called “webcam settings” to try and adjust the green hue on my MacBook Pro (which has an older built-in) cam. I wouldn’t buy this, if I were you, and if I were reading this well-written review.

Cover is not intuitive and seems like an afterthought. There is a white LED light that is always on... when recording an additional green light turns on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works OK when you control over the lighting This camera requires very good lighting to work well otherwise the colours are off and the image is very grainy. No drivers and no real control over the camera other than what is provided in the app you're using. The viewing angle is a bit on the wide side for a webcam. Audio quality is good but the mic is maybe a bit too sensitive if you're sharing your office space with others. Not bad if you can pick one up on sale for 50% off but you can do better if faced with full MSRP. I'd rate this as similar to some of the cheap import cams but without the associated risk. Note this review was not provided in exchange for a free cam.

That being said, the sound quality is horrible, tones of noises. I've tried the webcam on my desktop computer and on my thinkpad x390 to see if the noise problem was computer related, but the same identical noises were present on both machine. I've also spent a lot of time tweaking options in windows, and in the various applications I'm using (MS Teams and Skype) to try to improve the sound quality, but no success on that front too. I'm highly disapointed, I'm a thinkpad fan and thought that Lenovo would keep up with the quality of the product, but clearly there is quality issue with this particular webcam.

I just received this and compared it to an AVerMedia camera I purchased from costco, albeit for twice the sale price of this camera. The image from this camera seems grainy and underlit. The built in Windows Hello Facial Recognition works well and the colours are good enough for video calls and even the occasional stream. Do keep in mind that this device does not have any sort of software that will let you tweak the settings.

Having used on Zoom calls a few times, the picture quality is much better than the built-in Macbook Pro camera, however, it still doesn't feel like Full HD which is what I've come to expect of webcams. I have an external microphone so haven't really used the built-in mic of the webcam. Installation is pretty easy and straightforward and there's no need to install any drivers or software. It just works out of the box on MacOS. I'll keep this for now as it's good enough for work. If I were to use it to vlog I would probably upgrade to something better.

The colors are washed out and there is way too much noise on the picture, even with proper lighting in the room. Also, it has a very large viewing angle which makes it weird for video calls. There is a white LED which is always on even when camera if off, which makes it arkward (you feel like someone is watching you...). My 720p Macbook camera is far better than this.

Installation was automatic, no need of particular software, found itself drivers. Easy recognized by the system (Win10Pro64). Useful for group video chat or any product demonstration, charts display, corporate training or conference. Able to include in image a whole family members. Really WIDE ANGLE webcam. Not so suitable for users willing to show only their face... This webcam will capture almost half of your room as background in image, maybe stuff that you don't need/wont to be displayed around you. For my usage is the best in this price range. After 2 months of usage I am very satisfied.

Although the camera is fairly sensitive, you do need a normal decent level of light on your face. Otherwise, picture can get grainy. The mic array works slightly better than the built-in mic array on my laptop but not by much. I use a head phone with a boom mic for meetings anyway, so the audio quality is not really a factor of consideration for me. All and all, I am happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Acceptable Keyword is essential. Lots of noise in the picture causing waves (like when you used to record old monitors or tvs). Other than that picture quality is ok - laptop cameras are better but it’s acceptable for the price. If you do a lot of video calling you might want to step it up to a higher end camera.

One thing I would change is constantly lit light at the bottom. It feels like the webcam is always watching, even though there's a physical shutter to it.

It's also a super wide angle, so it shows the entire room, better hope you have a clean house and aren't sharing it tiny humans. The built in webcam in all Lenovo laptops is lightyears ahead of this piece of garbage

There is an obvious interference of a light bar scrolling from top to bottom like in older televisions. I don't have this annoying distraction in other webcams. The description on the website says there is a zoom function. I expect this is done through driver/software for this camera but I couldn't even find the product on Lenovo website.
