Size in compact and I can move my laptop for mobile use and reconnect at my desk without going through the rigmarole of plugging in monitors, LAN connection, etc. Would highly recommend for those who move from desktop to mobile use frequently.

My only complaint is that the 90 Watt power supply that come with the dock does not keep the battery charged on my Lenovo Legion when plugged in. I am able to use the power supply that came with laptop, but the power supply that came with the dock is essentially useless. I had to buy an additional power supply to avoid the hassle of climbing under my desk and disconnecting the dock power supply so that I can take my laptop with me. A bit frustrating as the description on Lenovo's website indicated it was compatible with my computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy Adaptor to Have This unit is highly convenient as it offers the versatility of a USB hub and also provides the power source while using only one port on the PC. It has a sleek appearance. This is criticism that applies particularly, to me but I do wish it had an SD card slot as I shoot multiple pictures on a digital camera. It has 4 USB A ports which should be enough for most people even though I could use 1 more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Port extender, NOT a docking station I bought this docking station to pair with my new P16 V2 laptop. The docking station is a massive fail. What I expect from a docking station is that it will permit a single connection to the laptop to provide full connectivity. This docking station will not power my laptop, even if I plug it into a full power supply (instead of the 90 watt supplied P/S). The docking station has no ethernet connection, and it fails to provide a connection to an attached HDMI external monitor. It's basically useless.

Wish the power supply was integrated with the docking station rather than separate. If not integrated should be the same exact size as the dock so they could be stackable (any maybe snap together) with a short manageable cord.

However, the technical support of Doug was top notch. Also, the customer service was very helpful. Things happen, this will not deter me from being a repeat customer. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lenovo CSR told me this would work with my Ideapad, sold me. USB-C to USB -A adapter with it. Look solid and,well built, but I get nothing out of it. Subsequent calls to Lenovo and I’m told it won’t work, and my request to swap me for one that does was denied. So- start over with the online support that wasted 6 weeks of my time, won’t take responsibly for THEIR CSR’s mistake, and wants me to spend more on another dock before they refund me for this dock ( (if they refund me, it’s now just over 30 days), or look elsewhere… Hmmmm…

It provides enough power for my Legion laptop to keep it topped up while performing work related tasks. I also have 2 monitors connected to it that work well. No lag with all my devices plugged in like some docks off of Amazon I have used. Would definitely recommend. This doc does not provide enough power while gaming but I knew that already and the power limits were easily findable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn’t do what I want, want I asked for. I called online sales to ask for the best hub. I gave the sales person my Ideapad serial number. He told me to get this one. I told him more than once that this hub didn’t list my machine as compatible. He assured me it was new and the web page wasn’t updated to add my machine.m and it would work for what I wanted which was dual monitor, the only reason for getting this. I was very clear. He clearly wanted to make the sale and didn’t care that he lying to a customer. I spent a long time trying, bought new wires, finally got through to Ideapad support at Lenovo and found out that my machine will never support dual monitors. I sent the hub back and am waiting for a refund. I’m also reconsidering my love for Lenovo. It is only one bad experience but now I have a system that doesn’t do what I need. When I shop for a replacement machine I may break my years of Lenovo use and try someone else who is more supportive.

I was unable to consistently maximize windows on one of my dual monitors and this fixed that problem. My only criticism is that I'd like it to support 2 HDMI or 2 USB-C outputs for dual external monitors, as opposed to needing to use 1 HDMI and 1 USB-C.

It also charges my notebook while I work. It does not have a power button (which was advertised and I was okay with) so i simply use the power button on the laptop to turn it on. I would buy this product again and would recommend it others as a solid, low-cost dock for dual displays.

This product allows me to use my home office set up (dual monitors, wireless keyboard & mouse, speakers, and headset) on two different brands of laptops. One is a Lenovo and the other is a Dell. The only small pain is that when switching between laptops, the laptop must be completely off when connecting to the cable and powered up after connecting.

I have bought other cheaper docks to add 2 monitors before, but there always was an issue, either occasional blinking or not wanting to work without unplugging from time to time. Haven't had either of those issues yet with daily use for over a month. The extra ports are a nice bonus as well

I do graphics work using CT data, and the mouse seems a few inches off from what I'm trying to select within the software I use. When I pull the session back onto my laptop screen, it is no longer an issue. However, this might be something I can fix by adjusting my settings and not related to the docking station itself. It only happens within that particular software.

Since the Carbon X1 it connects to has no ethernet port, it means my entire system has to rely on WiFi only.

I use almost every port and it still stays cool. I only wish it had two HDMI ports but for the price, it's a small inconvenience to use the display port instead. I'm really happy I finally bought an all-in-one docking station rather than trying to make everything work with multiple hubs.

A cost-effective intelligent addition to my ThinkPad affording me the ability to link up two monitors, a mike, as well as a DAC amp, DAC storage and player. Those connections and the extra USB 3.0 and UBS-C ports take the clutter of extra wires to behind your work area. The biggest bonus is that the powered connection charges your laptop. I've never seen this in other small docks and that places this Lenovo dock way ahead of the competition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way better than other USB-C hubs I've had. It just works. Great value (on sale). I bought this after having several of the little amazon specials die on me. Usually the HDMI out would go, but it's now been 3 of 'em in the bin and when I saw this on sale I didn't think much to buy it and wait until I needed it. Upon receiving it, it's so clear that this is a league above what I've been messing about with for years. Dedicated power supply, really well built, it's HEAVY compared to the featherweight ones I've used. I am using it now and have my other one in my laptop bag as it is light, still works (for now) and who knows if I'll need it when out and about. The Lenovo has more ports, too, so I'm back to a single USB-C connection to dock and undock my laptop from my workstation. Good stuff.

The spec states that it can deliver up to 90W but it doesn't - I tried plugging it into 230W Lenovo power supply, 135W Lenovo power supply but still it shows that it just delivers 65W... It sounds like it can only do 90W USB-C power delivery with the specific 135W power supply which costs $120... The rest works perfect. HDMI output driving the 4Kx60Hz monitor.

This little USB C dock charges the laptop and provides almost all the connections I need. I can leave the laptop power adapter in the laptop bag. What it is missing and I didn’t notice when ordering is a speaker/headphone jack.

It would be great to have the option for a longer USBC cable when ordering. The USBC cable connecting to the computer must have a certain pinout configuration as replacing it with any standard USBC cable of longer length doesn't permit the dock to work. Overall, it is plug and play and what you would expect. Cleans up the desk to only 1 cord, no separate power adapter and dock required.

It does work for Legion laptops despite not being officially compatible. The dock does require the (heavy) charging brick to be connected to operate which limits its portability. Provides up to 65W of power which makes it capable of charging devices like the Lenovo Slim 7 or Legion Go. For Legion or other high performance laptops, you'll still need to connect the original power adapter. Port selection is great but would like to see an ethernet port. Priced well when on sale.

We have amazing results with all our lenovo usb-c docks (we have some of all these: usb-c/usb-c gen2/universal usb-c/usb-c universal bus. dock). We have never had any support tickets open for these docks and I could not be more satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way better than other USB-C hubs I've had. It just works. Great value (on sale). I bought this after having several of the little amazon specials die on me. Usually the HDMI out would go, but it's now been 3 of 'em in the bin and when I saw this on sale I didn't think much to buy it and wait until I needed it. Upon receiving it, it's so clear that this is a league above what I've been messing about with for years. Dedicated power supply, really well built, it's HEAVY compared to the featherweight ones I've used. I am using it now and have my other one in my laptop bag as it is light, still works (for now) and who knows if I'll need it when out and about. The Lenovo has more ports, too, so I'm back to a single USB-C connection to dock and undock my laptop from my workstation. Good stuff.

The dock includes a power supply; this is awesome since it means you can leave one power supply at home and the original one that came with your laptop, at work. Just plug it in and it works. HDMI video transmitted through works fine. Great for connecting extra peripherals such as a mouse/keyboard.
