It's a personal choice on the feel of your tools. The build in Garaged Integrated Pen works well, but the extra inch length of the Precision pen 2 feels more.. traditional. The 4000+ sensitivity level does not seem to add any noticeable difference with Affinity Photo. It is rather pricy. Due to difference in screen technology, this pen will not function with my apple or android phone. (really didn't expect it to)

I like the two shortcut buttons although a third button would have made it more convenient. I'm mostly happy with the product but I think for the price it is sold at the pen should address the following problems: There's a clear lag when my hand rests on the screen while writing (in One Note). Also, there seems to be no clear indicator for low battery. I'm also a little disappointed that Lenovo stopped providing the pen case with the pen especially since they only provide one replacement tip. This pen would have benefitted from having some sort of protective case and a magnetic attachment to the laptop/pad. Finally it's lacking a list showing which Lenovo products are compatible with the precision pen 2.

The Precision Pen is definitely better than the Digital Pen in terms of reducing the hand interfering with digital drawing or writing on my Lenovo Yoga 7i. I am happy with it. However, the Precision Pen has another problem. When I use it on the Microsoft Whiteboard or Power Point slide, I noticed that the drawing and hand writing were a few millimeters away from the tip of the pen. Although the problem does not happen daily, it is really annoying when it happens. Windows calibration helps for a while. Then, the problem happens again. Other than this problem, the pen is easy to use.

It replaced my original stylus that came with my Yoga 14, but this one has a rechargeable battery (no AAAA battery required). The photo shows the clip I added from an old mechanical pencil.

Sometimes this pen will kinda stop working for a moment and i put it on a charger and will start working again. I dont lnow why it dies this, but otherwise thats the only flaw i habe about this pen. It writes smooth and i love that it has tilt recognition amd palm rejection! It works great! And the battery life is amazing as well. Went an entire week without charging!

It did take some time to figure out which pen would work with my computer, but after discussing with customer support and confirming, I purchased and am very happy with it. I use it mainly for note taking in my research job and saves time and paper! Very similar to writing with a real pen and paper, but quite possibly better. I use it with a Yoga 7 14IRL8.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid pen but wished there's Bluetooth connection Sometimes on my lenovo laptop, it would not respond to my pen whatsoever for some reason but touch control works perfectly fine. Very annoying during my math lectures because I have to pull out a notebook and a pencil really fast to get the notes I need. I never had that issue with my bluetooth pen from wacom, but i switched when their nib extraction tool broke the nib inside the pen and wacom refused to fix the issue. Also the side buttons are pretty hard to press sometimes so thats annoying. But all in all the pen works pretty good and it feels nice too.

The feature I do not like is that the cursor is hidden by the pen tip. Of course if you view from a severe angle which I show in the video, you can see the cursor underneath the pen tip, but from a normal angle you can't tell where you are drawing. Since my work requires extreme accuracy, I have to zoom in dramatically when I draw to make sure I am precise enough. This is annoying, but I can at least do my work.

The hexagonal shape is great for control of the pen and for the various writing angles. However, a would recommend a textured grip pad around the buttons since the pen is surprisingly slippery when writing. Altogether, a great pen, just that one recommendation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can be cumbersome, but overall decent. I bought the Lenovo Yoga 9i 14" laptop-tablet for medical school, and this pen was included. I've had both for about 3 months now, and the pen will randomly stop working for minutes at a time, and usually requires me to restart the laptop for it to resume normal function. It is incredibly frustrating, especially when I'm using it to take notes during lectures. Additionally, the two buttons toward the tip of the pen should not have been placed there. Most people, including myself, hold writing utensils around the location of these buttons, and so accidental pressing of either button happens way too often. The buttons are pre-programmed with an eraser function and a lasso tool function; I had to disable both because I would frequently but unintentionally press the buttons while taking notes, messing up my work. The next model should have the buttons a bit further down, nearer to the tip of the pen, and be made smaller. The design of the pen is very nice, and the weight and texture feel good in your hand. Writing with it does feel like you are using a pen, but feels smoother. Lastly, the battery life is great. Overall, due to the flaws of the pen (and maybe of the Yoga 9i as well), I'm rating it a 3/5. Definitely needs improvement (along with the Yoga 9i laptop, but that's another review).

Fast and smooth experience with a lovely screen, good and clear sound, light weight, and am also loving the excellent Precision Pen 2 for drawing and doodling (that's the MAIN reason I bought it!) adding in the ridiculous long battery life easily gives me multiple days between charges makes this the best Android tablet I've ever bought and the price was SUPER too!

I bought this pen because the small, thin pen my Lenovo yoga came with was not comfortable. As an artist, it does feel like this was not made in mind for creatives. I hate to compare, but I just transitioned from IPad to the Yoga and I will confidently say the iPad feels like it considers people and their needs who work in creative fields much more than Lenovo. The pen dies pretty quickly and I find myself having to charge it (didn’t come with any wire, either) before Ive hardly delved into a project. I can’t tell when I have to troubleshoot it or charge it either because the app that shows the pen settings always says the battery is full. Don’t really know if I’m doing something wrong or not. TLDR: It works good, but if you work with a pen 90% of the time, get a Wacom tablet.

Super easy to connect to my laptop and feels so life like. I've been using it for drawing a lot and I love the feel of it and the different pressure capabilities it has. I checked out all of the Amazon brands and while the price was a bit less, the reviews were very mixed with many people saying it didn’t work at all. So I checked Lenovo and voila! Their pen works perfectly, paired instantly and charges flawlessly(I love the charge port design). I have a couple of tablets from different manufacturers and this one has the best pen. So if this pen is compatible with your tablet, it is the best option for you.

Better than the original one that came with the tablet and provide pretty much instant response as opposed to the Digital Pen's slight lag. Only issue is that the pen came with no extra nib and replacement nibs are nowhere to be found. I think this is poor support from Lenovo because they sell so many different types of stylus yet no compatibility matrix and replacement nibs are near impossible to find.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent for the price Buttons are not very clicky and they are too flush with the pen so it is hard to click it. Battery life is nice though. The tip is kinda grippy with my screen it doesn’t glide as well as i wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Compatible but Lenovo will tell you it is! Does not work with Tab Extreme, even though I called Lenovo to check compatibility. Tab Extreme only works with precision 3 pen which Lenovo Canada does not sell.

Received one accessory in a week, they cancelled another accessory but never refunded me. Laptop shipped and then returns by custom for no paperwork, been told it’s been shipped again, but it hasn’t.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but has a small bug Works and write great. Feels good in quality and works with Yoga 7i 14 inch. However one fliw that all of these have (i owned 3) they disconnect periodically and will reconnect after you connect them to a charger for few seconds. Its not a battery isdue as its fully charged, it just wakes up after you connect yo power for a second. Otherwise writing experience is great. Probbably worth buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent stylus overall This is an overall decent stylus pen. The design is pretty cool and albeit a bit laggy the pen does work with the P11 Plus. Pros: Nice design Decent grip Works okay Cons: Not the best latency. It lags noticably, there is always a gap between the tip and the lines on the screen when using with most apps. The pen is a bit heavy on the top making it less comfortable to use. But that's manageable. You will have to experiment with different handwriting apps before you find the one that works without too much lag. The best result I got was with Xodo (the one with the least lag) and Squid (bit laggy but second best). It was quite laggy with OneNote and INKredible. And some of the other apps were so laggy that it was impossible to use them. For sketching the lag is not a big issue because people sketch more slowly. But for notetaking, the lag will cause serious issue to the level where it's not usable for professional use/schoolwork.

I have tried multiple troubleshooting tips, and the only way for it to reconnect is to wait about 5 minutes or plug it in for 1 second. This is very inconvenient when writing notes in class. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best To Buy Brand-name.. Im happy I finally bought a Lenovo pen, for my Lenovo tablet! I tried going cheaper twice and bought generic pens for half the price of a Lenovo pen. First pen didn't always react as soon as the pen touched the screen. Lines would start after the pen moved. This pen was battery powered. The second pen was ok, electrostatic powered by body electricity, but it didn't have the full features the Lenovo pen has, such as pressure/line width control, and it seemed to not like the tablet screen to be cold. The Lenovo pen works as expected, every time, and has full features that only the combination of two paired products have. I'm glad I paid a bit more for the correct pen.

Having a proper pressure sensitive pen available for the high end thinkpad workstations is a large benefit, but this implementation leaves a lot to be desired compared to other pen systems. This pen lacks A: Any storage location on the laptop, B: Any lanyard attachment point to keep from losing it, and C: constantly disconnects and needs to be manually reconnected with a USB-C cable to work again (happened 4 times in a one hour session of PDF markups). This subtracts from its conveniences like the simplicity of pairing it to the laptop by just plugging it in once, and USB charging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good build quality, feels very good to draw with. Honestly I'm impressed. I expected something a little cheaply built. It actually feels very solid. The charging port is hidden in such a way that if you don't know the product, you might be completely oblivious as to how to charge it. I see that as a pros: I don't want to see or feel the charging port while I am working. Overall, this low profile approach is very much appreciated. My Lenovo Yoga 6 13ALC7 is compatible with the pen, so don't just rely on the reported compatible devices by Lenovo. If your screen/tablet supports AES 2.0/1.0, you should be good. I've handled much more expensive pens, and in all fairness: On any day I would always recommend this pen for someone that's just starting in drawing with a tablet or who just wants a pen for browsing and taking notes. Each stroke is very precise, the palm detection is on point and pressure detection hasn't failed me yet. At the price, it's very good! My only complaint is the instructions and whatnot. There were none. You get a box, there's a pen inside. How do you turn it on? What do the buttons do? You have to figure this out on your own. I can easily imagine how this can be cause for difficulty and frustration to someone not as used to tech.
