this was a great purchase for me. I recently purchases a Mac mini but needed a webcam and this little camera was a perfect edition. You can sit on your desk or hook it over your monitor (like I have mine) and it works great too. I love the little privacy screen that slides into place too. very cool. nice job Lenovo!

Even if an item is offered as compatible...
This was listed as an option that was to be compatible with my new laptop, but it was not. So, I had to return it. Just because Lenovo offers it in the list of items that will work with your purchase, it may not. Then you get to deal with Customer Service and that could take hours away from your life. I like Lenovo products, but their Customer Service has gone downhhill.

Great video quality, like that there is a cover slip and it is adjustable left to right. Not as easily adjustable from top to bottom because you would have to adjust it from the back.

Great features for a low price such as wide FOV and integrated lens cover. I don't use the microphone so I can't give feedback on that. My biggest complaint is the image seems noisy and is too sensitive to light changes

Says it has pan/tilt and zoom controls but that does not appear to be true. The plastic cover over the lens can also catch the light causing poor picture quality.

picture quality and audio are good - my only "complaint" and it's totally my fault is that i missed the color being listed as gray- the pictures do make the web cam look a little more white - it's fine but would be cool to have some color options for the display - the gray/silver color is ugly on my set up but for $40 no complaints- i also hooked it up to my mac and it worked right away, no drivers or set up required

Functional, but not pretty
While this webcam works, it seems to have some issue with refresh rate. No matter what I do, the video always has a greyish "bar" that scrolls upward through the picture & repeats. I've tried this on 4 different computers - both in Windows 10 and Linux - with the same results. It'll do in a pinch, but I was disappointed that it constantly looked like a bad VCR rather than the supposedly HD image it was billed as having.
On a positive note, it does plug & play easily under both Windows 10 & Linux. The design is nice, and aside from the poor video seems to be well-built?

Great camera! Colors are great, mic is awesome, and the mount clip is very flexible and strong. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to narrow the field of view for using at your desk as opposed to a conference room because it is a pretty wide angle for a desk cam. Still love it ans can’t beat it for the price!

The first one I ordered arrived broken on the bottom attachment. The second one worked fine for about half an hour, then the screen started glitching and sound kept cutting out for recipients on our zoom meeting. This happened several times throughout the meeting. It was the first time using this new webcam. Waste of money.

Terrible - super grainy picture
Pros: easy plug in and play. Worked right out of the box and 15 secs after plugging in, it automatically showed up as the default camera for Teams call.
Con- super grainy picture. Built in web cam on my laptop looks much better. I kept switching back and forth and changed position of camera and lighting in room. No matter what it was grainy and my laptop camera on my surface laptop was way better. I just need a camera that can sit on top of my external monitor so I do not have to look down at my laptop screen.
Gets the job done, but picture quality is very bad.

I selected the Lenovo 300 FHD for several reasons , one this is plug and play in its purest form ( just plug into a usb port and your done ) also I'm running windows 7 pro and many other cameras didn't support windows 7 , also the included microphone was an added bonus and I've had no problem running any program that needs a web cam , toss in the reasonable price of the camera and it was a done deal for me......

This is a barebones FHD webcam. The quality is frankly like the mediocre FHD laptop webcams so don't expect anything on par with higher end products. For the price it is good. If you can find it on sale I'd recommend it.

Great buy, very clear picture.
I had a cam prior that stopped working on a ZOOM class I needed to take. I then went to the Lenovo site, found this cam which is extremely low priced, and installed it. CLEAR, bright picture. The latch that attaches it to the monitor is moveable so you can get different angles as needed. The picture is so clear. I am glad I bought this. I then bought a MIC as well and that uses USB which is GREAT.

I bought this camera as a gift for my wife’s zoom meetings. It has a pretty great quality picture and microphone. Decently priced as well. The only thing I don’t like about the camera is it is not Autofocus but other then that it is a good web cam

The camera was plug and play. Even my most technology-averse employee got this setup without help. The picture quality is grainy. It isn't to the point that it's unusable. In fact, the price point made it a great buy for the person that seldom uses video conferencing software but on occasion does want/need to be seen. If you are on camera every day, I would get something with better picture quality.

Good webcam for the price
I bought this webcam for my online classes and I am very happy with it. The video quality is excellent, the microphone is clear, and the installation was easy. It works well with Zoom, Skype, and other video conferencing apps. The webcam has a privacy shutter that can be slid over the lens when not in use, which is a nice feature. The only things I don't like about it are the color and the cable. The webcam is grey, which doesn't match my black laptop. I wish it came in different colors. The cable is also fixed to the webcam, so I can't detach it or replace it if it gets damaged. Other than that, this is a great webcam for the price and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable device.

Functions as expected, and no complaints when used on a laptop. When placed atop a large monitor, adjusting the viewing angle downwards was awkward and the privacy cover got in the way.

As some other reviewers have said, picture quality is fairly poor- I've got a Lenovo laptop as well (needed multiple cameras angles for a livestream that I'm doing for a school project) and the color/tone is drastically different between the two. Borrowed a third camera Came back here hoping there was documentation in the help section on how I might adjust settings, but that does not appear to be possible since all there is for this product is a guide of specification and a quick set-up guide.
Also was one of the people mislead by the Zoom feature listed, but that's already been addressed in previous reviews. Not a deal breaker, but still disappointing as I'm using this camera for one of the closeup views.
It does work, but would not recommend.

I just bought this and wish I hadn't. Picture is extremely grainy no matter what setting it is on. Plugged it in to different usb ports with no change. It has no driver to update (standard windows driver) and no specific software to tweak. Very disappointed-this is the first Lenovo product I've purchased that didn't live up to the Lenovo name.

The camera picture looks good, although it seems like it handled dark areas well sometimes but not others. The description, however, was incredibly misleading when it originally stated 4X zoom. It looks like this statement has since been removed.

Decent image quality but not amazing. Best part is the plug and play set up, no fussing with custom software or drivers. Love the physical privacy cover but with I could zoom because it has a very wide field of view. The Mount is very flexible and includes a threaded end. Overall solid but not perfect.

The Review for Lenovo 300 FHD WebCam was easy to setup and has a great clear image! I love the built in camera cover, so even if you have "camera off" on apps, having the cover over the lens is peace of mind. I work remotely so having a quality webcam is extremely important.

Great basic webcam at an affordable price
I recently purchased a monitor and needed to also purchase a webcam to go with it. I did some basic research and my conclusion was to go for Lenovo 300 FHD based on the price, resolution, design and online reviews. I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the quality of images and sensitivity of the microphone. Okay, it’s not something you would use to make a ultra high resolution marketing video, but for everyday conference calls and catching up with family, it’s highly effective and much better than the Macbook Air (2019)’s built in camera. I would highly recommend! Can’t go wrong at this price.

I got this camera a few weeks ago and I like the way it looks, grips the screen and the really long cord. My only concern is that you can't change any settings on it. (unless I am missing something) I have this fuzzy line that goes on my screen, tried to lower my display settings.. Nothing had helped...

Decent quality camera at least as good as ones I have bought from Amazon in the past. At least with this one I don't have to worry about it completely failing a few days after the warranty expired. I'm not going to say that its low light performance is amazing, but I'm able to clearly see my face by only the light of my monitors. The privacy shutter is nice too.

I have been using one of the old Logitech Webcam, 1080p vs 720p makes a huge difference. I have been using this cam for about two weeks now and the performance and quality are just way better than my old cam. The wide viewing angles and most importantly the privacy features have been well implemented. No issues as of now.

This is a rather basic webcam with a good picture and the fact that it has a sliding cover for the lens is a welcome feature. However, I have two complaints. The sound quality is not as good as I would like, and the clamp to attach it to the monitor comes down too far and covers a portion of the top line of my browser. I use it rather infrequently, so I can live with the second flaw but am not at all pleased with the first.

Great image quality, great mic, and VALUE
The field of view is little wide for my liking. At my mounting point, which is a wide monitor that is pretty close to my keyboard/face (it's not far away), the camera picks up a lot of my surrounding room (and I am featured smallishly in the frame).
The video quality is far better than any laptop's default pinhole webcam. And, the mics to a great job of picking up conversational speech clearly.
This camera was plug & play for me on my Win 11 desktop computer.

This webcam has great software implemented within it! Its picture quality was definitely something impressive for this price point! With the right lighting and positioning I found that I can make the quality of this webcam look even better which is definitely something I reccommend doing if you end up buying this Lenovo webcam. Looking at other webcams within similar price ranges I really don't think it gets much better than this one, even other reviewers seem to agree! The support and instructions are also very detailed and helpful if you aren't tech knowledgeable and need help with the installation process. The only downside to this product I think would be if you're looking for something a little more professional and not just for zoom/discord as it does tend to be on the grainier side.

A very efficient and economically priced camera that has great clarity and remains in focus. It has a very broad horizontal range of coverage which makes it ideal for Zoom-type gatherings where there are more than just one member trying to be covered.

Solid webcam for the price
Easy to set up, computer and Zoom immediately recognized it, stays on the monitor well. I sit in a pretty bright room and it does wash me out a bit, so I bet it would do well in a low light setting. It also gets a bit grainy if I am very large on someone else's screen. However, I am very pleased with it for the price and it's not been a headache at all

Good camera
Finally I got an inexpensive, but very decent webcam. Tried several five star rated no-brand name products from Amazon and returned all of them because of poor video quality (rated HD!, sound or even hanging my computer. No issues with this one. One thing missing in this one is lack of manual and/or software to use advertised digital zoom. I have no idea how to use this feature.

Affordable webcam. We purchased it to record birds from outside, it struggles a bit with bright sun light. Resolution is ok. It was cheap, it serves it's purpose but definitely not a high end webcam.

Great camera. Makes me look great and the clarity is really nice. Most laptop cameras stop at 720p and that does the job, but I wanted a better look and feel to my videos. I spend a lot of time in zoom meetings and also make content. So having a good camera with good sound pick up is crucial. This camera easily allows me to take the quality with me between computers but also has really good dual mics to pick up sound well. Love it. Get lots of compliments on my picture when everyone else has that slightly fuzzy granular look at times.

The camera was plug and play. Even my most technology-averse employee got this setup without help. The picture quality is grainy. It isn't to the point that it's unusable. In fact, the price point made it a great buy for the person that seldom uses video conferencing software but on occasion does want/need to be seen. If you are on camera every day, I would get something with better picture quality.

Overall a great camera for the price. Wish the view wasn't so wide, but just means I need to keep my office a little more tidy. Camera was plug and play with my 2015 era Macbook Pro. The built in-mics seem to work well and those whom I have zoomed, skyped, and Microsoft team'd with prior to getting the camera have all stated my video looks better on their end. Great WebCam for the price point.

I bought it on sale. The camera is secure on my monitor with the clamp. No adhesive tape is necessary. Unlike other models, which I found were not very secure when attached to the monitor. I am using it on Windows 10 computer. It works well with XSplit VCam. Free software that gives you a virtual background.

It's worked great. The camera is physically adjustable so you can easily get the right angle. I also love the slide over camera cover because paranoia, and also so I'm always ready when the camera comes on.

Bought this to replace a Logitech webcam i had. This Lenovo webcam has excellent video, a wider view angle, and good built in stereo microphone recording. I’ve used it for teaching, socializing, and even recording YouTube videos. The 1080p quality is great.
In low light it also performs admirably: overall you cannot beat it for the price. I have yet to find a webcam at this price that can even approach the quality offered

The camera quality is decent. You shouldn't take this camera for high definition filming, but for MS Teams calls it work perfect. Haven't tried with other platform, but it should be compatible with Webex and Zoom.

Not crazy about this webcam, it was cheap so I guess its alright
- mic is always on... I physically disconnect it when its not in use
- image is grainy in low light
- very wide image, could be a pro for some?
I had planned on returning it but decided it will do for what I paid and now that I disconnect it. It wont blow you away but it was also pretty cheap

Image and mic both seem to work fine.
My only challenge is that it stands tall, so when placed on top of a large monitor (as in some of the images on the website), I get a high angle shot of myself, which is not your usual video call view - so think where you plan to place it before you buy it

I wish there was a mechanism to zoom in a bit as the view is very broad angle
also an option to select a 1:1 aspect ratio so only a square image shows up, cutting the right and left of the view.

Clarity of the image is quite good. Functionality of the configuration software is slightly disappointing compared to i.e. a similar Logitech camera as it is missing features such as digital Zoom. This limits its usefulness in a streaming setup.

A Great and Solid Camera
I had bought another brand's webcam at the same price and it started having problems almost immediately, this one managed to work perfectly from day one and has already latest longer that the previous one. On top of that, this is truly 1080p, which is not the case for most webcams sold elsewhere.

A decent lower end webcam. Very wide angle if that's what you are looking for. Otherwise I recommend using at the closer setting. Somewhat grainy at the wide angle setting. The microphone is better then some of the competition.

Solid camera for the price, looks good and clips well on my large curved monitor. Sound and video are decent, fine for zoom, but not as good as the better models. Only downside is it uses standard drivers which means any adjustments are done by the software app you are using, there is no dedicated app by Lenovo to change any settings.

Sadly, this camera didn't live upto my expectations. I have a dell vostro which has a half decent webcam but I was looking for something better. After reading reviews online I ordered this. But this turned out to be worse than my laptops camera. I guess I will have to spend 100 bucks to get a better camera.

Looks good. Image quality is good. However, the driver is buggy and the camera may not be recognized by video conference apps sometimes (you will have to re-plug and some other silly things). No zoom functionality is also a big miss.

Inexpensive camera for daily needs
Good camera for basic needs - meeting, chat,..I am using this camera mostly for meetings on my desktop where light is good, no movement during meeting. For sure you can buy better and more expensive camera but this is good choice for daily needs. Audio is better than video on this product.

Great product for a reasonable price
This is my second webcam from Lenovo. The earlier one was similar but not exactly the same model. This is a really good value for the money. The picture was very clear and sound was good from the other side. Overall, I am happy with this product and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good webcam.

Good WebCam for online meetings.
Camera takes good picture/videos. Actually I paid more attention to the microphone, tested a lot, and compared with the microphone on my Logitech headset. My mouth was about 40cm away from the mic, this mic is able to pick up whatever I talk clearly, even when I just murmured, the diff with the headset is this mic picks up more environment noises, under acceptable level for sure.

Great Webcam. Very clear video and sensitive microphone. Installation is super easy. Just insert into any USB port, then it will be precisely recognized by Windows 10 right away. The only two small drawbacks are the dim lights (looks not very useful) and the unsmooth cover (I have to push harder to move it).

Works well, picture colour misleading
Works well and is pretty clear. I bought it thinking the colour was white, but it is silver (says in the description but doesn't quite match the picture, it's darker and I think cheaper looking). Haven't tried the audio since I use a headphone microphone.

For the price (on sales), it is pretty good quality and with 1080p camera and also can follow the person walk around the room, also have a mic that come with the camera is extremely useful as it's like you speak in front of the audience, used it on my windows PC that does not come with mic & camera

Amazing! Minus colour difference.
Quality is amazing for the price! Set up is easy, and mounts on the monitor perfectly. 4 stars bc it just doesn’t look the same colour or texture as the picture. In the picture it looks white and glossyish, in person it is grey and not glossy :| and I was hoping to add to a white set up. Other than the colour difference everything is awesome.

Good quality 1080P Webcam
This is solid quality 1080P webcam. It is a great value, especially when it is on sale. The microphones are pretty decent as well and the privacy shutter is a nice feature. It has a white light that stays on whenever it is receiving power and a separate green light that turns on when the webcam is capturing video.

Really great resolution the only down side is the fact that you cannot controle the zoom of the cam unless there is an option in the software you're using. Anything else is great. Good vidéo quality for work its perfect.

True 1080p...great webcam
Added this to cart on a whim when purchasing a Lenovo laptop. Great price for 1080p cam and better quality than any internal webcam I've used. Convenient sliding cover over lens, nothing really to setup, just plug n play. Stable and adjustable mount. Glad I purchased!

Extra Long Cable is Big Plus!
This webcam has an extra long cable which allows so much more flexibility in locations it can be placed at. It also works well. One thing that could be improved- the privacy cover is detachable and could be lost.

Great value in a pandemic-inflated webcam world.
No complaints, very nice webcam with a unique silver. It looks much more silver than the images show, however still looks great regardless. Image quality is perfect at a solid 1080p for all applications (Zoom)

Does the work very well.
The light adjusts automatically which is great, so always provides clear image.
Very stable on my light laptop lid. Happy for that.
Mic available on the camera but I use my laptop mic so can't comment on that.
