The Lantronix M/E-ISW-02 Series is a hardened DIN rail-mountable fiber media converter designed to extend and protect Ethernet connections in industrial and harsh environments. It converts between Ethernet 10/100Base-TX over RJ-45 and 100Base-FX via an SFP mini-GBIC to help maintain reliable network links where fiber connectivity is required. The unit supports wide operating temperatures from -40°C to 75°C and high humidity tolerance, and it includes protection features such as overload protection and reverse polarity protection to increase uptime in demanding installations. Status indicators for power and link/activity, Fast Ethernet data link support, auto-negotiation, MDI/MDI-X switching, and Far End Fault detection simplify deployment and monitoring while an external power adapter keeps power consumption low at 2.5 watts. The converter meets multiple emissions and immunity standards for industrial use, providing a compact, dependable solution for bridging copper and fiber segments on control panels and network racks.
