This Juniper Networks High-Capacity Air Filter and Tray helps prevent the entry of dust particles inside your networking device. It is designed for use with the Juniper Networks MX960 Universal Routing Platform. To ensure optimum cooling of the router, regularly inspect the air filter and replace it every six months. When replacing normal-capacity fan trays with high-capacity fan trays in the MX960 router, you must replace the front normal air filter tray with a high-capacity filter tray and air filter.
