The Good and the Not So Good
The wireless aspect is great. On the negative side, the directions were so spartan that I was shocked when I got them to pair with my devices. Finally, the earbuds don't stay in my ears when I'm wearing them while walking.

Good other than size.
The sound good for the price and connect easily. They do not have any sizable earpieces and seem to be made for people with above average ear sizes. Anyone with average or smaller do not buy.

One earbud will not connect
I bought these for my daughter a few months ago, and at first they worked great. She loved them, but now the right earbud will not connect to any devices she tries to pair with. She had tried resetting, troubleshooting, everything to get the right earbud to work but it just won't. The left earbud works great, but it is the only one that does. the right earbud keeps flashing blue and white but will not pair to anything. She's tried charging it, to no avail. I have heard about this problem occurring with this model several times, but did not believe it. This buy was a waste of my money and I am extremely disappointed.

Charging pod is the downfall.
My wife bought me these is late October. By January the right one stopped charging in the pod. I have the pod plugged in for adequate times and the headphones die often or dont charge. At least the jbl over the ear ones last about a year compared to these at about 2 months. I go to the gym for 1 hour 3-4 times a week is all

Dead Headphone and Issue with Repairing
I have three other JBL products that work great. I've found that they are a great value for the product. But that hasn't been my experience with the Tune 225TWs. I have to say when they are working, they have great sound quality and the microphone sounds good for calls. However, I bought them about a month ago and the right headphone won't keep a charge. I've also had a hard time pairing between two devices. I bought them to use with my iPhone and my Peloton. They automatically pair to my Peloton. However, after I disconnect from my bike, I can't get them to pair to my iPhone.

Battery drains while in case and closed
Had these for 6 months, used them once, then tried to use them after two weeks - battery drained, both on the headphones and the case. Charged to full, used for a little bit, put them in case and in 3 weeks again - battery of the headphones and the case completely drained. Charged, used them a little, put away for a week - headphone battery full but case on one blinking light. That is absolutely insane. I have cheap wireless earbuds from other (good Chinese) brand, that stay in the case for 6 months and both headphones and case are at full. This is absolutely asinine on JBL's part.
I wish I can say anything about the sound, but I can't. I don't cary these in my backpack, or any place that isn't home because of the unreliable battery and case. When in case and battery is charged, these should shut down, and not drain both heaphones and case in 2-3 weeks. They should have good charge 9 months at least when not used, but that is not the case. I cary with me a good brand chinese ones that actually can be used whenever I need them (because unlike JBL, the chinese ones have made proper case and headphones)

Excellent bluetooth ear buds!
Been looking at the 225's for a while.
I'm not a fan of the silicon earplug-style ear buds, and these are the perfect solution.
Sound quality is much better than expected! Incredible bass for this type of earphone! My only gripe is the volume doesn't go as high as I'd prefer, but it's definitely not a deal breaker.
Bluetooth range is amazing! Definitely much better than anything else I've owned in this regard.
Battery life is decent, but I also bought them with the understanding that a tiny battery isn't going to last a long time.
I love the fact that right or left can be used independently if needed.
Have had no complaints of issues with phone calls either.
Another great product from JBL!

Decent headphones
Good sound quality but thought it could have focused a little more on the base, especially when that was on of the selling points. Very small and slim which I enjoy. This head phones are awesome for just working on a school project, cleaning around the house or just wanting to talk hands free . I wouldn't recommend for exercise they did tend to slip out my ear when i tried. Overall i think its a good headset .

The sound is AMAZING! I can actually feel the bass and hear it clearly. Only down side is these don’t fit my in my ears properly so it does not cancel outside noise. I wish there were pieces that can be switched out according to user so that it would fit in my ear correctly without falling out

when they stay put firmly in my ears, they sound great! but even slight movement you lose the bass. if you have large ear canals, i'd recommend going with earbuds with silicon tips. it'd be great if these had molds to help them stay in your ear for those of us with large ear canals

Sound is where it’s at!
The JBL TUNE 225TWS pods sound amazing! JBL never disappoints in sound! I will however, say that I was surprised that they were not comfortable. They were so uncomfortable that I could not wear them for more than 20 minutes at a time. I live for being able to clean the house and listen to my music wirelessly. Not being comfortable would definitely sway me from purchasing this product. The one other thing that makes this product more average than not, is the inability to control the volume except from your source of music.
Overall, this product has the best sound, but not the comfort.

Fast delivery, nice packaging. Good quality product. Lightweight, easy to charge, good battery life.
I want to loose weight. What is this have to do with the review? Well.. exercising is part of my process. I like to run and listening to music. At first using the headphones was easy but I had trouble keeping them in my ears. I ve tried both ear thingies but they are too big for my ears. Especially right one keeps falling off. Tried all positions to make it stay..I have small ears. Then after wearing them for more than an hour my ears start to hurt. Maybe I'm still not used to them. Overall they are good earphones but not good enough for me.

Poor fit
I love the sound on these earbuds...unfortunately they only sound good when I use my fingers to push them in my ears. As soon as I let go they start backing out, the volume drops, the bass drops and everything is thin with lots of background noise. Wishing there was a rubber or foam insert that would keep these things in position!. Does JBL have anything or is there a third party solution?

Amazing Sound
I'm very satisfied with the JBL Tune 224TWS wireless earphones. They have an amazing sound and don't hurt my ear drums with any unpleasant noises like scratching or beeping, so they are great for people with sensitive hearing. At the same time they fit perfectly, without me thinking that they might fall out at any moment, so I don't have the urge to fix them every two seconds when I'm wearing them. And they are really comfortable to wear, I can leave them in for hours without complaining. The battery is also super long lasting, so that I don't have to worry about them running out at random. And all that while maintaining a reasonable price, even though they are from a prestige brand like JBL, which is kinda rare nowadays.
All in all I'm very satisfied and happy with then, so that I can only recommend them further to anyone that is debating to buy wireless earphones for an objectively good price and definitely good quality.

Started to fall apart after 3 weeks
I got these on sale for $30 but even then I wouldn't recommend them. They started to fall apart after not even 3 week of very light use, maybe 2 hours a week tops. The rubber that coats the part that goes in your ear just started to fall apart and became very painful to my ear. I can't use them anymore because of this, but sound wise they were ok, they didn't really fit me right so it didn't sound right

Waste of Money
I bought this pair of headphones a year and a half ago and they lasted 6 months before the left side would no longer charge. They were replaced under the warranty and then 7 months later they broke again and since I was out of warranty all I was offered was a coupon to buy another pair. Extremely frustrating that a product costing $120 doesn't last longer than 6 months. I normally love JBL but this has made me thing again.

Tune 225tws
The JBL Live Pro TWS deliver excellent noise cancellation. All of these features plus a customizable EQ. The tips didn't fit securely in my ear...I felt as if I could hear outside noise too easy. Possibly an ear tip like the air pods pro have would make these way better for me.The third option called smart audio video deals with optimizing the actual Bluetooth connection stays in one mode or another at all times. Under noise canceling there are 3 modes that seem to go from more daily noise canceling this was the my favorite mode that seemed to simply get the job done to travel mode planes and trains to an active mode that seems to block noise maybe a tad less. The ambient sound control has two options with are ambient aware felt like a solid ambient mode and talkthru which seemed to lower the listening volume while raising what the mics were picking up.There is also a customizable EQ that comes with three presets jazz, vocal and bass plus the ability for the user to add their custom tweaks. I personally seemed to lean toward the jazz preset with the lush bass but that was just my preference. The overall sound stage was definitely sweet. I listened to Taylor Swift, Lil Baby, Pantera, Herbie Hancock plus a whole lot more. This is an area Im glad the app has EQ settings for not just myself but everyone to have a chance to dial in their sound preferences. The horns and guitars are crisp, and the bass sounds deep. Vocals sound clean and pure and nothing seemed to really drown out or overpower another area of sound. I took a phone call to test the quality and the caller said they could not tell I was using anything different. The specs boast voice clarity with 3mics technology and from what I could tell they seemed to deliver.Overall, Im glad to own these and thankful once again JBL got the whole dual connect part absolutely seamless. If I just want one side in my ear, it simply lets me do that without a finicky connection hassle Thanks for keeping this process simple JBLA few more notes about the JBL Live Pro TWS Case uses USBC to charge or wireless charging IPX4 water resistance Comes with several ear tip sizes to fully customize the fit Will work with google assistant and alexa Battery boasts 6hrs18hrscase charging with noise cancelling on and 17hrs21hrs with noise canceling off.

JBL 225TWS earbuds review
I decided to try the JBL 225 TWS earbuds as I had never used earbuds that have a stem design like Apple AirPods and I was curious as to how they would perform. My evaluation on these earbuds was based on using Apple devices (iPhone, iPad) only as I have no Android devices.
As far as design goes, the 225 earbuds have rounded tips, a matte finish and are made out of hard plastic. The long stem has rubber outer covering. There are physical buttons on the outer edge of both earbuds which provide the controls. These controls purely basic and are not customizable. The 225’s are compatible with Siri and Google Assistant.
The JBL 225 TWS’s do not have silicone ear tips. The design is such that the earbuds stay in your ear (most of the time) but they do not provide a secure seal inside your ear. You basically have to slide them in your ear canal and twist them slightly to secure. Unfortunately, my ears got sore after an hour of use. The lack of a good seal turned out to be a problem when I used the 225’s while doing physical activity (like mowing the grass). I found that whenever I looked down, that movement loosened the earbuds and on several occasions one of them would fall out. The lack of a secure fit affects noise isolation too. I found that without a secure seal, outside noise would get into my ears and disturb my music listening in noisy environments. The passive noise isolation levels are on the lower side due to the previously mentioned lack of sealed fit. The design helps the earbuds snug in up to a certain extent, but it is not enough to keep out the noises from creeping into your ear. Compounding this is that the 225’s do not come with Active Noise Cancelation.
The JBL Tune 225 earbuds use Bluetooth 5.0 for Connectivity which is an upgrade from other earbuds I own that only have Bluetooth 4.2. They paired with my devices seamlessly and pairing was quick! They provided clear connections up to 30 ft and even further as I noticed while working out in my yard. I didn’t notice any lags when video streaming on YouTube or Netflix. The 225’s also has Dual Connect technology that allows you to use earbuds independently. That means that you could use one earbud to make a call or listen to music while the other earbud charges. This was a great feature for me.
The JBL 225’s comes with a Hardshell charging case with a smooth design that makes it very easy to fit into any kind of pocket. On the front, there is the JBL logo and on the bottom, there is a charge port. The charging case has a glossy finish inside along with three indicator lights that show the remaining charge. The lid is magnetic and the earbuds are secured inside by magnets. I found that the earbuds were fairly difficult to remove from the case as I couldn’t get a sufficient grip on the individual earbuds. That is much better than the earbuds just falling out though! The JBL Tune 225’s has 22mA Lithium-ion batteries to provide the power. With regard to battery life, the 225’s box indicates that you will get 5 hours of playtime and the charging case can provide for another 20 hours - therefore you can end up with around 25 hours of playtime. I found these values to be fairly accurate and were more than enough for daily use. The case provides a fast-charging capability for the earbuds - fifteen minutes in the case would give an hour of playback time. There are two indicator lights on each earbud, and they will blink in white if the battery is low. The JBL Tune 225 TWS comes with USB Type-C charging but it does not support wireless charging. I really do like the USB C charging as it provides, in my experience, for faster charging. I recently built a new PC with a USB Type-C port on the front of the case so this will work perfectly for the 225’s.
The 225’s come with JBL True Bass Sound. I found the sound quality of 225’s to be well balanced. The sound was clear at both mid and high volumes with no distortion detected. Even though the earbuds do not have a sealed fit, they still have good audio quality and provide a good listening experience. The bass is great – helped along by the 12mm drivers. The microphones allowed for very clear calls which is a definite plus! The JBL Tune 225 TWS does not support the JBL Headphone app on my phone which is unfortunate as I like to have a built-in equalizer and customizable controls. Other than the basic controls (fast forward, reverse, and voice assistance on both right and left earbuds), there is no way of controlling the earbud’s volume. That means you have to dig out your phone to change the volume. A definite bummer!
The JBL 225 TWS’s do not have an IP Rating which is disappointing. Consequently, with no IP rating I’m not sure if the 225’s would survive a heavy workout session in the gym or a run during a slight drizzle. That said, the 225’s withstood my perspiration from mowing the grass on a hot day, so that’s a good sign! I own other earbuds (including JBL Live 300’s) that come with an IPX5 or IPX7 rating.
I am pleased with the JBL 225 TWS earbuds. They were really easy to set up to the point that I didn't need the instructions at all. All of the controls worked well and the battery life was very good. The earbuds sounded great for both music and phone calls providing very good clarity and adequate bass. The lack of silicon tips allowed the earbuds to fall out of my ears periodically while doing strenuous activities which was an annoyance. Additionally, the hard plastic material used for earbud construction caused discomfort in my ears after about an hour of use. Overall, I would say that the JBL 225 TWS earbuds are a good product for making phone calls and casual music listening.

I haven`t tried it for this long yet, but so far I am satisfied. Good sound and base, fits good in my ears, but they could have been a bit more comfortable. I've used it while I was jogging outside when it was very windy. The sound did get a bit away. Had to turn up the sound, but heard the wind. Not so easy to hear the cars behind me on the road. Easy to use, connected easy to my phone.

JBL products are usually excellent in quality and sound. But the Tune 225TWS is not that I can honestly say is recommended. I find that they are very uncomfortable to use in the ear, and falls out way too easily. The sound is excellent but since they didn’t come with ear tips for comfort and fit, I can’t comfortably wear them. Rubber or silicone ear tips should of come in the package to help prevent the buds from falling out! Otherwise, great features and sound.

The design is solid, I personally prefer physical buttons and that's what they use, for me this is useful when I'm hearing a ski helmet or my hands are really sweaty. The stems are a bit bulkier than I'd like but that's about it.
Fit is decent, stays in ur ear, I got a little ear soreness after a few hours for the first few days but after that it wasn't noticeable.
Sound quality is solid too, reasonably balanced sound, good bit of bass boost likely to compensate for having an open air design. The open air design means solid sound stage too.

Hurts my ears
My wife bought me a pair for Christmas. And the rubber on the ear piece has already started coming loose, and it dig's into my ear and causing it to be sore. This first happened to the left earbud so I only use one now. Also because the left earbud has half the sound of the right earbud.
I was very excited to receive these earbuds. I thought that since they were from a good brand, that they would be awesome. But unfortunately they are pretty terrible.
JBL, you might try using stronger glue around the edges of the rubber so it stays attached to the plastic. I had really high hopes for this product. I've only had cheaper type earbuds up to this point and unfortunately it looks like I will continue to buy cheaper brands because of this. My wife paid more thinking they would be better, but that was certainly not the case.
They did sound good for a few days as a pair.
The right earbud has great sound, but it hurts to much to wear them anymore.

Awesome wireless earbuds that are as good as wired
These Tune 225s are great. I spent time comparing them with conventional wired in-ear earbuds, as well as open-backed over-the-ear earphones and I am very impressed. The song I listened to is a .flac of Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd off the album The Wall Immersion Edition: 2011 Remaster.
The Tune 225s handled the complexities of Comfortably Numb with ease and surprising bass for wireless earbuds. The highs of the violin weren't washed out by the bass guitar during the chorus. This sound quality was as good as or better than the wired in-ear buds.
One area I think these could be improved is in ear comfort. The piece that is inserted into your ear is a rubberized plastic, which could use more rubber or some other kind of material to make prolonged use more comfortable.

Good sound, poor battery life
Love jbl products and have been looking for a good airpods alternative. Was hopeful about these wireless headphones, but the battery life is terrible. Usually they do not even get through 40 minutes of music or podcasts at a medium-high volume. The edges of the headphones where the speaker fits into that goes into your eardrum are also very sharp and uncomfortable.

These do NOT play in real real stereo.
No matter how you change the sequence of button pushes these will never play in true stereo. No good for listening to music. Only good for mono listening or phone conversations. There is NOTHING explaining this limitation in the literature or in their sales pitch. Useless for me. If there is some “magic” button sequence it is too hard to once let alone every time.

Lightweight, clear, crisp earbuds
Very lightweight, but powerful earbuds. Great quality when on phone calls or playing games, those on the other end couldn't tell I was wearing earbuds. The music quality is what you would expect from a JBL product. They are not noice canceling earbuds but still blocked out a good amount of outside noice when wearing them listening to music. When they are just in the ear, not playing music, you can hear someone talking fine. Again, very lightweight, I almost forgot I was wearing them.

Love them...except
I have owned these for less than 6 months and was very happy with the fit and comfort. Sound quality was what I expected from JBL and phone call quality was great. I had other earbuds that went into the ear canal and I felt like I was tuned out to the world. After a few months they started to get more uncomfortable and I realized the rubber piece on the end was coming off and was irritating my ear. It has continued to get worse.

Overall pretty good!
These earbuds are quite comfortable and sound *nice*. It takes an equalizer to make them sound *great*, however, due to a lack of bass. The battery life seems to be sufficient. The material/build of the earbuds is high quality, but the case is problematic. It's a pain in the neck trying to remove them from the case. For this price point, these are good earbuds overall.

JBL Tune 225TWS
These earbuds are lightweight and comfortable, regardless of not having changeable tips. It felt secured at all time and never felt as if it would fall out. The sound quality is very good and probably surpasses other brands at this price range, although it does not offer much noise cancelling. The earbuds are not compatible with the app, so cannot change the controls or audio settings for the earbuds itself. The control buttons are not soft touch and does require a bit of extra effort which can make it dig into your ear a bit, it also does not allow for changing the volume on the buds itself. On continuous use you will get between 4 to 5 hours before the battery is done. The case charges the buds well. The design is sleek and well presented. The case is comfortable to carry on your person. Overall good earbuds for the price range.

I love these
I received the JBL Tune 225TWS for testing. The packaging is made very excellent. The case looks very classy and high quality, it also shows you the charging level from the case. Now we come to the excellent In Ear pods from JBL 225TWS, which are just bombastic. You hear every bass and every sound, you always get good mood through it. You can make calls for a really long time, you connect them via Bluetooth and can also see how much battery your ear pods still have. By 20% battery give you the ear pods a signal tone and at 10% again. If the battery of the ear pods enter put it in their Case and they will be charging. I love them and use them anytime and anywhere, when cooking, cleaning, dancing, shopping etc. You can really use them anywhere.

Quality at a great price
Overall a good option for anyone looking for this style (airpod type) that's not too expensive but offers JBL quality. The unit has a good overall sound quality but some may say a little bass lacking if that's what you are looking for. Battery is good and connects easily with devices. Fit is nice and comfortable and seem to stay in during moderate activity. Overall a solid in ear device that is packed with JBL quality without breaking the bank. The overall look is very high end too!

Good fit and doesn't wear your ears out.
The sound is good at first but once you get used to the sound, I wish they would become louder and not noise canceling like the Airpod pro's but for the price they have decent sound and wont come out loose. Placing them in the charging case does take getting used because each side is specific and color coded based on the side and need to be flipped a certain way to fit perfectly in the charging case. The charging case is a nice size and a matte black color with a nice feel to it.

Nice earbuds for the buck
Earbuds are really comfortable, the case is of an appropiate size. USB-C which is a standard now, no wireless charging. The way the buds fits into the ear are really good, and they even seem to block some of the sound even though they are not Noise Cancelling. The way the pair to bluetooth is a little weird.

Solid Hands Free Connections
These buds do a fine job on phone calls and listening to spoken word audio. For music, I find the lack of controls frustrating (I also own the JBL Live Pro+ TWS buds). I've never pushed the battery life hard, as the buds + case provide many hours of use. I especially enjoy the ability to use one bud at a time for phone calls, extending the life even further.
The buds and case feel solid and stable. The latch travels easily and smoothly, and secures the buds quite well via the magnetic closure.
What I find most lacking about these is the comfort level. These are not shaped comfortably for my ears, and the lack of rubber covers exacerbates the issue. They somehow manage to feel too big and simultaneously like they could easily fall out. They are most definitely suited for at-desk work/study, as opposed to trying to use them during any form of exercise.

Yeah, I can live with these!
Submitting a review of the JBL TUNE225TWS earbuds. And the review is from an older retired guy who loves music. Upon looking at the packaging I wondered if these units were designed and manufactured for a younger generation. It did prove out my thought was correct. But that is where the market is at.
Unboxing and charging the units was no issue, in fact quite easy. Later I tried to connect Bluetooth to my Samsung phone. No luck. So go read the instructions and the printing style and small size prevented me from accurately reading the instructions. OK, go the computer and do basic research, I had to install the “MY JBL HERADPHONES” app. Then I could connect..Problem solved. Not sure what “FAST PAIR” means but...
The earbuds being a hard plastic were surprisingly comfortable for listening to music for an hour or two. I tend to listen without any equalization and prefer flat tome controls. I found the mids and highs very pleasant and with minimal colorization. I did find the bass on the weak side although I was expecting a heavier and louder bass due to the words “PURE BASS” on the box. Just as well as I prefer a flat to attenuated bass.
Now the next day I couldn’t find the earbuds and case on my messy desk. The black case simply disappeared on my darker desk. Once found, the easy solution was a couple pieces of green electrical tape on the case. Another problem solved.
Next project/experiment. Would the JBL earbuds connect with the Bluetooth in my desktop computer? My initial thought was no as there is no download for connection purposes. Give it a try none the less. They connected!!
For the next two hours I listened to a wide variety of music. Big Band, piano solos, acoustic guitar, harsh electric guitar, opera singers, pop singers, country music, different rock-n-roll and so on. I came away with the same conclusions as the day before.
Final conclusion: For a suggest retail of $99.95, I would not have a problem giving a new set to one of my older Grand Children. I will continue to use the JBL TUNE225TWS on an occasional basis. I do expect a reasonable lifespan and these units will a welcome addition to my music listening enjoyment.

Awesome little headphones
I love the feel of these headphones. They feel very well constructed. Upon opening them I utilized the included usb c cable to charge them all the way up. They were charged in no time. Pairing was also very simple. I pulled them out of the case and my phone was able to find them with no issues. Now I’m usually not a fan of this style headphone. They usually fall out of my ear easily and don’t offer good sound quality. Typically having to turn them constantly to get a good sound or fit. That was not the case with the Tune 225’s. They fit perfectly and don’t fall out of my ears. Sound quality is amazing. These have a 12mm driver which I find to be large for this style headphone. The bigger the driver the better because these headphones thump! Plenty of bass! Mids are decent as well as the high frequencies. The headphones get loud. Very loud! I always find myself wanting more volume with headphones but not with the Tune 225’s. They are loud enough.
I have now been using these for close to two weeks. I use them at work and casual listening outside and around my house. They have great range. I can leave my phone inside my house and go and get the mail without losing any connection. They don’t fall out when I walk or shake my head. They will get Loose if I’m jumping or running. I wouldn’t use these for bike riding. They offer great noise isolating but don’t have any type of active awareness feature. I’d also be scared they would fall out of my ears and get lost easily while riding vigorously. It would be nice to see a feature to find the headphones if they were to get lost.
I like how I could use one bud at a time if I wanted. Having a button on each one is also nice and very easy to use. I like this over a touch sensitive button. I find that having buttons makes the selection more accurate and easy to execute. I can answer calls and skip tracks forwards and back. You can also access your assistant from a press of a button.
As I mentioned I have been using these for almost two weeks. I play them at loud volumes of over 75 percent. I haven’t charged them since the first initial charge. The case shows one led so they may need to get charged soon. The battery life is Phenomenal. 15 minutes in the case gives an hour of listening time. They are rated to last about 25 hours between using them and placing them back in the case. Speaking of the case, it’s small, light, and adds 20 hours of use to the headphones. Has usb c connector for charging. It also has a series of led lights to show how much juice is left in the case.
The headphones give you stereo voice calls when of course you have both in your ears. Not just voice calls out of one ear. You can still use one side at a time. I’ve been told they sound great without knowing I was using headphones by the person on the other line. They sync well to videos also when watching YouTube and other streaming services. No noticeable issues with lip syncing.
The small form factor has made these my go to for going to work and using headphones. They fit in my shirt pocket and are not as noticeable as larger ear buds or over the ear/ on ear headphones. The fact that they have a very full sound is also very rewarding when I’m listening to my favorite tracks. They offer enough noise isolation to block out noise while listening, even without having active noise cancelation features. These are definitely worth the asking price and am glad to own this pair.

Decent earphones, they look good too
Was very happy for the price and student discount on top and the sound is good. However, they fall out my ears even when I'm chewing gum and the frustrating part is not being able to pair them with devices that ask for a pin on them. No pin ever works. Took ages to pair them with Laptop, as for gym equipment you can forget it. Spent a lot of time researching how to videos, no advice works.

Bought these to replace my air pods after those started having issues. These JBL ear buds fit the same as the air pods; both feel comfortable and don’t fall out of my ear. I’d say the JBL’s sound is clearer and the button on the ear buds functions way better than the air pods’ touch sensor ever did.

Some great features, plus a few annoyances
There are some things that I really like about these, and some that I wish were a little different.
First, the pluses:
1- They stay in my ears better than expected. They stayed in through a day of normal weekend housework, a walk, and even a run on a treadmill. They’re not a tight fit, but the design lets them stay put without much adjusting.
2- The sound quality is good, and you can also hear other sounds around you really easily. This is especially helpful if you need to hear ambient noises and/or need to be able to easily hear when someone else is talking to you.
3- Setup and the controls are really intuitive. I’m sure I’ll read through the user’s manual a little later to learn the more nuanced details, but I was able to connect and get started with these immediately as well as to find the on-earbud controls easily.
4- You can use just one earbud at a time if you don’t want to wear both at the same time. This can be really useful, though it’s not a feature that I use often.
5- The case is small, easy to slip into a pocket, and has a nice aesthetic to the shape.
Next, the things I didn’t love:
1- These earbuds can get a little uncomfortable after a while, especially if you have smaller ears. To be fair, I have that problem with almost every set of earbuds I have, so that’s probably as much about my ears as it is about the earbuds. However, a set of silicone covers (the same ones that you can buy online to fit over a prevalent similar shaped earbud that comes with a major phone brand fit these too) can help improve comfort really quickly. They seem to get more comfortable over time, so I also suspect that my ears will adjust.
2- I really wish that I had the option to block more sound with these, especially when in the gym. I’ve been appreciating the active noise cancelling option on another set of earbuds, and I wish these would also have an option for blocking surrounding noises. That’s not actually possible with the shape of these… but a good set of silicone covers that includes a silicone tip that fits into your ear canal does wonders for helping block other noises and improving sound quality.
3- The charger is not a standard micro-usb or lighting cable, so I can’t just plus these into one of the chargers that I’m already using on a regular basis for other devices. This won’t matter for most people since the charger you need ships with the earbuds, but was a minor annoyance.
Overall, these probably won’t be my favorite go-to set of earbuds that I tend to reach for first, but they’re a nice set that I will use often, especially since I find myself rotating through different sets with different earbud shapes fairly often now that I’m spending so much time on conference calls while working from home.

They are OK.
These headphones are okay. When I saw these were the like the new version of the 220's I thought OK improvements... But apparently the only improvement was being able to use either ear bud separately and some battery life. At the $100 mark and being a new version I thought there would be passive sound and touch controls. While that is not a deal breaker it is something that should be in there so in my opinion you are buying these for the name "JBL". Also the name pure bass is misleading... wheres the bass??? If I could do it over again I would have saved my money. But since I bought them, I do use them a lot and they come in handy when I'm just wanting to enjoy some music while being not having to use a tiring earbud and hear some exterior noise. They never died on me while using them so battery life seems pretty good.

Not quite worth it
I bought these because after seeing the price and know JBL is a great brand I thought it would be a better deal than Apple AirPods. To me, it just didn’t live up to my expectations. The sounds wasn’t great. And to cancel out noises around me the volume had to be all the way up. Personally, I will be returning and will be investing a bit more money to purchase AirPods. I’ve borrowed my friends before and the sound quality it much better and well worth the money.

Lightweight, easy connectivity, quality sound
Easy connectivity to devices. I primarily use Apple products and have experienced zero problems with finding earbuds and connecting. You get a classic JBL confirmation tone when connecting as well as powering down.
Earbuds are lightweight. I often like to just wear one at a time to be more aware of my surroundings as a pedestrian. They provide quality sound for listening to music and podcasts. Even wearing just one earbud is sufficient and good sound.
These earbuds are useful for everyday and moderate physical activity needs.
Easy to charge. Sufficient battery life.

I have purchased jbl around one month ago. Have been using it each day since.its easy to charge and storage. Comfortable to wear even for many hours. Simple to operate and connects well via bluetooth. Sound is clear and deep. Microphone works well too. Works well with android. Excellent for social media calls, music, YouTube, spotify etc.
Definitely a great addition to phone.

Good sound but poor battery life.
I bought mine about 4 months ago. They lasted a couple of months before the battery started failing to last even an hour. I sent them back and received a new set. They sent the wrong colour which isn't that bad but the new set are on the same bad path. I'm really disappointed with the quality of JBL headphones because I know they do some outstanding quality products. They are lucky to get 2 stars. Sorry JBL

Too complicated
Headphones are trash, the right ear barely connects due too the mono feature. It's always acting like it can't connect. Reset multiple times still won't connect. In today's technology age things should not be this complicated to get working. Never had an issue with aAirpods or even the cheap $20 earbuds, just these!!.

Sad
The battery does not live anywhere up to the time listed. It started crying within the first 2 hours after a full charge. It works with apple but it does not like changing devices. You must release it from one then join it to the other. I have a JBL speaker that does not have this problem. Also, the audio cuts out at odd times when listening to videos

Great for the price
I don't usually do reviews but made an exception this time. For the price, the 225 was a good deal. Sound quality was acceptable. JBL does not advertise as waterproof. I can attest that they are. I left one in my pants pocket and it went through a full was cycle. Found it on the bottom of the washer after emptying it. I left it on the counter to dry over night and it still works perfectly. I also like the fact that I can use just one at a time. I only use for phone calls so can get 5-6 hours of talk time. BTW, more talk time then my friends Apple Air Pods. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that there is no volume control or app for that. Still highly recommend.

Durable
I bought these last year. They were great for zoom meetings, walking the dog, and cleaning the house (I can hear my music over the vacuum). I lost one while at my son's practice. I searched the building where I thought I lost it and had no luck. I chalked it up to a loss. I just found the missing one outside. It spent a week outside. It has snowed and rained this week. It is scratched for sure, but I hit the power button, paired my Bluetooth, and the darn thing is still working. I'm impressed. Thanks for a great product!

Save Your Receipt
All I can say is save your receipt or go with Apple. After a bit of time, for me it was 6 months of light use and the right earbud, one of the two earbuds won't receive a charge. Case will charge, left bud will charge just fine, but the right bud stays dark. Google "tune 225 TWS won't charge" and you'll see it's common. JBL doesn't recognize this issue and won't work with you to find a solution. The only way to get a warranty is if you have the receipt. Good luck. Find a better product.

Almost
It's been a good three weeks since I bought these, and they're OK. Not more than that for the price.
I can get app supported better sounding longer lasting buds for less, and still get thumping bass, and clear calls.
Do I love them? Nope.
Do I like them? They're ok.
What's missing, not much. For me the big loss is the value for money. On earbuds close to £100 I expected better.
Would I recommend?
Yes, if cheaper. Say £65-70 and I'd say these are great earbuds, but for me when there are others far superior for only a few quid more, I'd say, get the others in a sale if you can, or spend the extra £20/25.
Ok, it's JBL quality, and that comes at a price, but for me being completely honest, these days a name isn't worth it if it's not that bit more special, and I don't feel these are.
No wireless charge
No app support
Come on JBL, for this price, this should be standard.
I can't say don't buy, just they could have been better.

Went for JBLs (I wanted more) - expected too much
I bought these months ago to be using them for phone calls, office online conferences and occasional music. I often use just one bud and with these JBLs it can only be the right one, since it's kind of "the master bud". The left one cannot connect to a device and play audio while the right one would be charging. They only connect to one device at a time, so you have to disconnect them from the phone before you can use them for computer audio. I found that pulling them out of the case can be sometimes fiddly (and I have small fingers. No volume control, no separate pairing button or command. They seem to me somewhat overpriced, but I have no reference since they are my first BT buds.

Horrible Talk Quality
I bought on the strength of the JBL name and I was excited to get.
Took me like 10min to figure out how to pair with my android, no biggie I guess. But the major disappointment was when I made phone calls, no one could hear me. They said I sounded muffled and even with the volume all the way up on my phone...they could barely hear me.
No setting adjustments available....so disappointed

Great sound out of these air buds at a great price! Easy to use/pair, the charge on them last fairly long. The only downfall in my opinion is the size of the air buds. I prefer the black color then the other guys white, I just wish they were a bit smaller.

Like Bluetooth? You won't Anymore....
These earbuds are fine... when they work. Bluetooth Connectivity is a nightmare with these things. One earbud will randomly decide to go rogue and it'll no longer want to connect to my phone. Almost like each earbud is a completely independent device. It's frustrating. Love JBL speakers, not a fan of JBL earbuds. Buy something else.

JBL Tune Pods
Finally received the earphones last week. Sound is if great quality as always. Battery run time is long-I used it for a good 8 hours then an additional 3-4 hours. Had it then halfway through the night. It was still working without any low battery notifications.
The only flaw I saw was the fit. It’s not good for jogging, it keeps coming off. Fit could be improved but sound quality and battery life-EXCELLENT.

Falls out, uncomfortable, low volume
The ear buds are very uncomfortable in your ear. After answering calls by pressing button on the ear buds (alternating left and right for about a week the insides of my ears are very very sore. They constantly fall out of my ear. Every Bluetooth ear bud set I have ever purchased comes with a silicone of different sizes to help conform the earbud to your ear because SUPRISE!!!! no two people have the same shaped ear. Constantly have to push into ear to feel like they won’t fall. The volume is insultingly low. For 100$ I want to have the option to permanently damage my hearing. JBL refused the return. I know I’m just one guy but I’ll never buy JBL again. Look elsewhere for earbuds, I promise you will be disappointed with these ones.

Pros:-Easy to pair, Sound is good/clear for music and phone conversations, long battery life.
Cons: No noise cancelling (I knew when ordering that there wouldn't be), a little “loose” in the ear, not waterproof/sweat proof from what I could tell.

Good sounding, comfortable buds, but not perfect
I generally prefer the sort of earbuds that go into the ear canal. I find they are more secure in my ears and provide more consistent sound. These are more like the Apple buds, with a similar design, and it is taking some time for me to get used to them. They are very light and very comfortable in my ears, but I still feel like the left bud should be deeper and tighter in my ear. But putting that aside (this is just my preference really), they are very easy to wear for long periods. They also sound very clear and tight, but the bass could be a bit more powerful (I feel that I have to compensate with iPhone eq settings). "Pure Bass" is a bit of a marketing only thing - nothing stellar about the bass response. Also, I find it a little tricky to pull them out of the case (they are hard to grab onto), but you get used to that I guess. One big thing missing is volume control - according to the Quick Start Guide, there are no touch controls for volume, so you will have to manage that from your source device (phone, tablet, whatever). Would I recommend them? Yes and no - they are a mixed bag.

I sent in my earbuds on the warranty , I have to say they did send me a new pair but just a few months in same failure to charge . I sent them in again and they sent me another pair . This pair did the exact same thing 3 months in . Worst product you could buy . Save your money for with a more reputable company like apple ,beats ,Google, or Sony . I did also buy the nc minis and I also had to send those in for repair and those are ok but still would not recommend them. Good sound but horrible quality in the tune 225w

Amazing sound quality - noise cancelling!
I'm constantly trying to find the best wireless headphones and these were a great option. The Bluetooth connection range spans quite a good distance, so I can continue working from home and moving around as and when I need to. The sound was super clear and loud, although it is unfortunate that there is no way to turn this down on the actual earphones - you end up having to go back to your phone for this, which is a bit frustrating. Another great thing about the sound is, it really drowns out other noise, I could not hear anything else whilst wearing them so wasn't distracted and could focus on work, whilst listening to soft music. Would recommend for anyone looking to try a wireless option with good sound quality - great for working out with no distracting noises!

Does not fit well in the ears
I just purchased the 225 tws, wireless head phones with our new s20+ultras cell phones. We tried the headphones and after 30 minutes or so our ears started hurting due to the bad fitting of the ear buds that cause pain in ears. And, yes we read the instructions regarding application to the ear at an angle not straight down. But, this JBL product still hurts. I am currently looking for silicon covers to see if it will help, but currently the market does not make a universal ear wing or cover that I can find. The product is clear in sound, and phone calls. But, we don't use these products as much due to the uncomfortable design that causes pain in the ears.

I bought these at the end of last year and not only does the right one not connect to my phone but the left one is falling apart and they aren't supported on the JBL headphones app any longer so I can't even try to reconnect my right one. Very disappointed in my purchase and feel they were a HUGE waste of money. Save your money and go with a reputable brand.

a good pair of earbuds that you will like
I got these earbuds a couple of weeks ago and started to use them almost every day. There are a couple of things that I really like, yet these are not perfect earbuds, and I will explain why later...
I'll tell you what I like and don't and hope it will help you make an excellent choice.
The charging case has a premium look: matt finish plastic which keeps your earbuds in place with strong magnets, the thing works perfectly, and I enjoy the click when open or close the case. There are led lights inside the case that shows the charge level, and also, when in pairing mode, one of them will blink. It is not bulky and can easily fit in my pockets.
It doesn't have any eartips or fins, yet it has a universal fit. The earbuds would stay on my ears whether I walk .work-out in the gym, or lay on my couch. After you put it, you'll forget you have it in your ears ...
Phone calls are good but not excellent. When I use my android phone, I noticed that the call quality is better than with the apple phone. Though the connection is excellent and will never drop, sometimes the call quality is not perfect compared to other earbuds I use for phone calls. The pairing is excellent. Once you get the earbuds out of the case, it will connect immediately, whether android or apple.
The pairing is excellent. Once you get the earbuds out of the case, it will connect immediately, whether android or apple .
It has 25 hours total battery life; though it advertised 5 hours for earbuds, I could only get 4 hours maximum, maybe because I like to increase the volume to maximum.
Unfortunately, these earbuds are not supported by the JBL headphones app., so you cant control the EQ or update the firmware, change the touch controls, etc...
However, when I look at the price, I can't ask more. These are affordable earbuds that deliver good sound and an excellent fit. If you are low on a budget, these are a perfect choice for any occasion...

Uncomfortable and lasted less than six months
The headphones sit uncomfortably in my ears, personally. Everyone has difference preferences there, my main complaint is after a few months one of the speakers stopped working on the left so both headphones were different volumes. Not long after the right headphone stopped pairing altogether; I've tried everything and it just won't connect to my phone, even though the other one still will. Not worth the money.

Amazing!
I bought the JBL Tune 225TWS about a month ago and I cant tell how much I love them!
They came in a small package with super easy to understand instructions. It took me less then a minute to get them started and enjoy my favourite playlist.
The most I like the fact, that you can make and receive calls handsfree. Just push the button twice to activate Siri, and you can call who ever you want while taking a walk, doing some housework or whatelse.
Just one thing: they could be a litle bit more comfortable to wear. My ears arent that big, so sometimes I am afraid they will fall out. But I think fpr people with average sized ears, they are perfect!
I would definetly recommed them for everyone who is looking for earphones with an amazing quality of sound, a super long lasting battery and easy to use :-)

Not Bad Ear Buds could makes some improvements
I bought these to try out to see if I like the Ear buds and so far they are good but stand to have some improvements. Improvement number 1 JBL could include a USB charge wall wart with this product. 2) The unit disconnect after a certain amount of time which I JBL could either do away with or let people use their app to control that feature. 3) Mic quality could be improve as well.

I had the chance to test these great In-Ears for about 3 weeks now and I'm really impressed with the quality and features.
The processing is great.
The charging box with USB-C connection is valuable and you have no contact problems when charging as with some other headphones of this type.
The balanced frequency spectrum is convincing, especially when making calls and listening to music. At least in my ears and in those of my wife, the Tune 225TWS hold up very well and you can also wear them for a walk or light jog - but it's not enough for more here, and that wasn't the claim either.
I am also enthusiastic about the connectivity and the simple control as well as the possibility of only using one handset, which is awesome when making calls.
All in all a terrific product with a top price-performance ratio!

I bought these earphones about 5 months ago. After avout 3 weeks, the silicone started to peel off, and staying attached this makes wearing them for longer than an hour quite painful, especially when pressing the buttons on the earphones.
The charging ports are burried in deep thin holes. These holes get filled with dust and dirt which prevents them from charging. It isnt TOO difficult to remove the dust, but it shouldnt be necessary.
Thw sound quality and battery life are quite good for the size and price. However due to the design and build quality i can not reccommend them.

Good in-ear headphones in the mid-price segment
The in-ears are delivered in a high-quality case that is used for storage and multiple charging at the same time.
The total battery time is specified as up to 25 hours, the actual running time up to 5 hours. In my opinion this could be improved.
It's not really long.
The headphones sit comfortably in the ear because they do not sit tight in the ear and are very light.
Even for several hours there were no problems with me.
I think it's great to connect the Tune225 to my Android smartphone. They connect automatically via Bluetooth. Furthermore, they can be used as mono (i.e. only one) or as stereo. Left or right does not matter. Both in-ears are equipped with a microphone.
Telephone calls can be accepted on the in-ear. It is a pity that the volume cannot be controlled directly via the headphones. That would be very desirable.
As usual with JBL, the sound of the Tune225TWS is full and clear. Telephoning over the headphones is also easy and clear.
A good pair of headphones in the middle price segment where you can't go wrong.
I give 4 stars

Bricked from day 1
I bought a pair of Tune 225TWS headphones recently and was able to pair it up with my Apple products fairly easily. This has been the only reason I have kept the headphones, as anytime I use this with a non-Apple product it requires me to enter a PIN number that can only be obtained from the JBL app. Since the headphones are not featured on the app, and no PIN number works to allow it to connect with other products, I have no way of connecting these headphones to all but 1 of my devices.
I was hoping this would be a good replacement brand for my Skulltooth wireless headphones, but I'm disappointed with how my device has been bricked in order to promote a company app.

Nice product but it didn't fit my ears.
First impression:
Wow! These look like Airpods! Yup, I said it. Airpods. I really think that
JBL could have done something unique and fun but chose to go after the Airpods crowd instead. Do they sound better than Airpods? The JBL is slightly better in the sense that they have a bit more bass but overall, but about the same sound quality.
In the Box:
Inside the box you get the headphone ear pieces (2) "pods", a pod docking/charging case, and a micro USB cable. The charging dock is a nice square piece with rounded edges that fit nicely in your pocket. I would have loved to see JBL use their trademark orange to make the items stand out a bit and facilitate finding them.
Construction:
The JBLs have a nice look and feel to them. While the shape is totally Airpod, there seems to be some texture to the plastics that make them feel softer. Its not rubberized but it gives the overall impression as such. The case is sturdy and provides up to 20hrs of listening time while the "pods" themselves provide about 5hrs on each full charge for about 25hrs of total playback.
Fit:
This is where the JBL has fallen short. I could not get a good fit from the right ear. I found that the pods just could not sit properly in my ear and always felt loose. This is due to the structure of my ears and not a fault of the product. I had 2 friends try them without much of a fuss. These just did not work for me from that perspective. Interestingly, when I use the Right in the left ear and the left in the right ear, I was able to get a good seal but then it made the controls more difficult to use. I really wish these would fit my ears. With some rubber surrounds, they may have worked.
Use:
Using the JBL Tune 225 is really simple. Just open the case, pull them out, pair them with device, wear them and play music. It really is that simple. After they are paired once, there is an automatic start up upon removal from the case.
The controls are on the pods themselves and are pretty intuitive and simple to use. Much easier than previous models of JBL earbuds. The JBL Tune 225 has one button on each bud, the left for skipping tracks, and the right being for play/pause and picking up calls. The right also will access SIRI, Google Assistant, or Bixby by double clicking the right button. These buttons are relatively responsive but the double clicks were a bit difficult to perform since the pods sit in your ears and aren't secured by anything like maybe a rubber seal to your ears.
Bluetooth
The JBL Tune 225 features Bluetooth 5.0. This makes for excellent range and bandwidth with very little dropout. I was able to clean my home with no dropouts while my phone was sitting on the charger.
Sound:
The soundstage is a bit narrow compared to other JBL products I have used. Spatial imaging does the best job it possibly can given the size of the pods. Left and right buds do their best to try to simulate some sort of stereo/wideness field and works pretty well in its favor.
The lows seem to be adequately controlled and do a really nice job of making the sound seem full. The bass is not a thundering bass as one would get from a massive subwoofer but works really well for buds this small.
The mids seem to be the weakest of the three (low, mid, high). There seems to be a loss of instrumentation on most tracks. The highs and lows seem to drown out the mids, at least until a female vocal is played in the music. Then it seems like the vocals are able to rise from the ashes of the music. Pinks voice really sounds great on these pods.
The highs are present but seem to lack sparkle or pizazz if you will. This is not necessarily a bad thing. It just means that you are able to listen comfortably for longer as the sound is not harsh by any means.
Overall, I think if the mid instrumentation would come more forward and the highs would sparkle just a bit, the sound would be more pleasing. I am being very nit picky here though. They really do sound good. IMO, they are better than Airpods.
Final Verdict:
Full disclosure, these were provided to me to test and review. Would I buy them? I would not because I cannot get a proper fit or seal for proper sound. I think they will work for most ears but my ear canals are too large and too far inset to accommodate the pod stems. I think that if there were rubber surrounds to lock them in place and seal the canal they would work for me.
If you are looking at Airpod type headphones and don't want to spend the outrageous money for them, the JBL TUNE225s are a great way to go. You get better sound, equally as nice form factor, access to the same features for a fraction of the cost.
If they fit for you, JBL TUNE 225 will not disappoint.

Terrible Product
lol I bought these less than 2 months ago, and over the last couple of weeks the left I have run into this issue where the earbud doesn't even turn on let alone connect. I am certain that it is broken, as the lights don't turn on or anything - So now I am basically stuck with only one earbud that works which in the end feels worse than having no earbuds at all.

ok earbuds
when I got them, they were amazing, until one day when I was using the left earbud button command, it wouldn't work. same with my phone, except the commands didn't work at all, left and right. and it would open the way too easily. also people don't really make cases for the earbuds, so I cant really protect them if I drop them. but the paring process is amazing and quick instead of having to hold a panful button for a minute. so thats what carred it from a 3 to a 4-star review.

Great earbuds!
I got this for Christmas and I LOVE the sound of them. I had a Samsung phone and an iPhone and noticed they have better sound and more bass on iPhone without any equalizing. The battery lasts for a long time and the case supports fast charging. The only issues I have found are the plastic ends can get uncomfortable after awhile but you get used to it. The next problem will not apply to most people. If you get a custom picture on it it WILL peel off if you put it in your pocket or something. They do not paint over the JBL logo either if you mind seeing it in your photo. I had mine start peeling off and I contacted JBL today and gave them order details. They sent me a new black case for no charge. The customer service is great but a little slow. I definitely know that I will be buying from JBL in the future and recommending this company and product to friends and family. Thank you JBL for another wonderful product.

Not So Pure Bass
It’s quiet surprising how the description does not match with the quality. I expected JBL’s Pure Bass, rather they are not quiet good at Bass. The quality is OK but not so great. Overall they are an average quality earphones.

Pleasantly surprised
These 225tws were better than expected. The fit of these is excellent! They fit and hold in my ears better than the other "White" brand of earpods. The Sound was good but not as Bass filled as I was hoping for. The Mids and Highs were clear and crisp. If I was just listening to a podcast they were great. Average listening time from a full charge is about 5 hours. Calls with these buds were good and the people on the other end stated that I could be heard well with little to no back ground noise. The case is a good size but with larger digits it was a bit challenging retrieving the earbuds from the case.
Over all these earbud sound good but are not as bass filled as I wish they were. The fit is great and the hold in my narrow ear spaces was the best yet.

these are the worst earbuds I've ever used. when I try and connect them through Bluetooth, I always have to repair them to my device which is really annoying when I want to use them. wearing these are really annoying and painful after a short time of using these and the hard plastic around started to come off and makes these even worse to wear. these are the worst earbuds I've ever used, and I would never buy another pair of these

Good fit for my ear
One of the few styles of wireless earbuds that actually fit in my ear. Good deal for the early Black Friday discount! Great sound. They came fully charged, which I appreciated. Buttons on the sides are a tad stiff (to be expected with something brand new), but that is my only qualm. Good product and good brand.

Light-weight, comfortable, great sound
I got these earphones to listen to the radio and spotify whilst at work in the office, as I'd got fed up of dragging earphone cables across my desk whilst working. They were easy to setup with my phone and I was up and running within 30 seconds. They're lightweight and very comfortable over long periods of time (I usually spend most of the day with earphones in - easily 6 or 7 hours) and I love the fact that you can listen with just one earphone in without losing any sound quality (especially useful with older 'mono' tracks). I usually only use one earphone at a time as I like to part of the conversations in the office, but whilst I'm using one, the other one is on charge in the case. The charge in each one lasts a good 5 hours, meaning I only swap from left to right ear once a day which is great.
The initial sound I thought lacked a bit of bass, but that's just my personal preference and with a bit of tinkering with my phones equaliser, I soon got the sound I liked.
The fit of the earphones is brilliant - no matter how much I move, they dont fall out. I've not tried running with them but certainly whilst walking around, you're not going to have one of these fall out.
The case is lightweight, has a nice matt black finish, is very compact (fits easily into your pocket) and the earphones fit in smoothly with a lovely 'magnetic' click to stop them falling out. It also has lights inside the case to indicate whether they are charging or are fully charged. Charging is done via a USB-type C cable, which happens to be the same as my Huawei Honor phone, and a cable is included in the box, although its not the longest cable at around 20cm.
The sound quality when using these on a phone call is brilliant, even with a small microphone next to your ear. The sound never dropped out once and I was amazed at the quality.
At around £90, they might not be the cheapest bluetooth earphones or have the best sound quality initially, but overall I think they're excellent value for money both in terms of build quality and sound (after a bit of tinkering). A definite recommend!

True wireless in-ears with good sound
When unpacking, you immediately notice that the headphones are nice and compact. At first I charged, it was quick, but unfortunately there is no charging indicator and you cannot see whether the headphones are fully charged. However, the charging cradle is nice and compact and fits well in your pocket. Unfortunately, the headphones do not fit into my ear canal and they do not sit optimally. When inserting it, you can easily reach the control buttons without paying attention.
However, the sound is very pleasant - with subtle bass. In terms of battery life, however, the headphones run out very early, I only managed about 4 hours.

Bluetooth does not Work
I bought these in December of 2020 expecting great quality sound. I fortunately think that the delivered that. But the unfortunate thing was that the little rubber part started peeling off on both ear buds but besides that, the Bluetooth on these things does not work. Every time I try to pair them to my phone it prompts me to forget device then repair. Another thing is that only one ear bud would pair with my phone but the other one is blinking blue and white not wanting to pair anymore. Don’t know how to resolve this issue and it’s infuriating.

Good earbuds but bad build quality
Pretty nice earbuds when I first got them. But when I bought it the right earbuds rubber part that goes in your ear was peeling off. Now they're both almost completely peeled off after a a couple months, and I take care of them. It hurts to have in your ear for long now.
And my right bud won't connect anymore. I know that a common thing to happen, but I tried everything I could find and it doesn't work. The right bud is just dead and doesn't even blink besides when it in the case

Awesome All-Around Earbuds!
These earbuds do a lot with a little. The charging case is compact enough to fit in your pocket without standing out (very comparable to an iPods case).
Sound is very impressive for such a small, and affordable set. I use these between the office, gym, golf course, and even wore them listening to podcasts to fall asleep and they managed to stand up to each task without question.
My biggest issue with earbuds like these has always been how they fit in my ears, but the curvature at the top allows for them to rest easily without having to force them in (like some silicone-tipped earbuds) or have some large contraption to keep them from falling out (i.e. Powerbeats).
Overall, and specifically for the price point, these are truly good quality, all-around earbuds that can perform a number of functions and have a solid battery life to keep the user happy all day.

Disappointing
Worked fine for a week or two, but not great. Didn't connect ever time, and isn't quite loud enought.
Then once I paired my smart watch, these ear buds have been terrible. They often don't connect, and even worse they don't turn off when going back in their case; so when I am on the phone, the audio is constantly being redirected to the headphones in their case, where they should be turned off.

I payed 100 dollars for these ear buds, just for it to be a constant fight to get any sound out of them, full blast I can barely hear them over my parents talking, And the left ear bud especially, not to mention the ear piece, should be interchangeable to fit certain ears as they won’t even stay in mine, jbl used to be my favorite, good quality, I’m sad to say from recent purchases this is no longer true

Left ear bud malfunction
I purchased a pair of the jbl 225 earbuds and within the first month the left bud stopped pairing. I thought it was just a defective pair so I returned and purchased a new pair. Yet again the ear buds did this and now the left side will not charge. I've cleaned the charging terminal and still no success. Other than this issue they are great head phones I'd love to be able to use both buds though.

Modern Technology meets classic fit
JBL Tune 225TWS is best for the people who are craving classic fit ear buds, yet all the modern connectivity & battery life advantages. They differentiate from the in-ear ones, and still provide a good sound quality. They also provide good ambient awareness, due to air/sound passing quality, which feel breathable to your ears, unlike the in-ear ones.

Good sound but some design flaws
I bought these about six months ago now, and I'm overall pleased with the quality of the product for the price point. Charging is quick and lasts a while. However, after just a few months of light use, the tip around the earbud has begun to warp, with no easy way to push it back into place. This has made listening for any longer period extremely uncomfortable, especially while moving around. Overall not very durable and a poor design choice that could have been easily changed, as many other earbuds at this price point have replaceable tips.

Battery Life and Sync
I am an avid JBL person, I own 5 different set of JBL in ear and over the ear headphones. This is the first pair I have really disliked or had issue with. These are 3 days old, yet the battery life is not more than 3-4 hours of continuous use. They are no good for any type of video as they do not sync well enough that they have about a 1-2 second delay from the device. I have tried my iPhone, my iPad and a Macbok Pro, all newer models yet all have the same lag/delay and makes it kind of hard to concentrate on any video. Sound is good as usual, but I would not recommend if you will need them for any period of time or if you plan on watching any video.

They have Potential
I bought this item back in July and they have been good to me.
Start with the good. The sound is great! They’re comfy in your ear and easy to control with the side touch. They have good range from your phone which is nice as well. The charging case lasts quite a long time before it needs to be charged itself which is also nice.
The bad.. The ear buds themselves don’t hold a charge for very long. They last maybe 4 hours of continuous playtime. Whenever I charge them, they don’t fully charge. I don’t know if it’s the way they sit in the case or what. I have to pull them out and put them back in and keep them charging, which is a hassle when you go to use them and they die quickly.
All in all these buds have huge potential in my mind when problems are fixed!

Decent sound but not comfortable for long periods
They look good and the case is awesome and small. The sound is good but not nearly as good as other JBL products that have ear isolation (like the Reflect Flow), which are always awesome and more bass response. I was a little disappointed with the battery life but it is definitely improved from the 220TWS. Unfortunately there is just something about these that is uncomfortable in my ears compared to other JBL headphones. They just feel hard and don't fit right - this is of course an individual thing.

4.5 Great Sound and excellent call quality
These earbuds are very good, almost great, but a few minor details knock them down about a half a star. I had to go with 4 since the system doesn't allow for half stars. The sound quality for phone calls is excellent. They easily paired with my phone and computer. Nobody knew I was using earbuds until I told them and everyone remarked how good they sounded on their end. You can use either earbud for calls if you prefer to use only one. Music sounds great. The mids and highs are clear and the surprising amount of bass for their size is more than enough for me. With my phone driving them, they can get louder than I'd ever need. They are comfortable enough for several hours of use, but about the time the battery is getting low (has an audible low battery sound) my ears need a break. I've gotten about four hours per charge while listening to music at a reasonably high volume. I think they would go at least another 30 minutes or so after the low battery warning, but I haven't pushed it. A fully charged case will recharge them at least three more times, maybe four but I haven't tried yet as I'm recharging the case nightly. They look nice too and seem to be well made. My only criticisms are with the charge light being inside the case - so you have to flip the lid to see the level - and the ease of taking the pods out of the case. I have rather large hands and my fingers don't easily fit between the pods to pull one out. I found an easy way around it, but it was frustrating at first. Other than that, super nice all around. I would definitely recommend these.

Great until one quit working
They sound pretty good and are comfortable, but after only a couple hours use, one earbud will no longer charge so it's dead. I barely got any use out of them and giving a poor rating because of the quality.

Go With Apple
I bought these about 4 months ago and now the right ear bud won't work or pair with the left one and they appear to have to sync together to get sound out of both at the same time. They were great at first but I'm using them with an Apple phone and Apple support equipment just work better with Apple products. I've always loved JBL but against my better judgement, this choice was a mistake for sure and I knew there'd be a chance it'd eventually not be reliable. I've looked at all the Youtube videos on how pair together the two ear buds, it worked a few times and now they just won't find each other let alone hold the connection. I've tried doing a factory reset and that didn't help it either, so now I'm stuck with ear buds that don't work together and who goes to the gym with only the left ear bud producing sound anyway? LOL. Other than that, they're great but the for long haul, you may have some problems and they quit working the way they're supposed to be, so buyer beware.

Good but had issues with call
I like these compared to other earbud type of headphones because they stay in my ear better. There is a feeling sometimes that they are about to fall out but they rarely have. My main issue is the 1 time I used them for a phone call, the person on the other end struggled to hear me at points. Overall though I like them. They connect easily and seem to have good battery life.

Great sound but...
...horrible in-ear design and case design. Whoever designed it must have really small ear canals. Always falling out and there's nothing to improve that. Also, it fits really snug in the case but you can pull it out easily to use. Keeps slipping through he fingers back into the magnetic holder. Ironically, if you have it enclosed in the case and drop it from desk height, it will easily open and scatter the earbuds all over which is easier than trying to pull them out with your fingers. Horrible horrible design. I would give it 0 stars if possible and the 1 star would be because the sound quality is somewhat good.

Good times!
I love these pods. They sync very easily. I do not have a cell phone so I use a tablet instead. I use Pandora to listen to music and it sounds so great on these. Yo can hear every sound on the music and even hear a breath when a flute is playing! This is what I do to relax. Just sit back and block everything out and listen to music. Also love the charging case. So compact and convenient! Would recommend to everyone!

Great audio quality, but bad design
I bought my fist pair last October for a Christmas gift. After 5 months the rubber covering was peeling so bad it was cutting my ears. The right earbud began having pairing issues. I received a replacement pair. Now three months later the rubber is again peeling and beginning to cut into my ear. The right earbud is beginning to have charging issues.
The audio quality is great and I love the fit. Just needs a better design so that the rubber doesn't peel up.

Buy Beats
38 days and 2 charges of the charging box. The 3rd time hooking the charging box up. It won't charge. I tried all their stupid tips about cleaning. I read some reviews on Amazon but bought them anyways. After writing this I'm ordering some Beats. Always had luck with JBL. But they need to go back to the drawing board with these from everything I'm reading. Of course customer service never gets back to me or answers either. If you read this and still buy these hope u have better luck than I.

From the first moment of putting them on I knew it was going to be a No for me but I gave them a shot for a week. My ears are too small and the ear pieces would fall out. I would have to stay still or budge them in so they could stay in place. I did like how audio would sound. Over-ear headphones is the next one I'm trying.

Amazing
These headphones are amazing. They fit in your ear nicely without giving you an unpleasant feeling. The battery does last for awhile. I charge the charging case every 3-4 days. The volume for music is great. The only issue I have is the volume for phone calls. You can barely hear the other party to the point that it's easier to use the phone ear piece. Other than that it's a great purchase.

I really adore these buds
I really adore these buds, they are so easy to take anywhere, and I like the look (mat black finish) feel (like they could be an alloy material and do not feel cheap in any way) and the sound is decent as well. I think these are much nicer than similar products available that I have tried. I found I was able to use the right ear bud separately if I need to save some battery life.
I do use these often and they are especially appropriate when I'm just wanting to appreciate some music while not having to deal with a wired earbud. The battery life seems good to me as I never had them die while using, so battery life seems very respectable (rated at 5 hours but I got better results). Due to the design I would recommend be cautions to keep these very clean and the case closed when not in use to prevent contaminates from the charging points as it would be hard to clean from the case’s deep wells. This would probably be an issue with any ear buds that are this style simply due to the design.
I have not been able to use these in the gym due to COVID, but have found these can fall out if I bend over or am not in a vertical position or just multi-tasking, though they stay in going for a walk of jog as long as I don’t bend over so there is a possibility that they could fall out and roll under something. This has happened a few times, but they are so durable that no damage occurred. I would probably not use these on a bike ride or other situations in which these could be dropped and hard to retrieve. In conclusion I really like these, and they are so easy to use and take with anywhere. To reiterate they are so easy to pair, use and take along anywhere. These are my new favorite ear buds, and based on my usage so far I think these will last me a long time.

They stay in place while running! Winning
They stay put while running which was probably the most important thing for me since that is when I use headphones the most. I did notice after wearing them for 3 hours on a plane ride my ears did get a little sore but that was not the same case for my husband when I had him test them out on the return flight. I wish there was a tip for smaller ears.
Talking on the phone is easy and clear the commands are easy to use. We had a little harder time hooking them up with my husbands Bluetooth than with my phone but it ended up connecting after some trial and error.
The sound quality is great and gets plenty loud.
The charging box is perfect. It is compact and has magnetic placement and closure. The battery life is great and lasts a long time.

I have another pair of earbuds (Skullcandy), they kept falling out. I myself have small ear canals and it seems that nothing "fits" properly. My Skullcandy earbuds were constantly falling out. Thankfully that is not an issue with the JBLs. The sound quality is nice and crisp. I had no issue connecting my Iphone, nor do I have issues connecting another device. They stopped charging properly after 1 week.

Absolute waste of money. I just smashed mine off the wall because they are absolutely pointless bits of plastic.

Worked great until the make didn't hold up
I bought these 4 months ago. Instantly, I loved them. Sound quality is great and they fit really nicely (i had trouble with other headphones before). However, 2 things. One, they kept falling out whenever I'd go running, and I understand these aren't ideal for the sport, but it was really frustrating. (Might just be my ears though). The worst thing is what happened just 2 days ago. I put my left headphone in and after a while, my ear starts to get agitated. Well, the rubber thingy around the speaker connecting it to the stick was popping out and scratching against my ear. Yes, I've dropped them quite a few times, but I thought they would be a bit more durable. I do love them so I'll keep them, but slightly upset it wasn't a happily ever after.

The right one stopped working after a month
So I read a ton of reviews before buying these, i should have listened to the negative ones. The right one stopped connecting *randomly* after a month. Like an hour into my workout it just stopped working. And it would take hours of messing with it to make it work for maybe 20 more minutes. The reviews of the uncomfy ear piece are also right- you want the little plastic pieces at the end trust me. You can also hear outside noises even at max volume. Oh, max volume wasn't enough either. The bass was okay but truly nothing special. They truly deserve 2.5 stars. either spend the money or at least get a pair with rubber ear pieces.

Great at first
I’ve had these about a month, and the first few weeks they were great! They didn’t fit my ears as well as AirPods but they held a charge for a couple hours, sounded good, and I liked them! For the last couple of weeks I’ve had increasing issues with charging, where the left earbud doesn’t connect with the charger and consistently dies faster than the right. The charging case says it’s fully charged but after more than 12 hours in the case, I tried to use them and both earbuds immediately made the “low charge” noise. I’m hoping I can fix it so I can keep using them!

Overall, I really like the JBL Tune 225TWS! but...
...there are a just couple things that could be better.
First off, fit is always very personal, everyone’s ears are different, but these fit great for me. I had no soreness, they stayed in well, but for my boyfriend, they made his ear sore quickly.
I use these for casual listening, like for background music or books/podcasts. The sound is pretty decent for an open air earbud, not super high-fidelity. There’s not much bass, but I wouldn’t have expected that from these earbuds before I used them either. If there isn’t much background noise, I am able to listen with the volume turned down very low, but even when going on a run down the streets of a busy city, I never had to turn the volume extra loud to hear what I was listening to. My boyfriend found it too quiet, but he’s one to listen to things really loud (in my opinion).
Phone calls are great, but only when using both earbuds. I usually only have one in and that made it much more difficult for the other person to hear me, but I could still hear them well.
I gotta say, these are extremely easy to use. They immediately connected to my phone, connect easily to each other. I also like the fact that the buttons are very soft press, so not as easy to accidentally press as a touch control, but you don’t need to shove the bud in your ear to press it like others I’ve used.
These look really premium, the earbuds and the case both. The earbuds look sleek in and out of your ear. The matte finish of the case gives off a classy silicone feel, but it’s just matte plastic, which was a little disappointing.

I really love these...but
I bought these on a whim, but have been incredibly impressed. There were a couple of ticks I gradually got used to and the sound quality is fantastic. However, after only a couple of months, the rubber piece that covers the outside of the headphone, resting inside of your year has started to separate from the plastic. It doesn't look like this is an easy fix and worst luck it's happening to both resulting in them hurting my ears after prolonged use.

Wife bought these for a bday gift at end of April. Lasted 4 months and left earbud won’t turn on, charge, pair, etc. Battery life is terrible. Can’t even do a few conference calls without having constant recharges. Sound is average. Definitely nothing to brag about. Noticed a lot of dead spots when talking on the phone. Earbuds would just cut out for 3-4 seconds so you’re always asking someone to repeat themselves.

Excellent sound
I just got these but I like them a lot. I own a pair of Everest Elite 150NC and those have a more reverberating bass, but these have very good bass and they are more comfortable to wear and easier to use. What I like about these is the shape: they fit my ears well and require no pressure as the ones with silicone ear tips do. I love to hate Apple products but I must admit, the iPods shape (which these earbuds mimic is the best for me. The case is a little difficult to open and it's a bit difficult to get them out, but it works.

Not worth the money
I bought these about 10 days ago. The sound is ok.The battery lasts maybe 3 hours. The left side lasts about a half hour less. The charging case is only good for maybe 2 charges. Not what the website says which is 5 hours for the headphones and 25 with the case.. its more like 2 hours for the headphones and an extra 5 hours with the charging case. Simply not worth the money. You can buy generic versions for less than half the price for the same results.

I have always been a fan of jbl but this product is making me reevaluate everything. The ear buds have major connection issues. They worked for all about one hour. Now, I can not get the right ear bud to sync with the left. I have tried to trouble shoot the problem and it still doesn't work. The best advice I can give for everyone is to find a different product. I am extremely disappointed in JBL for putting this product on the market.

Great earbuds!
I got this for Christmas with a custom case from my grandpa! It is a wonderful set of earbuds and enough bass without an equalizer on my iPhone! It does not do much for bass on a Samsung but that’s fine with me. One day the personalized case of my pets started peeling off so I contacted support and they sent me a case with the color of my choice (black) and told me to keep the one with my pet. 5 star customer service! The only issues I had were the paint peeling, the fact that the button is hard to press and that they get uncomfortable after wearing. You get used to the earbud shape in not too long and I think that the buttons will wear in. Overall 5 stars! Thank you JBL for making another great product!

Great if you don't have a left ear!
I bought these about a month ago and they worked great - for the first day. Since then, the left earbud refuses to connect. I've spent hours looking for fixes on you tube and google. Some of them weorked at first, but now the left bud is just living in its own world. JBL offered to exchange them ,but after going to google rabbit hole, I don't think it's even worth the effort to return them.

Usable, nothing outstanding.
These buds are nice looking and compact however they take some time to get used to and not very comfortable. I feel like they are always going to fall out. Also, these are not very loud. When talking on the phone to people, I have to constantly ask them to repeat themselves. There is not as much bass as I would have expected. I have other JBL headphones and these don't hold a torch to them. I do like how you can use either bud by itself or combined. They also seem to hold a good charge.
I would hope the next series would allow you to adjust the volume on the buds themselves, different ear size options and way more bass.

Best Apple Earpod Alternative!
I've went through several earbud brands over the past two years and the JBL TUNE225's were my last ditech effort before caving in and getting the Apple Earpods. To my surprise the JBL TUNE225's met my requirements in ALL areas! I went ahead and purchased a backup pair. Some improvements I'd like to see with future models are higher volume during calls and 3-mic technology so people can hear you better when on a voice call in noisy places.

Better Than Apple Airpods!! JBL Tune Better Choice
So i got these about a week ago. So lets take at the pros and cons. Either way its an excellent pair of bluetooth headphones that are more affordability and compatibility vs apple airpods.
Pros
×× Easy Set Up (Manual makes it so easy so when you open your package look for it)
×× Battery To The Max I used it for about 6 hours the other day with about an hour of talk time 2 to three hours of music and the rest standby time did not see the battery go down even half. The carrying charging case makes it awesome for your battery to never die.
Xx No issues with sound at all call quality and sound was clear and I and the caller on the other end had no issues with clarity.
×× Excellent Connectivity Range Had forgot my phone in second floor of my home was on patio and surprisingly was still connected so dont worry about having your phone directly by you this is useful for any athletes or active customers
×× They don't fall out so def take them with you anywhere the gym on a bike ride walk or the store!!
Cons:
Not many but they are more that can be used to improved on next model
×× Fit could be modified. While the pods are universal fit I do wish they were like the JBL UnderArmour Buds that has a silicone ear tips in which you can go thru different sizes to give you the best fit. Mine fit excellent put pictures so def compare to make sure it fits yours.
×× Fit takes getting use to and the plastic of the tips after having them a long period of time can cause discomfort and can be a little uncomfortable in the ear so make sure you give your ears a break on these ones.
Longer Charging Cable would be helpful
But so far the pros outweigh the cons by a large margin on the JBL 225 I still highly recommend them over Apple Earpods or aftermarket pods. You will not be dissapointed. But I hope you like my review I wanted to make it as honest and open as possible. I hope this helps you in choosing JBL.

Lovely pods
I absolutely love these, I have searched and tried a few before I settled for these. They look fantastic and sound fantastic.
I can honestly say that these pods are absolutely crisp and deliver what I can only describe as a beautiful sound, the clarity is gorgeous. Select the correct tips and get the fit right and they suddenly come alive.I use them in gym and on the train to work or when taking a long walk in the woods. Am not an audio head but they do deliver what am looking for . Only down fall is that the JBL app doesnot support them. Definitely recommended

Good general purpose earbuds
These wireless earbuds are good for general use. The sound is clear for listening to audiobooks, podcasts and music and for conducting phone conversations. Maybe they could use more bass, but they are "good enough" to listen to and enjoy your music. I like that they connect automatically very quickly to each other and to your phone. I have another set made by another brand that takes a while to connect to my phone and then randomly connects to the phone even when in the charging case. These connect quickly and the connection to your phone ends when you place them in the charging case.
I took off a point for comfort and staying in place. They sort of have a tendency to hurt after a while. They just sit in your ears without anything to really hold them in place, so I do not recommend these for sports activities or working out. They feel like they will fall out if you move too much. They are for sitting and listening and talking on the phone and very light activity/movement, IMO. I wanted to take a point off because they do not have noise cancellation, but in fairness, they don't advertise them as noise cancelling, so no surprise there.
Overall, I'd recommend them for folks who aren't trying to use their earbuds while doing physical activities.

Terrible Headphones
I bought these headphones from amazon a little over a month ago. The plastic around the ear pieces is starting to become delaminated and one of the headphones won't connect to anything. This is terrible for a little over a month of use, very disappointed and i would like a refund.

Seriously? No soft ear tips?!?!
Looked for an addition to my Jabra earbuds as I was hoping for a bit better battery life and the idea of using either bud independently (either Left or right in solo mode made me very interested. Just received these today; opened them eagerly and put them in my ears. Ok, first off; I wear Medium tips in any earbuds and consider myself a normal sized ear canal. But these? Made of hard plastic and literally just fall out of my ears! I did online chat with JBL (hoping the tips were missing) support and I was told there is no custom fit option. How is hard plastic supposed to stay in place, especially if your active? Strike JBL from my list of companies I will purchase from.

Perfect for what was needed
I was sceptical at first about airbuds but these have removed that scepticism! Easy to connect on Bluetooth when taken out of package. From the get go they fit really comfortably in my ears, then the sound and noise cancelling is second to none they literally are amazing. I couldn't recommend them more it feels like you have the music playing around you as you can't feel them in your ears.

My wife can't hear me !
I was gifted these from my company, as a Christmas present, thank goodness I did not buy them ! When my wife calls I have to disconnect the Bluetooth pairing on my phone so she and I can have a conversation, she says it sounds horrible ! For $99.00 one would think these should sound Outstanding, but no, terrible in ear retention if you speak to some one or just chew gum you will constantly be re-adjusting these things, why not add a accessory for a silicone "hooks" or something to hold them in place....I also asked a question here about sound codec and had a hilarious answer, I am positive the question was answer by one of JBL's highly qualified Sound Engineers ! Quote "Our JBL Tune 225TWS is designed for listening music and it doesn't support APTX, APTX HD and LDAC." Really ???
My $20.00 Anderson Spirits sound better have in ear retention, my wife can actually hear me, and support APTX ! NO BUENO !

Very Poor Design and Not Recommended.
I purchased the Tune 225TWS. The Pros: They have great sound and long battery life. The Cons: #1 If you don't charge them on a regular basis the batteries will go dead. I always seem to find this out when I'm getting ready to board a flight and the batteries are completely dead. This has been a problem since new so I know it's not battery itself and simply a design flaw. #2 I guess I have larger than normal ear canals and these headphones will not stay in place nor will they seat deep enough to give you the rich/full bass sound. They don't come with any ear tips and always fall out and that's just from sitting, you don't dare do any physical activities since they will drop out of your ear every time! Based on my experience I would not recommend this product.

Okay headphones wouldn’t recommend.
I don’t know what happened to JBL that they thought this was a good product to put out with their name on! The headphones are okay and weirdly enough after 2 months of nearly daily use all of a sudden the headphones lost pairing to the only device it was ever connected to then just as that happened the right headphone just stopped working I also can’t believe there is no app to help you manage them! I own many JBL speakers and these headphones are a huge let-me-down!! The headphones also never really felt good in the ears; first I’ve ever experienced that with.

Amazing bass and connection quality!
I'm using this JBL Tune 225 TWS headphones in continuous for about few weeks now and using them regularly for different purposes. During the day for working in the home office and in the evening while jogging. The design is kept in the rough matt black! A matter of taste, of course, but it still looks very high quality and doesn't leave any fingerprints. The small charging etui opens easily and has a 3-point LED display inside. Only the inside of the shell is painted. But don't bother me. Exactly right and enhances the overall picture again. The Tune 225 TWS In-Ear headphones are magnetically sucked in when they are pushed into the charging case. I like that feeling! The plus point is the USB Type-C input in the charging case and the short supplied USB Type-C charging cable in orange. The usability is simple, but takes some getting used to, since I've been using over-ear headphones for a long time, I often don't hit the button. It works much better now. The headphones are great in the home office area! Very good at suppressing the minimal noises at home. I can fully concentrate me on my work. The JBL "225ers" have managed video conferences without a single failure so far! The connection to the Mac is stable via Bluetooth! Amazing! When jogging, I also connect the JBLs to my Android smartphone via Bluetooth. I haven't had any dropouts so far! Everything is stable here too! Sound quality surprised me. Really cool for the price range! In my opinion, highs and lows are reproduced well, with minimal loss of quality. If, for example, guitars or piano are playing in the background, you will notice it. But only if you compare it with Noice Cancelling over-ear headphones that are 5 times more expensive. So, "who cares"!? Instead, the bass is juicy. It's sad that the NC is not in the foreground of the headphones. Would be really outstanding then! But it also has its advantages when jogging in the big city! You can hear the cars driving behind you in the background and the bus approaching the intersection from the street side. Definitely a plus! Very comfortable to wear in combination with a protective mask in the daily using! The battery life is, as promised, great aswell!
Finally, two things that I'm missing a bit .My left ear appears to be a little smaller than my right one. The JBL Tune 225 TWS In-Ear headphones do not have replaceable plugs. I had to readjust the headphones a few times while jogging. After about 100km of jogging, I can still say that the JBLs are also very suitable for jogging. Despite the additional fixation by a Beenie. The second thing I would have liked is an app. Original JBL app for headphones does not support this model. Or I just didn't find it. Anyway, better for my smartphone batterie! So far, I am really satisfied all round and would recommend it to anyone for whom the quality, both technically and visually, is important. For the price you can't go wrong 100%! Top! And I am aware that the minus points mentioned relate more to use the "225ers" when jogging and that the headphones are more intended for street wear and style and not for sport.
Therefore again, a clear recommendation! Cheers!

Good fit, good sound but some issues
Had these a couple of weeks and I like them but they could be improved.
Design is great. They stay in my ears even when I clean and move around. This was my main concern when buying buds. I'm clumsy and loose things easily. So far so good on that front!
The case is lovely and charges quick.
Like the simple lights and design of it all.
Sound is good but no noise cancelling which is a shame.
I found the Bluetooth a bit hit and miss. Sometimes a decent range and sometimes disconnecting or poor audio when very near.
Walking outside on a call the wind completely took over. I couldn't be heard or hear the caller.
I had issues first pairing the buds together it took several attempts and I had issues pairing with laptops again had to youtubd and repeat several times.
I found the instructions lacking to say the least. I dont expect to have to watch videos to set things up from the box.
Battery wise I think alright lasted around 3-4 hrs on zoom calls. First buds I've had so nothing to compare.

Great sound
These AirPods are so easy to use. The Bluetooth found it instantly.
I was so lucky to test these through Rewievclub. I have testet these for 2 weeks.
I absolutely love the little box the airpods came in. And the best part - you always know where they are.
The sound in these pods are great. I have mostely used it for music and sound books. I have used them while I have exerciced, cleaning, walking and relaxing. And they are great for everything. The batteri last for around 6 hours which is great.
The only thing I wish they had was a silicone ear tips, so you may find the perfect size for you. It would also be great if the cabel was a bit longer.
But overtall these airpods are great. The sound is clear and they are so easy to use

Good sound, but connection problems
I received my 225TWS yesterday and read the instructions. When it connects, the sound is good quality, and the earbuds don't fall out of my ears. The earbuds connect fine to iOS devices, but will not connect to Windows devices. I bought these specifically to connect to my Peloton bike, which is an Android device, but it won't connect, and asks for a pin. I have tried 1111, 0000, and 1234 but none of these work. The same goes for my Windows computers. Very disappointing. I don't have this problem with other devices: Bose Sound Sport and Sennheiser.

Good headphones overall but don't fit very well.
Overall the headphones are good but the ear piece is too small for me so I don't get the full effect. I have to push them right in the make a seal and hear the full performance. They would benefit from a selection of different sized adjustable heads. The sound quality is good with sufficient bass, but not too much and they don't distort at high volumes. The battery life is fine, they charge fast and the charging case is really handy. They also look great. Id say the price is a bit high though and you can get similar quality for around the £50-£60 mark.

Great sound, COMPLETELY Meh fit
Just purchased these a few days ago to "upgrade" over a wired set of earbuds. I'm going back to my wired pair- these, NO MATTER the "one size fits all" do not fit well and are constantly falling out. Hey JBL- you DO realize that people's ears, just like fingerprints, vary greatly, right? You don't even include any sort of rubber sleeve or, any other means of actually fitting these to the individual user. The ONLY reason I gave two stars, is, when I'm not fiddling with them, to keep them in place, they actually sound really decent. Sooooooo... If you happen to have a set of ears that looks EXACTLY like the ones depicted in the Owner's Manual, then these are a 5 star product! In fact, I'm not even going to bother registering them, as they're not going to be used, except when my wired pair (that actually HAS different size rubber sleeves to individualize fit) stops working.

Good but not great!
I placed the order for JBL Tune tws225 on 2nd of October 2020, but didn't receive my item till mid October, although the delivery was suppose to be in 2-4 business days.
I had to call customer service to chase it up and found out that the product was actually out of stock, they should have a system of contacting customers about the availability of the product.
After trying the product for a while I wasn't amazingly impressed by the result first of all there is no bass, I guess for the size of the item can't expect much anyway but in this case its false advertisement "feel the bass". I also found them to be very bulky and doesn't really provide a good fit to my ears. I tried my cousin's air pods and found them to have slightly higher volume than JBL tws225 and it provided a great fit to my ears also I found the touch controls very useful as compared to the button on JBL tws225.
Overall they are ok but I wouldn't say they are absolutely amazing!

Decent all around.
I think these are great not perfect but very solid. Battery life is around 4-5 hours. I use these for work so I only have one in at a time (my favorite feature about these so when the battery gets low I just pop it in the charging case and use the other. Sound quality is decent. I see some reviews complaing about lack of bass ( but these aren't subwoofers) I just messed with the equalizer on my phone and it helped alot. The only thing I can really complain about is that these dont come with anything to secure them in your ear. I'm constantly moving at work and I was afraid I might lose one so I used a piece from my old headphones as you can see in the pictures.

Cuts your ears, rubber bits fall off ??
I lost my good ear buds and replaced them with these. Huge mistake! The little rubber bits on the ear part started separating from the ear bud maybe a week into having these. When they started to separate they started leaving little cuts and sores inside my ear :) fast forward to now (had them about a year almost) and the rubber bits are completely detached! I have to stick em on to use them and then when I take the earbuds out I have to fish out the rubber bit from the inside of my ear. One of these days I’m afraid I won’t be able to fish them out and the rubber will get stuck. Anyways if you’re looking for an expensive product that will cut and scrape you and fall apart inside of your body then this is the product of your nightmares ??

Overall, they are really good and for their price I personally believe that there is no better earbud than these. The only small con is that they may be slightly uncomfortable for the first few days.

Manufacturing/design issue
I bought these about two months ago from Target. My right ear started to get really sore after about two weeks of use and I realized that silicone part that goes into my eat has started to detach from the plastic piece. Its rubbed my ear raw so much so that I don't think I'll be able to use them anymore. I tried to look online for a cover for them, but didn't find one made by JBL and wasn't sure of fit if I got a different brand so didn't want to spend any more money. For what its worth, I really like the sound and the battery lasts as long as I need it.

Solid performers, great fit!
Solid performers, great fit! My wife is very fickle with any type of in-ears. She generally has to wear over the ear headphones for fit and comfort; until now, that is!
Battery life and fit are the two stand out features of this set. The ability to split and share the phones is cool, but we just haven't found the use (yet. We are very happy with them. The audio response is full and even. Too many manufacturers tool the frequency response too much to appeal to pop music, but these are clear and articulate, and provide a good listening experience. The only gripe is that the construction seems like it could be more solid. That being said, they are lightweight and ergonomic, which probably tilts more towards performance than construction. Very solid earbuds; great for work, zoom meetings, commuting, casual listening. They stay fit in the ear well, but I would question how well they may stay during a strenuous run or workout. 9/10 would recommend!

Incredible in everything but one tiny aspect
I bought these earbuds during a Black Friday deal online, and I’ve always trusted JBL because I have a Bluetooth speaker from them and it’s of great quality. Anyways, I received the earbuds and they look really good, the battery life is great, they feel comfortable in your ear, pretty much everything you could ask from a Bluetooth set. There is only one gripe, and although it’s minor I’d say a lot of people would maybe agree with me. Whenever you have both earbuds put in and you want to skip a song it’s fine, you have to double click a specific earbud, I think it’s left. But whenever you’re using one earbud for whatever reason you’re out of luck. Anytime you’ll double tap the button like normally all it does is bring up Siri. I feel that to be annoying more then anything because people want to skip through songs more often than talk to their virtual assistant. That’s it, love the JBLs in the end.

Pocket earphones
The quality of the sound is great as I would expect from this brand but I personally missing the deep bass in tunes. Also the ear tips should be made from silicone to give extra comfort and noise cancelling. The buttons on the sides working as they should but I would prefer touch buttons as pressing the buttons hurts my ears. Not very comfortable for me for wearing/using them long time (HRS) listening. Connecting the earphones to my phone was very easy and the Bluetooth connection is solid, not breaking up. The case is the good thing to have as it gives you extra charge for the earphones and it has USB-C charging port what is excellent as I have an android phone so I can use the charging lead for both equipment to charge them up. It is perfect size to me to hold or put in pocket, the buds fit tightly and snuggly in the case and the LED lights inside are clearly visible. However I think the LED lights should be located on the outer side of the charging case so it will be more practical and no need to open it every time you want to check your battery case charging level. I have other earphones and personally I prefer the LED light on the outer side instead of the inside but maybe that is how JBL try to be unique and not to go with the flow. The case does give couple charges, so it should be enough for average user but my phone usage is quite high therefore I have to charge the case more often. In overall I would give the 3 stars rating with above things to improve.

good basic ear buds
I have the JBL TUNE 120TWS and now these. I had lots of issues with the 120tws staying in my ear or being comfortable. These however are much much more comfortable to wear. I had them in for about two hours watching TV shows and listening to music. I had totally forgot they where in my ears as that is how comfortable they felt. They sit in your ear without applying to much pressure, unlike the 120TWS. I did not try working out in them but walking around I did not feel like they would fall out.
Here is the big difference for me the 120TWS (once fitted in my ear correctly) sounded better than the Tune 225TWS. But the sound trade off for a more comfortable experience is well worth the trade off.
Pairing the headphones to my computer, table, and phone was very simple and easy to do. The sound is pretty good, bass could be a little deeper, but overall for hours of listening they are comfy and sound good.
The charging case is the perfect size to fit in your pocket, other wireless headphones have bulky cases that make it really uncomfortable to carry in your pocket. They seem to charge up pretty fast and the case uses a USB C which is perfect as all my other devices use the same cable.
I would really recommend these if your looking for headphones that are comfy and sound good. These will now become my new go to headphones due to the carrying case, comfort, and good sound.

Faulty - Constantly troubleshooting
I've spent more time troubleshooting than actually listening to these. The sound is great, but they both rarely work. The left earbud either won't power up, or won't pair with the right ear bud (which is the primary/master). There are tons of complaints on the internet for this reason. I would avoid this product.

Doesn't Work
I bought these headphones about a month ago and they have been nothing but a problem since I got them. Every time I exercise about 20 minutes in one ear but always stops working entirely. Once in a while one ear bud doesn't work at all, it changes from time to time which one it is. Lastly the charge doesn't last nearly as close to what it advertises, I get an hour and a half tops after a full charge. I feel totally ripped off, DO NOT BUY these!

They fall out of my ears every time I turn my head
I was just looking at the headphones I’d recently purchased to see id there were different sizes, I am very unimpressed. The sound is not very good and then headphones refuse to stay in my ears. They’re ok driving but any time I use them at work or working out they fall out every time I turn my head. I don’t usually trash products but it’s extremely frustrating trying to lift weights and have to chase headphones that are falling out. One pro is the first day I had them the right bud fell out of my ear into a bucket of paint and I managed to clean the ear bud and it never quit working.

Wanted these to be "The Ones"
I purchased a pair of these for my daughter and liked them so much that I bought a pair for myself. They worked great until one day the left ear bud powered out before the right one. It seemed odd since they were charging at the same time. I figured it just needed recharging so I placed both earbuds back in the case to re-charge for a while. Afterwards, the right was the only earbud that was charged. I tried 'resetting", re-pairing, cleaning the three contacts in the charging case and searched a number of troubleshooting videos related to the JBL 225TWS model. No success. The light on the earbud wouldn't even appear. I noticed that only when I press down on the earbud, it the light would go on - but only by pressing down on it. I believe it has something to do with the contacts in the case or in the earbuds themselves. Either way, they worked fine for the first month. I didn't want to regret this purchase but now I'm wondering if I should have coughed up the extra cash for something different.

Great Value for Money
I have used numerous wireless headphones in the past but these have by far been the best. The sound quality is warm & clear and the build of the ear buds are durable & comfortable, meaning i have been able to wear these in bed. They stay in your ears well when being used whilst running which i found much better than other products on the market. The value for money is second to none and really is a strong rival to some of the higher priced brands.

Better Quality Than I Expected
They're a great product. Less expensive than apple's air pods. They make satisfying confirmation noises when turned on, then another when they're connected. They have incredible battery life. Got them in the mail a week ago and I've used them every day since, still haven't needed to charge the case. The ONLY issue I have with this product is when I lay on my back using them, they slowly fall from my ears. I don't know if that's fixable via the weight or the shape, but if somehow the company was able to redesign the product to stay in the ears when lying back it would be the PERFECT mobile pair of earbuds.

I bought these from Amazon last month and the sound is ALWAYS choppy when I connect to my laptop. They sound better connected to my phone, but at times the music will skip as if it was a cd payer. When that happens I disconnect them to make sure it was not the phone and it plays without interruption.

A Good Set of Headphones With Some Minor Issues
The JBL Tune 225TWS are well sounding basic wireless headphones. They're light weight appear to have a good build quality and have a well-designed storage and charging case. Sound quality is clear and crisp and makes listening to music very enjoyable. They provide about 4 hours of continuous play. Bluetooth connectivity works very well with portable devices but tends to be a little cranky with my windows laptop. I’m thinking that this is a problem with my laptop and not the headphones.
On the downside, they don't have any on-board volume controls and don’t seem to have any noise reduction capability. Their latency is also quite high on PC and mobile devices, which could be annoying if you plan on watching videos while wearing these earbuds. One other issue that I personally have with these headphones is they tend to not stay in place, even when sitting. I solved this problem by finding a pair of rubber tips that fit these earbuds and this has vastly improved the stability problem for me. However, I must remove the rubber tips in order to charge the headphones, which is a real hassle. Perhaps these could be provided in future models.
In summary they are a great looking good sounding pair of headphones that have excellent build quality and very good battery life. They are a good value and I really enjoy using them for phone calls and listening to music.

Nearly there, a hit except for weak bass
Pros:
Very light, barely knew I was wearing them
Didn’t fall out (even of my big ears)
Charging case is perfect and gives plenty of recharge time (lasted me a few of days before needing a power adapter)
They lasted nearly 5 hours before needing to be put in the charging case
Calls and the microphone worked OK
From about 120Hz up they sound really nice, lots of detail, sweet sounding even
Cons:
If bass is your thing forget it. The Specs say 20Hz-20Khz but thats not true, the roll off below 120Hz is pretty steep. I don't even like big bass but these just havent got any. I suspect its because these are buds and have to conserve battery life.

Bad battery life
I bought this product less than a year ago and the earbuds battery life is poor quality for the price. My earbuds no longer holds a charge and dies immediately. The audio quality was amazing as with many JBL products I own. For over $100 the poor battery longevity is poor. If anything I expected it to last two years like a normal phone battery.

Satisfied!
I test these earphones about a week ago:
- easy instructions
- good quality of sound/ bass, even the call quality was clear (microphone included
- still connceted when the gadget has a further distance then right next to you
- battery life still now I couldnt test, because i have not used for such a long time
- dual connect allows only to charge one headset and use the other one
- high quality design and very compact
- controll button outside; next song on the left/ break on the right side
- turn on/off automatically when removed from charging case; simply coupling
- unfortunately they often fall out of my ears, maybe its because of the missing silicone attachments for better fit
All in all, I am very satisfied-
listen to music and make calls hands-free.

As an android user who can't use IEMs, these are almost as comfortable as Airpods, plus BT5 gives them a very stable connection and the controls actually work with my galaxy. The audio is good for the price range. My only complaint is that they are not sweat resistant. Hopefully that will not cause a problem as I generally use them for running. Great sound and sleek look for the every day use.
The Tune225 ear buds have a fun package that they come in. However when I opened the package I seen the ear buds and they was close to what I see in the Apple product line. I love that they are black. They match most of my outfit choices. I do have small ear canals and was wondering if the ear buds would work. Of course not having the gummy end to change out to fit my ear kind of scared me. It did take me a coupe tries to put them in my ear. But I did it! They hurt a little so I wish these did have the gummies at the end to help with different ear sizes.
Now that I have them in and seeing the instructions I grabbed my phone and tried to pair the Tune 225 ear buds. Most other items pair right away but the phone would show the Tune225 ear buds and when I would press on the phone to pair the buds I was asked for a code. Well I did not see a code in the instructions. It took about thirty minutes to try to pair because it kept asking for a code.
Now that the Tune 225 ear buds are paired to my android phone I turned on the music. I had to play with the volume and channel change buttons of course. The sounds were great. Not much bass but I heard crystal clear sounds and quite enjoyable having a full sound system in my ears. They was fun and easy to navigate which is great since my hands have been having issues lately.
Next making a call with the Tune 225 ear buds was easy as well. I like that I got clear sound however the person I was talking to said they at times they could not hear me or I sounded muffled. I moved to an outside location and still had the same issue. At this point the Tune 225 ear buds started to make their way out of my ear. They kept sliding out but I don’t know if it is because I have small ear canals or do they just slip normally.
I was glad to get the Tune 225 ear buds. Great sound, color and design.

Listening to music is a wonderful. Bass sound is awesome right out of the box, will also get better after about 10 hours of use. Battery life is very good for music with plenty left for talking on the phone. Great value for the average price, much more affordable than the IPods. Would highly recommend!

Great Quality and Sound
I have had these for only a week so far. They look and feel very solid and of good quality. I had issues for the first couple of days. I use these for most of the day, connecting to my PC for video calls, listening to music via my phone when out and about, also have worn these when out running.
After being connected to the PC, they wouldn’t connect to my phone without re-pairing. Also, after my phone being connected to my car, I again couldn’t get these to connect back to my phone. I carried out a hard reset and they seem fine now, maybe just an initial glitch or maybe my phone was to blame.
They are not very good when outside in windy conditions and trying to make a phone call, they seem to easily pick up the wind noise, making it difficult to be heard, but when not windy they are great.
I’ve also ran with these and they sat perfectly in my ears with no issues at all. I’ve found the battery life to be fine, I put them in the case every few hours, so do not know how long they actually last. I find the sound quality to be exceptionally good, certainly better than my other Bluetooth ear buds.
They work great as a single earpiece or both together and seem to connect to each other seamlessly, also the controls work with no issues at all when answering and ending calls.
Other than my initial issues, I have found these to be an excellent set of ear buds with great sound quality that I would expect from JBL.

Incredibly disappointing
When I first bought these I was very excited because they looked cool however my excitement wore off quickly as within a month I started to have problems with them. They claim to have a battery life of 3 hours but they barely seemed to last 2. The right earbud would sometimes just not charge at all and I started to notice a greenish discolouration and what looked like erosion on the charging pins in the case and at the bottom of the earbuds themselves. I communicated this to customer service and they sent out a new pair. However this new pair started to have the same issues. I didn’t really understand how the earbuds were showing such signs of damage seeing as I only really used them while working out and I was very careful with them. I contacted customer service again and they basically told me that I should try to clean the headphones which was an incredibly disappointing response. If you’re looking at buying a pair of wireless earbuds there are much cheaper and far more reliable options on the market.

Good Headphones, Bad Personalized Case
The headphones are great, I have no problems with them. The only bad part of this product with the customized image on the charging case. I had the case for two days and the paint already started chipping away; the only thing I had in my pocket with the headphone case was a stick of chapstick. So, I’m not sure what made the paint start to chip off. I’ve had them for about a week and even more paint has started chipping off on different spots of the custom image.
I love JLB, so it kills me writing anything negative about them. So I’ll end on a good note- If you get this product, without a custom image, I highly suggest them. They’re not noise cancelling, but they’re still fantastic sound. Deep bass and pleasant mids and highs.

Great range of tone, favors phone pairing HEAVILY
Recently picked these up as an alternate for times when my main set needs to charge, or if I want to save space on a day trip -- it also helps that I'm previewing them for a relative who is scouting versatile earbuds. They excel in small form factor design and a sleek matte finish. Audio quality is great, but there's a niggling 2% room that prevents a great "noise canceling" feel. The device performs well on audio and video calls, and the access to rechargability is a huge 'PLUS'.
***
However, the process to pair this device to a PC is less forgiving. I've read through my manual and quick-start guide and there's no mention of the 'PIN' the computer will request. Message boards led me to try the '0000' '1111' and '1234' combinations, but those did not prove successful.

Starting out -- first 2 weeks -- they were pretty good with generally OK audio quality; after those 2 weeks the rubber on the earbuds started to come out and led to a really sharp edge that constantly scratched my ear every time I would put them in, which was actively painful.
Had them for 1 month now and they have basically stopped pairing with my iPhone altogether. I've gotten them to work probably once out of 15 tries but it's always something convoluted like making it forget the device then something else.
Would not recommend at all, wouldn't be worth $15 and for sure not $100

Crap.
Terrible product. A couple of months after I bought them, the rubber skin on the actual earbud part started peeling off. Apparently, this is a common problem, according to many reviews and threads. Then, a few months, the right earbud stopped working altogether. I have charged and recharged, and nothing. These earbuds have not been damaged in any way that would cause such problems.
I have placed some calls to JBL customer service. The only thing worse than the earbuds is the customer service. Apart from some obliagatory "Sorry to hear that; I understand your frustration", JBL refuses to stand behind their product. If it weren't for their terrible customer service, I'be willing to try another JBL earbuds.

This is a terrible product. Paired with one computer that then dies and I haven't been able to pair it with any other device. JBL wont help.
