I bought this around July, and I knew I should've gotten an headset with out an wire. About an two months the headphones wire is still in decision if it wants to give up or not. Any sort of movement to the wire ruins the whole sound and the only way it goes back to normal is moving the wire into a certain position, that I waist more time doing than actually listening to music.

Extraordinary sounds
The JBL Quantum 100 sound is really amazing while playing the game I could hear the sound effects really good and the bass and music really blended in perfect. I love the cushion on the ears and the head. It feels really good when you are wearing them and they don't feel cheap at all. I like the mic I just which it could of had a rotating feature to it but it bends to your liking. The wire is not bad but I wish it could of had a bluetooth option as well. It has a sporty look which is cool that you match up with many gaming gear looks. As always you can trust JBL for great quality products.

Can't use it yet -- needed adapter for PC
I bought this headset because it advertised it would fit all platforms, including PC. It's plug didn't work with my PC. Needed to buy an adapter to make it work. Still waiting for the adapter. It has a 4 conductor plug. My PC has 2 jacks -- Mic and Headphone. The two don't work together without a one-to-two adapter.

Do not recommend, terrible sound quality
I had just broken my HyperX cloud II, and decided to finally transition over to these after getting them as a Christmas present. I was listening to music when I broke the old headset, so I obviously went back to listening, and immediately it seems to be incapable of playing certain instruments or sounds. I tried watching some Youtube and I can only hear speaking in my right ear and it is far too quiet.

Lightweight, comfortable, quality sound and mic
I have been looking for a new headset for a while and went with these as a result of being happy with other JBL products. The headphones are lightweight but are made with quality materials. I can't tell if the earpieces are replaceable. The removable microphone has excellent pickup quality, and the jack is recessed with the shape of a pill cross-section with the jack offset to one side, such that the mic does not swivel. The cord is not removable, but seems to be of high quality.
The most outstanding feature, to me, is comfort. The size, shape, angle, and cushion of the circumaural cups makes them easy to wear with glasses on, and they do not give me a headache. The headband cushion is wide and textured, and does not pull at my hair like many faux-leather cushions do.
They do not come with an adapter to split the 3.5 mm jack into separate headset and mic jacks, so for those with a PC that require this setup to use a headset, that item will need to be purchased separately or, as in my case, already owned.
The analog volume control and SPST push button mic control are a nice touch. And after a few years of using a wireless headset, it's very convenient to never worry about whether or not my headset is charged.
Overall, I would recommend these and may be interested in one of the higher-tier Quantum headsets, if they only came in color schemes that were somewhat less brash.

Cracks appearing after a month
I bought this a month ago, Dec 26th to be exact. It arrived December 27, I've been using it for a month as my main headset and about a week ago, I noticed a crack on the right hinge. Today (2/1/23) the crack got worse and now my right ear cup doesn't seal and it feels loose on my head. In fairness to the product, the headset always felt a little tight on my head and the detachable mic sounds great. Still disappointed that the headset didn't last me longer.

Lightweight, durable, great JBL sound!
I bought this for my daughter to use for online school, but everybody in the house is using them ! They're lightweight and durable which is more than I can say for some of the other brands I've been able to pick up. Plus, she loves wearing them for extended periods!

Excellent entry gaming headset!
The Quantum 100 is a great headset. The sound quality is fantastic for this price point and rivals my Sennheiser PC 373D in terms of clarity. The microphone also sounds great and I love the fact that it is removable and has a mute button.
The only lowpoints are that the ear cups are made of a vinyl-type material which sticks to my head, the ear cup depth is fairly shallow, so my ears touch the "bottom" of the headset, the cord is a little short at 4 ft, and the headset lacks some of the bass a higher priced headset includes.
I recommend this headset to anyone who's looking for the best value in a dedicated gaming or general use headset.

My Son and I have been looking for a good gaming head set for some time. We tried other brands but immediately returned them as they were uncomfortable and the sound quality was poor. The Quantum 100 has far surpassed both of our expectations. It has a rich base, very clear sound, and is extremely comfortable. We use it for the PC, several gaming consoles, a piano, and VR headset. I can honestly say it almost sounds better than not having any headset on at all. It brings you closer to the sound but almost makes the experience more immersive. The microphone works very well and other gamers confirmed our voice is coming through perfectly clear. I am a fan of wireless sets but I love the simplicity of this. The removable microphone makes this extremely versatile and is a great option for listening to music on your phone or any other device. Wireless is great but it is unfortunate when your batter is dying. This is an awesome option to have instead or in addition to. I did receive this product as part of a promotional review. However, I was in the market for as I previously mentioned. The price is very reasonable compared to other wired headsets but none of the ones I tried (and returned) compare to the sound and voice quality of this one. It is very comfortable and the over-the-ear design allows you to wear it for hours on end without experiencing any discomfort on the ears. I would highly recommend this product for anyone in the market for a quality headset at a reasonable price. I am a huge fan of JBL and switched all my audio needs to them after years of being disappointed with other big brand vendors in the sound industry. JBL certainly continues to impress me and the Quantum 100 is another product that reaffirms my positive experience.

Hardly knew they were on!
First of all I’m not a gamer, but love comfortable headphones. I was not sure how well they would feel or last before removing them if they were uncomfortable These are very comfortable and didn’t realize they were on till after a 2 hour movie (Venom). Sound was really good and clear. Low bass, but I never adjusted my amp to see. Overall these are tight!

The sound from these is excellent. My BF is using them for gaming and really gets immersed in the game.
With the recent pandemic my family has been keeping in touch thru Skype/Zoom calls.These headphones are working great for that.
I've even plugged them into my phone to listen to music. So crystal clear.
Next I'll try a movie on my laptop!.

These headphones don't come with all the items necessary to use them. Tried to connecting to my PC and said I need a USB cable or dongle, just wish that would have been noted somewhere so I could use them right away. Disappointed.

Not as good as I hoped. Can not hear all the sounds in my games that I can hear with my slightly more expensive Turtle Beach Headset. Definitely good enough quality that I gifted the headset to a friend who is happy to have it with no complaints as she has nothing to compare it to as I do. Thank you for an affordable headset with decent quality sound. Disappointed to not get full bass spectrum for gaming. Slightly fell short. Overall very satisfied for cost. Light weight is amazing!!! Turtle Beach cant compete on weight. They are heavy compared. Thank you for going light weight!!!

The design is great but I expected so much more from JBL. The construction materials are cheap and the performance is equivalent to my $14 logitec headset. The sound is good, the mic is fine but volume dial below max is useless and the cord is way too short.

Good quality, however splitter is required for PC.
I bought this at my local Gamestop and while the sound quality and microphone quality are decent, a splitter is required for PC to make the both the microphone and audio function. Overall, this is a good product however advertising it as working on PC is a small bit misleading.

Choosing an affordable wired headset isn't very simple these days. The marketplace has a plethora of wireless options in different forms and sizes. Not to mention the wide price points and technological options. This is where the JBL quantum 100 nails it with simplicity.

Decent headphones for an affordable price
I bought these headphones the first day they got released online. When playing games on my Xbox, these have good (not excellent sound. If you are used to Surround sound headphones, I'd definitely skip these as you'll notice these as a downgrade. Decent base as well. If sound is cracked all the way up, there is a noticeable slight cracking of the headphones. The least part about this is the mic. All my friends in the party chat can here my clicking, even when I adjust some mic levels. I will note that the build quality is lacking as there is plenty of cheaper style plastic being used. Try not to abuse them. Overall, $40 is $40, good for a beginner or budget gamer.

The Mic Not Working Is Very Common
I keep running across people like me who can't get this to work as anything other than headphones. I did call customer support, but it was just a phone bank somewhere, and they had no idea what I was talking about. Seriously, this is wasted money, and maybe you can waste it, but to me that was two days' worth of food that I can't get back. The headphones are at least very loud, which is great, but the cord is so short you have to stay real close to the computer. It's not literally the worst thing in the world, just a rip-off. And I will never see that thirty again.

Good for the price wish they lasted longer
I bought these a couple months ago. I was looking for over ear headphones that had good sound quality and had a mic I could use if I was playing games. They are super comfortable, pretty good sound quality for the price. I like that the mic is removable for when I just want to use them as normal headphones and not a headset. Unfortunately in less than 3 months with frequent but gentle use the wire by the jack has to be at a specific angle for the left side to work. It would have been 5 stars if they didn't break so quickly.

Comfortable, good quality headphones
I was very impressed by the product for the price. I have never had super expensive ones, but needed a replacement for my standard one ear Xbox mic and these had good reviews. I am able to wear them comfortably for hours and I am able to hear well.

The headset would not connect via the 3.5 mm connector. The quality was not impressive. When I tried to process the return, the JBL website would not recognize the order number, even though the headset was ordered directly from JBL.

My Wife bought the Quantum 100 for are grandson and the mic quit working two days after Christmas, Call support and got some guy that I couldn't hear sounded like he was mumbling on the phone tried every thing even a different controller and nothing wast of money

Just recently received my JBL QUANTUM 100 and I couldn’t be happier. It’s very lightweight so you don’t even feel it on. As always with JBL the sounds are astounding. The flexible and removable mic is also an awesome feature with the ability to mute at a single touch of a button. Works well on any platform and is excellent for private video chats and video appointments with your loved ones or Doctor. I even tried with my MacBook Pro FaceTime feature and it worked great. Super highly recommended.

Mic broke after 2 weeks of use.
Was happy with this product, I was expecting JBL quality. But the mic stopped working, my guess wires broke because it's floppy now.
Can't find replacement microphone, cost almost as much as buying a new headset.

MAKE SURE TO BUY A 3.5MM SPLITTER
I bought it cuz it was on sale. I have the JBL vibe earbuds that I use at work but I needed something for my computer at home. Overall satisfied with the product but if your computer is set up to have separate audio channels you will need a 3.5mm splitter to use this.

Too heavy headphones
I received this headphones and they are too heavy. It gave me a headache. Not recommended if you are using it for work related purposes. Moreover, they don’t replace it with any other product May be because they know this product is not that good. I even offered them to take the product back and don’t return my money. But they have a very lame policy in place. When you allow your product to be returned from other retailers then why not here. Plus what about the user experience. I don’t think they pay any heed to it. Certainly not buying anything from them again and never recommending this to anyone.

Good headphones, done the job.
Bought these to use for online lectures etc, I’m a student and wanted decent sound quality to drown out background noise. They’re very comfortable and sound good, no bells and whistles but I didn’t want any.

Bought it so that I could hear and be heard better during work and hangout zoom calls. It Does the job and they are the most comfortable pair of headphones I have owned. I am happy that I invested more that $10 for a pair of headphones lol

Excellent Versatility!
I've owned a few different brands of gaming headsets and this is by far my favorite unit. Compatible with virtually all platforms. The mic is detachable. They fit completely over your ear and are the most comfortable that iv'e worn. You can have a marathon session wearing these. The sound is what you would expect from a JBL product. They sound fantastic. The cord is more than long enough. It's a very simple plug and play set up. Very lightweight and have the feel of a very durable unit. You don;t need to worry about throwing these babies across the room after a bad beat. I would highly recommend these for any gamer in your life. A lot of bang for the buck!

Title: Avoid at All Costs — JBL Quantum 100
If I could give negative stars, I would. I’ve had the misfortune of purchasing two JBL Quantum 100 headsets — and neither of them worked. That’s not bad luck. That’s a pattern of failure, plain and simple.
The first pair had audio that cut in and out like a busted radio from the 1950s — right out of the box. The second pair? The mic was completely dead. I tested across multiple devices, swapped out cables, tried different jacks — no fix. These weren’t flukes. This is a clear sign of defective manufacturing and nonexistent quality control.
And the problems don’t end with the hardware.
JBL’s customer support is equally abysmal. Vague troubleshooting suggestions, delayed replies, and no real solutions — just a carousel of canned responses. It’s frustrating, unhelpful, and shows a complete lack of accountability.
Worse still, when trying to register the product on JBL’s official site, I found that not a single African country is listed in their product registration form. That’s not just inconvenient — it’s outright exclusionary. So not only do they ship broken products, but they also make it clear some customers don’t even matter to them.
This headset is marketed to gamers, streamers, and remote workers — people who rely on quality audio and communication. But this product can’t even do the bare minimum. Comfort, design, branding — none of that matters when the core functionality is broken.
JBL, you’re a big name. Start acting like it. The Quantum 100 is a complete embarrassment to your brand and a waste of time, money, and patience for your customers.
Do yourself a favor and skip these entirely. There are better options out there — made by companies that actually care.

Exactly what I was looking for.
I got these for my son to use with his Playstation and he loves them. He says they're perfect for this because they're light and comfortable and the sound is HUGE! His words. I had to try them for myself. I completely agree with him. The sound is everything you'd expect from JBL. The memory foam earpads block the ambient noise without over squeezing and the detachable Mic. keeps things out of the way until you need it. When it's not in the way but don't need it you can just mute it with the push of a button. If the volume isn't right you can control that too with a rotary dial next to the mute button. I might have to get another pair for me and at this price, I think I will.

Great entry level gaming headset
Have been using this headset with Xbox for a few weeks now, and have been extremely satisfied with the sound quality and comfort. Highly recommend for someone who isn’t willing to drop a lot of money on a fancy headset

it bought it less than 2 weeks ago. it sounds good and comfortable BUT, the size adjustment part is already loose and doesn't stay put. it moves even by shaking the headphones a little.

Comfortable headphones
I purchased these noise-canceling headphones specifically for work. I wear headphones continuously throughout the workday, and these are exceptionally comfortable, with soft ear cushions and a lightweight design that doesn’t cause fatigue during extended use.

These headphones sounds really great! The mic is real clear and crisp, and doesn't come across muddy or distorted when other's hear my voice. The one con though is the cheap plastic it's made of. I found the headphones to be flimsy and capable of possible breakage with extended usage. They are lightweight and easy on the ears. I do like that the mic can be taken off in case you need to use the headphones for other purposes.

Price to Quality Ratio 10/10
Pretty comfy for many hours. Sounds pretty good. cord seems sturdy and just the right length. Mic on/off button is nice. Although, pushing it in = off which seems backwards to me. Doesn't get very loud but not at all a problem for me, its plenty loud. Probably a good headset to prevent kids from blowing out their eardrums. This is a very excellent headset for the price.

Love the JBL Quantum 100 gaming headphones! The sound is amazing to start with. I can’t get over how COMFORTABLE they are, and with the adjustable size, they fit every member of my household. Best yet, they come at a great, very reasonable price! Thanks for the outstanding product as always, JBL!

Stopped working in less than a week
At first they worked wonderful and then around the 3rd or 4th day I started having to wiggle the plug around to get sound and by the 5th there is no sound anymore.

Received these bad boys and immediately got to testing out the capabilities and was immediately surprised by the sound stage especially gaming on my Xbox. Sound was crisp and clear and especially on call of duty. You can hear people running behind you and that gave you a quick heads up to be ready to take them down. The mic was impressive also. Nice and clear with no lag. So I’m overall impressed with the build of the headphones and even listening for a couple of hours/ gaming, I had no head fatigue where they would hurt on other brands. Very comfy. These are my go to right now for gaming.

Amazing Sound! Look Great! Feel Tight!
Just bought these as an upgrade from my current PS4 headphones (rhymes w/ Burtle Teach). And they absolutely are an upgrade!! The sound quality is amazing and they are really great with noice canceling. Only issue I have is they’re a bit too snug against my head. But overall definitely worth the price, would ABSOLUTELY recommend for any online gamer.

Easy to Use and Very Functional
This gaming headset is very well designed, the buttons are very easy to find, not so small you can't find them in a hurry and not so big they just stick out. The volume control is a very nice function not just for gaming but when using these for other uses such as video conferencing. They are very comfortable and the part of the headset that rests on your head is nicely padded to allow for extended use without discomfort. The volume is more than loud enough for any of your needs but may be slightly less than some people desire for gaming. I really like that I can use these for video conferencing and I've been doing this a lot lately. For the price, I'd say these headphones are definitely worth the money you'd pay - comfort, sound, ease of use, and well made are all part of their value. As with all of the JBL brand speakers, headsets, earbuds, and bluetooth speakers I've owned, this headset seems to be something that'll give you the performance and quality you'd expect from JBL.

Great, for a few months at least.
These were my go to headphones for my Xbox one since I purchased them on May 8th. They worked amazing—trust me, but after a few months now they’ve suddenly stopped working completely. I do not regret the purchase whatsoever, I knew I would get what I paid for but I’m still disappointed my favorite headset had such a short life.

Nothing Special, Malfunctioned Immediatly
The microphone broke within my second time using it, now I'm out 40 dollars and need to buy a new microphone, which I need for work. With that being said, as far as headphones are concerned they sound great for the price, exactly what I was looking for. Just wish I could count on what I purchase to work.

All Around Another JBL Quality Product
Primarily use the Quantum 100 for Zoom meetings. The most outstanding feature, to me, is comfort. The size, shape, angle, and cushion of the ear cups makes them easy to wear with glasses on, and over-earfeel is light weight.
Super lightweight and comfortable for wearing all day
The microphone also sounds great and I love the fact that it is removable and has a mute button.
And after a few years of using a wireless headset, it's very convenient to never worry about whether or not my headset is charged, no charging necessary.
Good quality amazing sound,when talking to people it sounds like they're next to you. Microphone is very clear.

Good quality sound and a wonderful microphone. My middle schoolers are having no trouble with their Zoom classes. (I just hope that the mic cord can stand up to being moved a lot. We will see.. I just recommended them to my group of 50 other surprise-homeschooling parents.

I purchased these headphones yesterday after watching reviews on the great mic quality. Although the quality of the mic was great, the sound of the game was poor. If you plan on using these headphones in any FPS games then i do not recommend this product. It will be hard to hear enemy footsteps and the sound of the game overall. For the price however, there shouldn't be much to expect and I am sure that there may be other games that are more fitted for a headphone of this kind. I am a fan of JBL but for this pair headphones personally, i was disappointed.

Great headset for working from home
The headset my company sent me for remote work had small, on-ear cups that gave me headaches after an hour.
I've been wearing this headset 8 hours a day for a week and it's great! Super comfortable, works fine.
Only issue is that it does drop in and out a little bit every once in awhile, but I also have it connected through a USB adapter so my phone system recognizes it, so I imagine is the problem. The plus is that this headset does actually connect through a USB adapter which is hugely helpful. Definitely worth it!!

Great Gaming Headphones!
Got these in the middle of quarantine and they have been great! I have the older XBox One controller to I had to buy an adapter piece to connect them but it was so worth it (found one for less than $5). These headphones let me choose sounds to play off of the TV and through my headphones at the same time. Great buy!

It’s an OK product.
It is a good product for gaming. Microphone is very clear. Sound is natural. You can hear steps and shots and everything else. They are extremely light, and the around the ear pad is very comfortable. The quality of the built Is not very good. The plastic feels cheap to the touch. It feels like if you drop them they’ll break.

Excellent - My Daughter Loves it!
We searched many brands and colors when my daughter started gaming once we all needed to stay at home due to COVID-19 pandemic... She liked this one right from the start, but it was not released yet so she choose another one. Turns out that one got caught on a "slow boat" from another country and never made it. So when that order cancelled and we resumed our search, my daughter ordered the white JBL Quantum 100 and received the ones she really wanted. Everything happens for a reason!

Great starter headphones, good all-around!
Bought these because I needed decent over-ear headphones that didn't cost a fortune. Loving these so far! The sound is really crisp and clear , especially when gaming, and they're very light and comfortable to wear over several hours. Mic also sounds great. Only downside is the bass range isn't very full (still, not bad by any means) if you're listening to music, and the headphones do slide around if I tip my head back. Also the blue color is closer to the product pictures (bluish-gray), rather than the promo pic you see when scrolling down.
