IOGEAR'S USB 3.0 Universal Docking Station quickly and easily transforms your laptop, Ultrabook or Microsoft Surface Pro tablet into a full-featured workstation. This universal dock is an all-in-one solution to the latest port-deficient laptops and tablets. It allows you to connect as many as 10 devices to your laptop through a single high speed USB 3.0 cable that offers speeds up to ten times faster than the previous USB 2.0 standard. It does not charge computer
I just got this in and followed the steps EXACTLY. However, it says its compatable with with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. My O.S is Windows 10. So it is not EXACTLY "universal"

Best thing that ever happened to My Hp Notebook
All features listed for My Pavilion 15 Notebook worked just as if the IOGEAR Docking Station was already a part of the My Notebook. Nothing needed to be looked into extensively to work the USB's, Video, HDMI, Headphone and microphone. Now I have enough extra input for additional external DVD drives, Digital Drives, hookup to TVs,

Docking station for my new HP ENVY 13t laptop
This kit took care of all my needs to set up my new laptop to function as a desktop. I was able to hook up my old Samsung display with the adapter provided and connect my keyboard, speakers and external hard drive with with ports to spare.

Working well
I have bought numerous cheaper usb hubs, but they have failed to work with my printer, extra camera and memory sticks. So far this has worked well and I have had no problems.
