InVision Ethernet Cradles allow users to synchronize data remotely without a direct connection to a desktop PC. The cradle can be connected to any Ethernet connection in the enterprise allowing location-independent data synchronization as well as access to files, Local Area Networks (LANs), and the Internet. Handheld users connect to server-resident data via server-based synchronization software and charge their device at the same time.
An InVision Ethernet Cradle is easy to install and use, offering the same single-button/automatic synchronization as a standard synchronization cradle, requiring only a power source and an Ethernet connection. Using DHCP servers already in place on most LANs, the cradle is assigned an IP address automatically and does not impact the existing network infrastructure.
