IMC McBasic

The McBasic series of low-cost, fixed configuration media converters include many of the advanced features of larger, more expensive media converters at a fraction of the cost. McBasic is uniquely designed to provide a single conversion between:

10 Mbps Ethernet 10Base-T twisted pair, 10Base-2 thin coax, 10Base-FL 850nm multi-mode, 1300nm multi-mode and single-mode fiber, or
100 Mbps Fast Ethernet 100Base-TX twisted pair, 100Base-FX multi-mode and single-mode fiber

Fiber connections support 850nm multi-mode, 1300nm multi-mode and 1300nm single-mode fiber
TX connections support Auto-Negotiate feature to ensure highest possible connection rates
Includes LinkLoss and FiberAlert features that automatically notify network managers of "silent failures"
10 Mbps version support Half- and Full-Duplex operation
100 Mbps versions feature selectable auto-negotiate
Switch-selectable crossover/pass-through on twisted pair connections
Switch-selectable termination on BNC ports
Available with low or high power single mode fiber optic transmitters
SC or ST connectors available for all fiber ports
