Rated 5 out of 5 by from Backup and disaster recovery made seamless and cost-effective What is our primary use case? We use it for backup and disaster recovery. What is most valuable? The best feature in the product is that it's expandable, which is why I appreciate this product. It is not just expansive, but rather scalable. It is very easy to integrate with infrastructure and other products since we have 90% of HPE in our farm, making it very integrated. What needs improvement? Regarding disadvantages, I don't think the product can be improved as there are no areas for enhancement. If they were to update HPE ProLiant DL Servers in the future, I would not want to see any new features as we have no necessity for other features. Everything I need is already present. There is currently no artificial intelligence in the product. It would actually be helpful to have some features with AI. We are trying to start a project of AI on-premise, so we want features that can utilize artificial intelligence on-premise. We have many regulatory requirements here that are different from Italian or other global requirements, so we need artificial intelligence capabilities that I am not able to express fully in English. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this product for three years because we have three HPE ProLiant DL Servers. What was my experience with deployment of the solution? We have no problem with installation as it is straightforward to set up. The deployment process is good, and we have made the deployment by ourselves. It takes us two days to deploy the product. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The product is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is difficult for me to respond on how HPE ProLiant DL Servers handle workload peaks in my environment. How are customer service and support? We are very happy with the support. If I were to rate support, I would give it a perfect score. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I have no complaints as I can integrate solutions however I want. How was the initial setup? We do not have a solution on cloud as it is all on-premise here. We are in Vatican City and we are all on-premise. What about the implementation team? The deployment process is good, and we have made the deployment by ourselves. What was our ROI? HPE ProLiant DL Servers are saving me some money and I see some ROI. In terms of percentage, I am saving from 5 to 10%. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I do not think it is an expensive product. I'm satisfied with the pricing as we have made a comparison with other vendors and found that HP is more economical. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We have compared HPE to other products as we work with some other vendors such as Dell and Lenovo. When comparing HP to Lenovo and Dell, Lenovo is more aggressive with the price, trying to enter Vatican City with competitive prices, but all three are very similar in hardware for our needs. From a technological standpoint, they are quite similar. What other advice do I have? I am still using this product and I work with some new technologies today. I have no favorite functionality in the product. On a scale of one to ten, I rate HPE ProLiant DL Servers a nine out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use? Other Disclaimer: My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Addresses end-to-end customer needs and improves data center efficiency What is our primary use case? My customers' usual use cases for HPE ProLiant DL Servers range from development, web hosting, to mail hosting, and HPC platforms, with many use cases. Many customers have done virtualization using VMware, Microsoft, or Nutanix platforms with their HPE ProLiant DL Servers. HPE ProLiant DL Servers can take up to 4 TB memory and can go up to 32 drives when it comes to scalability, plus they can take up to 16 ports of Ethernet or fiber combination. HPE ProLiant DL Servers facilitate AI-driven projects for my customers, and some of the models are specifically built for AI. What is most valuable? The features and capabilities of HPE ProLiant DL Servers that I have found most valuable include having the latest generation with the latest ASIC 7 chip, which gives an edge over all other competitive servers. It can perform a silicon root of trust to reduce attacks, with sensors in the servers that really matter when there is a heat condition or an AC failure in the data center. HPE ProLiant DL Servers are meant for data centers only, and they have 100% customer acceptance to be used in data centers. What needs improvement? Customers are still not using the fullest capability of HPE ProLiant DL Servers. Though it has been enhanced, customers are yet to start using their capabilities. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with HPE ProLiant DL Servers for almost 20 years now. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The scalability of HPE ProLiant DL Servers deserves a rating of 10. How are customer service and support? The technical support and customer service for HPE ProLiant DL Servers is pretty good because in India, based on the service agreements that you have, you will get service accordingly. I would rate it as nine. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive How was the initial setup? My experience with the initial setup of HPE ProLiant DL Servers is very easy, as it has menu-driven OS deployments, and any person who has a good understanding of an OS can do a deployment quickly. It usually takes one and a half to two hours max to deploy an HPE ProLiant DL server, including OS installation. The initial setup of HPE ProLiant DL Servers deserves a rating of 10 as it is very easy. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The pricing of HPE ProLiant DL Servers depends purely on the configuration, and it is not affordable. However, if you look at the technical caliber of the server, if a customer invests that additional extra money, we are sure that they are going to gain from it, but the price remains expensive. What other advice do I have? The AI engines that HPE ProLiant DL Servers suggest for their customers include NVIDIA graphics and EnvyLink graphics for AI customers. The AI engines are more than sufficient for the current situation. HPE ProLiant DL Servers address end-to-end customer needs. It is a perfect combination with the generation 12 now, and there are absolutely no gaps. Customers usually deploy HPE ProLiant DL Servers on-premises, as on cloud, they do not have the option to specify the server model, and the cloud vendors will not specify which server it is. My usual deployment process involves checking the power AC requirements, power and cooling requirements, then the rack requirements, and then I proceed to deploy the servers based on the customer requirement. I rate HPE ProLiant DL Servers 10 out of 10. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises Disclaimer: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.integrator
