Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mirror raid Z840 install. Wanted mirror boot capability for my Z840 ProxMox server. Put in 2 Samsung 870 sticks. At first 2nd stick wasn't found. The Z840 supports bifurcation. For both sticks to be seen by the bios you have to set the bifurcation to 4. Booted to ProxMox install ISO set to raid mirror and was off running. No problems or issues. Installed HP H240 HBA with 8 SAS HDD ZFS format. VM replication to second ProxMox with ZFS format and additional ZFS share pool. 1500W UPS PowerPanel connected to both Nodes. All works great. Only issues are operator induced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incompatibility / Restocking fee I tried swapping my two NVMe drives in various configurations on the card and in various PCIe slots but only one of the drives was recognized for any given attempt. It would recognize either drive in either slot on the card, but would not recognize one or other of the hard drives when both were installed on the card. This was disappointing, but the real disappointment came when I returned it and was charged a restocking fee. I do not appreciate paying 15 bucks to find out that this card was either defective (probably not) or, more likely, is incompatible with my model even though it was listed as compatible in the paperwork. If I had bought a generic one from Amazon it would have been $80 cheaper. To be fair, it still probably would not have worked, but I would have gotten all my money back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Embarrassment to HP Literature not clear thst actual SSD module is not included. No instructions. Once installed, does not work. Purchased $20 equivalent through Amazon and worked immediately. Poor documentation. Poor support. Poor marketing.
