Well before my purchase, one of your agents told me my new PC did not have an ethernet connection and that I would have to buy the adapter. Well as it turns out, my new PC has an ethernet connection. On a chat with a rep on Monday about sending it back and getting a refund. Was told you would get back to me.... NOT A WORD

Gives me the Blue Screen of Death
Apparently not compatible with HP Envy laptop. When I plug it in I get internet alright, but I also get the Blue Screen of Death several times I day. My laptop is new, by the way. When I use wifi only, I get no Blue screens at all.

One of my favorite accessories.
For my new Spectre x360 - 13. I'm able to take fool advantage of my 100Mps fiber optic internet service. Neat little green and amber LEDs to indicate activity. Wi-Fi is okay but nothing beats a good wire connection.

Performed as expected on HP Pavillion x360 laptop
The quality seems good. It's compact. It worked well. It got warm to the touch. Because it performed a single function (ethernet) and used my USB-C port, and because I need more USB ports on my laptop, I have stopped using it and have switched to an adaptor that has ethernet plus 3 USB ports (Belkin). That adaptor also gets warm. So, that may be the way ethernet adaptors behave. I have never needed an external ethernet adaptor (my previous laptop had an ethernet port built in) but now that my new laptop doesn't have a built in RJ45 ethernet port, and I want a cat6 hard wire connection, the adaptor is required. I'll save this adaptor as a backup.
