Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Buy. This hub is great for use. It is not like a mini sized ones there on market, but is solidly built with braided wire. So this should last for a long time. It also supports fast charging for USB-C, so that is a good use to charge laptop from it or other devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice for what it does... This is a nice little dock for what it does, but I misinterpreted the dual monitor ports for dual monitor capability, which it does not have. It's a shame because I have a two monitor setup that I was hoping to use this with. Ok for what it does have, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wasn't helpful for VGA monitors. This did not work with our VGA monitors. Tried to set up my kids with these and the system was a bust. Will be purchasing another larger HP docking system for my son. HP has a larger one that did work for my daughter. We purchsed this one for the portability of the unit. Bummer it didn't work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Costly, and do not understand why they shipped it I have not yet needed to use this so it gets 2 stars for looking nice on the reserve table. I ordered this with a laptop and had to cancel the order. after doing so within their one hour cancelation rule, they cancelled the laptop but still decided they needed to ship this. Because it plugs into the USB style port on their computer and not on any I have here, it is a very expensive paper weight. Even for what it is, Is very costly. In the future I would not order this from HP, there are other products that do the same thing for a lot less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good computer, but more expensive This computer is working well. it is faster than my old 2 core Asus machine, but not by as much as i expected. A Matlab program on this machine ran in 35 seconds and in 46 on the old 2 core. Good computer, but more expensive than it should be. i expect more for the high price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features This is a well built unit. Solid and has the slot to tuck the cord out of the way. I really like that it has a VGA port. It makes it perfect for use with my laptop. When I work form home I hook up my laptop to a 24" monitor and it makes working so much better. Overall a really nice product that I would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy for a charge Has, Usb 3.0, usb super speed, Ethernet, vga, hdmi plugs. Small, compact size, lightweight. Charged by iPhone and iPad very quickly. I haven’t tried the other plugs yet. Very handy to have when you need a charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make sure your Laptop USB-C connection supports video output to Extend Display This rating reflects my experience with the product and follow-up with HP Support and not specifically the product itself. I initially contacted HP Support for them to recommend a Hub/Docking Station that would allow me to connect my HP Laptop with two separate HP monitors and they recommended this product. However, after connecting the Mini Dock as instructed the two monitors still didn't work. Bottom line is my laptop's USB-C connector does not support external video - only through HDMI and not USB-C. HP does not sell any product to solve my issue per HP Support, so I went to Amazon and ordered a single USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI splitter adapter from a third-party vendor. It took me about 15 minutes to set it up and it works flawlessly. I am thrilled I finally solved the issue but was terribly disappointed with HP Support. It seemed I knew more about what the problem was and how to solve it than HP Support. I'm sure the product works great if used in the correct application. Very disappointing!

Wrist strap is useful also to keep tabs on it when I am not using it for my laptop. Really useful product.

Maybe it’s because of the vga display that makes it that big, I don’t know. the design of the cord storage is clever, it clips into the back, I thought I would be able to hook it on the something while I travel. The clip on the back is hardy strong enough for that. It looks like a keychain but it’s the size of a tv remote. Works just fine, plugs into my Mac, no setup required.

Ethernet especially was a big plus on this hub for me, as well as the ability to charge with type C. Good size and good quality and it feels like it will last a long time. Perfect to throw in my work bag and always have it ready.

I've tried everything...can't get this to work at all. I've seen others on this site say the same thing. Misery loves company, I guess. Take a pass and find another option. I feel like all I did was pad HP's wallet.

I use it a lot of times in the business center at hotels I'm staying at to hook up to their monitors so I can use my personal laptop. If I already didn't have a docking station at home this would work as well. Recommended

This is a perfect option to keep using my perfectly fine laptop with those devices. Works seamlessly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use - Convenient This mini-dock is very easy to use, and it works. I have used it on my laptop, connecting it to an HDMI monitor and an external mouse and keyboard. It works reliably, and it makes it easier and more convenient to use my laptop on my home office desk - just one connection to make and all my peripherals are up and running. Wires and cables are out of the way and my desk is much neater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Dock Great size; Fits in my bag for travel! The dock and USB-C cable have good quality construction. I have found no problems with it yet. One thing to mention. The USB-C port on it is power only, and does not allow data transfer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could be better I use it with my ENVY 15t-ep000 laptop (LT) because of the limited number of ports. It works good, but I would prefer that it had a DVI connector rather than a VGA (or an option on one or the other). I like to minimize the number of disconnects when I go portable. It doesn't have an audio port, so I still have to make that connection directly to the LT along with the power and USB-C to the Mini Dock. It would also be nice if it had more standard USB ports, since I still use them for my old HP printer and HP separate scanner. I merely added a USB port extender to one of the two USB ports. I also miss my old power on/off button on my old A7E34 Docking Station. I didn't have to lift the top to power up with the A7E34. It is small and portable if I want to take it with me, but I rarely do that, so I would prefer it had more of the mentioned capability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight I had just purchased a new laptop when I realized I needed a USB dock. I got the HP USB C mini dock and absolutely love it. When I got the dock home I thought the box was empty but no the dock was very lightweight. Which is wonderful for transporting it wherever I need it. Another great feature is the cord has a storage spot on the bottom of the dock. This allows the dock to lay flat on either side. The cable is ver thick, and durable. I even love the blackish white color. With this mini dock I am able to charge while I work. I can expand my workspace by plugging in a drive to the mini dock. Love how it has both the HDMI and VGA port. This mini dock allows me more freedom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent I was extremely excited upon receiving the mini dock as I needed one for work. I was disappointed as when I had one monitor connected to my computer it worked great but once i connected the second one, the other monitor stopped working. I tried both monitors separately and they each worked just fine. I was really looking forward to being able to have the 2 monitors plus my laptop so was disappointed in that. Otherwise it worked good.

I was slightly disappointed a power cord did not come with it, but that was easily remedied. This now lives in my laptop bag. Conveniently sized for on the go, though it would be pretty perfect to save space on my desk all the time.

It's well built & sturdy & hasn't had any malfunctions as of yet. The versatility of this thing is so cool & the size is very convenient. Overall great product!

The person who helped me on the phone when I ordered did not know that this docking station only allows one external monitor to be used at a time. I need 2 external monitors so am returning this product. Very misleading and disappointing.
