Not Built for Distance
I used this product for two days at my home office and it just died. Won’t take a charge now. It’s completely dead. Tried everything I could find through google to trouble shoot. It lasted two days for and was over $200. Horrible product.

Mid quality with Linux
My HP OmniBook 3 is running Ubuntu 26.04 and it feels like the dock was developed with only Windows drivers in mind. When I hot plug an external monitor on a DP port it doesn't always connect to the laptop unless I power cycle the dock. The dock's top panel power button has no function assigned to just pushing it normally and it's only useful for a full hardware reset. So I have to physically unplug and replug the power brick to the dock to get my external monitor (which is half of the reason I even needed a dock) to show up. Similar issues if I unplug the usb-c to the laptop and replug it: it's not always recognized and used until I power cycle the dock. Yes I did update the dock to latest dock firmware. Also kind of sad how port limited I still am even with a dock, I have to decide whether to not plug in my webcam or my external keyboard or my external DAC for my room audio system. Would it have been so hard to include just one more usb-c and two more usb-a (even just Gen 2)? Basic functionality is there but the final finish is really missing. I do realize it's technically up to the community to create Linux drivers for particular hardware. That doesn't change the fact that HP would strongly increase its market penetration if it were to develop reliable Linux drivers for the dock lineup and keep them current.

Works as intended
Those docking station works exactly as advertised. The only recommendation I have is to add more USB-C and and USB-A ports.

Not exactly compatible with non-HP products
I continually got the "peripheral connected/disconnected/no wait connected/now disconnected" sound in Windows when my non-HP laptop was locked. It just wasn't quite compatible. And the power button didn't work to turn on my machine. Oh well.

Simple setup
The dock is easy to use. I like the long PC cord so I can easily change from one laptop to another as needed

Great G6 dock
I purchased this dock and monitor bundle for my home office. It connected my laptop to a monitor and printer and meets all my needs. I needed a monitor for my home office and this bundle has been sufficient for my needs.

Great Docking Station
Glad I decided to build a full system - this docking station saves me set-up time. I just plug my laptop in, make sure the monitors are turned on, and I’m “at work” in minutes.
